- "Death to all who don't commit."
- — A recurring phrase of Fitch's.
Fitch is a major antagonist in Hazbin Hotel: Journey to the Light.
He is the secondary antagonist of Chapter 5.5/Holy Hell.
A sophisticated demon hunter, Fitch was a draconic sinner who was indebted to the angel chieftess Adina, hunting and eliminating sinners as penance for an unknown deal they made, essentially serving as her slave. Despite being a sinner, he resided in Heaven, though barred from Heavenly society and only allowed outside Adina's chambers to do her dirty work, such as traveling to Hell to hunt sinners. He was also the archenemy of Saint Peter.

Holy Hell[]
In "See You in Heaven", Fitch interrupts Adina's bubble bath as she is roleplaying with bath toys, respectfully shielding his eyes as he enters the room. He informs Adina of Sera's arrival for the scheduled meeting she had arranged. Swiftly, Adina adorns herself in a sacred robe, readying to greet Sera.
In "Livin' on a Prayer", upon Adina's return to the Courtroom, Fitch stands stoically in the Great Hall to report the successful destruction of a target. Adina, with a composed yet slightly condescending air, suggests to Fitch that he remain confined to the secluded west wing, citing his perceived sinful nature and her desire to avoid any unwanted attention. Fitch curtly snorts in response and departs, prompting Adina to playfully call after him to ensure that some strawberry sherbet is ready at her desk by the afternoon.
In "The Fitch is Back", Fitch prowls the rooftops of Pentagram City, on a mission to track down a mysterious demon. As he traverses the rooftops of Heaven, he disparages the city's inhabitants, considering himself superior. Delving deeper into his investigation, Fitch frequents a shady bar to gather information about his target and their associates. A brief encounter with a waitress yields a crucial name. Subsequently, he confronts the sinner and coerces them for information in a secluded alley by torturing them. Armed with new leads, Fitch swiftly kills the sinner using his holy saw-staff before continuing his relentless pursuit.
In the midst of his pursuit, Angel Dust, who had recently checked into the Hazbin Hotel, is named and Fitch goes after him. Under the guise of offering payment for sexual services, Fitch lures Angel into a secluded alley. However, Angel's flirtatious demeanor immediately ruffles the feathers of the demon hunter. As negotiations unfold, Fitch drops his facade, revealing his true identity and extending an invitation for Angel to accompany him for questioning. Unfazed by Fitch's attempts at intimidation and having planned A-Z in case a deal went wrong, Angel summonsed all of his arms and countered with his own array of weapons, taking aim at Fitch. In response, Fitch disparages Angel as a mere spectacle, recounting a fate similar "show pony" sinner who was brutally erased by Adina when Fitch handed them over to her, clearly threatening Angel with the same fate if he did not comply. Angel, breaking tension as usual, asks who the fuck Adina is, which Fitch responds to with resounding silence and an unamused expression.
Fitch and Angel engage in a brief but intense skirmish, during which it becomes evident that Fitch holds a significant advantage over Angel. Employing his holy saw-staff with precision and dodging all of Angel's gunfire, Fitch easily disables Angel's firearms by cutting them at the muzzles, rendering them useless. The chase ensues through the labyrinthine alleyways and bustling streets, with Angel utilizing his arachnid-like agility to scale walls and buildings in an attempt to evade capture. However, Fitch counters by manifesting his dragon-like wings, swiftly closing the distance and apprehending Angel with blessed rope.
Fitch drags Angel to a desolate motel, securing him to a chair and subjecting him to a barrage of punches, along with using a jagged glass shard to inflict a painful gash across his cheek, knowing how much Angel values his face. Throughout the torment, Fitch mocks Angel's stoic demeanor in the face of agony, taunting him for his lack of talking. In a defiant act, Angel retaliates by spitting blood in Fitch's face, asserting his willingness to talk shit but refusing to divulge Fitch's desired information. As Fitch's frustration mounts, Angel resorts to provocative remarks aimed at further infuriating the demon hunter, asking him if he's into torture, if it's too late for their deal of sexual intercourse, and taunting him that Valentino could do worse than he's doing. With his patience wearing thin, Fitch brandishes his saw-staff, offering Angel one final opportunity to comply before he would resort to more drastic measures.
Just as Fitch is about to deliver a fatal blow to Angel, Vaggie bursts into the room, swiftly hurling a spear at Fitch's holy saw-staff, causing him to drop it. Recognizing Vaggie, Fitch realizes she was his intended target all along. Determined to protect Angel despite their differences, Vaggie challenges Fitch, and the two engage in a fierce battle, each retrieving their respective weapons - Fitch his saw-staff, and Vaggie her spear.
