- "Lemme stop you right there, bluie. I get the feeling I'd love it here! Free beds, food, and me and Angie get to bug the shit outta everyone? Can't complain. (she points to the hotel's rule plaque) But then I see that shit over there? HARD fucking pass. And can you IMAGINE how many rule sticklers there are in Heaven? (shudders at the thought) Besides, I love bein' a free spirit out there! Gettin' into scraps, partyin' with me mates, blowin' shit up. All the things that make me, me."
- — Cherri Bomb to Charlie when offered to stay at the Hazbin Hotel.
Charlotte Boom, known in Hell as Cherri Bomb, is a supporting protagonist in Hazbin Hotel: Journey to the Light.
Reborn in Hell following a suicide-bombing at the behest of her manipulative father, Izzi, in the 80s, Cherri Bomb was a one-eyed, radical anarchist, anti-establishment revolutionary Kingpin. She likes to fuck shit up and cause problems on purpose, always willing to cause mass chaos, challenge Overlords, really anything that lights her fuse.
As leader of the Resistance, she caused trouble that undermined the Overlords' grip on power, entangling the Pentagram City Police Department in her endeavors for good measure. Formerly, she shared a close friendship and alliance with Angel Dust, who served as both her closest companion and erstwhile partner in illicit exploits, which ranged from audacious turf conflicts to assorted acts of mischief throughout the expanse of Pentagram City.
Personality
- "Seriously, buddy? A gun? So booooring!! Okay, okay, I'll admit, blowin' some fucker's limbs off with a shotgun? It's pretty good. But, in my opinion, when you throw a grenade in some unsuspecting gang's hideout, hear their screams when they realize they're shit outta luck, and see all of their body parts shoot from the blast like a bunch of confetti? I'm afraid your little pea shooter just can't compare."
- — Cherri taunting a criminal.
Cherri Bomb is a sinner with a mischievous, spirited, and audaciously fearless nature. She is enthusiastic, abrasive and carefree, found immense joy in hosting raucous and exuberant rave parties, all while wholeheartedly embracing a life of mayhem and criminal exploits. With a penchant for jesting even amidst perilous circumstances, she showcased a facetious streak, often punctuated life-threatening moments with her irreverent humor. Cherri Bomb's fascination with explosions rivaled Angel Dust's relationship with drugs; her fixation on creating detonations was evident through her penchant for demolishing structures and objects, including cars. Her armory boasted an array of inventive explosive devices, encompassing sticky bombs, hand grenades, and rocket launchers. The spectacle of detonations enthralled her, finding delight in witnessing the disarray of limbs resulting from her explosive endeavors. Her conception of beauty aligned with the visual spectacle of nighttime carpet bombings. In the face of challenges, she opted for a confrontational approach, consistently primed for conflict, preferred the visceral release of destruction or physical altercations to diplomatic discussions. Being an adrenaline junkie, Cherri also doubled as a passionate street racer, relished the rush she obtained from hurtling down the treacherous paths of Hell.
Raised by her father, Izzi, Cherri Bomb's upbringing instilled a fervent passion for explosives, an inclination that manifested even in her youth, where her actions tragically involved the detonation of small animals.
Inherently an anarchist, Cherri harbored an intense aversion to all manifestations of authority, directing her ire towards mob bosses, the Overlords, aspiring despots, and the corrupt enforcers of Pentagram City Police Department. These entities consistently found themselves at the forefront of her and the Resistance's criminal escapades. Furthermore, she astutely highlighted the hypocrisy inherent in Hell, a realm purportedly devoid of regulations and dominion, yet rife with the imposition of laws designed to shield the ruling class.
Despite her mostly carefree attitude, Cherri was capable of showing a sadistic side to her that eerily mirrored her father's personality. Beyond her penchant for sowing anarchy, she dedicated time to inflicting torment upon her targets, particularly directing her cruelty towards affluent demons and authoritative figures, including politicians and law enforcement personnel. By her own admission, she took perverse delight in the anguished screams of victims as they confronted the imminent detonation of her explosives, their fate sealed with no avenue for escape. Cherri's sadistic tendencies also manifested in her sadistic choices presented to those she ensnared, such as a chilling instance where she ensnared a member of the Insurgency sent by Izzi, offering the grim selection between returning to Izzi equipped with a suicide vest or enduring the insertion of a potentially live grenade into their person.
Though Cherri primarily embraced a carefree and light-hearted demeanor, her reputation was punctuated by a ferocious temper that flared up swiftly when she or her comrades faced harm. Her capacity for fury became particularly pronounced when those closest to her suffered injury, inciting an immediate, vehement response as she zealously seeked retribution against those responsible. A vivid example of this emerged in her retaliation against Valentino following his assault on Angel Dust. Cherri's fiery determination led her to dismantle Valentino's enterprises, most notably obliterating Club Hell 666, a site where Angel was violated, and dismantling the moth's illicit operations. This recklessness is what manifested in her disregard for Angel's counsel, heedlessly stoking antagonism towards Valentino despite the associated dangers. This bold disregard for her own safety often propelled her into perilous situations, and she was willing to jeopardize both herself and occasionally others. As the series unfolded, Cherri strived to master emotional composure, acknowledging and addressing her anger issues. In moments of need, she was quick to rally to the aid of her allies, consistently demonstrating her unwavering dedication. She readily engaged in missions of varying magnitude and readily extended support to those grappling with emotional distress, reflecting her swift responsiveness and willingness to foster camaraderie.
In contrast to her untamed and carefree façade, Cherri's character revealed a more delicate facet; her bond with Angel Dust resonated with authenticity, which prompted her to consistently offer solace and unwavering support during his most trying ordeals. When Angel grappled with traumatic experiences like relentless verbal and sexual abuse from Valentino, resulting in mental distress, Cherri's genuine friendship shined through. She went out of her way to comfort him, offering solace and companionship during his darkest moments.
