Blessed weapons, also referred to as Angelic weapons or Holy weapons, are notoriously powerful angelic weapons capable of permanently erasing spiritual entities from existence.
Description
Blessed weapons are any kind of weapons that are "blessed", allowing them to effectively kill angels and demons, erasing their souls. Certain angelic weapons can be used to strip demons of their power temporarily. In the past, blessed weapons were exclusively bladed weapons or arrows, but have evolved over the years to encompass virtually all forms of known weaponry, such as blessing-tipped firearms, blunt objects, and restrains such as rope and chains.
These weapons are powerful enough to kill or depower even the most powerful of demons, including the Ars Goetia and other demons of noble blood. While standard firearms are capable of temporarily injuring demons and sinners without killing them, blessed weapons can cause permanent injury or even death to any demonic creature. Though, while these weapons can kill any demon if shot or struck at a vital area, some rare demons are tough enough that their external skin is capable of repelling holy bullets or blades, such as Leviathan and Missi Zilla.
Background
Blessed weapons presumably originated from Heaven's military in the form of holy spears and arrows, but soon evolved when demons in Hell would steal angelic weapons left behind by the Exterminators and manufacture them into their own weapons. In Hell, blessed weapons are outlawed and it is illegal for a demon below an Overlord's status to use them. While they are rare, blessed weapons can be purchased from Hell's black market or Carmilla Carmine's private business. Many high-ranking sinners, such as Overlords and Kingpins, seem to naturally equipped with angelic weapons.
Variants
Blades
An angelic spear
One of the most common and oldest types of blessed weapons are angelic blades such as swords, knives, axes, and spears. Scorpius uses a magically enhanced holy fire axe which is capable of projecting fire and lave, which he claimed from the body of a fallen Exterminator Angelic blades can be used to create holy bullets by chipping away at the blade and manufacturing the remnants into piercing projectiles.
Arrows
Angelic crossbows
Angels have used holy arrows since the foundation of Heaven's military. These can come in the form of a bow and arrow or a crossbow. As shown with Adina's battle against the Army of Darkness, and Collin, Cletus, and Keenie using their crossbows against the Egg Bois, holy arrows seem to instantly melt any creature that is hit with these projectiles.
Firearms
Carmine-Crafted Blessing-Tipped Rifle
In recent times, angelic weapons have evolved into long-ranged firearms. Though these weapons do not exhibit any unique characteristics in terms of the sound the weapons produce when fired, they can be denoted from their white or light pink engravings which slightly glow. Often times, demons who acquire angelic weapons will substitute holy bullets for a standard firearm, but in recent years, Carmilla Carmine's private organization has developed firearms known as "Carmine-Crafted Blessing-Tipped" firearms, holy firearms that bless any bullet placed within it instantly once the bullet is fired.
It is strongly implied that blessed firearms were originally created in Hell and have never been used by Heaven's military, as noted by Lute's mild surprise and amusement after seeing a demon using a blessed rifle to defend himself from Exterminators.
Armor
Angels in Heaven's military have used angelic armor since its foundation. This armor is impenetrable to other angelic weapons, much less demonic or standard weapons. In Hell, demons have learned to create their own angelic armor by melting down blessed weaponry and using the melted remnants to forge the armor.
Restraints
Angelic chains or rope can be used to restrain and greatly weaken demons and lower angels, leaving them virtually powerless and with little room to defend themslves
Guitars

An extremely rare type of holy weapon are the archangelic guitars used exclusively by Archangel Azrael. Deceptive weapons, these guitars are very powerful and capable of devastating landscapes through magical vibrations and jets of energy fired from the head of the guitars. The guitars also allow Azrael to hover or fly through the air at up to relativistic speed and can be used to surround him in a protective bubble. Azrael's guitars also have retractable swords hidden in the heads which allow him to stab or impale his victims up close.