Their clash escalates, spilling out of the motel room when Fitch forcefully throws Vaggie out of a window. However, as he does so, Vaggie retaliates by weaponizing the bow in her hair, using it to ensnare Fitch's neck as he grabbed her and bringing him down into the concrete below with her. Vaggie continues fighting despite injuring her leg. Amidst the intense combat, Vaggie demands answers from Fitch, who divulges that Azrael and Adina had marked her for death due to her betrayal of the Exorcists (revealing the episode to be a prequel rather than a present event). Enraged by this revelation, Vaggie retaliates, slashing Fitch across the face with her spear. The two have one more struggle, where Fitch manages to get Vaggie in a hold from behind to slice her throat, but Vaggie headbutts Fitch, shattering his glasses, and plunges her spear into his knee.
As the two stare down each other, Vaggie brutally roasts Fitch verbally, giving him an impassioned speech about how she escaped from being controlled by someone, asking Fitch how he would feel in her shoes, unaware that Fitch practically is in her shoes. After a silent moment of deep thought, Fitch admits defeat, seemingly acknowledging that he cannot overcome Vaggie. With a sense of begrudging respect, he chooses to depart, recognizing Vaggie's ability to escape a treacherous situation - something he himself could never achieve. Deep down, he acknowledges that he could have ended Vaggie's afterlife, but he respects her resilience and decision to break away from a corrupt alliance, ultimately leaving her undead.
Covered in wounds and with his mission unfulfilled, Fitch solemnly returns to the courtroom of Heaven where Adina awaits, her demeanor composed and a hint of satisfaction in her expression. As Fitch respectfully bows before her, Adina leans in, her smile betraying a deeper understanding. With a chilling revelation, she discloses her awareness of Vaggie's survival, punctuating her disappointment with a wicked grin. Fitch, maintaining his composure, acknowledges his failure with quiet and stoic resolve, know what's going to happen next.
Without warning, Adina's bowtie moves on its own, wrapping its fabric around Fitch's throat, tightening its grip with a vengeful force. Gasping for air and writhing in agony as a holy energy painfully shoots through his veins, Fitch is subjected to a merciless torture, enduring the brutal consequences of his failure.
In "Exorcises in Redemption", Fitch and Adina observe Serenity and Saint Peter through a crystal ball after Adina sabotages their efforts to reassimilate the Exorcists into society. Celebrating over sherbert and lemonade, Fitch and Adina share a rare smile together, finding pleasure in Serenity and Peter's struggles. Adina coyly points out Fitch's smile to tease, to which he merely says he enjoys the misfortune of others, which Adina laughs at before quickly saying "same". Fitch remarks on Serenity's attempts to undermine Adina's work, but Adina brushes Serenity as a mere fortunate child. As Fitch watches, Adina vows to keep her control over Heaven and menacingly threatens to extinguish Serenity's light if she gets too close, the angel chieftess' aura turning a golden color as she smiles maniacally.
In "Heavenly Highjinks", Fitch sits idly by while Adina proudly exhibits her formidable powers using a giant crystal ball, unbothered by his disinterest. Adina reveals her utilization of dark angelic magic to control the minds of Heaven's lower inhabitants, ensuring compliance or indifference to her reign. This strategic move enabled her and Azrael to execute the Extermination without provoking resistance from other angels and winners. Curious, Fitch questions why Adina refrained from influencing Heaven's other royalty, particularly the Seraphim sisters. Adina explains that the Seraphim are immune to her dark sorcery.
Observing Fitch's lack of enthusiasm, Adina begins a villain duet between her and Fitch where they revel in the suffering of sinners, deriving pleasure from what they perceive as just punishments ("Just Desserts"). Adina acknowledges Fitch's despondency and expresses delight in his sadness, a sentiment Fitch is offended by. Adina clarifies that this sentiment aligns with the concept of "Just Desserts" — the notion that individuals receive appropriate consequences for their actions, especially in terms of punishment. She elaborates on this, describing the satisfaction derived from witnessing sinners burn in Hell for their deeds, likening it to a "warm, cozy feeling" as they observe from the safety and comfort of Heaven. Initially puzzled, Fitch grasps the concept as Adina elucidates it, and they eagerly exchange examples of scenarios where they find satisfaction in seeing sinners suffer, such as drug addicts overdosing and rapists getting circumcisions.
During the song, Adina asserts that figures like herself and Fitch play a crucial role in imparting lessons to sinners, positioning themselves as agents of divine retribution chosen by the Lord. Fitch concurs, suggesting their actions provide a necessary service to society by administering punishments. Concluding their song with shared, eccentric line-dancing, the villainous pair celebrate their shared worldview and their perceived contribution to making the world a "better" place through what they view as deserved retribution. Adina concludes with a bombastic, maniacal laugh as crystal balls float around them, projecting images of the duo punishing and killing sinners.