Her determination to avenge Angel's suffering was equally fervent, as evidenced by her deliberate efforts to undermine Valentino's ventures and provoke him, motivated by her deep-seated resentment for the anguish he inflicted upon Angel. This drive towards vengeance remained impervious to the personal risks she encountered along the way.
Cherri's introspective side surfaced when Angel confided in her his desire to break free from his destructive habits. This revelation prompted her to confront the role she played in facilitating his criminal behavior, realizing that her influence had been detrimental. This realization profoundly affected her, and she responded by taking a significant step forward – publicly announcing that their criminal collaboration would be curtailed, though with her characteristic sense of humor and a nod to their enduring camaraderie.
Simultaneously, Cherri remained resolute in her disinterest in pursuing redemption, a stance that distinguished her from Angel. Despite Charlie's persistent attempts to sway her, advocated for her to embrace a new path and relinquish her anarchic tendencies, Cherri maintained her unwavering contentment with the role of a free-spirited denizen within the confines of Hell.
Paradoxically, while Cherri adamantly resisted the notion of personal transformation, she intriguingly upheld a distinct set of morals and a semblance of justice. Her targeted rampages predominantly focused on figures of authority such as fellow Kingpins or the Overlords, with Valentino serving as a prominent example. Cherri's affiliation with the Resistance was characterized by a concerted effort to dismantle the nefarious enterprises orchestrated by these powerful entities. In line with her moral compass, she actively thwarted immoral operations, effectively halting the progression of unsavory businesses spanning weapons, drugs, and sex trafficking rings, among others.
Cherri's disposition extended to her role as a protective and affable figure among her subordinates within the Resistance. Balancing her friendly demeanor with a firm, effective leadership style, she warmly referred to them as her "mates," which fostered a sense of camaraderie. Regularly organizing gatherings, she cultivated an atmosphere of unity, all while demonstrating her dedication by shielding them from harm on the battlefield. Notably, during a critical juncture, she intervened to save one of her subordinates from an assault by one of Vox's henchmen, employing a rocket launcher to neutralize the threat. Additionally, she showcased her leadership prowess by aiding a wounded soldier, encouraging him to persevere and "walk it off."
Certainly, Cherri was not devoid of imperfections. Her reluctance to acknowledge her own errors, coupled with a propensity to allocate blame onto her subordinates and soldiers, served as a prominent flaw. Over time, a streak of selfishness and possessiveness emerged in her dynamic with Angel Dust. Despite previously allowing him sanctuary at the hotel, she experienced a shift in demeanor, veering away from her previous stance and even resorted to outright ridicule when he expressed intentions of self-improvement.
Appearance
Cherri is a slender, cyclops-like demon. Her white skin sports freckles/spots that are colored in a Sunkist-coral, and she has long messily-styled flamingo-pink hair with blonde accents, usually seen kept in a half-ponytail by a black ponytail holder.
Her thin black lips have sharp pale yellow teeth inside, and her singular eye has an X-shaped light yellow pupil and a Sunkist-coral sclera. Her makeup includes a large amount of mascara and eyeliner, and she has several Sunkist-coral designs of bombs, explosions and swirled-lines, tattooed on her right arm.
For attire, Cherri wears a one-shouldered black bra under a similarly-designed, pinkish-red torn crop-top with four pale yellow spots around the black 'X' graphic located on the right. She also wore set of severely-ripped black leggings worn under a torn miniskirt that sport the same color and style as her top, and her shoes are differing but are both colored in a pinkish-red; a simple pointed flat on her right foot while on her left, a heeled cowboy-like boot with a multi-pointed off-white star on it. Her accessories includes two different sets of fingerless Sunkist-coral gloves - a normal-length glove worn on her right hand, and an arm-length black-trimmed glove on her left hand.
In the ADDICT music video, Cherri's appearance is nearly the same, only her right footwear is that of a red and white sock.
Pilot
In the Pilot, her appearance have some notable difference; her hair was warmer-colored and had white accents along with the blonde accents, her lips are maroon with sharp gray teeth inside, and her tattoo is instead a gray heart design.
In addition to her clothing, the "X" shape on her top does not have the spots, her skirt sport white buttons with one loose suspender on her right, and the boot on her right foot instead had two white stripes on the top. Her fingerless gloves are that of a white-striped light gray glove on her right hand, and an arm-length black glove on her left hand.
Powers and Abilities
Cherri Bomb's tenure as the leader of the Resistance and her extensive history of sowing chaos throughout Pentagram City had endowed her with a formidable prowess, despite her absence of distinctive demonic abilities. This reputation was well-earned, which solidified her standing as the spirited dynamo she proudly portrayed herself to be. So profound was her influence that she was often hailed as a "spunky powerhouse", a testament to her power.
Natural Powers
- Demonic Transformation: Whenever she experienced fits of extreme emotions, Cherri Bomb was capable of shifting into a more demonic form, and then shifting back to her normal form at will.
- Immortality: Having already experienced death, Cherri Bomb lived eternally as an undead soul. She was incapable of dying through conventional or mortal means.
- Nigh-Invulnerability: As a sinner, Cherri Bomb was exceptionally sturdy, resilient, and possessed an exceptional pain tolerance. Thanks to her sinner physiology and having endured countless battles, scraps, and turf wars, she could effortlessly withstand being in point-blank proximity to her own explosions without being injured, could take high, unprotected falls from the top of buildings and get right back up, completely fine, and even survived being shot and might have not even be bothered by it. While she was being tortured by Valentino's men, she was tasered several times and beaten with whips and batons but was stable enough to feign falling unconscious, and just minutes later single-handedly fought off dozens of Valentino's goons with no sign of injury whatsoever.
- Regeneration: As a sinner, Cherri Bomb could heal from wounds of any severity, this included being shot, stabbed, melted, dismembered, or crushed. When she was shot in the arm by one of Pentagram City's police officers, she confidently claimed that the wound would regenerate in no time, which it did. Within an hour, she also healed from a stab wound and gash on her head after being jumped by Valentino's thugs.
