"Always remember what y'are; a Von Eldritch. We take what belongs to us. We take what belongs to others. We take anythin' what shall please us. We take anythin' what pleases others. We shall take everything. And ours it will be."
— Leviathan to Seviathan.
"When all creation be mine alone, its life'll know naught but envy, jealousy, spite, and pain, just as I have. Humans shall be washed away like bilge. Demons, wrought with envy, will tear themselves apart, shatterin' like fragile glass while fallin' short o' me. Angels will cry blood as Fiddler's Green burns afore their eyes. I'll be satisfied only when I no longer spend every moment o' existence covetin' what should've been mine! I can't have it, then by Azathoth and by Magnum Tenebrosum, nobody shall!!!"
— Leviathan.

Great King Leviathan Von Eldritch of Envy is a major antagonist in Hazbin Hotel: Journey to the Light.

He serves as a referenced character in Chapters 1 and 2, a minor antagonist in Chapter 3, the main antagonist of Chapter 4, and the posthumous overarching antagonist of Chapter 5.

The black sheep and "mean girl" of the Ringleaders circus troupe, he was a Lovecraftian, traitorous, godless sea serpent who reigned as the sovereign of the Envy Ring from Hell's creation until his death. A fanboy of all things Lovecraftian and eldritch, he was the patriarch of the royal Von Eldritch family, the husband of Bethesda, and the father of Seviathan and Hellsa. He also served as Seviathan’s archenemy and one of Azathoth's most ancient disciples.

Driven by a desire to be the biggest fish in every pond and have ultimate power over Hell itself, Leviathan schemed to force the Princess of Hell, Charlotte Magne, into marrying Seviathan by any means necessary, which would have allowed him to get close to the King of Hell, Lucifer Magne, to further his nefarious plan. However, once his scheme to put Charlie in an arranged marriage failed after Seviathan defied him, Leviathan assumed his true form and would try to forcibly seize control of Hell by flooding the seven rings before ruling over whatever was left in the wake of his destruction. His attempted takeover came to an end when he was defeated and slain by the combined forces of the Hazbin Hotel crew and I.M.P, although his final action left a devastating and long-lasting impact on the seven rings.

Biography

Background

Leviathan's origins are shrouded in mystery, with the King of Envy being so ancient that no one appears to truly know where he came here. Leviathan himself claims to be ancient enough that he only knew darkness until God and the Light Beyond the Stars bestowed light upon creation and the seven seas.

Before Lucifer fell from Heaven, Leviathan was once a relatively small fish on Earth who was the counterpart of Behemoth, the mighty beast of land. Despite his strength paling in comparison to that of Behemoth's, Leviathan was relatively content with his circumstances as Behemoth and the other land animals were lost in the darkness of the new world, while Leviathan thrived in the darkness of the ocean. This balance changed when God created the sun, moon, and stars, giving light to Behemoth and the other land animals. This left Leviathan irate and feeling more small and weak than ever.

Desiring superiority over all of Earth's life, Leviathan allegedly made a deal with the primordial being, Azathoth, in exchange for incredible eldritch power. After swearing eternal allegiance to the deity, Leviathan was granted his request and given the new form of a massive sea serpent with the eldritch power to back up his new form. Abusing his new-found power and everything Azathoth had taught him, Leviathan used his powers to throw Earth into a state of chaos, devouring and terrorizing both man and sea life, and devastating any human civilizations, garnering a widespread reputation as an incredibly violent and godless sea serpent that could not be tamed nor reasoned with. During this, he took advantage of his newfound power to bully Behemoth into helping him decimate the land. Leviathan schemed to obliterate the Earth entirely, with subsequent plans to consume the sun and stars in the name of Azathoth.

According to Asmodeus, Leviathan was actually the last entity to become a Ringleader, claiming that, in an attempt to kill God for creating light, he was struck down to Hell by the Almighty for the Ringleaders to put up with. Leviathan forged an alliance with the other Ringleaders as revenge against God, thus completing the Seven Deadly Sins circus troupe, along with Mammon, Beelzebub, Asmodeus, and Belphegor, who only welcomed him with extreme reluctance (and because they needed a water performer for their act) and treated Leviathan with mockery, making him the "black sheep" among them. Out of all the Sins, Leviathan was the only one who outright despised their circus act, viewing it as ridiculous and a waste of their power. At some point, the Sins had a destructive falling out, resulting in a war where they all vied for control over Hell. In the end, Leviathan claimed the ring of Envy for himself.

In addition to reigning as the King of Envy, Leviathan was tasked by Lucifer with the duty of consuming all angels who would fall from Heaven.

Under the dominion of Leviathan, Envy transformed into an immensely affluent yet elitist circle, brimming with privileged demons who held disdain for outsiders and collectively worshipped the Colossus, especially Azathoth. Leviathan governed a self-centered and classist society characterized by a cutthroat philosophy. While esteeming the more brutal and voracious inhabitants, Leviathan harbored a disdain for their appearances, leading to the segregation of the grotesque sea demons from their more aesthetically pleasing counterparts. The grotesque demons of Envy were forced to dwell in the darkest depths of Envy's ocean under Leviathan's decree.

While reigning over Envy from his underwater castle in Hell-antis, Leviathan came into contact with another demonic sea monster named Bethesda Von Eldritch and proposed that she could rule over Envy as queen in exchange for serving as a means of procreation. After she agreed, Leviathan and Bethesda, in secret, mated and had hundreds, if not thousands of offspring over the course of several years. Each time one of their children was born and came from their eggs, Leviathan would sacrifice them, killing them to fulfill Azathoth's desire of having the tears of living things who never had a chance to live. He kept their broken and mutilated bodies in the deepest recesses of his castle, keeping their fates or existence unknown to all, although he would later show his future son, Seviathan, their corpses as a way to remind the prince that he would suffer the same fate as them should he fail to please his father.

Over the years, an immense feeling of jealousy and resentment grew within Leviathan targeted at Lucifer and the power and influence his family held over Hell. He began to despise Lucifer for gifting him with a meaningless position as ruler of the Envy Ring, while Lucifer got to effectively rule all of Hell, Envy included. Following the birth of Charlotte Magne, the King of Envy realized he could gain more from his children besides the euphoric sensation of killing them. Forming a devious long-term plan, Leviathan decided to spare two of his children, that being Seviathan and Hellsa, as he saw use in using the prince overtime as a means to conquer Hell, while he could use his daughter to have both of his children vie for the attention and affection of their parents. Over the years, he groomed Seviathan so that he could have him marry Lucifer's daughter and the Princess of Hell, Charlotte Magne, in order to make Seviathan the Prince of Hell, therefore giving Leviathan power over all of Hell's seven rings. According to Leviathan's plan, Seviathan met Charlie at a young age, and the two quickly became childhood friends, and eventually, lovers while attending Hell School.

Leviathan would frequently subject Seviathan to extreme mental and physical abuse, as the prince did not crave the power his father wanted and truly wanted Charlie as his friend. Whenever Leviathan spotted "weakness" in Seviathan, he would punish him using extremely cruel and inhumane methods. At some point, in Seviathan's youth, Leviathan locked the prince inside a water-filled chamber full of starving piranhas for a full day to punish him for failing to propose to Charlie. As a result of his father's abuse and teachings, Seviathan became a very self-absorbed and toxic individual as Leviathan systematically destroyed his positive traits, which ended up backfiring for the King of Envy in the long run.

Leviathan's plot to have Charlie fall for Seviathan and marry him went awry when the princess broke up with Seviathan for his shallowness and toxic traits. Following this, Seviathan ran to his father, informing him of Charlie's decision. Enraged, the King of Envy began to harass Charlie relentlessly in an attempt to have the princess get back together with Seviathan, although Charlie frequently refused to comply with his demands. This incident left quite a strain on the Von Eldritch family's relationship with the Magne family.

Events of Hazbin Hotel: Journey to the Light

Chapter 1

In "That's Entertainment", his visage is glimpsed in a family portrait of himself, his family, and the Magne family that is hanging in the Happy Hotel.

Chapter 3

In the post-credits scene of the Chapter 3 finale "Despite Everything, It's Still You", Leviathan attends a meeting at Lucifer's castle along with the other Ringleaders, Asmodeus, Beelzebub, Mammon, and Belphegor. Lucifer arrived at the meeting and eagerly greeted his cohorts, and Leviathan greeted his long-time friend, expressing surprise at how Belphegor had arrived at the meeting before Lucifer himself did. Once the meeting commenced, Lucifer informed the King of Envy and the other monarchs that Charlie's Angels were now in Hell and being sheltered by Charlie until the princess discover find a way to return the angels to Heaven. Hearing this, Leviathan announced to Lucifer his frustration over Charlie's "childish games", and mentions Charlie breaking up with Seviathan, stating that he and the prince were both growing impatient at Charlie's refusal of his hand. Lucifer assured the King of Envy that he would arrange for Charlie to have Seviathan's hand. After Mammon brought attention back to the angels, Leviathan noted how angels being present in Hell was a clear violation of laws between Heaven and Hell, and when Lucifer asked his sinful partners if they knew what happened to rule breakers, Leviathan, Mammon, Beelzebub, and Asmodeus responded to the King of Hell by smiling malevolently.

Chapter 4

In "Dinner and a Show", Leviathan sends a formal invitation to Charlie, inviting the princess and her girlfriend, Vaggie, to his kingdom of Hell-antis for dinner. He even offers to give Vaggie access to Envy should she accept the invitation (since sinners cannot access other rings of Hell without outside help). Vaggie heavily advises against attending the dinner, claiming that no good could come from Leviathan or his family, but Charlie insists that they should go as it could be their only chance to repair their relationship with the Von Eldritch family, particularly Seviathan, her childhood friend, and Charlie did not want to be on bad terms with them forever.

Charlie and Vaggie travel to the Envy Ring and are escorted by Leviathan's staff to the Von Eldritch family castle in Hell-antis, where they are greeted by Leviathan and his family upon entry. While the King of Envy cheerfully greets Charlie, Seviathan, and Vaggie almost immediately get into an argument, which leads to Hellsa and Charlie getting into an argument as well, prompting Leviathan to reprimand his children. After Charlie and Vaggie were escorted to their rooms to prepare for the dinner, the latter expressed her suspicions about Leviathan's true intentions as well as uneasiness about simply being in the Von Eldritch castle.

While wandering through the castle, Charlie stumbled into Leviathan, who enthusiastically showed the princess his shrine to the dark god, Azathoth. Charlie is understandably extremely uncomfortable with his fanatic devotion and ramblings, similar to backwoods hillbillies from the stories of Lovecraft. She tries to walk away as Leviathan shows her his dark momentos and idols, but stops when Leviathan looks back at her, having to endure his morbid fanaticism.

Afterward, Leviathan closes the shrine and changes the subject, inquiring about Charlie's opinion on the recent gossip that angels had invaded Hell (despite fully knowing it was Charlie that welcomed them), leading to a debate between the two on the relationship between angels and demons. When Charlie and Hellsa get into another argument, Leviathan quickly puts an end to it and announces that it was dinner time.

Following an awkward dinner introduction, Leviathan and Seviathan insidiously attempted to convince Charlie to unite with the prince by reminding the princess of her time with Seviathan as well as how the Prince of Envy could afford to buy Charlie extravagant gifts and take her to luxurious places, something which Vaggie is unable to do. This causes Vaggie to become insecure, but Charlie, seeing through Leviathan's intentions, comes to Vaggie's aid by proclaiming that Vaggie had never mistreated her the way Seviathan did, inciting yet another squabble between Charlie, Vaggie, and Seviathan. Leviathan angrily ordered the three demons to silence themselves, before regaining his composure. Seeing that his tactic was not going to work, Leviathan excused Charlie and Vaggie from Hell-antis, to which they promptly left.

Later that evening, Leviathan shared a conversation with one of his servants, remarking on how disastrous the dinner had gone. Leviathan remained bitter in his belief that both Charlie and her father, Lucifer, have denied him his "rightful" place as Hell's ruler, and expresses frustration over Charlie's love for Vaggie, who the King of Envy disparages as a "low-class sinner". The King of Envy claims that if persuading Charlie to marry Seviathan would not work, he would have to take extreme measures to ensure the princess' compliance. When his servant called Leviathan out on his treasonous behavior and attempted to suggest a less extreme method, the King of Envy responded by constricting the attendant with a demonic tentacle and claimed that the only treasonous act he has committed was standing by after Charlie fell out of love for Seviathan. Leviathan then hurled the servant's body at a window hard enough for it to splatter on the glass upon impact, before ordering Bethesda to summon the Von Eldritch family's pets to devour what remained of the servant's body. Leviathan, deciding to put his master plan into place, ordered another servant to bring Seviathan to him so that he could educate the prince of the "old ways".

In "Old Flames", Leviathan sends Seviathan to the Pride Ring to take Charlie on a night on the town, in hopes that the prince will impress Charlie to the point where she would fall back in love with him. In an unexpected twist, Seviathan and Charlie have an eventful night out, reminiscing on how close they were during their childhoods, and manage to slightly rebuild their friendship. When Seviathan mentions to Charlie how his father wants him to marry her, the princess encourages him to talk to his father about what he really wants.

Seviathan, although initially nervous, confronts his father alone in the Von Eldritch throne room. The King of Envy inquired about how the evening had gone and becomes elated when Seviathan mentions that it went well and he is, for the most part, back in Charlie's good graces. Seviathan begins to explain that although their night out went well, it was not for the reasons Leviathan wanted, and informs his father that he wishes the rebuild their family's relationship with the Magne family. When Leviathan realizes that Seviathan does not truly want Charlie's hand or the power Leviathan himself craves, he turns on the prince, attacking Seviathan brutally with demonic tentacles, all while contemptuously berating Seviathan for being "ungrateful" by not following through with his father's orders. Leviathan tells Seviathan that he never had a choice in the matter and reminds him of the power dichotomy between the two, all while using the tentacles to strangle and constrict Seviathan. Just before Seviathan is strangled to death, Leviathan releases him and drops him on the floor. As the prince lies injured and gasping for air, Leviathan remarked on his disappointment by lamenting how a "god" like himself could raise someone like Seviathan. Leviathan then left the room without a word, leaving the prince to writhe and weep in pain on the floor.

The opening flashback of "Collision Course" depicts Charlie and Seviathan during their childhoods. While playing around the Envy Ring, the two children stumbled upon an injured dog-fish hybrid creature whose leg had been bitten off by an unseen predator. The children took care of the injured animal, with Charlie tending to its wounds. The princess encouraged Seviathan to keep it at his castle and nurse it back to health. Seviathan was initially nervous when offered to take care of the dog, but eventually agreed. Later that day, Seviathan snuck into his room with the pup, and over the course of a week, took great care to keep the dog a secret from anyone in the castle. As the pup recovered, its needs and appetite increased, to the point where Seviathan gave up half of his meals to feed it. Despite initially seeing the pup as an annoyance, Seviathan grew slightly close to it after it had cuddled with him and kept him company during the nights.

Having grown suspicious of her brother's behavior, Hellsa discovered the pup's existence while snooping around his room, and promptly informed their father of its prescience. When Seviathan returned home from school, Leviathan was waiting for him in his room, holding the pup in hand. As Seviathan stood shaken and confused, his father inquired what he was doing with the pup. Seviathan, in an attempt to cover himself, lied to his father by saying that the dog wandered into his room. Suspecting the prince was not being honest, Leviathan tested Seviathan by pressing his claws into the dog's skin, causing it great pain, which got a facial reaction out of Seviathan. Now knowing the truth, Leviathan indignantly inquired why Seviathan would "burden" himself by caring for a "weak" creature. When the prince informed his father that the pup was injured and Charlie asked him to care for it, Leviathan scolded the prince by telling him that he should have left the dog to die, before handing his unsettled son the pup and ordering him to kill it. Claiming it was a "lesson", Leviathan told the prince that he must know when to remove weak things from their world, before menacingly asking Seviathan if he was weak. Seviathan, knowing he would be killed if he did not execute the animal, broke down in tears after looking at the pup he had taken care of one last time. The prince looked away as he reluctantly strangled the pup to death, all while his father looked on with sadistic satisfaction.