In "Dirty Little Secrets", Fitch is in the courtroom with Adina late at night, sipping coffee as Adina whimsically swirls amidst magical bubbles used to spy on Heaven's denizens, half-listening as Fitch advises her. Fitch proposes that once they take control of Heaven and begin their crusade against sin, she should let him protect her more actively since she will be a prime target for the forces of evil. Adina laughs off his suggestion, confident in their power and the army of Exorcists at their command, and dismisses Fitch's concerns. Fitch warns Adina not to become complacent, pointing out that Serenity is already suspicious of them. Adina brushes off and belittles Serenity's potential threat, but Fitch remains wary, emphasizing the risk of a civil war within Heaven if their actions are discovered. Adina reassures Fitch, reminding him that their mission to cleanse Creation is righteous, and that God supports them. To bolster his confidence, Adina enchants Fitch with golden dust, transforming it into armor and giving him a dragon-embellished trident. Fitch looks in awe at his new visage, feeling like a big boy now. She commands him to eliminate all opposing forces once they rise to power. Fitch, now emboldened, slams the staff of the trident down, aligning with Adina as the priestess uses magic to create golden visions o Heaven's denizens bowing to them, with demon heads on pikes surrounding them. Together, they vow death to all who oppose their mission.
Later, Adina and Fitch catch Serenity sneaking into the courtroom, confronting her after she has discovered their malevolent methods of staying in control; for years, Fitch has been capturing sinners and bringing them to the courtroom to be tortured by himself or Adina. Together, they force their sinner victims to pray for mercy, executing them once they have the sinners' prayer. Adina (and on occasions, Fitch) then siphons the prayer of its power, granting her abilities far beyond what she is usually capable of and allowing her to control the majority of Heaven's populace to suppress any rebellion against the Extermination.
Enraged, Serenity tries to attack Adina after confronting her, but Adina unveils her prayer-powered magic, stopping Serenity in place with magic, allowing Fitch to retrieve the sinners' prayers back from her, which she intended to show to Sera. Adina then arranges a kangaroo court, intending to have Serenity banished from Heaven to cover up her wrongdoings. This is successful and Serenity is deemed a fallen angel by a court under Adina's influence. Adina strips Serenity of her wings and casts her down a portal to Purgatory, a dark void where she can never escape. The last thing Serenity sees and hears is Fitch and Adina's sinister grins and maniacal laughter, their eyes and teeth glowing yellow from the power of sinners' prayers, before the portal closes, leaving her trapped in total darkness.
In "Everything You Know Is Wrong", Fitch speaks with Adina after she announced Serenity's banishment to Heaven. He remains confident in their decisions, and reassures Adina that they merely need to rethink their plans, especially with Sera now onto them. Adina concedes and decides to have a final hurrah to celebrate their upcoming crusade, opening the prayer room with the prayers of the sinners she and Fitch had tortured into praying for their lives. She gives Fitch several prayers to harness for himself, and he indulges, instantly becoming as manic as Adina upon absorbing them. As they harness the prayers of their victims, they both revel in the prayers' effects and power, laughing hysterically in a disturbing display.
Later, Adina and Fitch, now slightly more lucid, discuss the fallout of Serenity's removal and the unrest in Heaven. Unbeknownst to them, Tory eavesdrops from the rafters. With Fitch listening, Adina asserts that Heaven must accept her rule and the changes she envisions, expressing frustration that her reforms are criticized as unethical while Serenity's are praised. Adina, drunk with power, then outlines her plan using golden projections: first, she plans to purge the Seraphim Order and their allies, and second, to launch a universal crusade to eradicate all sin, with Heaven enforcing her rule under her leadership. In the end, Adina proclaims that she will be the ultimate symbol of divine justice at God's side and invites Fitch to join her. Fitch, in response, questions Adina's sanity. However, out of the corner of his eye and due to the brightness of Adina's projection, Fitch notices Tory eavesdropping and immediately hurls his trident at the cherub to kill him. A frightened Tory evades the trident and flies through the stained-glass windows.
Later, Fitch intercepts Saint Peter, Ebony, and Tory in the C.H.E.R.U.B Headquarters, leading a group of cherubs possessed by Adina's magic, who demand their allegiance to her. During the confrontation, Tory confronts Peter for doubting his and Ebony's warnings, and Fitch, reveling in the situation, tells Tory that this should be no surprise, alluding to Peter's past unfaithfulness, prompting Ebony to defend Peter and Tory. Adina joins in and playfully taunts Ebony and mocks Peter's loyalty, challenging him to deny his friends as he once denied another. With an utterly sinister look, she and Fitch go as far as to offer Peter salvation if he denies and damns Ebony and Tory.