Unique Powers
- Enhanced Strength: Cherri Bomb was deceptively strong for a sinner of her frame. As displayed by her skirmishes with Sir Pentious and Valentino's goons, she was capable of defeating other sinners and demons wielding heavy machinery, and was strong enough to break the bones of her assailants with ease. When she was tortured by Valentino's goons, she lifted a sinner with her legs in addition to her own bodyweight and snapped his neck, and while escaping from one of Valentino's strongholds, she physically overpowered multiple thugs at once, tore a metal door from its hinges and used it as a weapon against multiple thugs, hitting one of them over the head with enough force to reduce it to mush, and later flung a fully grown sinner overhead and through a glass wall. While rampaging through the stronghold with a stolen minigun, she casually ran and leaped around with said minigun still in hand, completely unhindered by its weight. After being handcuffed to a lead pipe by a paranoid Fergus in Purgatory, Cherri broke free in roughly ten seconds using sheer brute strength and struck Fergus with enough force to nearly render him unconscious.
- High Pain Tolerance: Hardened from her decades of fighting, Cherri Bomb possessed a very high tolerance for pain. After breaking out of her cell and escaping the Pentagram City Police Department, she did not even notice that she got shot in the arm until Angel Dust had pointed it out, and treated said injury as a minor inconvenience. She also laughed while Valentino's goons viciously beat her with chains and whips, and was up minutes later fighting Valentino's underlings with no hindrance whatsoever.
Abilities
- Athleticism: Cherri was a master of parkour and could get around easily while traversing or in combat without exhausting herself. She was capable of crossing several long rooftops in the span of a second, climbing the sides of buildings, leaping over her opponents, and bouncing/propelling herself off of surfaces, all without losing any momentum.
- Expert Combatant: Cherri Bomb was shown to excel and revel in hand-to-hand combat. Although she had no formal training in hand-to-hand combat, it could be from experience she picked up throughout her decades of fighting against the Pride Ring's laws. She was capable of defeating Sir Pentious singlehandedly with little effort and took out dozens of Valentino's henchmen while sabotaging a drug operation. When escaping from her captivity in one of Valentino's strongholds, she was able to take out multiple henchmen unarmed and did not suffer any injuries in the process. While being pursued by Manco's possessed variants in Purgatory, she was able to fight through the hoard despite their vast numbers, with assistance from Angel Dust, Husk, and later Fergus.
- Expert Marksman: Cherri Bomb was a noteworthy markswoman, as she shot her way out of one of Valentino's strongholds in which she was being kept prisoner, first using a single pistol, then dual-wielding a pair of pistols, then using a shotgun, and lastly using a minigun she stole from the armory. She also frequently used a rocket launcher as a weapon.
- Fearlessness: Cherri Bomb possessed an obliviousness to danger that made her virtually invulnerable to fear and intimidation, as she frequently got into fights with those who had more numbers and weapons than her, and deliberately provoked powerful Overlords who could kill her easily if they so wished. She was undeterred when she was tortured and (possibly) raped by Valentino's goons, and continued provoking the moth demon despite his warnings. When she was captured by Valentino, she displayed no fear whatsoever while being disparaged by him, and continued mocking him even as his men beat her with every insult. When she, Angel, Fergus, Husk, and Vaggie were interrogated by Lucifer, Cherri was not fazed by the King of Hell's intimidation tactics, and only lost her composure when Lucifer briefly tortured Angel Dust with a knife to get information out of Fergus.
- Leadership: Cherri was an altruistic, effective, and stern leader. She had led the Resistance through countless turf wars, sabotages, and many battles while suffering very little causalities.
- Master Escapologist: After being taken in by Pentagram City's police, Cherri Bomb managed to escape by using smuggled explosives to blow a hole in the wall of her cell. Later, while captured and being tortured by Valentino's henchmen, she escaped by strangling her guard with her thighs and used the guard's hair comb to unlock her shackles. In Purgatory, when a paranoid Fergus restrained her by handcuffing her to a nearby pipe, she broke free in roughly ten seconds and utilized said pipe to strike Fergus in the head in order to literally knock some sense into him.
- Master Tactician: Cherri Bomb's strategic acumen shined when she was orchestrating surprise attacks against rival factions. Her adeptness in devising intricate ambush plans showcased her ingenuity. Additionally, her swift thinking was readily apparent in the midst of intense conflicts, where she displayed a remarkable ability to formulate on-the-fly battle strategies, even amid ongoing turf wars. This combination of strategic brilliance and quick decision-making underscored her formidable capabilities as a tactician and leader.
- Natural Weaponry: Cherri Bomb possessed sharp teeth which she could use as offensive weapons. At one point, she used her teeth to bite the finger off of one of Vox's goons with little difficulty.
- Weapon Proficiency: Cherri Bomb was experienced at using many different types of weapons and could adapt to them much quicker than the average person, which ranged from firearms, grenades, bazookas, Molotov cocktails, sticky bombs, and knives.
Weapons
- Bazooka: Cherri always carried her signature pink bazooka on her person.
- Cherry bombs: Cherri's most preferred types of weapons and her namesake. They were hand-sized pink bombs with skulls on them that were lit via a fuse. Despite their small size, the bombs were surprisingly powerful and a single one was capable of laying waste to billboards and destroying one of Valentino's nightclubs in a single blast. While being lit by a fuse, some of the bombs seemed to explode on impact.
- Dynamite: TBA
- Grenades: TBA
- Hunting Knives: When needing to engaged in close combat, Cherri employed an array of hunting knives.
- Minigun: Cherri acquired a minigun which she stole from one of Valentino's strongholds. She used it to blast her way out of the stronghold and could rarely be seen using it several more times throughout the series.
- Sticky Bombs: Cherri's sneakiest weapons, often placed in advance to sabotage dealings and convoys arranged by Overlords or crime lords.