In "Shield of Hate", Leviathan appears in a flashback depicting a time when he taught a young Seviathan how to control sea life. While controlling various sea creatures and aquatic monsters, the King of Envy explained to the prince that they could control billions of Envy's oceanic creatures with a single thought, comparing their subjects to sheep who needed to be led. Leviathan then commanded Seviathan to use his inherited ability. Despite some difficulty, Seviathan effectively uses his telepathy to command a school of fish into a formation. Leviathan, in a rare moment, was impressed by Seviathan's capability and congratulated the prince on his success. Seviathan was driven to tears by his father's praise, although this went unnoticed by Leviathan himself.

Later, Seviathan suffers a nightmare about his father viciously reprimanding and seemingly killing him using spiked tentacles.

In "The Prince and the Princess", Leviathan takes notice of Seviathan's lack of presence in the Von Eldritch castle after he had paid a visit to the Hazbin Hotel several days earlier to meet up with Charlie. Hellsa angrily assumes that Seviathan abandoned their family and is joining Charlie's cause, but Leviathan is under the assumption that Seviathan is getting close to Charlie to win back her affection. Pleased with the plan's progress as everything was seemingly going according to his scheme, Leviathan sends several of his servants, along with Hellsa and her boyfriend, Fin, to keep watch on the prince and his activity with Charlie. The King of Envy then ominously told another set of his servants to prepare the throne room for a "green wedding", grinning malevolently.

In "The Deep End", Leviathan paid a visit to Seviathan's nightclub, The Deep End. Coincidentally, he arrived at the same time I.M.P was partying at the club while waiting to ambush the hotel crew, and so the King of Envy ran into the imp Blitzø, who was stalking his associates Moxxie and Millie, as he went to the club's balcony. Leviathan greets Blitzø, faux-complimenting him on his affair with Stolas, noting that said affair caused a storm among the higher-class demons of Hell and had made for some entertaining gossip. The conversation takes a turn when Leviathan begins cruelly and verbally tearing Blitzø apart for his self-destructive life choices, such as mistreating Verosika, and mocking his past dream of wanting to start an imp-ran business. Noticing that Blitzø was stalking Moxxie and Millie, the King of Envy correctly deduced that Blitzø was envious of their passionate relationship, but at the same time was afraid of love, thus pushing away anyone that cared about him. Leviathan cruelly told Blitzø that everyone at I.M.P would eventually leave him just like everyone else in his life as they believed that he was incompetent, and told Blitzø that he would always be alone and would die alone. Leviathan was then informed by one of his servants that he was needed at Hell-antis as Seviathan had arrived with Charlie, so the King of Envy left to confront Charlie and Seviathan, but not before mockingly bidding Blitzø farewell as the imp sadly continued staring at Moxxie and Millie.

In the penultimate episode "The Green Wedding", half of the Happy Hotel crew, consisting of Vaggie, Fergus, Angel Dust, Husk, and Cherri Bomb head to Hell-antis to "rescue" Charlie. They commandeered a pirate ship to do so, sailing off to Hell-antis. To prevent them from doing so, Leviathan sends a group of mythical sirens to kill them all. The sirens enter and seduce most of the crew with their hypnotic singing voices, with Angel Dust being the only one unaffected. When he catches a siren trying to eat Fergus, he shoots at it with his machine gun, snapping the crew out of their trance and causing the sirens to attack. Fergus can pilot the crew's ship to safety. Afterward, the crew sneaks into the Von Eldritch family castle, which is eerily empty. After they realize that Charlie is not there, Cherri and Angel begin destroying Leviathan's property out of spite for him putting Charlie in an arranged marriage, much to Vaggie's chagrin as she did not want them alerting anyone. After searching around the castle, the crew stumbles upon Leviathan's prized water collection, which Angel and Cherri proceed to destroy by throwing the glass water containers on the ground. However, when Angel tries to destroy a specific water container, he finds that it is actually a hidden lever that reveals a secret room.

The crew travels into the hidden room and down a long flight of stairs that leads them to a catacomb. After scanning the catacomb and believing that Leviathan was merely hiding nothing, Angel Dust makes a horrifying discovery; a mountain of bones belonging to infant sea monsters, all of which appeared to be crushed to death or torn apart. The discovery leaves the crew mortified. Leviathan himself then makes a sudden appearance and reveals to the crew the dark Von Eldritch family secret of him killing his own infant children as a sacrifice to the forgotten Colossus, Azathoth, only sparing two of his last children born as he intended to raise them into tools to help him take over Hell itself. Knowing that he could not let the crew go as they knew his darkest secret, Leviathan restrained them all using demonic tentacles and threw them all into a chamber in his castle. Vaggie angrily told the King of Envy that Charlie would never marry Seviathan, but the King of Envy retorted that she will have no choice now that he has her friends as leverage. However, after Leviathan leaves the chamber, water begins to pour inside, threatening to drown the crew. As the water reaches their knees, Angel Dust begins to have a panic attack as Cherri and Husk attempt to calm him down.

At that moment, Charlie and Seviathan arrive at the castle and prepare to confront Leviathan. As they approach his private chambers, Charlie notices that Seviathan is terrified at the thought of confessing to his father that he did not want to marry Charlie, so the princess goes ahead to confront Leviathan for him. Charlie enters Leviathan's chamber, where he is waiting for her, and politely told him that, although Seviathan would always be her friend, her love and heart belonged to Vaggie. Unwilling to let his chance to rule the seven rings slip through his fingers, Leviathan revealed to Charlie that he had her friends and would execute them if she refused to marry Seviathan by the end of the day. Enraged, the Princess of Hell transforms into her Full Demon Form and threatens to kill him, so he retorts by saying that if she kills him, the death of her friends will only be ensured. An emotional Charlie reluctantly released, and he told her to prepare for the wedding as he exited the room.

Meanwhile, Vaggie and the others are nearly drowning as the water begins filling the chamber. However, just before they could drown, the entrance to the chamber is shattered by an unseen force, releasing all the water from the chamber and freeing the crew. Everyone looks up to see Alastor, Niffty, and the Radio Demon's doll minions, who arrived to help them free Charlie. However, at this moment, I.M.P, still reeling from the death of Moxxie, had broken into the Von Eldritch castle as well to kill the hotel crew and avenge Moxxie's death. I.M.P and the hotel crew get into a large skirmish as the hotel crew made their way to the throne room.

In the throne room, the Green Wedding is underway, and Leviathan makes a speech about ascending to the throne as Hell's true king, before asking Charlie if she accepted Seviathan as her husband. Knowing that both her friends and Seviathan's lives would be in jeopardy if she refused, Charlie choked out an "I do" as she grabbed Seviathan's hands to comfort him. At that moment, the hotel crew (except for Alastor) barge into the throne room in an attempt to crash the wedding, but Leviathan summons tentacles to restrain and silence them all. The King of Envy then asked his nervous son if he accepted the princess as his wife. At that moment, Seviathan begins remembering the times he spent with Charlie. Ultimately, his conscience gets the better of him, and unwilling to force Charlie to marry someone she does not love romantically, he refuses to marry Charlie, to the amazement of everyone in the room, especially Vaggie. He admits that he does not want to marry Charlie and that she should marry someone that she loves, which brings Charlie to tears as she hugged him tightly. However, an infuriated Leviathan summons a tentacle to strangle Seviathan, cursing him for costing him Lucifer's throne one too many times. However, Charlie defends Seviathan by hurling Leviathan into a wall using telekinesis, causing him to release the prince. Almost immediately afterward, I.M.P barges into the throne room with the intention of killing the hotel crew. Leviathan rises back us, preparing to unleash his powers on everyone in the room, but at that moment, Baxter arrives in his spaceship with Crymini and Charlie's Angels, driving the ship into the castle where it crushes Leviathan and leads to the throne room, or what remained of it, began to flood.

Most of the hotel crew manage to swim to a raft of rocks on the surface until Vaggie realizes that Charlie is not with them. Seviathan shifts into his aquatic form and rescues Charlie from drowning, bringing her back to the surface where Vaggie tends to her. I.M.P also manages to swim to the surface as well, where Blitzø aims his sniper at the hotel crew. Before he could fire, the ocean and the weather around the Envy Ring begins to significantly intensify and water levels across the seven rings begin reaching catastrophic levels. Fergus then notices a massive tail emerging from the ocean in the distance, which causes Seviathan to panic. Just before the prince could explain the situation, a gargantuan, clawed hand emerges from the depths of the ocean, followed by a mass of tentacles attached to the back of a titanic, rising sea monster. As his plan to force Charlie to marry Seviathan had fallen out, Leviathan has now resorted to taking over Hell using "the old ways", assuming his Full Demon Form. I.M.P and the hotel crew look up in awe and horror as the Leviathan rises from the ocean and stares down at them in his monstrous true form.

The Chapter 4 finale "It's Never Too Late" opens with a flashback depicting Leviathan educating a young Seviathan as they walk through their castle. The King of Envy told the prince that he hoped he would never disappoint him. When Seviathan told his father that he would never fail him, Leviathan took the prince to the catacombs of Hell-antis containing the bodies of Seviathan's murdered siblings to show the prince the price of failure in the Von Eldritch family. As Seviathan stood in disbelief, Leviathan hauntingly reiterated the prince's words that he would never fail his father.

In the present, Leviathan towers over Seviathan, the hotel crew, and I.M.P, blaming all of them for the widespread destruction and death Hell will endure as a result of them costing his chances of making Charlie marry Seviathan. Leviathan uses his powers a conjure an earthquake that tears apart the small island they were on and summons a tidal wave that swallows them all up. With his enemies seemingly killed, Leviathan swam away and focuses his attention on his takeover, using his immense powers to cause earthquakes, hurricanes, and massive floods that encompass all of Hell. Leviathan's Hell-wide storm begins devastating small buildings and overwhelming everyone and everything caught in it.

Meanwhile, the hotel crew and I.M.P are desperately attempting to escape drowning, with Fergus at one point saving Blitzø when he couldn't resurface. Fortunately, Seviathan uses his hydrokinesis to settle the tidal wave and save everyone from drowning. The team makes it to another small island, struggling to recompose themselves due to the intense winds and intense sideways rain. Charlie and Seviathan urgently told the hotel crew that they needed to stop Leviathan before he destroyed Hell itself. However, just before the hotel crew could leave to stop the King of Envy, Blitzø continued holding them at gunpoint, flippantly telling them that he and his team needed to kill them to ensure their safety. When Charlie is confused at I.M.P's presence, Blitzø introduces his team to them, calling themselves famous, but humorously, Charlie has no idea who they are. Blitzø told the princess that it did not matter if she knew who they were because she would remember them forever after they killed her friends. Fergus and Angel Dust informed Charlie that Blitzø and his team had been trying to kill them for weeks, sparking a comedic argument between Fergus, Angel, and Blitzø. Charlie puts an end to the argument and sternly told Blitzø that she was going to save her kingdom and that if there was any goodness in him, he would let her do so. The princess then began walking away to stop Leviathan, soon followed by the rest of the hotel crew.

At that moment, Lucifer uses a magical screen to contact Blitzø, inquiring about his current position. Blitzø informed Lucifer that the hotel crew was in his sightlines, to which the King of Hell nonchalantly told the imp to complete his mission and kill everyone in the hotel crew, sans Charlie. With Charlie's words still fresh in his mind, Blitzø slowly aims his rifle at the departing hotel crew, but after a period of intense indecision, he finds himself unable to pull the trigger and lowers his rifle, joining the hotel crew as they march to stop Leviathan. Inspired by Blitzø, the entirety of I.M.P and their allies stage a full mutiny against Lucifer and join the hotel crew in their mission to stop Leviathan. As a result of Blitzø's betrayal, the soul contract that Lucifer had forced him to sign activates and nearly erases the imp from existence. However, in another shocking twist, Moxxie, who is revealed to have miraculously survived his previous injury and infiltrated Lucifer's castle, destroys the contract using a holy rifle, saving Blitzø in the process, before quickly exiting the castle before Lucifer or his minions could locate the source of the bullet, leaving the King of Hell with a destroyed contract and no immediate way to punish I.M.P.

Back in the Envy Ring, Fergus sparks an argument with the members of I.M.P, criticizing them for wanting to help the crew despite spending weeks trying to kill them. Millie viciously chews Fergus out for "killing" Moxxie, to which he apologizes to her, although she is still deeply bitter towards him. Baxter exits his spaceship and, after doing some calculations, deduces that the hotel crew and I.M.P will all be killed as they are terrible at communication and would be unable to coordinate together. Vaggie ended the argument by ordering both teams to shut up and focus on Leviathan, prompting Charlie to take charge and eagerly say that they will learn to work together and come out of the battle as friends, disgusting Fergus and several members of I.M.P, who are still at odds with each other. Charlie told the United team that, although they began as enemies, all they needed to do was trust each other, using her relationship with Seviathan as an example. After Charlie made Blitzø and Fergus begrudgingly promise to work together, I.M.P, and the hotel crew, now united as a team, ran off to battle Leviathan and save Hell from destruction.

As Leviathan is reveling in the destruction being caused across Hell, I.M.P and the hotel crew arrive and the final battle begins, with the team leading attacks on the serpent from all sides; Fergus blasts at the beast using his robotic arm cannon, Loona, Striker, Blitzø, Angel Dust and Cherri Bomb weaponizing their respective firearms, the C.H.E.R.U.B use their crossbows to attack Leviathan from above, and Baxter uses his ship's artillery to launch missile strikes on the serpent. As they arrived at the battle, Charlie noticed Seviathan was uneasy and tenderly comforted him, telling him to contain the rising water while they battle Leviathan, before rushing off to aide her friends, leaving Seviathan feeling guilty about being unable to face his father.

Due to Leviathan's immense size and nigh-indestructible scales, none of I.M.P and the hotel crew's firearms do anything to even faze the sea serpent. The sea serpent laughs at the united team's efforts, referring to their weapons as "toys", and charges up and projects lightning from his maw that nearly incinerates Loona and Millie, who Blitzø shoved out of the way of the attack. Blitzø takes charge and orders Scorpius to lead an offensive attack on Leviathan using his holy fire ax, prompting the Lord of Wrath to leap on top of the sea serpent and wildly attacked him with his ax. Leviathan spots Millie and attempted to devour her, Blitzø and Striker used their holy rifles to fire at the sea serpent, distracting him. To their horror, not even holy bullets are strong enough to pierce the serpent's massive scales. Leviathan notices Cletus, Collin, and Keenie, and begins to sadistically chase the three cherubs, taunting them on how much he will enjoy devouring them. While chasing them, Leviathan dove underwater, his tail hitting a tall rock structure Millie was attempting to scale. She nearly falls into the water but is caught by Niffty, who pulls her back up. This endears Niffty to Millie, and the two team up and become friends. Niffty asks Millie if she has ever killed anything as big as Leviathan, to which the imp boasted that she has experience fighting "big fish" and has killed them before.

Meanwhile, Alastor finally makes his appearance in the battle, jokingly asking if he had missed anything as Leviathan rises back from the ocean. Blitzø told the Radio Demon that he hoped he would use his "radio Overlord bullshit" to help them, to which Alastor responded that summoning an army of doll and shadow minions to aid them in fighting Leviathan. At that time, Leviathan manages to catch Collin by using lightning to knock him out of the air and attempts to devour him in front of Cletus and Keenie, but he is attacked by Alastor's tentacles and minions, causing him to release the cherub, who is returned to safety by his fellow cherubs. Furious, Leviathan attempted to vaporize Alastor with a lightning bolt, but the Radio Demon dematerialized his body before the lightning could strike him.

Meanwhile, Blitzø continues futilely firing at Leviathan using a holy rifle, leading to the sea serpent chasing him, sadistically taunting Blitzø as he attempted to hide from him. During the intense chase, Blitzø manages to hide under an elevated rock, coming out seconds later when he believed he was in the clear, only for all of his limbs to be grabbed by several disembodied tentacles summoned by Leviathan and suspended in the air. The serpent then attempted to sadistically tear Blitzø limb from limb, but Scorpius and Loona teamed up to rescue him, with Loona grabbing her father as Scorpius cut the tentacles with his holy ax before focusing his attack back on Leviathan. As the battle continued, I.M.P and the hotel crew engage in witty banter, with Loona continuing to pester Alastor over his hatred of dogs, Charlie offering Blitzø a position at the hotel only for him to laugh at her offer, Verosika and Angel getting into an argument since they are rivals, Striker and Fergus teaming up despite mocking each other's skills. and Millie and Niffty are the only ones getting along with each other.