Despite Adina's tempting offer, Peter remains loyal to Ebony and Tory, refusing to revert to his old ways and betray them. Adina cheerfully and nonchalantly shrugs and gives Fitch permission to kill them, which he accepts readily. However, using his wits, Peter creates a diversion, flashbanging Fitch and the cherubs, and sprints for the portal, urging Ebony and Tory to get to safety. After Peter escapes into Purgatory, his diversion allows them to escape, though Fitch furiously returns to the courtroom, commanding his pet dragons chase after them, complicating their getaway.
At night, Adina and Fitch are ready to launch their plan, determined to solidify their power and control over Heaven. Adina expresses disdain for all the angels in the streets of Heaven, singing hymns and calling for Serenity's freedom, with the added insult of an incoming investigation. Adina and Fitch, both mad with power, begin singing a villainous duet as they enter the prayer room with bombastic confidence, aiming to subjugate dissenters and enforce their universal rule with an iron fist. As they harness the power from prayers together, planning to build an army and extend their dominion across the Universe, they vow to God to fulfill what they call His vision for a just, righteous world. Adina lays out their plan quite vividly using golden projections, portraying a dystopian Universe where they are both worshiped as divine saviors, sin is completely eradicated, and disobedience is punished mercilessly. All who oppose them are thrown into conversion camps, eradicated, or subjugated, using the Exorcists as their enforcers. Both Fitch and Adina are ecstatic for this, complimenting each other with flamboyant gestures mimicking their victims' suffering.
After harnessing enough prayers, Adina proclaims that the time has come for all her pain and patience to be rewarded. She extends her wings and Fitch conjures his prayer-powered armor and trident, sprouts his dragon wings, and together they fly in tandem to the top of Adina's courthouse. Their golden eyes glow with evil intention as they look down upon Heaven, intent on dominating it and squashing any hope of resistance.
In the Holy Hell finale "For Heaven's Sake", Fitch and Adina ascend to the peak of Halo Tower, within the center of Halo City. Adina uses her magic to address all of Heaven, enthusiastically proclaiming her plan to conquer creation and eliminate all sin. He stands by her side - proudly wielding his prayer-powered trident - as she sends a shockwave throughout Heaven, signaling her command over the realm.
Adina, cackling with excitement, declares to Fitch that their crusade against the damned is finally beginning. She expresses her ambition to become the unquestioned ruler of everything, as praised as God Himself. Turning to Fitch, she cheerfully tells him that he will finally be worth a damn. Fitch, leaning on his golden trident and pacing among the chaos, admits to finding Adina's newfound insanity somewhat charming. He acknowledges her ambition but expresses doubts about the plan to purge all sin, noting that it might leave her with no one to rule. This, he suggests, could ultimately humble her. However, as he contemplates the idea, a smile of realization spreads across his face, and he decides to join her, conjuring his spear and striking down a group of miniature sinner projections. He toasts to their partnership, calling them the most holy pair in the universe. Adina, thrilled by his agreement, cackles with delight. She acknowledges their love for order but admits that sometimes a little chaos is needed to keep things interesting. Her eyes glow yellow with sinister intent as she uses prayer energy to manipulate Heaven itself, laughing insanely as she fully embraces the chaos she is creating.
Suddenly, Sera appears to challenge Adina, but is overwhelmed by Adina's new-found prayer powers. Fitch quickly restrains the princess with power-dampening holy chains, allowing Adina to regain focus on her speech and plans for Heaven, enveloping Heaven in her magic, planning to set sail across the cosmos.
Adina uses her malevolent powers to force all of Heaven's denizens into a prayer position in an attempt to extract more prayers from them, only for every single prayer taken to be duds that provide no power. A frustrated and brow-rubbing Fitch reminds Adina that prayers must come from the heart and cannot be forced out of people. After a self-deprecating joke, the priestess reassures Fitch with a sinister grin, stating that she will extract genuine prayers from Heaven's people, even if it means torturing them out of everybody as she did with the sinners.
Before Adina can torture Heaven's people, Serenity returns, having escaped from Purgatory, and confronts Fitch and Adina. The villainous duo, not wanting to be distracted from their crusade, join hands to create an army of golden, angelic soldiers to quell dissent and maintain their focus on controlling Heaven. However, their artificial army are slain by the Exorcists, allowing Serenity and Peter to confront the villainous duo.