Equipment
- Smoke Grenades: Cherri carried smoke grenades of various colors which she used as a smokescreen during battles.
Relationships
Family
Unnamed mother
Cherri's allusions to her mother unveiled a complex, bittersweet connection, marked by both toxicity and affection, ultimately culminating in tragedy. Recollections reveal a tumultuous dynamic characterized by her mother's demanding nature and bouts of alcohol-induced abuse, a coping mechanism stemming from her challenging existence alongside Izzi. Cherri's recollections also evoked profound sorrow surrounding her mother's departure. She was profoundly affected by this loss, believing her mother to have genuinely cared for her despite their tumultuous circumstances. Unbeknownst to Cherri at the time, her mother's departure was not voluntary – she was tragically slain by Izzi for attempting to extricate Cherri from his grasp. Cherri's sentiments were profoundly laden with blame directed at Izzi, as she held him accountable for their misery, her mother's departure, and her mother's tragic fate. Cherri's obliviousness of her mother's true fate remained until her erasure.
Izzi
Izzi was Cherri's father and former partner-in-crime. Cherri's history was riddled with instances of emotional maltreatment inflicted upon her by Izzi. Throughout her life, he persistently instilled within her the methods of his own destructive and lethal lifestyle. Disturbingly, even during Cherri's earliest years, she was exposed to his influence, partaking in activities such as hunting and killing Australian wildlife alongside him. This practice appeared to have served as a deliberate means for Cherri to become desensitized to violence and potentially transition towards targeting humans. Despite her potential reluctance to acknowledge it, much of Cherri's acquired knowledge and skills stemmed from the teachings of her father, which laid bare the lasting impact he has had on shaping her character and actions.
Cherri and Izzi's relationship shifted when Izzi murdered Cherri's mother, but lied to Cherri, telling his daughter that her mother abandoned them as she did not want to deal with raising a troublemaker like Cherri, leaving Izzi as the only person Cherri thought she could rely on. As Izzi became involved in the bounty hunting and drug trafficking business, he would coerce Cherri into having sex with his associates, tasking her with killing them once they had fallen asleep and he could capitalize on the power vacuum left behind following their deaths. Even when Cherri was clearly very uncomfortable and defied her father, Izzi dished out more emotional abuse before coaxing her into it, content with the statutory rape of his own daughter as long as he gained something from it.
Their father-daughter relationship shattered when Izzi finally betrayed his own daughter when they were nearly busted by the Australian police, exploiting her own fear and loyalty by convincing her to suicide-bomb herself, cold-heartedly and selfishly allowing her daughter to explode as a mere distraction while he made his escape.
Now in Hell, Cherri Bomb harbored an intense and vehement animosity towards Izzi. This sentiment was so potent that she vehemently denied any connection to him as her father. Her actions underscored this deep-seated hatred; she had taken to eliminating Izzi's henchmen and displayed a readiness to end his life. When he and the Insurgency launched an assault on the Resistance's hideout, Cherri did not hesitate to engage in a violent confrontation, showcasing her determination to eradicate the source of her anguish.
Izzi's influence on Cherri triggered a stark transformation in her demeanor, leading her to exhibit behavior that starkly contrasted with her typically carefree nature. His presence catalyzed irritability and erratic actions, which caused Cherri to deviate from her usual lighthearted disposition. Moreover, Izzi's actions, particularly his abduction of her comrades in the Resistance, had the effect of intensifying Cherri's possessiveness toward Angel Dust. This heightened possessiveness reflected her deep-seated need to safeguard those close to her, accentuated by the looming threat posed by Izzi's actions.
In their final moments, Cherri ultimately chose to stay at the explosive collapse of the Insurgency, aware that her fate was sealed, and wanting to go on her own terms, eagerly restrained her father from escaping, taunting him over his obsession over her, before they both died from the explosion of the Insurgency base.
Allies
Angel Dust
- "Cherri Bomb: Glad you haven't changed! (slugs him on the arm) You know you're my favorite mate to party with!
Angel Dust: You know it, sugar tits!" - — Cherri Bomb and Angel Dust while battling Sir Pentious.
Angel Dust held a special place in Cherri Bomb's life as her closest friend and former partner in crime. Their bond was established in a pivotal moment when Angel faced a life-threatening attack by a rival Overlord gang. Cherri Bomb and her Resistance comrades intervened, eliminating the assailants and indirectly saving Angel's life. Despite initial tensions fueled by suspicions of Angel's loyalty to Valentino, Cherri Bomb recognized his spirited demeanor and found herself drawn to his personality. This initial admiration blossomed into a profound friendship, cultivated over time. Cherri Bomb became both a friend and mentor to Angel, imparting her expertise in wielding heavy weaponry.
However, their alliance was challenged when Valentino discovered Angel's connection to Cherri and her involvement in thwarting his operations. In a desperate bid to prove his allegiance, Valentino orchestrated Cherri's capture and demanded that Angel eliminate her. When faced with the ultimatum, Angel's true loyalties became evident. He not only rejected Valentino's command but also displayed unwavering loyalty to their friendship, attempting to turn the weapon against Valentino himself.
Cherri's profound support and empathy for Angel were evident in her actions, as she had been a steadfast presence during his most difficult moments. She had been shown providing comfort and solace to Angel during his darkest times, standing by his side as he found solace in expressing his emotions. Cherri's protective stance extended to her fierce indignation whenever Angel was subjected to harassment and abuse by Valentino. This fierce anger propelled her to disrupt Valentino's operations, even in the face of potential danger stemming from the powerful and influential moth pimp. During an argument with Angel Dust, Cherri mentions comforting him and staying by his side as he cried himself to sleep numerous times.
Cherri's friendship with Angel was so profound that it emboldened her to confront even Lucifer himself, the King of Hell. When Lucifer tormented Angel during an interrogation, Cherri's fierce loyalty prompted her to boldly insult Lucifer to his face, calling him a "c*nt, demonstrating her readiness to challenge even the highest authority to protect her friend.