Despite the allied teams' efforts, Leviathan remains completely unharmed. Fortunately, the serpent becomes more focused on them than maintaining the Hell-wide storm, and as such the storm begins to weaken across Hell. Leviathan produces a powerful stream of lightning from his mouth that incinerates Alastor's minions and injures Husk, knocking him out of the air. Angel Dust, concerned for Husk, tries to move him to safety, but Leviathan traps and suspends the spider in a water bubble in an attempt to sadistically drown him. However, Angel is saved when Cherri Bomb leaps into the air and tackles him out of the bubble. Following this, Scorpius manages to use his holy ax to cut one of Leviathan's tentacles off of his back, causing the serpent to roar in extreme pain. Before the Lord of Wrath could severe another tentacle, Leviathan grabbed the hellcat using a disembodied tentacle and hurled him hundreds of miles in the distance. Millie witnesses this and becomes incredibly distraught, believing Scorpius had been killed. Afterward, Scorpius' ax, which the hellcat had dropped as he was being thrown, falls right in front of her. Millie solemnly takes the ax and runs off with Niffty to avenge the hellcat's assumed demise.

As Baxter continues blasting Leviathan using the turrets of his spaceship, Leviathan summons giant tentacles which catch the spaceship mid-air and drags it down into the ocean, slowly crushing it as Baxter, Crymini, and Charlie's Angels face certain doom. Noticing the children inside, Vaggie's motherly instincts kick in and she promptly dives into the ocean to save them, using her angelic spear to cut the giant tentacles and free Baxter's ship. Robo Fizz then joins the battle, with Loo Loo cheering him on, and begins to wrap his arms and legs around Leviathan's tentacles with his extendable limbs to tie them up. However, after he succeeds in doing so, the serpent easily tears Robo Fizz apart by breaking free from his grip, sending the robot's head and torso smashing into a boulder. Robo Fizz's head floats by Blitzø and he bids the imp farewell in a mocking tone and shuts down permanently. Blitzø notices this and begins crying at Robo Fizz's destruction. Fergus attempts to comfort him, only for the imp to begin laughing loudly, revealing his tears were actually tears of joy as Robo-Fizz was finally destroyed.

Leviathan then used his lightning to brutally melt Loo Loo into nothingness as he was despairing over Robo Fizz's destruction. While Leviathan was distracted, Alastor and Charlie combined their powers and attacked Leviathan using a conjoined energy beam. In retaliation, the serpent summons a powerful lightning storm around the area that blasts lightning across the entire battlefield, and both the princess and the Radio Demon are blown aside. As the lightning strikes continue to rain upon the area, the hotel crew and I.M.P all duck for cover from the attack, with some of them shielding and protecting each other. While the allied teams were fleeing for cover, Leviathan then uses his marine telepathy to summon an unseen creature to his aid. The massive creature rises from the water, revealing it to be the Von Eldritch family's pet, the Kraken, as well as a small army of demonic sea creatures.

Vaggie, Millie, Cherri Bomb, Striker, Niffty, Fergus, and Angel Dust all team up to stop the Kraken and the summoned sea monsters. They work together to battle the sea creatures, with Fergus at one point saving Millie from falling into the Kraken's jaws, only for her to leap out of his hand and bisect an anglerfish demon that attempted to eat him. Despite the team's efforts, the Kraken catches all of them, except for Striker, with its tentacles and prepares to devour him. However, the Kraken is suddenly attacked by demonic tentacles summoned from a portal below it, revealing the assailant to be Alastor. Striker, with a look of pure evil on his face, seizes the opportunity to cut a gaping hole in the Kraken's head using a knife, before leaping high in the air and pulling out a blessed revolver, and killing the Kraken with a well-placed holy bullet to its exposed brain as it was being helplessly suspended by Alastor.

Following the death of the Kraken, the two teams regroup and advance to stop Leviathan once and for all. Their victory over the Kraken is short-lived as Leviathan increases the intensity of the storm, knocking Millie and Niffty into the ocean, and prompting several members of the hotel crew and I.M.P into jumping in and rescuing them. Taking advantage, Leviathan causes a whirlpool near their location, causing everyone to be slowly swept underwater, forcing nearly the entire team to save them from drowning. With nearly all of his enemies in one place, Leviathan charged up a lightning attack from his maw and projected a powerful lightning attack at them all. Just as Leviathan did so, Charlie urgently created an energy shield around the team, but the shield is hit by the lightning before it could reach full strength. The resulting explosion devastates both teams and sent them all flying off into the ocean.

As both teams lay injured, Leviathan focuses his attention back on flooding Hell and increases the intensity of the storm. Across the seven rings, the flood and hurricanes have resulted in streets and small homes being engulfed in water. The rings have spiraled into chaos, with countless terrified and confused demons desperately struggling to swim to safety in the streets or struggling to reach higher ground. Eventually, skyscrapers are knocked down by the intense winds and lightning. In the Pride Ring, the 666 News is in disarray, with their newsroom filling with water, but Tom Trench is still attempting to inform the populace of the cataclysmic storm. However, the news goes off the air when Tom and Kate Killjoy get into an argument and fight when the latter was more focused on finding ways to blame Charlie for the storm rather than keeping the public informed.

Back in the Envy Ring, most of I.M.P and the hotel crew are too injured and exhausted to continue fighting. Charlie uses her powers to pull everyone onto a small island and tends to Vaggie, who is lying motionless. Fortunately, Vaggie was still alive, but she was more badly injured than the others. Blitzø was knocked out by the explosion and Vortex's right arm is left scarred from the explosion, with a distraught Loona desperately trying to keep both of them safe. Niffty was left mostly unscathed due to Alastor defending her, and she quickly woke up Millie, who was knocked out and lying motionless from the attack. Leviathan grins sinisterly, gloating over his assumed victory as the team lay helpless, preparing to wipe all of them out with another lightning attack. However, before he could finish them all off, Leviathan is struck from behind with a bolt of green energy. The attack doesn't even phase him, but he turns around to see Seviathan standing alone, looking at his father with a burning glare full of absolute hatred, revealing he was the assailant. As Leviathan angrily slithered over to the prince, an injured Millie staggered to her feet, where Niffty gave the imp Scorpius' ax before Millie weakly told Niffty to follow her as they both run off.

As the being who murdered his brothers and sisters towered over him, Seviathan courageously stood tall and closed his eyes, seemingly accepting his fate. Leviathan begins disparaging and ridiculing the prince for his "failure", hatefully calling him a slur and bitterly calling himself a fool for believing Seviathan could accomplish his mission. As such, Leviathan decides to kill Seviathan once and for all to correct his "mistake" of sparing him when he first hatched from his egg, immediately firing a blast of lightning at the Prince of Envy who seemingly makes contact with him. However, when the dust clears, it is revealed that Seviathan survived as he was protected by an energy barrier conjured by Charlie. Leviathan angrily left the prince to kill Charlie once and for all, leading to a massive fight between the King of Envy and the Princess of Hell.

Leviathan attempted to use his lightning attacks against Charlie, but her magic proves too powerful as she uses barriers to block every single attack, at one point rebounding his own lightning against him. Charlie then summoned her angel wings and dashed around Leviathan, blasting him with fire and dodging his attacks. During the battle, Leviathan begins taunting Charlie over the thousands, if not millions, of her subjects that are dying as they fight, which enrages the Princess of Hell. At one point in the massive battle, Charlie and Leviathan's beams connected, resulting in the two struggling to overpower each other. Charlie manages to win the magic duel and her extremely powerful magical beam strikes Leviathan, melting his scales and successfully burning a large portion of his skin from his chest. The sea serpent roared in pain and began to show a hint of fear as Charlie declared that she would not let him destroy her home. Realizing the princess' power, Leviathan resorted to underhanded tactics to prevail; he fired two separate lightning bolts not at Charlie, but at her injured allies and Seviathan respectively. Taken by surprise, Charlie protected her injured teammates and Seviathan using energy shields. As Charlie was preoccupied, Leviathan seized the opportunity and manipulated the storm to strike Charlie with lightning, seriously harming the princess and removing her from the fight. As Vaggie limped over to the princess and the team was devastated by her injury, Leviathan taunted the princess for her sense of morality, calling her "weak" because of it.

With Charlie down for the count, the survival of Hell now fell on Seviathan's shoulders. The Prince of Envy stood in fear, unsure of what to do, until Fergus shouted at him to "use the fish", a reference to him previously making fun of Seviathan's power of communicating with fish. At that moment, Seviathan recalls his memory of his father teaching him how to manipulate Hell's sea life. The Prince of Envy then concentrates intensely, projecting a telepathic message to Envy's sea creatures, calling out to them to help him and his allies.

Although he has some difficulty at first, Seviathan's marine telepathy finally activates, and within mere seconds, millions of Envy's sea creatures rise from the ocean and rush toward the sea serpent, astonishing the entire team, especially Fergus, who previously doubted Seviathan's control over demonic sea life. Envy's ocean life then swarms Leviathan, attacking the serpent and slowly overwhelming him with their numbers. Leviathan furiously ordered the countless sea creatures to kill I.M.P and the hotel crew, but they refused to obey him as they considered Seviathan their true king. Enraged at their defiance, Leviathan angrily attempted to fight against the massive hoard, killing as many as he could, but the sheer number of oceanic creatures continues to overwhelm him.

While Leviathan was distracted, Millie and Niffty manage to climb their way up to the sea serpent by hitching a ride on a demonic octopus and making their way inside of the serpent by crawling inside of the wound that Charlie had previously given him. Millie gave Niffty a blessed knife before swimming her way up toward Leviathan's head. Niffty then used her blinding speed to quickly eviscerate the inside of the sea serpent using the knife. Meanwhile, Millie swims her way up to Leviathan's head, cutting the inside of his body with Scorpius' angelic ax along the way. After finally making her way to his head, Millie goes to town on the inside of the serpent's head, destroying his cranial cavity and brain using Scorpius' holy ax in a feral rage.

On the outside, Leviathan is thrashing around violently, roaring in agony as Millie and Niffty's attack begins taking effect. The attacks from Scorpius' holy fire ax result in the inside of Leviathan's body being engulfed in holy fire, burning him from the inside. Shortly after, Millie deals the killing blow by explosively slicing her way out of his head, destroying his forehead, and engulfing his head in holy fire, finally slaying the sea serpent once and for all. Millie manages to pull Niffty from Leviathan and protects her as the serpent's body slowly collapses into the ocean, causing a massive tidal wave. Leviathan's lifeless and braindead corpse, while slowly being consumed by the holy flames, then sinks to the lowest and darkest depths of the ocean from whence he came, never to be seen again.

Aftermath

Almost immediately after Leviathan's demise, the storm he produced around Hell dissipates, and for the first time in billions of years, Envy's cloud cover dissipates to reveal the sky and sunshine. Following this, the sea creatures of Envy all surround Seviathan in reverence. During this, the prince remembered all the good times he shared with Hell's sea creatures, who became friends with him throughout his childhood and would comfort him during hard times. Moved by their loyalty even centuries later, Seviathan, with tears streaming down his face, thanked them for their loyalty. Having successfully protected their true king, the sea creatures of Envy return to the ocean depths as Fergus awkwardly thanked them for their assistance and apologizes to them for previously mocking Seviathan's ability to control fish.

In the aftermath of the massive battle, the hotel team and I.M.P regroup and tend to each other's injuries. During this, Scorpius is revealed to have survived being flung from the distance and approached I.M.P, where he is embraced by Millie, who was elated to see he is still alive. This was then followed by Moxxie finally arriving, revealing his survival (albeit with an injured shoulder) to I.M.P. Millie and Blitzø is shocked by his survival before both of them are driven to tears by seeing him alive and hug him in relief. Millie, barely able to compose herself, begs Moxxie to never leave her again, to which he assured her that he wouldn't. During the heartwarming reunion, Fergus awkwardly apologized for nearly killing Moxxie and set the imp on his shoulders to give him some relief. Following this, Blitzø attempted to taunt Striker, only to discover that he has mysteriously vanished.

As Seviathan was admiring the hidden beauty of Envy as well as his newfound freedom, Vaggie approached him and complimented him on his bravery. Charlie, having recovered from her previous injury, hugged Seviathan tightly, stating how proud she was of him. Blitzø interrupts the conversation and cynically reminds them that although Leviathan is slain, the entirety of Hell has still been left devastated by his attack, with millions of casualties and the uncertainty of whether or not the Happy Hotel was destroyed by the storm. Moreso, the Von Eldritch name has been permanently tarnished by Leviathan's actions. However, Seviathan gives a monologue highlighting how, despite Hell being devastated and Leviathan's actions leaving an impact that will be felt for years to come, he will work hard as the new King of Envy to restore his family name and right his father's wrongs.

With their grievances settled, Blitzø attempts to bid the hotel crew farewell since I.M.P no longer had a need to kill them, but Fergus recommended to Blitzø that I.M.P stick with the hotel crew since they betrayed Lucifer, and both teams will almost certainly be in dire trouble when Hell's higher-ups discover that they killed a king of Hell. With this in mind, Blitzø begrudgingly agrees that I.M.P will join the hotel crew in exchange for protection, to which Charlie is elated to have "new friends". As Seviathan stays to assess the damages in Envy, the hotel crew and I.M.P walk off as allies, although it is clear that they have a lot of character development to go through before they can officially be called friends.

In the episode's post-credits scene, the remaining members of the Seven Deadly Sins hold a meeting, discussing the deaths of Belphegor and Leviathan. Lucifer destroys Leviathan's chair and spitefully says that he always knew the former King of Envy would eventually betray him, to which Asmodeus humorously stated that Leviathan's betrayal was rather obvious, due to him being the King of Envy. The Sins discuss the repercussions of Leviathan's attempt to kill all non-aquatic demons, as a vast number of Hell's populations are beginning to unite and revolt against the Seven Deadly Sins in the aftermath of the storm. Lucifer then sat down and began deviously informing his cohorts of their next moves to crush their new enemies and any growing resistance.

Chapter 5

A month after Leviathan's attack, Hell is still ravaged and many areas of providence are left in ruin, with the corpses of those who perished in the flood still floating in nearby bodies of water, the other demons too numb to the sight or simply not caring enough to dispose of them. Some religious demons interpreted Leviathan's flood as the first sign of Hell's end, with these groups preaching the end of Hell's days in the streets, beckoning other demons to join them for salvation. Leviathan's attack also led to the deterioration of many demons' loyalty to the Ringleaders.

In "Cleanliness is Close to Heavenlyness", at the request of the princesses, Charlie and the hotel's occupancy engage in community service to help Pentagram City following the destructive flood brought about by Leviathan. Amid the city's cleanup efforts, Moxxie falls into a submerged cavity. Within this sunken hollow, he encounters a mass of water teeming with countless drifting bodies—men, women, and children who fell victim to the deluge's fury. The sight triggers a wave of panic within Moxxie, resurfacing haunting memories of his own tragic past: the loss of his mother and the coercion by Crimson, his father, to partake in the drowning of victims. Disturbed and shaken, Moxxie eventually rejoins his companions, but his altered demeanor catches the attention of Angel Dust. While Charlie and Vaggie attempt to provide solace, Moxxie feigns normalcy, only to find genuine comfort later from Millie.

In "A Little Piece of Heaven", Sera, Serenity, and Leo Lightheart, on their mission to find Heaven's Light stumble upon a town that was destroyed by Leviathan's flood, with most of its denizens wiped out and the town regularly picked apart by looters. Serenity and Leo take pity on the town and, against Sera's wishes, take it upon themselves to help the downtrodden inhabitants restore their town and fend off looters, bonding and forming a close bond with its denizens along the way despite their demon hood.

In "A Behemoth of Fun", Seviathan recalls a memory where he had attempted to commit suicide by hanging to escape his family, only for it to temporarily render him unconscious. He woke up to his father taunting him for thinking a simple noose could end his life and telling Seviathan to stop being "dramatic" and cease his attempts to escape his life and destiny. The memory causes Seviathan to clench his fist so tightly that it produces blood.

Personality

As Leviathan Von Eldritch

Superficially, Leviathan projected himself as an amiable and dependable figure, consistently upholding an outward persona of a reliable entity. In reality, Leviathan was deeply sinister, strict and manipulative, only caring about status and power. He was also fanatically devoted to Azathoth in a way resembling a backwoods hillbilly, going as far as to kill his own infant children to satisfy Azathoth with their tears of pain. His methods of punishment were extremely draconian, feeding his servants to the Kraken and dishing out horrific tortures to Seviathan for his missteps.