Fitch comments to Adina on the duo's persistence, while Adina exhaustedly compares them to cockroaches. Adina tasks Fitch with destroying Halo City and endangering the people simply to distract one or both of the two, but before Fitch can leave to follow her command, Peter cuts him off. Serenity and Saint Peter proceed to battle with Adina and Fitch respectively; Fitch and Saint Peter do battle, with Peter's angelic magic and surprising combat prowess proves too much for Fitch, despite the saint only being armed with a holy shield. During Peter and Fitch's duel, Peter brings the Shield of Heaven down on Fitch's prayer-powered trident to destroy it, before nearly shield-bashing him off the tower, shattering his glasses and bloodying his face. Meanwhile, Adina ensnares Serenity in a yellow, magical aura that causes her intense pain when she resists, providing Fitch a window of recovery when Peter tries to help Serenity.
Fitch, recovering to his feet, commands Adina to let him transform into his full, unrestrained draconic form to crush the resistance. Adina happily obliges Fitch's command and grants him access to his full power. With a sinister grin, Fitch explodes into a plume of yellow and green flames, causing Peter and Serenity to recoil as he assumes his extremely powerful, intimidating draconic form. Serenity and Peter look upon his form in terror as Adina gracefully mounts herself on Dragon Fitch's back, cackling as Fitch lets out a roar that shakes the heavens.
Peter and Serenity struggle against Fitch's dragon form, with the battle of biblical proportions turning into a fight for survival. As Serenity and Peter try to protect each other from the dragon, Serenity shoves Peter out of the way of a tail whip meant for him, taking a devastating blow that leaves her unconscious. Adina gives Fitch permission to kill "Sleeping Beauty," and Fitch obliges, unleashing his holy fire breath on the grounded Serenity. In a moment that plays out in dramatic slow motion, just before the fire can consume her, Tory flies in, curls into his shell, and shields Serenity from the blast, taking all of the impact with the light from said impact shining throughout Heaven, leaving the onlookers down below confused.
In the aftermath, Tory lies on the ground, unresponsive and presumed dead. As Serenity cradles Tory and Saint Peter kneels in sadness, Adina and Fitch look down upon the heroes in satisfaction, the chieftess cackling at Tory's sacrifice, mocking Serenity and Peter for involving children in war.
Utterly infuriated at Tory's presumed death, Saint Peter raises his hand and summons the Spear of Heaven, determined to avenge Tory. While Serenity flies Tory off, Peter relentlessly attacks Fitch, eventually bringing him down by slicing and cutting holes into his wings, preventing him from flying and causing him to plummet back down to the tower, sending Adina violently tumbling to the side as well. Despite Peter sparing him, Fitch defiantly unleashes another blast of fire in Peter's direction when his back is turned, but the saint narrowly manages to block the blast with his shield, indirectly sending it back at Fitch. Fitch is consumed in his own holy flames, tumbling off the tower to his demise.
Adina witnesses the death of Fitch right before her eyes. Overwhelmed with shock and disbelief, her eyes widen and she starts to mentally unravel. She begins to deny the reality of the situation, clutching her head and yelling "no" repeatedly, her smile becoming unhinged and tears welling up but not falling. Her hair flows wildly as she tries to convince herself that it's all a terrible dream, refusing to accept what has happened. Abruptly, Adina screams in denial, causing prayer energy to explode around her. Her expression shifts from disbelief to furious rage as she glares at Saint Peter, threatening to feed his "filthy souls" to the maggots of Hell as she descends into vengeance-fueled madness.
Personality[]
- "I don't care for other people's lives. Sinners are vile scum who don't deserve to draw breath in this universe. I've seen them destroy everything in their path with no regard for life or the consequences, then they cry when they get what's coming to them. Now... Tell me what I want so I can complete my mission, whatever Adina wills, and return to solitude as quickly as possible."
- — Fitch.
Fitch was ruthless, draconian, arrogant, sophisticated, dry, and short-tempered. He exhibited a strong sense of superiority over others, even sinners, despite being one himself. He considered himself a "pure one" and spoke with an eloquent, foreboding tone. He was committed to cleansing all Creation of "sinner filth" and was quite flexible—a jack-of-all-trades when it came to his talents. Fitch exuded an air of refinement, narcissism, and sophistication; he had an "above-it-all" mindset that sharply contrasted with Adina’s more whimsically refined tone. He was every bit as genocidal and purely evil as Adina, but while Adina was silly, campy, and more whimsically wicked, Fitch was far more bitter and unrelentingly grim, making his hatred toward everything imperfect and sinful feel more personal.
He was utterly ruthless and eliminated any threats or loose ends. This even included children, as shown when he attempted to kill Tory without hesitation upon discovering the cherub eavesdropping on his and Adina’s conversation.