Cherri and Angel enjoyed engaging in turf wars, with Angel often assisting Cherri was securing the Resistance's territory, and they always protected each other if one is in danger or gets injured. According to her, Angel was her favorite person to "party" with.
Angel's apprehensions regarding Cherri's potential reaction to his decision to improve himself revealed his vulnerability and uncertainty. He feared her ridicule or the potential rupture of their bond due to his transformation. However, his fears were unfounded as Cherri's response was marked by an unexpected depth of understanding and support. Cherri's empathy and encouragement were evident, reflecting her genuine concern for Angel's well-being. Despite the potential consequence of losing Angel if he were to ultimately reform and ascend to Heaven, Cherri prioritized his safety and distance from the clutches of Valentino above all else. This response showcased the profound nature of their friendship and Cherri's willingness to prioritize Angel's happiness and safety over her own personal desires.
The trajectory of Cherri and Angel's relationship took a complicated turn as the Hazbin Hotel's attempts at redemption seemed to falter, coupled with the staff's resistance to Cherri's proximity to Angel. Suspicions emerged within Cherri that the hotel's personnel might be capitalizing on Angel's celebrity status to enhance their own establishment, particularly as they featured him prominently in their promotional efforts. This perception intensified as Angel's involvement in the hotel's commercials became more pronounced. Cherri's resentment and self-interest began to emerge when she noticed Angel's apparent withdrawal from their interactions. She accused him of becoming "soft" due to his desire for rehabilitation, unveiling a bitter facet to her emotions.
The relationship between Cherri and Angel reached a boiling point when the Resistance's members suffered capture or death at the hands of the Insurgency. The resulting confrontation between Cherri and Angel was intense, marked by accusations and recriminations. Cherri expressed her sense of betrayal and frustration, berating Angel for seemingly disregarding her trust. In return, Angel lashed out at Cherri, calling her a "selfish bitch" and implicating her in his perceived misery within Hell. Amidst the emotionally charged exchange, both Cherri and Angel unleashed their pent-up sentiments. During this intense confrontation, Cherri revealed her deeper emotions. She confessed to Angel that her ultimate wish was for his happiness and safety, despite her concerns about being left behind. Her vulnerability was laid bare as she admitted to her profound fear of being alone if Angel were to successfully ascend to Heaven.
Despite all that happened between them, Angel would later break into the Insurgency's base and free Cherri when she had become imprisoned. Cherri was surprised by this and admitted to Angel that she assumed he had abandoned her. Angel feigned offense before making it clear that Cherri would always be his best friend with or without redemption, eliciting some tears from Cherri's eye, prompting Angel to playfully ask her if she needed a hug. Despite her resistance, they indeed shared a tight hug, solidifying their friendship. The two then battled it out with the Insurgency's soldiers in a manner reminiscent of their past turf wars, during which Angel wielded Cherri's explosives while Cherri wielded Angel's machine gun.
During the Insurgency base's destruction, Angel desperately attempted to persuade Cherri into escaping from the Insurgency base's destruction, but a resolute Cherri stayed and ran to confront her father. In her final moments, she looked up at the sky, spotting Angel, and telling him to "kick Heaven's ass" as her final words before she struck a pose and being consumed by the explosion along with her father.
Fat Nuggets
Cherri shared the same affection Angel had for Fat Nuggets. She was often seen carrying him in her arms, and frequently took selfies of him and posted them on her Voxtagram account, and was shown cuddling with him affectionately while visiting Angel Dust at the Hazbin Hotel.
When Fat Nuggets was murdered by Valentino to hurt Angel, Cherri was visibly devastated, and was shown shedding tears while comforting the incredibly distraught Angel.
Enemies
Valentino
- "Shut the fuck up, Angie! You... You don't deserve anything that piece of shit does to you."
- — Cherri Bomb to Angel Dust, after the latter insinuated that he deserved being abused by Valentino.
Cherri Bomb despised Valentino both for his position as an Overlord, and for him abusing Angel Dust, and she made a hobby out of blowing up billboards, nightclubs, and other operations with Valentino’s face and business involved, as well as deliberately provoking him by sabotaging his businesses and dealings with his associates, often leaving the moth greatly enraged. In addition to this, she also went out of her way to insult him on her Voxtagram account, directly calling him a "lamb fucker" on one of his posts, and telling him to "go fuck a cactus" on a post where the pimp was harassing Angel about his weight.
At one point, Valentino's goons managed to capture Cherri when she attempted to sabotage his businesses again, and attempted to have Angel murder her out of vengeance. Refusing to kill his best friend, Angel instead turned his gun on Valentino, although his attempt to shoot his pimp failed. After this, the pimp took the time to taunt Cherri while she was captured by telling her that there was no where she could run in Pentagram City where he would not find her. He then had Cherri tortured by letting his men have their way with her, and then set her free once his men were through with her, but made it clear that he only freed her so that he could continue tormenting her emotionally by abusing Angel and leaving her feeling helpless to prevent him from doing so.
Even after this incident, Cherri Bomb refused to stand down and let her friend be mistreated, and continued to provoke Valentino, even increasing her efforts to sabotage his operations with the Resistance. As a result, Valentino began sending his subordinates out to attack her and her subordinates at the Resistance, although she always managed to fight them off or escape, albeit with minor injuries, although her soldiers were often not so lucky. During the Vees' encounter with the hotel crew in Butcher Town, Velvette captured Cherri Bomb and brought her to Valentino, where Valentino planned to use her to lure Angel and the Happy Hotel crew into a trap. During her imprisonment, he had Cherri locked away in one of his strongholds, and allowed his men torture her. Despite this, Cherri Bomb ultimately managed to freed herself, killing almost all of Valentino's men who were tasked with watching her, and destroyed the stronghold she was imprisoned in. Later, she aided Angel and the hotel crew in Valentino's temporary defeat.