As his surname implied, Leviathan could be very odd and bizarre at times; He was prone to going on nonsensical monologues about the sea, about eldritch gods beyond the stars, myths, about the olden days when he was a terrorizing the seven seas. While rambling, he sometimes came across as eccentric, flamboyant, and slightly unhinged. He had a fascination with the occult, everything macabre and grotesque, and Lovecraftian lore, particularly with the Colossus. He seemed to enjoy shocking and unsettling others with his bizarre interests, morbid idols, and rituals, as seen when he was showing off his shrine to the dark gods to Charlie. He is very open about this and shows a mix of enthusiasm and obliviousness to others' discomfort, as when he attempted to indoctrinate Charlie into his bizarre rituals. He is forceful in his attempts to share his eldritch faith, often going overboard in his excitement, completely disregarding social cues or the discomfort of those around him.

Leviathan is quite dramatic and thrives on spectacle, using dark rituals, ancient relics, and vivid descriptions of horror to showcase his devotion. His language is infused with theatrical grandiosity and very archaic lingo (such as saying "endleofan" instead of "eleven"). He is not only deeply committed to the worship of dark beings but seems to derive personal gratification from it and the morbid acts he does to appease them, even at one point suggesting that his faith is the only thing that stirs any passion within him.

Leviathan's personality also has an unsettling, humorous edge—he is almost oblivious to how disturbing he appears to others. Despite his apparent lack of self-awareness, he is very authoritative and stern when it comes to enforcing his beliefs, tolerating no "heresy" in his domain of Envy.

Outside of his love for disturbing and hurting others, Leviathan is shown to have very little in the way of a sense of humor, as shown by his genuine disgust when Asmodeus sarcastically told him and Lucifer to hate-fuck to squash any beef between them.

He was regarded as the "black sheep" of the Ringleaders, his presence killing the party atmosphere and all of the other Ringleaders making jokes at his expense. He was very out-of-touch and estranged with the other Ringleaders in general and they only welcomed him with extreme reluctance. He is also easily the most uptight and snobbish of the Ringleaders, with a gatekeeping personality akin to a mean girl. The fact that he was generally left out of the Ringleaders' escapades while Lucifer was nearly universally beloved only strengthened his desire to overthrow Lucifer.

Leviathan was fueled by the anger and resentment his entire existence. He grew to hate Behemoth simply for being larger and stronger than him and essentially enslaved him once granted power from Azathoth. He later resented Lucifer for using him as part of the Sins' circus troupe, believing that the troupe was a waste of time and their immense power.

Leviathan viewed any display of compassion, affection, or virtue as signs of weakness, attributes he associated with being susceptible to exploitation. Possessing a selfish, pathetic sense of entitlement, he firmly believed it was his right to control the lives of everyone, and had no compunctions over manipulating his allies and family members, usurping someone else's throne, or killing anyone to get him closer to what he wanted. He derived a perverse amusement from reducing others to submission and fear, as exemplified by his manipulation and gaslighting of Seviathan. Although he often maintained a grave demeanor, Leviathan could exhibit sarcastic and caustic tendencies when deriding those he deemed beneath him. This facet of his personality managed to earn the approval of Seviathan, one of the few traits that found favor in Seviathan's eyes.

As anticipated given his status, his motivations were largely fueled by envy and malice, rendering him incapable of tolerating the concept or mere presence of individuals of higher societal standing, which elucidates his intense animosity toward the Magne family. Despite his insatiable thirst for power, he displayed remarkable patience. He bided his time, willing to await Seviathan's complete immersion into his designs before enacting his strategy to dethrone Lucifer.

Leviathan was a perfectionist when it came to his family, with a particular emphasis on Seviathan. He meticulously projected an image of his family possessing the same elegance and authority as the Magne family, engaging in extensive micromanagement.Emotionally detached from his family members, he held a modicum of regard for his wife, Bethesda, and daughter, Hellsa. However, Leviathan's utilization of his family, especially his offspring, was exclusively for his personal gain. His control over them was pervasive and stifling; he subjected his children to stringent regulations, barring any interactions with individuals from lower social castes. He also had no qualms over breaking his children to make them conform to his expectations. A stark example of this was his systematic endeavor to erode Seviathan's positive attributes by depriving him of sources of joy and isolating him from external influences. This isolation facilitated his mistreatment of Seviathan and the distortion of his worldview. Leviathan's disciplinary methods were ruthless, utilizing demonic appendages to brutally slam Seviathan against walls and pin him down. Instances of physical harm inflicted by his claws and even outright torture, such as confining Seviathan in a chamber with ravenous piranhas, underscored his merciless approach.

Under the guise of a sophisticated and poised demon, Leviathan's underlying primal nature manifested whenever his anger surfaced. He indulged in the misery of others and relished in dishing out unnecessarily cruel punishment to those who disappointed him. He loves killing and breaking people, relishing the feeling of choosing whether they live or die. He took pleasure in hurting Seviathan both physically and emotionally for his missteps, even taunting him over joining his siblings in death for his failures. According to Seviathan, it appeared that Leviathan didn't hesitate to eliminate his servants if they fell short of his expectations. Instances of this included the murder of a servant who exposed his traitorous actions, as well as leaving another servant to be consumed by the Kraken. He displayed a disturbing relish in invoking fear in his servants, as exemplified by the grisly fate he orchestrated, splattering one across the window of his throne room while savoring their terror. Moreover, he compelled Seviathan to slowly kill a puppy he had cared for, visibly taking pleasure in the ordeal.

Leviathan exhibited an unsettling lack of remorse for sacrificing his countless infant children to Azathoth, even taking perverse pride in their demise by preserving their remains in his castle's catacombs. He described the process of slowly killing them as "euphoric," recounting their deaths with a disturbing sense of nostalgia.

In addition to being manipulative and callous, Leviathan was bigoted and xenophobic; he had homophobic tendencies as he referred to Vaggie, a lesbian, as a "dyke" several times, and frequently berated Seviathan with homophobic slurs to humiliate him. He was also deeply classist, as he absolutely abhorred the lower echelons of Hell, frequently belittled them, and barred his children from associating with them in any way. He greatly supports Hell's hierarchy that prevents "undesirable" from achieving success, belittling imps as "impures" and "cockroaches", and Hellhounds as "pets". With the combination of his homophobia and classism, he refuses to shake Stolas' hand out of disgust for the prince sleeping with an imp, who is male, and mocked the Goetia prince's family's social status.

He also displayed a hatred for angels and humanity, gleefully reminiscing over chewing up the bones and muscles of the angels and humans he had devoured, and referring to humans as "insects" and "devolving animals". He disliked angels in his own belief that they see themselves as morally and socially superior to demons, and accused them of being too "clean", and despised their purities. He also cited their protection and love for humanity as "asinine", especially since many humans do not believe in angels or rebel against them and their Creator, God.

Leviathan was rather open about the fact that he sought to become the King of Hell solely because of the power it would have given him over the Inferno and its populace and that he had no intention of actually being a fair ruler. Overall, Leviathan was a cruel, selfish, heartless, and incredibly pathetic monster who would happily kill, torture, lie, cheat, backstab, and steal to satisfy his fragile ego out of a petty desire to rule over those he felt that have wronged him.

As The Leviathan

"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! The formalities are over with! Too late for regrets! The time has come to take what SHOULD HAVE BEEN MINE!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"
— Leviathan's villainous breakdown after assuming his Full Demon Form and beginning his takeover of Hell.

However, Leviathan Von Eldritch was truly a mask to hide what Leviathan truly is. As the Leviathan, he was a violent, savage sea creature of sadistic, feral fury who reveled in destroying civilizations, terrorizing his prey, obsessing over his immense powers, and governing with terror over the seven seas. After Seviathan refused to marry Charlie once and for all during their arranged wedding and Charlie's allies assaulted him, whatever sanity Leviathan had left came crashing down as he assumed his true form to finally kickstart his hostile takeover of the seven rings. After transforming into his true form, much of his dialogue consisted of him cackling insanely, gushing over how he will enjoy devouring his enemies, and gleefully reveling in the destruction and chaos he would eagerly cause to take over Hell. He proved to be even more unscrupulous, unhinged, and destructive in this form, attempting to flood the seven rings of Hell and murder billions upon billions of non-aquatic demons in order to turn Hell into an aquatic wasteland where he ruled as both a king and a god. Despite his immense power, Leviathan showed signs of cowardice, as after Charlie severely wounded him with a blast of holy magic, he resorted to underhanded tactics to prevail, which hinted that at his core, Leviathan was a pathetic coward who was terrified of and deeply jealous of anyone more powerful than him. This also showed that even when he unleashed his animalistic fury, Leviathan still had his cunning and clever nature, willing to do anything and everything to prevail, even if he had to kill trillions of souls, his own son included.

Appearance

Default Form

Leviathan's default form was that of a humanoid demon tall circa 2,0 meters with dark grey skin and bright, pupilless green eyes. He had a mouth full of sharp, green teeth, and sported grey hair that was lined with small black spots throughout which gave his hair the appearance of a cephalopod's tentacles. He sported a pencil-thin mustache. Whenever Leviathan became greatly upset, he would often take on a more eldritch appearance with sharp-toothed moths and green eyes popping out throughout his body, in addition to becoming surrounded by disembodied green eyes.

His primary attire consisted of a dark grey tailcoat with a light grey underside. The tails on his coat were lined with black dots which gave them the appearance of tentacles. He often wore two separate large, black top hats, one of which sported two green mouths with sharp teeth on both sides of it, and the other of which had green eyes across the crown. He sported epaulets lined with green teeth, a grey undershirt, black trousers, and black dress shoes. He wore black gloves with his sharp, green claws protruding from them.

Full Demon Form

In his fully demonic and true form, Leviathan took the form of a colossal, dragon-like sea serpent. His true form was utterly titanic in size, roughly 715 meters in length. His body was mostly a dark grey color, with his underbelly starting from just below his jaw up to the tip of his tail having ribbed green lines. He had twelve eyes on each side of his face, all of which were a pupilless red color, and reached all the way down to the upper part of his neck. His head was covered with sharp, bright green spines which went down from his head all the way to the tip of his tail. He had sporadic green scales down the length of his body, and a long tail. His legs were fairly small, especially compared to his overall size, while his feet were replaced with flippers to grant him extra mobility while swimming underwater. His sharp teeth were colored black and appeared to be one with his skin, and he sported three, bright green claws on his hand. Finally, his back was covered with eight tentacles which all had green spines down the length and were black in color while going greyer towards the tips.

Powers and Abilities

"Ye think joinin' forces up with a band of impures is enough to stop me? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Oh, Charlotte, ye truly are desperate!"
— Leviathan in his true form, mocking Charlie after I.M.P teamed up with the hotel crew to stop Leviathan from taking over and destroying Hell.

Natural Powers

  • Amphibiousness: Leviathan could metabolize oxygen from water, allowing him to travel underwater for as long as he desired without needing to resurface, although he was certainly more than capable of surviving on land.
  • Demonic Transformation: Like the rest of his family, Leviathan had the ability to instantly transform into a more aquatic form when needing to traverse through water, and then shift back into his humanoid form once he was back on the surface. Leviathan could also transform into his Full Demon Form (which was also his true form), as well as easily shift back to his normal form. Though his full powers were unleashed in his true, monstrous state, Leviathan had very rarely used this form in modern times, and very few entities had witnessed him in this state, and even fewer have lived to tell about it.
  • Immortality: Leviathan was a primordial entity that was ancient enough that no one seems to know his true origins. He possessed an infinite lifespan and could live indefinitely, as he had shown little signs of aging, despite being a billion years old at the very least. Despite his never-ending lifespan, Leviathan could still be killed if he is struck with angelic weapons, and he could still be erased by immensely powerful entities above his level of power.
    • Nigh-Invulnerability: During his time, Leviathan was extremely resilient and invincible to nearly all forms of weaponry or harm. His durability was increased exponentially in his true form, where the teeth of all trench dwellers were said to break upon contact with his nearly indestructible scales, and the weapons of sailors, from swords, harpoons, and even bullets simply bounced off his hide. His scales were even strong enough to repel bullets and arrows of holy properties, as shown during his battle with the hotel crew and I.M.P. Regardless, Leviathan could still sustain potentially irreversible damage if he was lethally attacked in a vulnerable and/or vital area with holy weaponry or divine entities. Indeed, Leviathan met his end and was slain when Millie utilized Scorpius' holy fire ax to kill him from the inside.
    • Regeneration: Leviathan could almost instantly regenerate from horrific injuries to the extent that he could regenerate his entire physical form. However, his powerful regeneration could be nullified by divine attacks; This was demonstrated when Scorpius used his holy fire ax to cut one of Leviathan's tentacles from his back, which caused the King of Envy great pain, and the severed tentacle did not regenerate.
  • Immunity to Madness Inducement: Thanks in no small part to his unbreakable mind, Leviathan was naturally immune to entities or magical sources that can break minds and cause insanity. He was able to gaze upon Azathoth, whose very visage could turn a human's mind to "mush". Notably, Leviathan's mind was unbreakable even before Azathoth bestowed him with a fraction of its power, though it's possible that Leviathan was already quite mad before he met Azathoth.

Unique Powers

  • Eldritch Power: Leviathan was to have accepted a great deal of eldritch power from Azathoth, making him one of the most powerful entities in history. In the past, he apparently fought God Himself, though was effortlessly struck down. Indeed, Leviathan was able to devastate the seven rings of Hell by simply transforming into his true form and conjuring massive storms and tsunamis that enveloped all of Hell in mere minutes and devastated cities and landscapes. Even the combined forces of the Hazbin Hotel's occupants and I.M.P were nearly helpless against Leviathan during their battle. He was even capable of briefly holding his own against Charlie despite her enormous partially angelic power and managed to defeat her, although he was losing the battle initially, was injured by her flames, and had to resort to underhanded tactics to prevail over her.
    • Atmokinesis: Leviathan possessed the power to manipulate the weather across the entirety of Hell, but for most of his life restricted his influence on the Envy Ring. He could produce powerful and long-reaching storms and lightning, as well as disperse or summon cloud cover. It was noted that he was the reason behind Envy's constant rainfall, and he was capable of spawning strong waves and violent storms, producing hurricanes, tsunamis, and tornadoes with enough power to devastate entire landscapes, in order to bring the rage of the ocean upon those who anger him. During his attempt to take over the seven rings of Hell, Leviathan conjured a Hell-wide hurricane that flooded the streets of Hell and destroyed nearly everything in its path, including skyscrapers and entire landscapes.
    • Aquatic Adaptation: Leviathan could easily survive and thrive in the darkest, deepest bowels of the ocean deep and suffer no discomfort whatsoever.
    • Electrokinesis: Leviathan could charge up and project a superheated stream of extremely powerful lightning from his maw that was capable of boiling water, reducing living targets to nothingness, and easily destroying any man-made structures in a single hit. He could project this attack as one long bolt or multiple strikes in quick succession.
    • Enhanced Senses: Leviathan's enhanced vision enabled him to see in complete and total darkness, which allowed him to casually traverse even the darkest depths of the ocean.
    • Hydrokinesis: As the King of Hell's oceans, Leviathan could manipulate and bend water using his mind, and create immense tidal waves and whirlpools. He could also form water into various shapes and intricate constructs which he could manipulate and could produce water from seemingly nowhere by manipulating the moisture in the air.
      • Water-Walking: Leviathan could walk on water as if it was a solid surface, and occasionally uses waves as a mode of transportation.
    • Marine Telepathy: Leviathan could telepathically communicate with Hell's sea life, from minnows to colossal sea monsters, inducing them into allying themselves with him and carrying out his exact bidding. While teaching Seviathan how to communicate with sea life, Leviathan claimed that both he and the prince could mentally command millions, if not billions, of oceanic creatures all at once, which proved to be true when Seviathan successfully used that ability to summon millions of sea creatures of Envy to attack his father.
    • Portal Creation: Leviathan could produce green, magical portals of various sizes that led to his desired locations. In addition, he could conjure portals small enough for disembodied tentacles to reach out and seize objects or other entities.
    • Supernatural Strength: In his true form, Leviathan gained an incalculable amount of physical strength granted to him by his sheer size, which allowed him to effortlessly destroy entire structures with his arms, claws, tentacles, and/or his entire body, as well as causing earthquakes and tsunamis simply by moving.
    • Tentacle Manipulation: Leviathan was capable of summoning and manifesting a potentially endless number of grey, disembodied, cephalopod-like tentacles of various sizes that appeared from magical portals. He was capable of utilizing said appendages to grapple, hold, or constrict multiple objects or other entities, as well as use them to shield himself from the offensive attacks of others. The size of the tentacles ranged from the height of an average demon to several times the size of a skyscraper at their absolute largest. Regardless of size, each tentacle possessed superhuman strength, which allowed Leviathan to easily overpower other entities, rip objects apart, and lift heavy materials. At one point, Leviathan used a tentacle to hurl one of his servants into a window with enough force to make them explode into a red paste on impact.
    • Terrakinesis: Leviathan could produce devastating earthquakes in specific areas or across the seven rings of Hell.
    • Thalassokinesis: Leviathan possessed supreme control over all oceans in his presence, primarily Envy's seemingly never-ending ocean. This proved to be Leviathan's most powerful ability, as he used it to throw Earth into a state of chaos in the past, and used his control over Hell's ocean to drastically increase water levels to flood the seven rings during his hostile takeover.