Beneath his dignified facade, Fitch was also tyrannical, self-righteous, and domineering, as he wanted all of Heaven’s denizens to bow to him for all his "good deeds." He fantasized with Adina about conquering all of Creation and crushing all who refused to submit beneath his heel. Overall, Fitch was driven by a desire for control and seemed to take pleasure in the suffering of others, much like Adina herself. Unlike Adina, Fitch emphasized not just erasing sinners from existence but also subjugating any angels who opposed them after they conquered Heaven. Despite seeming passionless, Fitch was ambitious, seeking to establish himself and Adina as soldiers of God's will and to rule over Creation with an iron fist.
Additionally, Fitch was very stoic; while he was capable of feeling fear, he never showed it on his face, even when facing punishment from Adina for his failures and missteps.
Much like Adina, he viewed sinners with disdain, calling them "filth," "unclean ones," and "beasts." He often spoke of sinners as though he was not one of them, implying that his time in Heaven serving Adina had gone to his head. The mere presence of demons and their sinful nature made him scowl. His irritation often peaked in the face of noncompliance or intentional provocation from others. With a notably short temper and a tendency toward anger issues, Fitch navigated a world that frequently tested his patience and resolve. He was relentless in his pursuit of his targets, willing to resort to murder and coercion to achieve his goals. Fitch was cunning and manipulative, employing deceit to achieve his objectives, as seen in his past attempt to lure Angel Dust under false pretenses of sex.
Despite believing himself above most people, Fitch was truly a very bullyable and pathetic man masquerading as a righteous slayer. Despite his competence, he was not without his shortcomings and quirks—something Adina loved reminding him of. In the midst of tasks, he often tripped and fumbled due to his overzealousness, habitually adjusted his glasses, moistened his fingers before turning pages, and was constantly tossed around by Adina’s influence.
Fitch was an odd example of an affable villain, as he did not really have any "nice" qualities aside from his quiet nature and a tendency to avoid unnecessary trouble. However, while he genuinely disliked Adina, at least at first, he eventually opened up to her more, engaging in banter, becoming less reluctant in her schemes, and delivering sarcastic remarks to cope with his circumstances. His disdain for his boss was palpable. However, during his pursuit of sinner targets, his demeanor took a darker turn, veering into a more threatening and ominous territory.
While Fitch typically maintained a calm and composed demeanor, spending any mount of time in Hell or engaging in the slaughter of sinners often eroded his composure and sanity. In these moments, his facade fractured, leading to an unsettling, insane smile upon the completion of his ruthless deeds. During his relentless pursuit of Vaggie in Hell, he confided in Angel Dust while torturing him, acknowledging that having to mingle with "sinful filth"—as well as the defiance and noncompliance of Hell’s inhabitants—drove him to resort to torture for information more frequently than in any other pursuit.
Most of Fitch’s interactions with others were full of intimidation and cruelty, as demonstrated by his treatment of both his targets and those who stood in his way. Although he initially did not particularly enjoy working for Adina and did not take her very seriously when plotting together, Fitch was not above using physical force and torture to extract information, displaying a lack of empathy or remorse for his actions.
Peacefulness appeared to be one of the few sources of joy for Fitch. Whether engrossed in reading or lost in silent contemplation, he found peace in tranquility and reading by a fireplace. Occasionally, after destroying a sinner and finding satisfaction in the act, a rare smile might have graced his lips. However, such a sight, coming from a figure like him, carried an air of intimidation and intrigue.
While an otherwise irredeemable man, there were glimpses of complexities in Fitch. His begrudging respect for Vaggie’s resilience hinted at a deeper understanding of honor and strength, even in his adversaries. He spared Vaggie out of respect for her achievement in breaking free from Azrael’s control—something he, despite his skills and strength, could never do against Adina. Additionally, his quiet acknowledgment of failure and composure in the face of Adina’s wrath suggested a certain level of stoicism and jaded acceptance of consequences.

Fitch has shamrock jade-colored hair, adorned with delicate light green highlights cascading down his hair and topping his tall, fluffy ears. His hairstyle features a bob-V undercut, framing his distinct features. His eyes exude a reptilian allure, their bright green hues encircling captivating turquoise-green pupils. His complexion is reminiscent of freshly fallen snow, pale and pristine. Minty-green claws extend from his fingertips, complementing his dragon-clawed, darkish green feet adorned with highlighted talons. He has a lengthy, dragonic tail which displays an array of verdant hues, accented by black spikes adorning its upper reaches.
His customary attire consists of a sleek black turtleneck sweater beneath a long-sleeved white shirt, secured with black straps. He can also make his hands appear more draconic, and can spawn a dragon tail.