Sir Pentious
- "One of these days, I swear I'm gonna drop kick that old fart right in the fuckin' bollocks!"
- — Cherri Bomb after Sir Pentious attacked her, Angel Dust, and Fergus outside of a motel.
Cherri Bomb frequently impeded Sir Pentious' efforts to seize control over the Pentagram by engaging him and the Egg Boiz in turf wars to claim territory over Pentagram City, including the Resistance's own territory. Cherri Bomb didn't appear to take Sir Pentious very seriously, constantly mocked the snake during their confrontations, although she was often annoyed by his persistence as shown by her announcing her desire to "kick [him in the bollocks]" after the snake and his army attacked her, Angel Dust, and Fergus.
During the tumultuous War in Hell, Cherri found herself face to face with Pentious once more, who was now a member of the Hazbin Hotel. He approached her with a newfound sense of respect, addressing her as "Miss Bomb" and expressing his honor in fighting alongside her after years of being adversaries. However, Cherri's reaction wasn't what he had hoped for; she couldn't help but laugh at his attempts at self-improvement and even insulted his general battle outfit as "lame."
Later in the chaos of battle, Pentious found himself unceremoniously ejected from his mech suit after an attack from Azrael, landing awkwardly on top of Cherri. In a moment of nervousness, he respectfully covered his eyes and complimented her beauty, only to be met with a swift punch and a threat to put a grenade in his pants if he dared to mention the incident again. Despite his blunders, Pentious was determined to make amends for his past transgressions against her. In a misguided attempt to prove his sincerity, he nearly sacrificed himself in a comedic manner to save Cherri from an Exorcist brigade, oblivious to the fact that her friends were already handling the situation, which Cherri casually noted as he recited a heroic speech. Cherri intervened, saving Pentious and reassuring him that such drastic actions weren't necessary for redemption, which he reacted to like it was a shocking revelation.
Upon being told by Angel Dust about Sir Pentious' erasure at the hands of Izzi, Cherri's reaction was a mix of annoyance and begrudging respect. Despite finding him to be a nuisance, she acknowledges his charm, calling him "kinda cute" and noting his ability to charm women. However, she expresses some disappointment that her father was the one to deal in Pentious instead of herself.
Arackniss
- "Crawl back up your dad's fucking cock, ya little prick! You can fit up there, right?"
- — Cherri mocking Arackniss.
Cherri hated Arackniss for his homophobic treatment of Angel Dust and for him allowing Henroin to disown Angel. Whenever she passed him on the streets while driving around with her friends, they pelted him with food, tried to run him over, and sprayed him with food condiments. Much like Angel, she ridiculed him for his short stature.
While she did came along with Angel to save Arackniss from Sir Pentious, Loopty Goopty, and Lyle Lipton, she made it very clear that she only did this to take advantage of the opportunity to embarrass Sir Pentious and his new "buddies", and even suggested that she kill Arackniss with a bomb.
Others
Vaggie
Cherri and Vaggie had sporadic interactions with each other. She had a habit of poking fun at Vaggie's strict attitude, calling her a "buzzkill" and mockingly referred to her as "Vagina", much like Angel Dust does. Vaggie was shown to not approve of Cherri most of the time and believed her to be a bad influence on Angel. That being said, the two were capable of working together to complete common goals, and Vaggie did seem to respect Cherri for her attempting to defend Angel from Valentino's abuse.

Chapter 1
- "Valentino: (Cherri Bomb is dragged over to him by his men) Cherri... (chuckles) How are ya doing?
Cherri Bomb: Eh, could be better. Ha! You look like fucking shit. My bombs fucked your ass up bad, eh?
Valentino: Shut the fuck up, you bitch!
Cherri Bomb: I mean, you always look like shit, but, right now, you look like those flaming bags full of shit we always leave at your doorstep. (one of Valentino's goons strikes her in the abdomen with a baton) Ah! Uh... Fuck! ...Yeah, buddy, you're right... That was an insult to shit.
Valentino: That's for fuckin' with my businesses. I've killed bitches for doing a-
Cherri Bomb: Tenth of the shit I've done. Blah, blah, blah. Yeaaah, sorry, but Angie already told me all about your games, Val. (Valentino's goon strikes Cherri on the head) Gah!
Valentino: As much as I would love, and I mean love, to blow your brains out, or just have Velvette cut you up into tiny pieces, I-
Cherri Bomb: Need me alive to lure in Angie and his friends. (giggles) I get it, I get it. Fuck, you're boring. (Valentino's goon strikes her twice with a baton and then kicks her while she's on the ground, causing Cherri to shout in pain) Gah! (groaning) Fuck you too, buddy...
Valentino: You might not want to make fun of me at the moment. You might have been safe out there in your own turf with your little explosives and friends, but right now, you're just a loud little bitch with no place to hide. We're gonna have some fun with you." - — Cherri bantering with Valentino after he captured her.
- "I bet Angie never told ya about what went down on the south side of the pentagram two years ago! So there were these two imp chucklefucks comin' onto Angie at a bar and they were NOT taking 'no' for an answer, so he tells 'em to come to the back rooms blindfolded and- Well, long story short, it ends with them getting somethin' much more explosive shoved up their asses. (she and Angel Dust laugh loudly with each other) Aaaaaaah, classic..."

Cherri Bomb: Lemme stop you right there, princess. I get the feeling I'd love it here! Free beds, food, and me and Angie can bug the shit outta everyone? Can't complain! (she points to the hotel's rule plaque) But then I see that shit over there? HARD fucking pass. And can you imagine how many rule sticklers there are in Heaven? Besides, I love bein' a free spirit out there! Gettin' into scraps, Partyin' with me mates, blowin' shit up. All the things that make me, me. So, thanks, but no thanks.