Abilities

  • Authority: During his reign as the King of Envy, Leviathan possessed lordship over Envy and all of its inhabitants, which allowed him to establish laws and order his subjects around at the threat of death. In addition, his position as one of the rulers of sin granted him sway over almost every demon in Hell. However, Leviathan's authority did have limits; despite his ordering Charlie to go back to Seviathan, the Princess of Hell refused to listen to Leviathan and overruled his command due to having more influential power than him.
  • Charisma: Leviathan was capable of using his social and physical powers, as well as his superficial friendly persona, to win the good graces of others, including the likes of Lucifer and numerous members of Hell's nobility. His charisma did have its limits, however, as he was never able to win the good graces of Charlie.
  • Dancing: Leviathan was claimed by Bethesda to be an expert tap dancer.
  • Intimidation: Leviathan commanded a very intimidating and fearful presence to both his enemies and allies and governed the Envy Ring through fear. Before his years of ruling Envy, many sailors and even other sea monsters would not dare venture off too far into the sea, fearing that Leviathan would be lurking in the depths. This fear even extended to his own family and servants; Seviathan, his own son, was initially terrified of his father, even suffering nightmares about him, and was petrified of the price of disobeying or failing to please Leviathan. When angered by Vaggie, Seviathan, and Charlie's constant arguing, Leviathan angrily ordered all three demons to silence themselves in a demonic voice, which caused them to immediately become silent and anxious.
  • Natural Weaponry: In both his normal form and Full Demon Form, Leviathan possessed sharp teeth and claws sharp enough to rend and tear the flesh and bones of humans, demons, angels, and other sea creatures apart. In his true form, the sea serpent possessed eight tentacles attached to his back that he could use to destroy and/or lift heavy structures, and attack and grapple other entities.

Weaknesses

  • Enviousness: Leviathan was characterized by envy whenever someone is better or more powerful than him. He never accepted who he was and what he had and always craved to have far more than what he received, which are the reasons why he made a deal with Azathoth, to be bestowed with immense and powerful god-like power that surpasses Behemoth and why he spared Seviathan shortly after the prince's birth. He always showed enviousness to particularly anybody who had more power than him in any way and secretly schemed and plotted against them, which is the case of the Magne family. His total willingness and desire for power are what finally lead to his demise because he never appreciated what he had and always relied on having more things just because he believed he can and because he constantly desired to have them in his possession.

Relationships

Family

Behemoth

Behemoth is Leviathan's brother and counterpart as the beast of land. From his creation, Leviathan was jealous of Behemoth for his superior size and strength but was initially content with his circumstances as Behemoth and the other land animals were lost in the darkness of the new world while Leviathan thrived in the darkness of the ocean. However, this changed when Earth was given light and Behemoth could live comfortably on earth, enraging Leviathan. After Leviathan was granted eldritch power from Azathoth, he intimidated Behemoth into helping him ravage the world, forcing Behemoth to kill the woodland friends he had garnered and devastate the land he loved. After the two were banished to Hell, Leviathan and Behemoth split with Leviathan banishing Behemoth from Envy, who retired to the Gluttony Ring.

In the present, Leviathan and Behemoth both openly despise each other, with Leviathan regarding Behemoth as weak while Behemoth calls Leviathan a "two-faced emo loser" and an "incel". Their dynamic resembles that of antagonistic kindergartners, displaying an aversion akin to childish rivalry. Additionally, Leviathan criticizes Behemoth's decision to reside in Gluttony, attributing such a choice to individuals he deems as directionless "plebs" with no prospects in life.

Bethesda Von Eldritch

Bethesda is the Queen of Envy, and Leviathan's wife, widow, and one of the subservient minions. Sometime after Leviathan was granted dominion over the ring of Envy, he encountered Bethesda within the depths of the ocean of Envy. The King of Envy proposed that if she served as a means of procreation for the King of Envy, he would allow her to reign over Envy by his side. Naturally, the power-hungry Bethesda agreed to his proposition and had thousands of children with Leviathan so that he could sacrifice them to Azathoth, fulfilling the dark god's desires of possessing the tears of living things that never fully had a chance to live. Following the birth of Charlie Magne, Leviathan and Bethesda agreed to spare two of their children and use them to their advantage. After establishing their family, Leviathan and Bethesda carried the public image of a loving and powerful couple comparable to Lucifer and Lilith themselves.

While reintroducing his family to Charlie and Vaggie during their brief trip to Hell-antis, Leviathan claimed that he courted Bethesda the moment he laid his eyes on her, before the two shared a smile and chuckle. However, later that evening, Vaggie, having seen through the ruse, claimed that Leviathan saw and treated her more as a trophy than a wife. Indeed, despite establishing the public image of a power couple, Leviathan and Bethesda very much shared a loveless marriage and displayed little to no interest in each other while behind closed doors. While Bethesda appeared to practically worship Leviathan as a god at times, this is mostly only to appease his god complex and manipulate their children into being loyal to him, and although the King of Envy did somewhat respect Bethesda as she is just as cruel and manipulative as himself was, it is clear that he viewed her more as a means of procreation to continue his bloodline, or a mere servant, rather than a wife.

Seviathan Von Eldritch

"Look at ye, tremblin' like a lost pup beggin' for scraps. All ye had to do was tie the knot with the princess and bolster our familie' grip on Hell. Yet at every turn, ye stumbled and fell flat on yer mug. Not only that, ye fell for a lass who'd sooner sail the high seas with a dyke than settle down with ye. Ye be our family's greatest failure. Our weakest chain. How in the blazes did a god like me... end up raisin' a pansy such as ye?"
— Leviathan expressing his disappointment in Seviathan while violently pinning him down using demonic tentacles.
"Arr, look at ye... A foul, thankless blight on the Von Eldritch legacy. May Azathoth cast me down to Davy Jones for placin' me trust in ye when even the princess recognized ye for the failure ye are. Hehehe... Hehehe-HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! But no matter. I'll be settlin' me score at last, and doin' what I should've done THE MOMENT YE HATCHED FROM YER EGG!!!"
— Leviathan's final words to Seviathan, before attempting to kill him once and for all.

Seviathan is Leviathan's son. They shared a close, yet extremely toxic father-son relationship. Seviathan was the first spawn of Leviathan that the King of Envy decided to spare, intending to raise the future prince as a tool to expand his power across Hell by having him marry the Princess of Hell, Charlie Magne. During Seviathan's upbringing, Leviathan effectively molded the prince into his version of an ideal son while giving him limited free will. He was incredibly strict towards Seviathan, establishing a set of rules that the prince was forced to follow, such as forbidding him from affiliating with the lower class or from establishing friendships without pragmatic reasons and refusing to let him leave their castle in Hell-antis unless it was for business or PR reasons.

Before Seviathan met Charlie and was taught the value of love by her, Leviathan and the prince initially had a bit more tranquil relationship, with Leviathan spoiling him with nearly everything he had desired. Regardless, Leviathan remained distant and continued to deprive him of affection and love from the moment he was born. During Seviathan's childhood, shortly before Leviathan set the prince up to meet Charlie, the King of Envy showed the young prince the corpses of his slaughtered siblings to remind him of his possible fate should he fail to court Charlie, which left a deep, emotional scar on Seviathan.

As a result of Leviathan's behavior and the extreme amount of physical and emotional trauma he has put him through, Seviathan was deeply afraid of his father, almost never speaking out of turn when in his presence and following his father's orders without much resistance. Leviathan raised the prince as his protégé, and thus, Seviathan learned most of what he knew from his father (and later Charlie after befriending her). Growing up, Seviathan always wished to please his father and only ever wanted his love and approval, although the King of Envy was never satisfied by his efforts and refused to give him anything resembling praise or pride, at one point stating that Seviathan would only gain his favor after he married Charlie. The only occasions where Leviathan actually expressed pride in Seviathan were when the prince successfully controlled a school of demonic fish using his mind, and when he forced the prince to kill an injured pup that he was trying to nurse back to health for Charlie. Whenever Seviathan would step out of line, displeased his father, or "tarnished" their family name in any perceived way, Leviathan would subject him to extreme punishment such as physical and verbal abuse or would employ outright torturous punishments on him; at one point in Seviathan's youth, Leviathan punished the prince by locking him in a chamber filled with starving piranhas for a full day to punish him for failing to propose to Charlie, and in a flashback depicting Charlie and Seviathan playing together during their childhoods, Charlie took notice of several claw marks on Seviathan's back and on his cheek, with it being heavily implied they came from Leviathan.

Leviathan possessed absolutely no regard for Seviathan's free will or personal choices, among many things forcing him to attend high-class parties to uphold their family's image, despite Seviathan finding said events "boring". He also would come immediately violent and unreasonable whenever Seviathan mentioned not wanting to be Prince of Hell, violently attacking the prince with tentacles when he suggested that his father end the secret conflict between the Von Eldritch and Magne families.

When Seviathan finally broke free from his father's control and refused to marry Charlie, Leviathan was enraged and attempted to strangle the prince to death using a tentacle, cursing Seviathan for defying his orders. However, the King of Envy was stopped by Charlie. Later, when Seviathan stood up to his father as he attempted to take over Hell, Leviathan's final words to Seviathan were that of bitter disappointment and malice, calling the prince a slur and remarking him as "ungrateful". Leviathan admitted that he should have killed Seviathan the moment he was born, before attempting to correct his "mistake" by killing the prince, although he was once again stopped by Charlie. Seviathan then used his ability to summon Envy's sea life (which, ironically, was taught to him by his father) to summon millions of sea creatures to attack his father, which gave Millie and Niffty the opportunity to slay Leviathan once and for all.

Hellsa Von Eldritch

"She be a fine, obedient little puppet who knows her station. Crafty, treacherous, a spitting image of meself. So aye, I do 'cherish' her much as any archdemon would cherish a handy tool."
— Leviathan about his love for Hellsa.

Hellsa is Leviathan's daughter and the last child he had with Bethesda. Upon Seviathan's birth, Leviathan decided to spare Hellsa at the behest of Bethesda only so that they could use her to vie with Seviathan for his and Bethesda's attention and non-existent affection. At most, Leviathan felt pride in Hellsa due to their fondness for cruelty and manipulation, and the King of Envy would often mention her cunning to insult Seviathan. Due to Leviathan's unloving and distant behavior with his children, Hellsa and Seviathan had to live up to their father's expectations growing up, settling for nothing less than what would make him proud, although he was never impressed by either of their efforts. Leviathan was implied to spoil Hellsa, granting her request to order the staff at Hell School to give her a bigger room.

While Leviathan expressed pride in Hellsa's manipulative and spiteful demeanor, noting that Bethesda did a "competent job" raising her, it was clear that Leviathan had nothing resembling true love or care for Hellsa. Like Seviathan, he merely used her to advance his own efforts of maintaining the Von Eldritch family's supremacy, and the only reason he spared her after her birth was so that he could amuse himself and Bethesda by having her and Seviathan futilely compete for their favor. While reintroducing Hellsa to Charlie, it was shown that Hellsa has such little presence in Leviathan's mind that he often forgets her name, accidentally referring to her as "Helga". In Leviathan's eyes, she was Bethesda's daughter, not his.

Enemies

Lucifer Magne

"Me liege, fear not, for ye have our steadfast allegiance. We be a cut above the rest, and so we must band together to protect what we've built. I've got a whole slew o'demons in mind... who'd be chompin' at the bit to snatch that throne of yers."
— Leviathan's subtly foreshadowing comment towards Lucifer.

On the surface, Leviathan appeared to be very affable towards Lucifer, constantly expressing his "loyalty" towards him, and is a long-time partner of the King of Hell, with them both being founding members of the Ringleaders. The King of Envy has even outright referred to them as brothers, and they were shown to seemingly enjoy each other's company.

However, this was all a façade, as Leviathan always schemed to take over Lucifer's throne by killing him and his entire family. While Leviathan hates everyone, Lucifer is the being he seems to have the most contempt for, as Leviathan thinks Lucifer is unworthy, immature and reckless with his immense power, and desires to be above the fallen prince in any way.

Leviathan feels unsatisfied ruling the entirety of Envy, since Lucifer's position as the King of the Seven Rings of Hell renders his position effectively worthless, at least, it does in his eyes.. Leviathan also expressed jealousy over the reputation Lucifer's family possessed, and therefore he attempted to paint his own family in a similar light.

During their meetings at the Temple of Sin, Lucifer often enjoyed mocking Leviathan’s pride, belittling his status, and wholeheartedly exploiting his inferiority complex. Leviathan, in turn, despised Lucifer’s arrogance but was often powerless to act against him, leading to constant seething resentment.

Despite Leviathan's attempts to gain Lucifer's trust, the King of Hell claimed that he always knew Leviathan would betray him following the King of Envy's death.

Mammon

Mammon and Leviathan dislike each other; they have an ongoing feud over territory, with Mammon's greed-driven incursions into Envy invoking Leviathan's fury. Leviathan also loathes Mammon in his own belief that Mammon brings their image down, right down to fat-shaming him. Their relationship is built on constant betrayals and threats, with Mammon seeing Leviathan as a nuisance and Leviathan viewing Mammon as a greedy pest.

Charlie Magne

"Nay, lass. It never were enough. I've watched ye grow since ye were a babe, Charlotte. I ken ye're foremost a creature of empathy... and stubbornness. I've deciphered every line of ye. Them's true. I AM truth. And the truth be that I'll always win, for ye're less of a demon than I."
— Leviathan taunting Charlie.
"Cry all ye want. You can't un-ruin Seviathan's childhood."
— Leviathan taunting Charlie.

Leviathan had a long history with Charlie, having known her since she was a small child and following her development since birth. Leviathan almost always acted courteously and genially towards Charlie in a clear attempt to gain the princess' loyalty and trust. Despite his efforts, Charlie was always very untrustworthy of Leviathan from the moment the two first meet. Upon meeting Seviathan and getting to know his family more, Charlie quickly grew to dislike Leviathan out of disgust for the way he treated Seviathan behind closed doors as well as him clearly encouraging Hellsa's toxic behavior and spoiling her. Even from her youth, Charlie was uneasy around Leviathan, looking visibly uncomfortable when the King of Envy picked her up while cheerfully referring to himself as her uncle.

At best, Leviathan and Charlie had an uneasy and very awkward relationship. In most cases, Leviathan acted enthusiastic and overbearing, showing a keen interest in sharing his passion for the occult and eldritch with Charlie, while she seemed uncomfortable and disinterested. Charlie often tried to politely distance herself from Leviathan's eccentricities, but Leviathan disregarded Charlie's discomfort and continued to try and indoctrinate her in his strange rituals and discussions about ancient lore.

When Charlie broke up with Seviathan, Leviathan relentlessly harassed Charlie in an attempt to force her to get back together with him, although all of his advancements went ignored and only strained their relationship further. Leviathan truly had no respect for Charlie and despised her for refusing Seviathan's hand in marriage as well as her encouraging the prince to be more altruistic. While Leviathan was aware that Charlie is a powerful demon, he believed that the princess' sense of morality held her back from her full potential and thus viewed her as weak regardless.

Vaggie

"Sorry your dad's a piece of shit, but it's not our problem."
— Vaggie to Seviathan.

Even before the two formally interacted, Leviathan already despised Vaggie for her sexuality, low-class status, and interference in Seviathan gaining Charlie's hand. He heavily disapproved of her relationship with Charlie, believing that Charlie should not associate with a sinner, much less one from a lower class, and has attempted to convince Charlie to abandon Vaggie more than once. Despite his disdain for her, Leviathan was capable of feigning kindness towards Vaggie in an attempt to manipulate her and lower her guard, as displayed by his initial behavior when he invited her and Charlie to Hell-antis, even allowing Vaggie to cross into the ring of Envy. However, Vaggie remained very untrusting of Leviathan and his family overall for attempting to put Charlie in an arranged marriage, bluntly referring to Leviathan as a "piece of shit" while rebuking Seviathan.