Abilities[]
- Combat Mastery: Fitch is a very agile, strong, and skilled combatant, allowing him to fight and subdue numerous targets at once. In the past, he battled Vaggie, a former Exorcist and very competent fight, and was confident that he could have killed her if he had not decided to spare her. As shown in his fight with Vaggie, he is a versatile brawler, often utilizing his draconic tail in combat, quickly spinning around to whip people with devastating impact or trip them. However, for as skilled a warrior Fitch is, his combat abilities paled in comparison to Saint Peter, who was practically dog-walking Fitch in their one-on-one, with Fitch being pushed to transform into his dragon form to stand a chance.
- Musical Talents: As shown in "Just Desserts", Fitch is skilled in singing and line-dancing.
- Natural Weaponry: In combat, Fitch can grow scales, spikes, a tail, and claws which he can use as weapons against his opponents.
- Weapon Proficiency: As a seasoned demon hunter, Fitch demonstrates proficiency in wielding an array of holy weapons designed to combat the forces of sin and darkness. Among his arsenal are blessed firearms, blessed rope, and spears, each imbued with divine power to strike down his sinful targets. However, his most notable weapon is a formidable large saw-staff, a fearsome instrument capable of cleaving through demonic adversaries with relentless precision. Later, he used an extremely powerful, holy trident - powered by prayer - that Adina conjured.
Other Characteristics[]
- Mental Illness: Fitch has severe PTSD, which significantly impacts his mental well-being. He is a very unsound man in general, despite his sophisticated facade, cracks occasionally appear, revealing glimpses of his unsound psyche.
Weapons[]
- Holy Saw-Staff
- Holy Trident
Weaknesses[]
- Adina's power: Although possessing great power, Fitch is constrained by the terms of his agreement with Adina, a circumstance that frequently limits his abilities. For example, he cannot transform into and unleash his complete dragon form unless granted permission by Adina.
- Blessed weapons: Though he would rather not acknowledge it, Fitch is a sinner and can still be harmed by angelic weapons or divine power.
Relationships[]
Allies[]
Adina[]
Adina is Fitch's master. It is unknown how they became involved other than Fitch being indebted to the angel Chieftess. Fitch aids Adina in her crusade sinners and demons, traveling to Hell to capture or assassinate them. Due to Fitch living in Heaven's Courtroom, he and Adina spend a great deal of time together. However, overtime, Fitch and Adina's relationship gradually develops from Fitch being a mistreated servant, to him being a full-on co-conspirator and equal to her, with the priestess growing to respect him despite his nature as a sinner.
Despite essentially being Adina's slave, Fitch follows her orders with no resistance, not out of loyalty, but moreso out of apathy since he tends to accept things for what they are. He is easily annoyed by her due to her playfulness and strict attitude towards him. Adina likes to mess with Fitch and break down his sophisticated facade by talking down to him and explaining her orders as if he was a child.
Despite their differences, Adina and Fitch are united in their intent to crush all who oppose them and bend Heaven to their will. The villainous duo both believe that they are the only ones capable of maintaining order and cleanliness in Creation. They see themselves as superior beings enforcing God's will, ready to make the populace of Heaven bow before them in submission and worship them for their "good deeds". They both gleefully mock the idea of mercy or salvation, reveling in the suffering of sinners, plotting to conquer Heaven and Creation with the Exterminators as their personal army, wiping out all evil and subjugating any angel that opposes them.
Their dynamic is that of a classic, extremely fun and campy villain duo, though one with an obvious power imbalance. Adina is very strict towards Fitch, secluding him in the depths of her palace doing menial tasks and awaiting orders, both to maintain control over him and to preserve the purity of Heaven and her Courtroom. She justifies their atrocities as serving the greater good, while Fitch harbors frustration at Adina's carefree and whimsical nature, resisting participation in her antics unless commanded. During their demon hunts, Fitch and Adina adopt the personas of a quintessential villain duo. They covertly observe their enemies from behind bushes and don elaborate disguises, embodying a goofy yet effective approach to their tasks.
Although Fitch outwardly displays more annoyance than fear towards Adina, he initially harbored a deep-seated terror of her. Her propensity for swift threats when he dares to defy her has instilled a profound sense of caution in him. Fitch was acutely aware of the consequences of angering her again and took great care to avoid such missteps. Despite his exasperation, Fitch acknowledged Adina's formidable angelic powers and held her in high regard. At times, when Adina was in an upbeat mood, Fitch could get away with insulting her, with her only responding in kind, almost teasingly. Yet, there are instances where he misjudges her mood, leading to his insults resulting in severe repercussions and punishment. However, their dynamic grew healthy enough to where Fitch could insult Adina without incurring her divine wrath.