Charlie: Oh... Okay! Well, just remember that our doors are always open! (she starts walking away)
Cherri Bomb: By the way... (Charlie stops walking and faces Cherri) If this shit somehow does work out, could you... Convince Heaven to let me speak with Angie every now and then?
Charlie: Well, if you check into the hotel and put in the effort of rehabilitating yourself, you can go to Heaven with him.
Cherri Bomb: Psh. I already told you, Heaven's... Just not for me. Too many rules and 'regulations'. (sticks her tongue out) Blech! But, Angie, he's.... He's better than us. Can't believe I've been holding him back this whole time... Just keep him happy and safe, or me and my mates will have this joint carpet bombed... Psh-HAHAHAHAHA! Jeez! Settle down, princess! (she wraps her arm around Charlie and playfully punches her arm) I'm only half-joking! (she lets go and bows mockingly) Catch ya later, 'Your Majesty'. (she throws a smoke grenade at her feet, which explodes and masks her exit as Charlie awkwardly waves)" - — Cherri Bomb and Charlie.
Chapter 3

Crymini: Cherri?
Cherri Bomb: Ayyyyyy! (she hugs Crymini, who reciprocates) Holy shit, it's so good to see ya, girl! (she wraps her arm around Crymini and points at her; to the hotel crew) This bitch makes the craziest Molotovs I've eva seen! (Cherri mimics throwing a molotov cocktail and makes an explosion noise, laughing while Crymini looks down with a small smile, blushing; to Crymini) Me and my mates have been lookin' everywhere for you! How the fuck did you up 'ere?! I thought ya up and died or some shit.
Crymini: Yeah, remind me to never let Baxter fuck around with portal tech again." - — Cherri and Crymini are reunited in Purgatory.
Chapter 5
- "G'day, Mr. Goodie-Two-Shoes! [...] Y'know, Mean Gean swore he saw you rescue a cat from a tree or some shit, so I had to fuckin' blow his dick off for talkin' bullshit. But then I fuckin' see you like this? What happened to the Angel I used to party with, huh? That guy? Oh! Fuck! He knew how to have a fuckin' good time."
- — Cherri to Angel.
- "Cherri Bomb: You know, if you give me time to set up some explosives, we'd wipe out all four of these fuckers. Should only take me two for three minutes-
Angel Dust: Eh, Cherri? I know this sounds fuckin' nuts, but I'm tryin' to give Char's redemption ideas a shot, and being complicit in the death of my brotha would proooobably look bad on me.
Cherri Bomb: Ugh! You're actually fuckin' believing that bullshit? When the fuck are you gonna get outta that fucking place and go back to wrecking shit with me?
Angel Dust: I... I just want this shit to work.
Cherri Bomb: (groans loudly in his face) Fiiine... FUCK, you're such a buzzkill nowadays..." - — Cherri and Angel on their way to rescue Arackniss.
- "If I had a nickel for every fucker I've blown up because they didn't heed my advice, I'd have... (she starts counting on her fingers, before dismissively waving her hand) a lot of fuckin' nickels!"
- — Cherri.
- "I dunno what gave you the fuckin' clue that comin' into my territory was going to work out for you, but I'll tell you what? I'm feeling generous today, so I'll give you two options; Option 1, I send you back to Izzi in a suicide vest. Option 2, I'll start juggling these grenades and you get to pick which one gets unpinned and shoved up your arse. Spoiler, only one is a dud."
- — Cherri to an Insurgency scout who invaded her territory.
- "Izzi: Rememba, ya gotta time it juuuust right so it explodes right when it hits ya target. Basic shit. Any earlier, they'll 'ave a chance to escape. Any lata, either it'll explode before it hits 'em or, bob's yer uncle, yer bloody hand is fuckin' gone. (Cherri giggles) You've always loved that joke. (chuckles) Now watch and learn... (Izzi unpins a grenade a throws it over the bushes and into a nearby swamp, where it explodes and kills numerous crocodiles and various other animals; he and Cherri laugh loudly)
Cherri: They went BOOM, daddy!
Izzi: Fuck yeah they did, sweet'eart!
Cherri: Let me try! Let me try!
Izzi: Of course! Why should I get to 'ave all the fun? Which explosive do ya want a go at?
Cherri: (jumping with excitement) The cherry bomb! Cherry bomb!
Izzi: (chuckles) I should have known... That's always been yer favorite." - — A flashback of Cherri when she was a child, killing animals with her father, Izzi.
- "Izzi:You sure know how to make an old timer feel welcome, I'll give ya that much, love. Now, how about we talk this out like those 'civilized folk' instead of playin' hide 'n seek?
Cherri: (while hiding in the shadows) Huh... You're the absolute last person I would think to want a civil conversation.
Izzi: Don't judge a book by its cover, dear. You have no idea what I've been through... you have no idea what you've done to me since we last spoke. So let's cut the crap and have a proper discussion, ey? Or will you continue to throw your little temper tantrums?
Cherri: What I've done to you...? (she lunges out of the shadows and tackles Izzi) FUCK YOU! (after Izzi throws her off they begin brawling, with Cherri eventually punching one of his teeth out)
Izzi: AH, FUCK! (he hits Cherri in the head with a lead pipe, knocking her on the ground; he wipes blood from his mouth, chucking) Hot damn! (giggles) You might hate me now, but ya gotta admit. I raised you good.
Cherri: (growls) YOU RUINED MY FUCKING LIFE!!! (she tackles Izzi into a wall)
Izzi: (wrestles his way out of Cherri's grasp, pinning her against the wall by her head) Ruined? I think you mean ENHANCED. I made ya one of the toughest c*nts in all the Pentagram. You woulda lived in the fuckin' shadows if I hadn't turned ya into a firebrand. I call that a job well fuckin' done. (he brutally throws her to the ground, but she bounces right back up and continues fighting as Izzi counters all of her attacks before brutally punching her in the abdomen, causing her to fall to her knees) Say... Where's that spider bloke you've been hangin' around?