Chapter 3

"Aveast, Lucy Goosey! (he tips his hat) Blow me down with a barnacle-laden plank! How fares ye, me hearty matey? I be scuppered that Belphegor weighed anchor afore ye did!"
— Leviathan to Lucifer, upon the latter arriving at the Seven Deadly Sins' meeting.
"Angels, them feathered rats. (Lucifer gives Leviathan a sharp look, and Leviathan catches on) Exceptin' ye, me hearty! I be speakin' o' the do-gooders; the ones prancin' about thinkin' they be superior to us. With their squeaky-clean souls and pious airs, yet they keep on guardin' humanity and stickin' to them bilge rats what deny 'em and their Maker. (chuckles) Daft as a drunken seafowl, they is."
— Leviathan mocking angels and their relationship with humans after Lucifer informed the Seven Deadly Sins of angels being present in Heaven.
"Leviathan: If ye'd be forgivin' me frankness, but I reckon I speak for the whole crew when I say we're fed up to the gunnels with yer lass's antics. This ain't just some fancy tale spun by a wee nipper no more, Luci. I can still recall clear as Azathoth's Dark Tapestry when she parted ways with Seviathan, and ye swore 'twas just a bit o' youthful rebellion she'd outgrow in time. But here we are, and she's still wrapped up with that lowly wench. We're all growin'... Impatient with yer explanations.
Lucifer: (Lucifer stands up and begins approaching Leviathan with a smile on his face) Leviathan, let me tell you a secret. You know how you hate my daughter so much? Well, she HATES you. Your arrogance, your pride, your endless and incessant need to be the biggest fish in the water, she simply detests it all. She even told me she wouldn't shed a tear if you died. (Lucifer grins and condescendingly taps Leviathan on the head with his cane; Leviathan snarls, the sides of his mouth splitting and forming teeth) She'll hate you for all eternity. I'm proud of her that. Haha!
"
— Leviathan confronting Lucifer on Charlie's actions.

Chapter 4

"Seviathan: I have everything under control, father.
Leviathan: (while gazing out a massive porthole with theater binoculers) Yep. The twilight be upon us.
Seviathan: I won't make you regret choosing me, father.
Leviathan: (he lowers his binoculars, turning to face Seviathan, eyes glowing in the darkness) Ye won't, huh? (he chuckles dryly) Ye barely even qualify for courtship. But, on the rare chance ye prove yer lot, will ye be able to handle the scrutiny o'every soul in Hell? Will ye have the willpower to survive the endless gossip, backbitin', and sabotage? And the most important question: Can ye even 'win' the favor of a prideful, high-blooded lady? What'll make ye worthy o'her hand? Or will ye fail and bring eternal shame and dishonor upon us all?
Seviathan: She has the weak heart of a Magne. Baiting her in'll be easy, if you only give me time...
Leviathan: Weak-hearted, hmm? Then ye both be on equal footin'. (he cackles) Ye may be onto something, lad. If ye be lookin' to bring us closer to Lucifer, I ask, how will ye secure her from others what will try and take her away? What if she chooses to run away with another? (he grabs Seviathan's chin, who recoils) The truth be, ye will never be able to satisfy her. She be weak-willed... but I know that she's no fool. You are weak o'heart, and I doubt ye have what it takes to secure her love for long. That's why we must cast her and her father to Davy Jones afore she smells yer weakness. Ya hear me, lad?
Seviathan: ...Yes, sir.
Leviathan: (he shoves Seviathan away by his face) Best thrown on yer best garb afore she arrives. Ye better hope ye don't fail me. Ye know I cannot stand failure, boy. Ye know.
"
— Leviathan and Seviathan.
"Charlotte! How the Heaven are ye? Good to see the winds o'Envy were fair enough to blow ye and yer... (he glances at Vaggie) pet our way."
— Leviathan greeting Charlie after the princess arrived at Hell-antis.
"Leviathan: And, aye, ye remember me darlin' lil' guppy, Helga?
Hellsa: (hushed) Hellsa!
Leviathan: Whatever.
Charlie: Yeeeeaahh, I remember Hellsa. (hushed) More than I'd like to admit...
Leviathan: Aye! (he pulls out a framed picture of Charlie and Hellsa hair-pulling and fighting, his expression cute and eyes sparkling as he marvels at the display) Ye two have been at each other's throats since ye were naught but ankle-biters. What tales ye must have; hair-pullin', bouts o'inferiority-induced bulimia, and all!
Bethesda: Hell School going up in flames.
Leviathan: Good times, indeed.
"
— Leviathan reintroducing Hellsa to Charlie.
"Seviathan: Good evening, father.
Leviathan: 'Father'? No 'my liege'? Not even a 'Yer Majesty'? How disrespectful.
"
— Seviathan and Leviathan greeting each other.
"Leviathan: Charlotte! Blast me barnacles, ye stumbled upon me shrine to the Dark Lord, Azathoth! Finally takin' an interest in the ancient ones, are ye?
Charlie: (awkwardly trying to shuffle away) Nooo, I just... wandered off. I should get going!
Leviathan: (he locks an arm around her) Find some spirit, lass! (he rummages through the shrine as Charlie awkwardly stands with a painted smile) Take a gander at these charred eyes o'Ol' St. Galant, who dared to look upon the secrets o'the Elders! (next, he pulls out a jar filled with slimy tentacles) And let me remind ye o'me o'the tentacle of o' Clulu, from which we et upon to gain a fraction o'his knowledge and power!
Charlie: (she looks absolutely horrified, her pupils shrunken) whut the fuck...
Leviathan: (shouting upwards, holding a book and putting a hand on Charlie's shoulder) Hark, Lord Azathoth, may ye lay yer curse upon this fair princess, granting her the infinite wisdom o'darkness and Creation! (he looks Charlie in the face)I tells ya, Charlotte, I be as wedded to Azathoth's teachings as a barnacle to a ship's hull. Tis the only thing what stirs any feelin' in me neathers...
Charlie: (she makes Leviathan unhand her) Ooooky, y'know what? You have fun with that, I think I heard Vaggie calling me!
"
— Leviathan shows Charlie his shrine to the Colossus.
"Leviathan: (he raises a chalice of red liquid) We feast in the glory of the mad Arab of Providence. We pray to the One True God. We pray to the Demon Sultan himself We pray to the blind idiot Azathoth. If his tumult should consume us, may he deign to permit our company in his murky web, the Dark Tapestry! Let his hideous name echo across Creation, and our thoughts be molted all... MAY MADNESS TAKE CREATION!!! (a massive burst of thunder roars outside the castle; Seviathan looks up at his father blankly; Bethesda is smiling at Leviathan with her hands clasped; Hellsa is on her phone not paying attention; Vaggie sits with her arms crossed; Charlie looks completely weirded out; Leviathan lets a disembodied, slimey tentacle take his chalice and slither over to Charlie, holding out the chalice for for a toast) 'Tis no sin to pay homage to the Shadowy Ones when the moon hangs high, lass. The Dark Ones always be forever seekin' fresh minds to immerse in their abyssal depths. And within me castle... I shall not accept heresy.
Charlie: (after a pause, Charlie nervously raises her glass, just going with the flow; her voice comes out as a squeaky, insincere whisper) may madness take creation.
"
— Leviathan's prayer to Azathoth before dinner.
"Leviathan: So, Charlotte, have ye heard the latest gossip? I know o'the Magne family and their fondness fer secrets. Out with it, lass.
Charlie: No, sorry, I try not to listen to that stuff. What's going on?
Leviathan: (he gazes into the ocean of Envy) The wind's o' Hell have changed. A band o'unruly angels may or may not have trespassed into Hell. As princess, ye wouldn't happen to have any insight into this peculiar turn o'events, would ye now?
Charlie: Well, even if that's true, I don't really see why it's such a problem.
Leviathan: Ye reckon ye don't? So, ye think it be all fine and dandy for angels to illegally break into our home dimension, do ye.
Charlie: ...Well, since we're putting words into each other's mouths... I just think it's a bit ridiculous that you and many others think demons and angels should just hate each other. If angels DID enter Hell and they don't mean any harm, what's there to worry about?
Leviathan: Angels be our natural foes, lass. They yearn for dominion over these rings, swoopin' down from Fiddler's Green to butcher our kind and yer subjects by the millions every year.
Charlie: Not all angels are like that, sir. I know it may be difficult to believe, but they really are thoughtful and want what's best for all of us.
Seviathan: The heir to the throne, ladies and gentlemen.
Leviathan: (shakes his head and laughs) I reckon we be just two demons from vastly different generations, lass. I might actually find meself pleased at this turn o'events. We Eldritch haven't savored the taste o'angelic flesh in many a moon...
Charlie: Well, wherever they are, I bet they're happy and realizing that demons aren't so bad after all!
Hellsa: (snickers) Satan, Charlotte, do you even hear yourself right now? Poor thing. Enlighten me, when was the last time your dad said he loved you? Not that you see him that much, y'know, after he disowned you.
Charlie: (to Hellsa) I wasn't disowned, Hellsa. My father just doesn't agree with some of my choices. I'm still the heir to the throne AND at a higher rank than you. And when was the last time your PARENTS said they loved you, hm?
Hellsa: (her eye twitches) Oh, you little fucking cun-
Leviathan: Who's hungry?! All this chatter and gossipin' about angels has rendered me quite... Starved.
"
— Charlie and Leviathan's conversation about angels.
"Servant: Sire, I've been informed the dinner with Princess Charlotte was unfortunately rather disastrous.
Leviathan: (he glares at the servant) Ye needn't remind me o'how a thing went when I was there to witness it meself, ye damned fool. Then again, mayhap I shouldn't have bothered with the invitation. ...I've always held to Lucifer's assertion 'bout the princess, that she'd quit lollygaggin' with that one-eyed dyke and accept Seviathan's hand. Yet, here we be. Every blasted year, like clockwork, I find meself robbed o'me potential as king.
Servant: Sire, are you no longer the sovereign of Envy?
Leviathan: Are ye hear to test me patience, perhaps? Ye know what I meant. Since the very begginin's o'Hell, I've been denied me rightful spot as the true king o'these rings all 'cause o' ol' Lucifer's greenhorn ways. And now... (he crushes his glass, fire erupting from his eyes) I'm bein' thwarted by his own spawn. Fiery pit! (he leans in his chair) Seems that cursed family takes pleasure in rubbin' salt in me wounds. Lucifer, that dog, slapped me with one measly ring, and now his offspring follows suit in denyin' me. Aye, the apple don't fall far from the tree, they say... I've had enough o'waitin' for Charlotte's supposed affection for that bilge-suckin' dyke to wither away. (he rises from his chair, walking over to a window displaying Envy's ocean) Fool that I be, I've tried playin' the nice, but me attempts at swaying her have gone belly-up. It be high time for action.
Servant: Sire, is that wise? This is borderline treasonous behavior! Maybe we could-
Leviathan: Mutiny, ye reckon...? (Leviathan summons a kraken-like tentacle, snaring the servant and bringing them close, green eyes spawning across his form) Nay, true treason be standin' idle as I've done for too long! I be the master o'the Von Eldritch bloodline. We don't beg like starvin' dogs, we seize what be rightfully ours! Have ye forgotten who ye address? (he chuckles, grinning monstrously and baring his sharp teeth) Let me jog yer memory.
Servant: Sire, Your Highness, my greatest apologies! It was foolish o'me to question your position! I'm sorry! I- I- I'm so very- (Leviathan constricts him with the tentacle and hurls the servant into the glass walls of the castle with enough force to reduce the servant to a red paste)
Leviathan: Lady Bethesda?
Bethesda: Yes?
Leviathan: Summon the pets to clean up this mess.
Bethesda: As you wish. (Bethesda claps her hands, summoning three demonic crocodile-like creatures who devour what is left of the servant's remains)
Leviathan: (sits upon his throne, staring into the sea of Envy) For eons untold, I've haunted the seven seas. No beast o'the brine nor foolhardy sailor dared stray into the abyss, lest the Leviathan snuff out their pitiful lives. It be time to reignite that dread, savvy? In honor o'the Elders. (to another, trembling servant) Fetch Seviathan! If Charlotte won't bend to our will, we'll resort to more ancient customs.
"
— Leviathan decides to take extreme actions to ensure Charlie's compliance.
"And remember, children, if at first, ye don't succeed... Execute the witnesses."
— Leviathan to Seviathan and Hellsa in a flashback, before sending them off on a play date with Charlie.
"Seviathan: Father..?
Leviathan: Back from yer dalliance so soon? How did y'fail this time?
Seviathan: No! I didn't fail-
Leviathan: (chuckles) Only joshin', lad. Looks like ye ain't a total lost cause after all.
Seviathan: Father, there's something we need to discuss. It's about Charlie.
Leviathan: That so? (chuckles) Alright. Ye have me interest. Out with it, lad.
Seviathan: The princess and I... We're... She trusts me again.
Leviathan: (he raises an eyebrow) Ye dog! (he cackles) Why didn't ye start with that?! Do elaborate, lad!
Seviathan: Actually... It's not like that. We're... Friends again... I guess.
Leviathan: ...'Friends'? (he lets out a long laugh, before abruptly stopping with an expressionless face) ...Yer serious, ain't ya, boy? (he glares at Seviathan) Ye have her hook, line, and sinker, boy. Don't continue to be our weakest link. Ye only be makin' 'friends' only to lure in lesser souls for yer own gain. Even yer sister knows this. Might there be an ulterior motive lurkin' in the depths of yer schemes?"
Seviathan: Father, please listen... When me and Charlie were together, you know, when we were young, I was always so happy with her. She showed me friendship and... love? I never knew or felt such things before. Maybe there's another around this. We could bring our families together again before it's too late! We don't have to be at odds forever!
Leviathan: (he has a look on his face as if Seviathan said the most sacrilegious thing ever; he slaps Seviathan brutally) 'Friends'? 'Friendship'? LOVE?!
Seviathan: (he falls to the ground, a look of terror on his face) No, listen! I'm so sorry!! I shouldn't have said-
Leviathan: Love only leads to misery, boy! (a tentacle wraps around Seviathan's neck, choking him) Ye know damn well. And how DARE (he slams Seviathan into the ground with the tentacle, nearly shattering the floors) ye presume y'know anything about virtues or friendship. All ye knows be what I says ye are to know. I am yer lord, and Azathoth be yer master. We are the only beings y'are to show loyalty towards, and yer heart only beats for bein' used in me DESIGNS!
Seviathan: (he writhes on the ground after the tentacles harshly drops him) I- I fucked up... Please, PLEASE, don't let me die. I can make it up... I'm sorr--
Leviathan: (he looks down at Seviathan, shaking his head) Look at ye, tremblin' like a lost pup beggin' for scraps. All ye had to do was tie the knot with the princess and bolster our families' grip on Hell. Yet at every turn, ye stumbled and fell flat on yer mug. (he viciously grabs Seviathan by the chin, burying his claws into Seviathan's cheeks in the process) Not only that, ye fell for a lass who'd sooner sail the high seas with a dyke than settle down with ye. Ye be our family's greatest failure. Our weakest chain. How in the blazes did a god like me... end up raisin' a pansy such as ye? (he shakes his head before exiting the throne room, leaving Seviathan to weep softly on the ground)
"
— Seviathan confronts Leviathan after his night out with Charlie.
"Leviathan: (holding the sea dog) Lad... Might I ask what this is?
Seviathan: Father?! I- I can explain-
Leviathan: Yer sister stumbled upon this... childish trinket while rummagin' through yer quarters. Could it be ye've been sneakin' half yer grub to this sorry excuse for a pet? Ye keepin' it as... a pet, mayhaps?"
Seviathan: ...Tch, you have it all wrong, father! That... thing wandered into my room! Don't assume so little of me! It's unbecoming!
Leviathan: (grins) Oh? Then I reckon ye won't mind if I... (Leviathan squeezes his claws into the dog's skin, causing it to squirm and whimper in pain; Seviathan becomes visibly uneasy) There it is... So, y'were trying to care for it. (Seviathan hangs his head, Leviathan approaches him and makes Seviathan face him) Never spew lies at me again, boy. ...Why'd ye burden yerself with the task of lookin' after such a pitiful, sorry thing? Like some daft lass, ye were.
Seviathan: M- Me and Charlie found it. It was hurt. I wasn't going to keep it, I- I just wanted to-
Leviathan: If it were wounded, ye should've let it meet its end. Better yet, cast it to trenches, says I. Clearly, it ain't got the mettle for this dark world, and 'tain't our duty to coddle the weak. (Leviathan passes the dog to Seviathan) Let's make an example outta this blunder. (he chuckles darkly) End it, boy.
Seviathan: (he stares at the dog, who whimpers at him; with tears in his eyes) F- father... I can't-
Leviathan: (his eyes glow green, his voice booming) Kill it, says I!!! If ye aim to be the Prince of Hell, ye must grasp that only by yer strength, yer decree, should things persist in yer realm. Fail to purge the feeble from yer realm, and ye ain't fit to bear the crown. Tell me... are ye WEAK, lad'? (Seviathan, after several seconds of trembling, closes his eyes and begins slowly strangling the dog the death as tears stream down his eyes, all while Leviathan grins with satisfaction)
"
— Leviathan and Seviathan in a flashback, depicting Leviathan forcing the latter to kill an injured seadog he found as a child.
"What d'ye take this place for, Fiddler's Green? This be Hell. Love be naughty but a fairy tale here. The world's a savage pit, unjust and harsh, where folk fend for themselves. Kindness be the crutch o'the feeble, doomed to perish without ever knowin' true might. And power, lad, power be all that counts."
— Leviathan to Seviathan in a flashback, berating his son for repeating Charlie's advice.
"(chuckles) Amusing, isn't it? Like sheep clamorin' for a shepherd's crook. With naught but a notion 'our unbreakable minds, we wield the power to bend billions o'oceanic souls to our whims."
— Leviathan to Seviathan in a flashback, teaching the latter how to manipulate oceanic creatures.
"I'll not tolerate ye fraternizin' with that attention-cravin' wretch. 'Tis nauseatin' and disgraceful."
— Leviathan to Seviathan in a flashback after he returned from visiting Octavia.
"Leviathan: Gorgeous view, ain't it?
Blitzø: Hold on a fuckin' minute... (squints his eyes) Are you...
Leviathan: The Leviathan himself, that indeed be me. (he chuckles and stands beside Blitzø) I see you and yer companions are taking full advantage o'Mammal's Night. Y'know, me son owns this establishment.
Blitzø: (chuckles nervously) Yeah, I couldn't tell with his name being... Everywhere.
Leviathan: (after an awkward silence) I know who y'are.
Blitzø: Well, Your Highness, that's not very surprising. I am the founder of I.M.P. We're kinda famous, m'kay?
Leviathan: ...Who?
Blitzø: I.M- Oh, forget it. (he continues looking at Moxxie and Millie from the balcony)
Leviathan: (he laughs) I reckon a lowly cockroach like yerself ain't very renowned at all, but if that's the fairy tale ye deign to spin, who be I to crush yer dreams? Then again, yer name has been rattlin' round the rumor mill ever since yer dalliance with Prince Stolas. Stirred up quite the tempest among the gosspin' crowd. Made for some mighty interestin' chitchat and gossip, and the like.
Blitzø: How do you-
Leviathan: Ye truly believed Asmodeus wouldn't spill the beans to me and me fellow highborn the moment he got wind o'that mess?
Blitzø: Oh, yeah... That.
Leviathan: Ye be a curious one, no doubt. I ain't one to usually rub elbows with yer kind, but I be intrigued... Tell me, how does it feel? Yer love life, yer mates, all turnin' to naught but a punchline? (Blitzø begins sadly and bitterly looking at Moxxie and Millie from the balcony) I've heard the tales. Yer an open open, lad. Ye envied the attention Ms. Mayday garnered, so ye treated her ill out o'spite. Yer best mate deserted ye 'cause deep down, he knew an imp-run joint was folly, doomed to flop like a fish out'a water. (he grins evilly as Blitzø stares off into the distance) Ye covet what they possess, aye? I can see it in yer gaze. The green-eyed monster, that envy... But ye've driven away any soul who deigned cared for ye. Now yer're saddled with a Goetia who treats ye like a sex toy. But ye've tried to make amends by takin' in some wayward mutt and paradin' yer mates as yer 'family'. (his smirk turns cruel) But we all know, eventually, they'll abandon ye too. They reckon yer're useless, witless. Just like Fizzarolli and yer ma did. And once they've deserted ye, mayhaps ye'll face reality, realizin' ye'll always be alone. And that's how ye'll meet yer end; alone.
"
— Leviathan's conversation with Blitzø at Seviathan's club, The Deep End.
"A magnificent sight, ain't it, lads?! (the hotel crew turn to Leviatha, who emerges from the shadows) I wager ye lot must be puzzled by this peculiar monument o' mine. Allow me to shed some light... When Azathoth granted me a wondrous boon, he demanded a sacrifice in return: the tears o'living things what were denied life. So, when Lady Bethesda consented to bear me offspring, we spawned thousands, in the secrecy o'these very trenches. When they hatched, they bursted with life; eager little things, wantin' no more than to swim off and explore the void. ...I held 'em in me claws and squeezed every drop o'that life force as tribute to the Great One. 'Twas nothin' short of euphoric. Only a handful o'souls, mind ye, but as ye can see, I became quite enamored. (he chuckles darkly as the crew looks completely horrified) Ah, but then, along came little Charlotte. For all her foolishness and the vigor o'youth, she taught me there's more to gain from our kin than merely killing 'em. And so, I spared a lucky pair and molded 'em to me will. And, well... Ye all know how that tale unfurled."
— Leviathan to Vaggie, Angel Dust, Husk, Fergus, and Cherri Bomb explaining his motivations after they discovered the remains of his children.
"Charlie: Listen, sir, I know you've always wanted me to marry your son. A- And I don't blame you! He's a great guy and he'll always be my friend, but... But, that's just it. My heart belongs to Vaggie. And I know that if there is any goodness in you, you'll understand. Do you...?
Leviathan: (he shakes his head, grinning and loudly closing an ancient-looking book) Goodness? (he laughs and sneers) I care not fer these follies of 'good and evil' notions what man bandy about. There be power and there be not. And those who lack the power to claim it are fools. Yer heart belongs to Vaggie, ye reckon? (he laughs as Charlie glowers at him) We both know she be far from a suitable consort. Ye took pity on that lowly demonette, castin' aside that she's a worthless mortal soul, and a woman, no less. There's nothing she can offer ye that could compare to the power that would be offered by weddin' into the Von Eldritch line. This wedding be happenin' today, whether ye want it or not.
Charlie: You... you bastard! I love Vaggie, more than anyone else in the world, more than anyone could EVER love anyone! And she's not a 'worthless mortal soul', just a lost one! I don't need anyone else or their power! And neither does Sev!
Leviathan: Aye, 'Sev'... Seems yer bond has been mended. (chuckles) But, ye see, even though ye might reckon I can't coerce ye, what with yer lofty rank compared to mine... I've got me own little trump card, lass: leverage.
Charlie: What are you talking about...? What kind of leverage?
Leviathan: (he begins circling her) A mere few hours past, yer mates had the gall to sneak into me castle, on some futile quest to find ye. And aye, yer supposed 'one true love' was among 'em. Let me make this crystal clear: a band'o sinners trespassed into me domain. Even if ye sent 'em an invite, they breached me fortress without proper clearance. There's gotta be consequences for such actions. But, bein' the gracious soul I is, I'll offer ye a choice. If ye comply and wed Seviathan by day's end, I'll let 'em go, unharmed. Refuse his hand? ...Well, then I'll have no choice but to put 'em to the sword. (he stops circling her as Charlie looks like she's about to go OFF; she looks feral, her eyes red and hair waving in a wind that she seems to be producing with her own anger) Do we have a deal...? (a pause; Charlie enters her Full Demon Form and lunges at Leviathan, slamming and pinning him against a wall while grabbing him by the neck and growling demonically) Charlotte, mark me words, this be a foolhardy choice. (eyes appear along Leviathan's body, his teen growing so large they split the sides of his mouth) UNHAND me this instant.
Charlie: I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU, YOU BASTARD!!! (the room is ablaze with her fury) YOU WANNA FUCK WITH MY FRIENDS?! Then BRING IT!!!
Leviathan: What be yer move, then?! Will ye kill me and seal the doom o'yer allies?! (he speaks in a demonic tone) Think about yer next move carefully. (Charlie stares at Leviathan hatefully, slowly shifting back to normal and releasing him) Hmph... y'see? Leverage.
Charlie: You're willing to kill my friends just because I don't want to marry your son?! Why are you doing this?! For power?! I know you've always wanted my father's throne, but stoop to this?! Isn't Envy enough?
Leviathan: (chuckles) Nay, lass. It never were enough. I've watched ye grow since ye were a babe, Charlotte. I ken yer'e foremost a creature o'empathy... and stubbornness. I've deciphered every line o'ye. Them's true. I AM truth. And the truth be that I'll always win, for yer less of a demon than I. If hurtin' those ye hold dear be the only way to bend ye to me will, then so be it. (with Charlie in submission, he strides past her and begins leaving the room) I'll be expectin' ye ready for the wedding within the hour. Oh, and I reckon the green dress'll suit ye best. 'Twas always Seviathan's favorite. (he chuckles darkly as he exits the room)
"
— Charlie confronts Leviathan.
"What if... I stripped ye o'everythin' ye hold close? What if I obliterated all that ye love? Crushed yer spirit till ye were but a hollow shell, with every cherished moment reduced to ashes in yer mouth? Would that not be a wonderful nightmare?"
— Leviathan to Charlie.
"HAHAHAAA!!! Behold, me true form! Centuries have passed since I last felt this might! I've ascended beyond even Lucifer! AHHAAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!"
— Leviathan to the hotel crew and I.M.P upon assuming his true form.
"HAHAHAHA-HAHAHA!!! Eager to die? I'll tear yer souls asunder and offer the scraps to the harpies of the abyss!! AAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"
— Leviathan while fighting the hotel crew and I.M.P.
"Even yyerour strongest weapons are toys to me!"
— Leviathan after I.M.P's holy firearms had no effect on him.
"Would ye look at that! Three wee angels! So the whispers in the wind hold truth! (he chases Collin, Keenie, and Cletus) HAHAHAHA! Fly, little angels, fly! (singsongy) I'll eaaaaat youuuuuuuu!! HAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!!"
— Leviathan terrorizing the C.H.E.R.U.B
"Awww!! Ye think ye can cower from me up there? (he summons lightning to strike Collin) THINK AGAIN!!"
— Leviathan mocking the C.H.E.R.U.B when they attempted to fly out of his reach.
"Is this yer wee pal? AAHAHAHHAAAAA!!! Fear not, I'll let ye pluck his flesh from me teeth!"
— Leviathan taunting Keenie and Cletus while forcing them to watch as he devours Collin.
"Such brave faces! Don't be shy! SHOW ME YER FEAR!"
— Leviathan taunting his opponents.
"I'll dye the sea crimson with yer blood and bathe in it!"
— Leviathan taunting the hotel crew and I.M.P.
"I will savor chewing yer bones and entrails!"
— Leviathan to the hotel crew and I.M.P.
"HAHAHAHAHAAAA!!! Don't stop now! Unless ye want to get eaten!!! AHAHAHAHA!!!"
— Leviathan taunting Blitzø while chasing him.
"Hiding, are we? HAHAHAHA! I can smell yer imp blood... So fresh!"
— Leviathan while hunting Blitzø.
"Charlotte... You're... An angel?! ...Hehehe-HAHAHAHAHA!!! You'll be tastin' even sweeter now!"
— Leviathan after seeing Charlie's angelic wings.
"IT'S TOO LATE! Thousands of yer kin are perishin' with each tick of the clock, swallowed up and condemned to oblivion by the tides! YOU'VE LOST CHARLOTTE!"
— Leviathan while fighting Charlie.
"Do ye hear it, Charlotte? Millions of yer cherished subjects wailin' for succor? Gaspin' for breath as bilge and sea foam consume their essence? Ye brought this damnation upon 'em by denyin' me rightful place as king!"
— Leviathan taunting Charlie.
"AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Poor, little Charlotte! Even with yer father's power, you are still WEAK! HAHAHAHA-AHAHAHAHA!!!"
— Leviathan after defeating Charlie.
"KILL THEM!!! You dare disobey yer king?! Yer GOD?! DISGUSTING LITTLE MAGGOTS!!! YOU'LL DIE FOR THIS, WORTHLESS SCUM!!!"
— Leviathan to the sea creatures of the Envy Ring after Seviathan summoned them to attack him.
"DAMN YOU, IMP FILTH!!! DAMN YOU!!!!!"
— Leviathan's final words before being slain by Millie.