Outside of demon-slaying endeavors, Adina often treats Fitch as somewhat of a servant, assigning him tasks like menial maintenance around her courtroom, and fetching her pink lemonade or strawberry sherbet, much to his chagrin, evident by the grimace he wears while complying.
Despite their often strained relationship, there are fleeting moments where Adina and Fitch get along. One such instance occurred while they watched Serenity and Saint Peter's futile attempts to reassimilate the Exorcists through a crystal ball. In a rare moment of camaraderie, Adina and Fitch shared lemonade and sherbet, smiling in shared amusement at the spectacle of their enemies' failure. Fitch and Adina also enjoy singing villainous duets with each other, line dancing with each other while singing about their love for purging people, finding pure joy and friendship in their acts of villainy. Adina and Fitch revel in their wicked ambitions, relishing the thought of forcing others to bow before them and extinguishing any hope or resistance. They aspire to be gods, demanding worship and obedience from their subjects. Overtime, Adina and Fitch slowly begins to embrace their villainous friendship, with her treating Fitch more like an equal, and Fitch finding himself actually enjoying Adina's company.
Fitch and Adina also mutually mind each other's occasional arrogance, with Fitch warning Adina to not get too complacent, as their enemies' suspicion could end their plans for Heaven before they begin. Likewise, Adina's constant babying and talking down to Fitch overtime becomes less a condescending tactic to demean him and more of an attempt to not let his arrogance and narcissism blind him.
Others[]
Vaggie[]
In the past, Vaggie was one of Fitch's targets after she was marked by Azrael and Adina for her betrayal of the Exorcists. During their confrontation, both fought viciously to kill the other. However, despite their differences and their brutal fight, Fitch, in particular, seemed to develop a begrudging respect for Vaggie's resilience and strength, especially after her impassioned speech about escaping her past. This respect is evident when Fitch acknowledges his defeat, seemingly realizing that he cannot overpower Vaggie despite his best efforts.
Deep down, Fitch acknowledged Vaggie's ability to escape raw deals, a feat he admires but feels unable to emulate himself. This acknowledgment of Vaggie's resilience and decision to break away from a corrupt alliance suggests a nuanced understanding of her, even amidst their conflict.

Holy Hell[]
- "Hell. Where the sinful are supposed to get what's coming. All I see is a dissssgusting clusterfuck of beasts who lack the intelligence to comprehend their worthless lot in the afterlife. Lucifer and the Sins have gone too soft, the slothful ineffectuals. Leave it to the pure ones to do the punishing and take out the trash. Not that I particularly mind, of course. Though I don't enjoy a moment here, it's one of the best hunting spots in known Creation, in my opinion."

Trivia[]
- He is based on the character of the same name from the Zoophobia webcomic.
- He has several pet dragons. Tory humorously questions if this is technically slavery, since Fitch himself is a dragon sinner.
- He is an aromantic asexual because he is simply too bitter and joyless to love anything, besides himself, of course.
- Whenever Fitch becomes emotional, anxious, or enraged, his eyes take on a more reptilian appearance, he grows small, draconic wings, and some patches of his skin become scaly.
- In "See You in Heaven", Adina casually mentions Fitch to Sera, implying that angels beside Adina are aware of him, though they likely don't know his true nature beyond being Adina's steward.
- Whenever Fitch gets his glasses broken during jobs, he has to trudge his way back to the courtroom and get Adina to fix them, which she usually does with a smug grin.
- He hates sweets and prefers bitter-tasting food/drinks.
- He also hates pizza.
- He is the kind of guy who would sleep in a night gown and one of those elf hats, and when he hears a noise at night, he picks up a candle and yells "who goes there?!"
- At one point, Adina mentions that she and Fitch have a photo album.
- He eats a dragon heart every day to maintain his draconic powers.
- He claims that Adina once ate a dragon heart, raw.
- Fitch has a quirk where he tends to talk about human souls as if he isn't one of them.
- He occasionally draws out his syllables for emphasis, sounding like a snake or reptile.
- Whenever he is annoyed, he closes his eyes while adjusting his glasses.
- Fitch has severe Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Adina is aware of this and manipulates this weakness to her advantage, leveraging the weight of his sins and trauma as a potent tool of coercion, threatening to exploit them to drive him to the brink of insanity should he even think of rebelling against her authority.
- Fitch's death is very ironic, as when he begs Adina to let him become a dragon, he bellows that "all that is sinful [will be] scorched by the Flame of God". Shortly after he transforms into a dragon, he is consumed in his own holy flames and reduced to ashes.
