Archangel Cassiel Morningstar of the Heavenly Host is a mentioned character in Hazbin Hotel: Journey to the Light.
Cassiel is an extremely wise archangel belonging to the Morningstar family regarded for his ability to manipulate and see through time and space, as well as for his amazing speed. Unlike his siblings and fellow archangels, he is a silent observer-type who does not involve himself in battle, preferring to use his supernatural speed to protect bystanders, carry prayers, and offer strategy to his siblings.
Personality
Cassiel is a rather odd archangel who is ahead of most in terms of knowledge, thus he speaks in almost incomprehensible riddles most of the time. He’s forever talking in high abstractions that are hard for his siblings to follow or understand, making him a prime target for Sandalphon's vexatious sense of humor. He enjoys reading poetry and literature about the sky, about myths, and talk about superstitious “nonsense” that his siblings find tiresome after a while, unware if what he says is supposed to be some ominous warning or if they should take him seriously. He loves to talk, endlessly, but not do much of anything.
When his hand is forced and he does participate in battle, Cassiel takes on a mage-like role, casting magic at the enemy from afar while his siblings fight them head-on. He does not tolerate stupidity and believes it to be the worst thing his Father created.
Cassiel has zero sense of humor and is somewhat literal-minded, thinking Sandalphon is being literal whenever she tells Gabriel to marry his precious trumpet.