Cherri: Angie... STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM HIM!!!
Izzi: Did he run away from you, too? (cackles as Cherri looks down) Oh, this is rich! He loves that goody-goody, spoilsport princess more than you! (he cackles as Cherri stares at him with angry tears in her eye) Awww... Did you think he'd stick around you forever? He's outgrown ya, sweetheart. Like every otha c*nt did. (Cherri screams in anger and continues trying to fight Izzi) Keep runnin' all ya want. (he catches both of her fists as they lock eyes) But we both know that behind all that fire and bang-bang, you'll always be alone. Your mother left us 'cuz of you, your 'bestie' can't stand to be around you anymore- (he gets behind Cherri, wrapping his arm around her neck and making her watch as the Insurgency murders the Resistance soldiers) Your soldiers, look at what's happened to them 'cuz of you! (Cherri tries to look away as Izzi begins whispering to her) I'm the only one who can handle you...
Cherri: (laughs) ...No one can fucking handle me, motherfucker. I'm motherfucking Cherri Bomb, and if you think I'm gonna deal with your shit anymore, you can go FUCK YOURSELF WITH A CACTUS!!! (she swings her head back, headbutting Izzi off of her and pulling out a trigger) See ya, daddy. (she uses the trigger to detonate bombs wired in the hallway they are in, causing it to explode and collapse; once the smoke clears, an injured and battered Cherri climbs out from under the rubble) Gah, fuck... Shoulda thought that through...
Izzi: Cheeeeriiii...
Cherri: Fuck... (she desperately climbs towards a window, holding her side in agony)
Izzi: (chuckling maniacally) Oh, go ahead, little sheila! RUN! Just means more fun for me. (Cherri jumps out of the window just as Izzi stumbles his way to the window, seeing that Cherri is gone) Run, little sheila, run... I'll catch ya." - — Izzi and Cherri's fight.
- "Izzi: There's a poof sucker who's been gettin' flaky on me. So... I need you to get in bed with him. When he gets his rocks off and he's all buggered out, you kill 'em in his sleep, and then I fill the powa vaccuum. Whaddya say?
Cherri: Dad, if I'm fuckin' anymore, it's gonna be with someone who can really light my fuse, not some sweaty chucklefuck. Besides, dontcha think they'd want someone a little... Older?
Izzi: Quit bein' a lil' bitch! This... This is our shot to finally make it big! Besides, you know Big Rig likes 'em young.
Cherri: Big Rig? That fat creep who keeps eye-fucking me wheneva you two hang out? Oh, HARD fucking pass. (she begins walking to the door) Sorry, daddy! Love to kill 'im, but it ain't worth it if he get's- (Izzi gets in Cherri's way, blocking her from exiting)
Izzi: STOP FUCKING FIGHTING ME, GIRL!
Cherri: Dad, leave me the fuck alone! It's not happening!
Izzi: It's my way or the FUCKIN' high way, Cherry!
Cherri: For fuck's sake, I'm 12 fucking years old!
Izzi: And you're worth twice as much. (he laughs) Oh, you should see yer face now. Anyway, stop talkin'. Yer givin' me a headache.
Cherri: Dad.
Izzi: THE FUCK DID I JUST SAY?! (he gets in Cherri's face as she shudders and looks away; after a tense pause, he sighs and caresses her face) ..Luv... Yer gonna learn.
Cherri: Just 'cuz you're my dad doesn't me you have to be a fuckin' asshole about it! (she tries to leave again)
Izzi: (he violently restrains her, pinning her against the wall) STOP BEIN' A FUCKIN' C*NT AND LISTEN TO ME!!!
Cherri: FUCK OFF, DAD! SHIT, YOU'RE FUCKING HURTING ME!!
Izzi: Get your goddamn head on straight! You have to learn! You know what will happen if you disappoint them?!
Cherri: FUCK OFF!
Izzi: You wanna end up like the other girls?! You think anyone's gonna wanna lay with a disobedient, druggie piece of shit? You think anyone's gonna wanna lay with a defiant bitch like you?!
Cherri: (becoming emotional) Dad, stop saying that!
Izzi: Do you have any idea how many time and money I'm investing and risking with you?! DO YOU WANT TO DISAPPOINT ME THE WAY YOU DID YOUR MOTHER?! (Cherri breaks down into tears) ...Hey, hey, stop that... All they see when they look at you is a piece of meat, but not me. I'm your dad... We're all we got. Just listen ta me and everything will work out... C'mere. (Cherri leans her head against Izzi as he embraces her) There ya go.. You'll be okay... Oh, you're gonna do great..." - — A flashback of Izzi coercing a pre-teen Cherri into having sex with one of his crime partners.
- "Everyone I've ever trusted is either double dead, or turned their fuckin' backs to me a long time ago! When I met you, I thought I finally found a right fuckin' c*nt who I could trust with my afterlife, but then you had to go all fuckin' soft and clean, and now look at you! Ya can't even fuckin' look at me now, can ya?! All those nights I protected you, those nights I risk my afterlife to get payback against anyone who hurt you, all those nights I stayed by your side when you cried your-fucking-self to sleep, I guess it means fuck all now, huh?! (she punches a wall before sulking to the floor) I... I really do want you to be happy, Angie... But if you leave... I'll be alone. Up until I'm just another corpse rotting in the alleyways."
- — Cherri to Angel Dust.
- "Cherri: (while swooping Octavia to safety) Let get you outta 'ere, kid...
Octavia: W-... Why would you-
Cherri: He ruined my life, kid... He doesn't get to ruin yours. (she lands outside of Izzi's mansion, setting Octavia down) Don't worry. I'll get 'im for ya. (she winks and runs back towards Izzi's mansion)" - — Cherri saving Octavia.
- "What's wrong, ol' man? You wanted me? Ya fuckin' got me."
- — Cherri refusing to let Izzi escape his own trap.

- — Cherri's last words.