Chapter 5

"A noose? Did ye truly think that feeble contraption of man could snuff out yer existence? Of course ye didn't, but ye thought it worth a try, aye? Anythin' to elude yer fate ordained by the great Azathoth. Ye don't get to shuffle off this mortal coil till after ye wed the princess. After that, I'll gladly gift ye with a blessed pistol. ...No soul is to catch wind of this mishap. Belay these theatrics. Quit bein' dramatic and put an end to these pitiful bids to evade yer destiny."
— Leviathan in a flashback, taunting and berating Seviathan after he attempted to commit suicide.
"Stolas: Ah, King Leviathan. (Stolas bows in greeting, smiling wide as he extends his hand as a gesture of greeting) It has been quite a while since I last beheld your presence. How fare you, my King of Envy?
Leviathan: (he snarls at Stolas' gesture) Ye reckon I'd deign to rub shoulders with one who... fraternizes with the common folk? And of the same gender, no less. Ye're a bold one, Stolas. Bein' of royal blood, I'll be civil enough to indulge in this discourse. But mark me words, it'll be a brief encounter.
Stolas: (he narrows his eyes and lowers his arm) I would caution your tongue, Your Highness. I am not one who tolerates being belittled or insulted, even by my superiors. So I would advise you to mind your manners when speaking of me.
Leviathan: Ye dare bark commands at a Sin, a superior being, as though I were some lowly serf?! I'll tolerate no insults from anyone! No one! Ye'll beg forgiveness this instant, or I'll grind ye and yer entire bloodline to dust. Cast ye all into the depths like chum.
Stolas: (his eyes glow bright) I am the Prince of the Ars Goetia, the right hand of King Paimon himself. And you will address me as such, regardless of our titles! (the entire right side of his body morphs into his Full Demon Form) Now, you apologize. Or else I will force an apology out of you, King of Envy.
Leviathan: (multiple eyes and teeth sprout throughout his body) Ye dare demand an apology from a Von Eldritch! Ye've no clue how fortunate ye are that I hold back me wrath and discipline. I could rend ye to shreds with a flick of me tentacles, and mayhaps I still will. Clearly, Paimon taught ye many lessons, but respect for yer superiors was not among 'em. Go on then, lad... Try and wring that apology out of me.
Stolas: (Stolas and Leviathan have an intense stare down; after ten solid seconds, Stolas returns to normal, knowing he is looking into the eyes of a monster) Fine... I yield. (Leviathan smirks and goes to walk away) You’ve made a very powerful enemy tonight, King of Envy.
Leviathan: (he turns back to Stolas, furious) Do not dare to address me in such a manner again, says I! Playin' me adversary would imply ye possess any sort of challenge to me. Ye don't deserve yer title as 'prince', for ye've shown yerself to be no different from the common trash. I'll grant ye a second chance, but I won't abide by this a second time. Should ye fail to show me the respect I be owed, I'll offer ye nothin' but the same disrespect in return.
Stolas: (he dusts himself) Very well. But, know this... If you cross me again, King of Envy, I will not forgive you again.
Leviathan: Belay these petty threats, lesser one. I've devoured angels before ye were fertilizin' from yer egg. I am superior to ye in every way. Ye lack the capacity to surpass me in any such regard! ...But... yer impudence intrigues me. What delusion leads ye to believe ye stand a chance against me?
Stolas: (he looks down before glaring at Leviathan) I am a prince and commander of Hell's imp caste, the second-in-command to the King of the Goetia himself: Paimon. I am a skilled mage and warrior worthy of Lucifer's favor and council. If you are not careful, it will only take a single mistake for me to end you.
Leviathan: (he grins maliciously) At long last, yer words carry weight. I've a proposition for ye. What if we were to unite our strengths? Together, we could seize control of all Hell, overthrow Lucifer, and then set our sights on Heaven until all creation bows to our will. I swear to ye, as me ally, ye'll find yerself far more esteemed than as me enemy.
Stolas: (he narrows his eyes) So, my dreams were correct. You desire the throne of Lucifer.
Leviathan: (laughs) Even yer dreams lack foresight. I've always been a superior, worthier king than that manchild. I'll indeed strip him of his throne, but I've grander designs. I won't settle for dominion over just Hell. I shall reign supreme over all realms. And mark me words, this may be yer final opportunity for salvation, says I.
Stolas: This... May be a tempting proposal, my liege. (he ponders the possibilities) What exactly would it entail? If we were to join forces, I wish for you to provide me with a list of expectations.
Leviathan: (he chuckles) The terms of our alliance are clear: Ye'll bend the knee to me. Ye'll carry out me every whim without question. Together, we'll crush any soul or obstacle in our path. There'll be no defiance from ye. None of that questioning of me authority. To accept yer role, ye need only swear allegiance to me. And these terms extend to yer family as well. Ye'll all relinquish yer loyalty to Lucifer and pledge it to me. Simple enough directives for lowly beings such as yerselves. Do we have a deal, o' prince?
Stolas: (he glares at Leviathan) You dare to call the Ars Goetia lowborn?
Leviathan: Compared to meself, indeed y'ar. I am a Sin, but more pressingly, I am the most high apostle of Azathoth. You are a lowborn compared to me. Them's true
Stolas: Either way, I am not your subject or slave, King of Envy. I refuse to serve any being, besides Lucifer and Paimon. To even suggest that I would bend the knee to you is... Insulting. (he rolls his eyes) That being said... I have a counter-offer. How about we make an equal alliance? We both work together towards mutual benefits and goals?
Leviathan: (he bursts into laughter) Ye believe anyone, especially ye, be equal to me?! Ye reckon I'd lower meself to yer level? I'd gain naught from that. I be the one leadin' the charge here, and I've bestowed upon ye information only I should possess. (his expression darkens) So, ye'll either submit and pledge yer allegiance, or I'll consign yer soul to the abyss of the Dark Tapestry, and make ye watch as I subject yer daughter to unimaginable torment, makin' her plead for death, weepin' and wailin' for mercy, wonderin' where her daddy be to rescue her. Both of ye will face yer worst nightmares and beg fer a death that'll never come. THAT shall be the fate of all once I ascend me throne. ...Which will it be?
Stolas: (Stolas’ eyes glow brighter as a rage unlike anything ever washes over him; he shifts into his Full Demon Form, the stars seeming to descend from the sky, red lightning shooting from all directions, and an eclipse blocking the moon) I will NEVER serve you. (he gets face-to-face with Leviathan, who stares at him coldly) And if you dare harm my daughter, I swear to all that is unholy, I will dedicate my existence to ensure that it will be THE LAST THING YOU EVER DO.
Leviathan: ....So ye opt for option B? How disappointingly predictable of ye. (he begins exiting the room as Stolas remains in his Full Demon Form) Here's a prophecy for ye, on the house. We'll discover soon enough if ye can make good on these threats, O' Prince. (he chuckles) And it will be a sight to behold. (Leviathan consumes himself in green fire and vanishes, leaving Stolas to compose himself)
"
— Leviathan and Stolas' confrontation, a day before Leviathan's attack on Hell.

