- "When you want somebody gone
And you don't want to wait too long
Call the Immediate Murder Professionals
Hand grenade or cyanide
We'll make it look like suicide
The Immediate Murder Professionals
We do our job so well
Because we come straight up from Hell
We'll kill your husband or your wife
We'll even let you keep the knife
We're the Immediate Murder Professionals!
(Kids die for free!)" - — The I.M.P's jingle.
The Immediate Murder Professionals, abbreviated as I.M.P, are major protagonists in Hazbin Hotel: Journey to the Light.
They serve as the central antagonists-turned-protagonists in Chapter 4.
I.M.P was a small, startup assassination business based in Imp City which consisted of Blitzø, the company's founder, his assistants Moxxie and Millie, and their receptionist Loona. I.M.P offered unique service of eliminating living targets on Earth as a form of settling the unfinished business of Hell's denizens, as well as a means to profit off of their killings.
I.M.P, as a company, was forced to cease its operations when Princess Charlie Magne uncovered their practice of killing humans, exacerbating Hell's already dire overpopulation dilemma. The enraged princess intervened, halting their business activities and swore to ensure that every member of the organization faced accountability for their actions.
History[]
Background[]
While little is currently known about the foundation of I.M.P, they have been referenced numerous times throughout the events of the series, most often in billboards and posters scattered throughout Hell advertising their services.
Events of Hazbin Hotel: Journey to the Light[]
Chapter 1[]
In "The Game of Doubt", while not directly referred to by name, Fergus discreetly mentioned I.M.P while hiding out from Valentino's underlings with Angel Dust in a run-down motel. When Angel began discussing the topic of killing Valentino and how seemingly impossible it would be to kill an Overlord, Fergus mentioned that he knew "some people" who could possibly possess the skills required to carry out the task, but added that said people would potentially be "too unstable" (even for a reckless person like him) to be trusted with such a crucial task.
Chapter 4[]
I.M.P is forcibly tasked by the King of Hell, Lucifer Magne to go on a suicide mission to kill the Happy Hotel crew to punish them for their numerous disruptions on Earth and the attention they have brought to Hell. Although Lucifer promises to forgive their "crimes" if they pull off the hit, it becomes increasingly clear that he intends for them all to be killed as vengeance for their for disruptions. He also enlists several of I.M.P's past adversaries to aid them in their mission, that being Striker, Scorpius, Robo Fizz, Verosika Mayday (as well as her crew), the Loo Loo Land mascot, and the C.H.E.R.U.B.
After several days, if not weeks, of hunting the hotel crew, I.M.P rebelled against Lucifer and joined forces with the hotel crew to stop Leviathan from flooding the seven rings. After a long and Grueling battle, Millie kills Leviathan using Scorpius' axe, although Robo Fizz and Loo Loo are both killed in the conflict, and Striker mysteriously disappears following the end of the battle. Afterward, I.M.P reluctantly decides to tag along with the hotel crew when Charlie promised them protection from Lucifer.
Chapter 5[]
Following the death of Leviathan, I.M.P's members continue to tag along with the hotel crew, and live under the hotel's roof when it is rebuilt. Millie and Moxxie are captured by Azazel's forces when trying to check on the former's family but escape with the help of Blitzø and are able to save Millie's family from Beelzebub. Blitzø returns to the hotel, where he is confronted by Charlie and Vaggie. The princess interrogates Blitzø on his deals with Stolas, wherein she discovers that he had been granting them his grimoire so they could do their dirty work. The Princess of Hell is furious at this news, determined to make both I.M.P and Stolas pay for aggravating Hell's overpopulation problem. I.M.P, ironically, end up in more trouble with Charlie than Lucifer himself.

Trivia[]
- The I.M.P initials form the word "Imp", the species of demon that occupy the organization.
- There is a running gag in Chapter 4 where Blitzø mentions I.M.P to another demon, believing they will recognize the company's name by reputation alone, only for said individual to have no idea what the organization is. The gag happens with a Lust Ring bouncer, a waitress at The Deep End, Leviathan, and Charlie.