Short Stories

"Leviathan: (he enters the Magne family chambers, straightening his tie as he approaches Lilith) Yer Highness! Cursed one is me to have happened upon one so fair upon these eldritch eyes...
Lilith: (she nods in acknowledgement) Envy King. (she turns back to what she is doing, which gives off the impression that Leviathan is insignificant to her)
Leviathan: (he walks around until he is back in her gaze) I wish to share some of me tributes with ye! Come a fortnight, Clulu itself will descend upon the Inferno, bulging and bursting minds to get a glimpse of the fruits of our labor! (he summons a slimy tentacle to pour Lilith more tea, as if cozying up to her)
Lilith: (Lilith, having none of it, turns away from the tentacle) For Satan's sake, put that away, Levi. Is it too tremendous for men to accomplish things with their own two hands?
Leviathan: (he looks mildly infuriated by what Lilith said, three eldritch eyes appearing on the side of his head; he awkwardly picks up the tea kettle, and it's clear that he's never poured a kettle in his life) I assure ye, Your Highness, I be more than capable of handlin' things with me two hands. In fact... (his grin returns and he fixes his suit) 'Tis only recently that I sacrificed endleofan imp babes in Azathoth's name. Though they be young, their tears o' pain were more than sufficient to quench the ancient one's lustful rage, until he hungers again.
Lilith: (she seems mildly amused) You are truly a sick man, Levi. But if you have managed to bridge communication with the Old Ones, I might just consider you useful, for once.
Leviathan: (he sits in the regal chair next to her) Oh, my Queen, bridgin' be only the start o' what we eldritch can achieve.
Lilith: You're quite conniving. Even a little 'shellfish'. (Leviathan looks quite confused by Lilith's pun, since she never really jokes around) But one thing I will respect is that you are a man with a brain, or so it seems, rather than just another mindless sycophant or lust-driven fool ready to throw themselves at me. It IS refreshing, perhaps even admirable... (she gives Leviathan bedroom eyes) Keep me updated on your progress, won't you?
Leviathan: (he chuckles lowly, more eldritch eyes appearing) I be lookin' forward to yer decision... Ye could be an eldritch queen... Beside Lady Bethesda, o'course. We eldritch kings require many a consort. Easier to spread our dreadful spawn...
Lilith: I'm sure you do. Your... dedication is admirable, in its own disgusting way. Now, enough dilly-dallying. Return to your silly tributes... and I'll be there in two pentagram moons to see your work.
Leviathan: (he tips his hat with a shit-eating grin) I'll be sure to present to you all my tributes and horrors, Yer Highness. Until then, I'll work on gatherin' more sacrifices to Azathoth. 'Till next time... (Leviathan walks backwards into a nearby jacuzzi, vanishing into the waters)
"Lilith": ... ("Lilith" suddenly shifts forms, revealing her to be Lucifer the entire time) HA-HA!!! Like the little trout he is! Hook, line, and sinker!!!
Lilith: (the real Lilith appears almost mystically from behind a curtain, approaching Lucifer) There's my silly husband... Always stirring trouble.
Lucifer: Why, whatever do you mean? I'm a perfectly respectable ruler of Hell - I haven't been mischievous at all! I'll have you know I watered the fireplace, mowed the parking lot, and told the ducks to clog TWO toilets instead of three! But this... This is gonna be the most delightfully devilish April Fool's trick in Hell!!! The look on his and Bethesda's faces, ooh! I can't wait to taste those salty, eldritch tears!!! How was my You, by the way? Was it TOO fucky-wucky? Should I play up the 'hard-to-get'? I figured to play along juuust enough to get his one-eyed eel all electrified and outta the burrow-
Lilith: As long as you prolong Levi's shock and emotional anguish, you can posture me as you please. However... (she trails her fingers on her shoulders and neck) I know it's not my body... (she grips Lucifer's bow tie, pulling him close, her silver eyes glowing) But if you let his tentacles touch my hips, I swear to fucking Satan...-
Lucifer: (reassuringly touching Lilith's hand) If he even HUMORS the idea, then I hope he can generate his appendages, 'cuz I will slice one off with your stilettos.
Lilith: (leaning into Lucifer) Make it two.
Lucifer: The more the merrier! (they kiss passionately; as they do so, Lucifer pulls out his smartphone, looking off at it to the side and snapping a photo of them; he texts it to Asmodeus with the caption "HOW'S THIS FOR A NEW TALMUD, COCK BLOCK 🐍🐍🐍💋💋"; he does this all while still kissing Lilith)

— Lucifer's trick on Leviathan.

???

"Lucifer: (He prances into the Sins' temple, leaping into his throne with a spin, looking upon the other Sins while kicked back. He grins, speaking like a dad asking his children how their day went.) How's my five favorite sin-namon rolls doing?! (to Leviathan) Hey, Levi. I slipped a lil' somethin' (Whispering, pointing under Leviathan's throne) under your chair. It's a note about the things I have and you don't. (He shoots a wink at Leviathan.)
Leviathan: (Glaring at Lucifer, Levi has one of his tentacles retrieve the 'note', holding it up for him to see) ...This be a 30-page document.
"
— Lucifer bullying Leviathan.
"Leviathan: (Laughing spitefully at the other Sins.) It be mildly amusin', ye lot speakin' on matters which you don’t understand. But mark me words... I'll be laughin' at ye by the Blind Idiot's side as ye and all of the Inferno are lapped up in the darkness of the Dread-
Mammon: (He comes hurdling into the room, knocking Leviathan to the ground.) OI, ₵UNT$! Anyone know how to $pell 'AUD'???
"
— Leviathan swears to kill the Sins.
"Leviathan: (looking over at Mammon, who is ravenously eating chimpkin nuggets) Ye been sendin' more bandits into Envy, clown?
Mammon: (looks over at Leviathan, a nugget hanging from his mouth) Ha! How fuckin' long it take ya to find out, shrimp boy?
Leviathan: Not too long... Yer crew proved to be quite the squealers when I had hold of 'em. They woulda done ANYTHIN' to live, even spillin' all yer beans ta me...
Mammon: (enraged) You didn't...
Leviathan: (chuckles darkly) Spare me. Ye be the one sendin' them on a ill-fated voyage, pillagin' spoils of Envy what be mine alone... But, ye did give me some fools to make an example of, so I should be thankin' ye.
Mammon: (he gets up from his chair, angry) How bloody DARE YOU!!! Tho$e men... Tho$e BLOODY ₵UNT$ OWED ME 500 $QUID!!! THAT'S 500 $QUID I'LL NEVER $EE!!!
Leviathan: Then you BEST (the sides of his mouth split into large teeth, eyes appearing on his body as he sizes Mammon up) keep yer paltry men out of me ring, or ye won't be livin' to see any of your precious riches again.
Mammon: That a fuckin' threat, little mermaid?! Why don't ya crawl back up Azathoth's bumhole, fuckwit?!
Leviathan: (the tentacles on his tailcoat extend and slam onto the stone ground, leaving massive cracks) I'd watch that tongue of yers, ye blubberin' clown, or I'll have it cut from yer mouth and fed to the fish. (he practically headbutts Mammon; eldritch tone) So why don't ye crawl yer way over to a SALAD and gorge yerself 'till ya don't bring down our image, ye useless, pathetic, capitalistic SWINE?!?!
Asmodeus: (calmly looking over at them while counting Lucifer's rubber ducks) Ahem... Mind taking your tea party elsewhere? It's hard enough countin' all of Luci's rubber ducks... again. Or you could start hate-fucking. (he grins slyly) That's be pretty entertaining.
"
— Leviathan confronts Mammon.
"Izzi: Oi... Let's team up an' 'ave a go at them hotel c****, shall we, mates?
Adina: (to Izzi) Ah, a sinful proposition indeed! I don't like dilly-dallying in the presence of you beasts for too long. (musing; playful) Buuut, then again, I suppose you're not the only sinner I've collaborated with...
Valentino: (to Adina) That's what they always say, baby. But, when you get to know us, you come to enjoy our 'presence'... Whether ya like it or not.
Leviathan: (to Izzi) Still lobbing around those foolish, infantile instrument of destruction, Izzi? It's like you half-simian souls never evolved past throwing your own dung. There is no artistry in a mere explosion. Senseless slaughter is a delicate, sacred art that requires finesse. It's about the process of inflicting suffering, not the end result...
Larson: (INSANE, UNINTELLIGIBLE LAUGHTER)
Adina: (to Larson) Hehehe! ...I'm gonna need some hot coals for that filthy mouth of yours.

Quotes Pertaining to Leviathan

"It was nearly impossible to impress my father. He was never impressed by his children. My life was governed by his rules. And if I spoke out of turn, if I didn't toe the line, well... Let's just say he is not a forgiving being. He always said I would only have his favor if I eloped with Charlie. And I believed him. Every single word he said. He craved power. All I ever wanted was a 'well done'."
— Seviathan during his inner monologue.
"In hindsight, Levi wasn't all that bad. At the very least, his no-nonsense ass made for good fun. He was like the emo kid who just sat in the back. We poke fun at him, he says he's gonna kill us all and then we just laugh at him."
— Asmodeus about Leviathan while talking about Mammon.

Trivia

  • He is based on one of the three beasts of Earth of the same name. In the Hebrew Bible in the Book of Job, the leviathan is a beast of darkness and chaos that takes the form of a gigantic sea serpent.
    • In Binsfeld's classification of demons, Leviathan is depicted as one of the seven Princes of Hell and represents the sin of Envy. Likewise, Leviathan in this story served as the king of the Envy Ring.
    • The Leviathan Cross, a real-life occult symbol associated with Leviathan and Satan, is decorated on some of the windows in the Von Eldritch family castle and serves as the families' sigil. The symbol is also decorated along the walls of Seviathan's nightclub, The Deep End. It can also occasionally be seen on the center of Charlie's bowtie, most noticeably when Vaggie is fixing it in "That's Entertainment".
  • His theme song would either be "Emperor's New Clothes" by Panic! At the Disco or "Sway" by Michael Bublé.
  • Each of the Ringleaders are themed after a particular circus performance; in Leviathan's case, he represents high-divers.
    • Each Ringleader is also themed after a particular genre of music, Leviathan's being emo, hardcore punk and swing music.
  • Leviathan in this story replaces Frederick von Eldritch, the patriarch of the von Eldritch in the canon version of Hazbin Hotel.
  • Has never said it out loud... but the fact that Seviathan looks so much like Lucifer pisses him tf off.
  • As shown on Blitzø's phone at the end of the Helluva Boss episode "Ozzie's", there is an app parodying the real-life online app, TikTok, named "Envee". On the app's logo, Leviathan is represented by two faces, one that is smiling and one that is scowling. This is most likely alluding to his nature of appearing to be a friendly, trustworthy and supportive figure when in reality he is devious and wicked, hating everyone who has what he does not possess.
  • He genuinely thinks seeing people suffer and lose their minds is hilarious and thinks disturbing people is funny, but outside of that, he has almost no sense of humor.
  • His desire for Lucifer's throne is a bit of an open secret in Hell's society, though Leviathan himself thinks everyone is unaware.
  • The kind of guy who will just learn about something, and then one second after he will hate that something as if he always did.
  • According to Bethesda, Leviathan was an expert tap dancer.
  • There is a district in Envy named after him called Levitowne.
  • Leviathan's scales were his pride. They were shut tightly as if with a seal, one was so near another that no air could come between them. They were joined one to another, and could not be parted or destroyed by even weapons of holy property.
  • A Lovecraft fanboy.
  • Whenever Leviathan is sufficiently pissed, he grows teeth and eyeballs throughout his body, and the sides of his mouth split apart to form teeth.
  • Despite frequently berating his son with homophobic slurs, it is unclear if Leviathan was ever actually aware of Seviathan's sexuality, as the prince would certainly keep such a thing a secret from his father, and had only ever shown romantic feelings for Cal. Leviathan could have picked up on it from potentially watching Seviathan and Cal, or Hellsa could have informed him. Alternatively, Leviathan might have employed homophobic language solely as a psychological strategy to degrade his son, regardless of his awareness of Seviathan's actual orientation (also, it's so fucking funny that Leviathan is homophobic, while his son is gay, his daughter is bi, and his wife is a lesbian who only slept with him for power, and motherfucker's presumably oblivious to 1/3 of these lmaooo, sucks for him. it's rough out here but someone's gotta do it).
  • Leviathan enjoyed collecting vintage water, as he kept a private, large stockpile of water from ancient times within the chambers of his castle. Among these reserves are hints of water dating back to historical events like the Genesis flood and Noah's Ark. At a certain juncture, Vaggie disclosed to Charlie that Leviathan's attachment to his water collection appeared to exceed his concern for his own offspring.
    • In "The Green Wedding", it is revealed that one of the water containers within his stockpile was actually a hidden lever that revealed the entrance to where Leviathan preserved the bodies of his children, explaining why the King of Envy was protective of the collection and revealing that it was a front to hide his darkest secret.
  • He is the first major antagonist, as well as the first member of the Seven Deadly Sins, to die in the series.
    • It was originally Belphegor who had that title until it was revealed that Belphegor survived the destruction of his robotic body in Chapter 4, being revealed as an AI in Chapter 5.
