- "Oh, crumbs!"
- — Moxxie's catchphrase whenever danger is afoot.
Moxxie Knolastname is a supporting antagonist in Hazbin Hotel: Journey to the Light.
He serves as a background character in Chapter 1, a supporting antagonist-turned-protagonist in Chapter 4, and a supporting character in Chapter 5.
Hailing from the Wrath Ring and raised in the Greed Ring, Moxxie is an assassin and I.M.P's resident weapons specialist, as well as Millie's husband, and the son of notorious mob boss Crimson. He is Blitzø's second-in-command, and both Blitzø and Loona's target of harassment. Moxxie stands out as the most professional, moral, and tactical amongst his murder-happy peers, and acts as the voice of the reason among his team, or, at least, he tries to. He is easily frustrated by Blitzø and has a hard time loosening up, but has a healthy sense of humor and is a huge romantic at heart.
Biography[]
Background[]
Moxxie was born in Wrath Ring, although he was shortly moved to Greed Ring.
Growing up, Moxxie had a very close relationship with his mother, who did everything to make her son happy, while trying to protect him from her husband, Crimson. The more Moxxie grew closer to his mother and the more she did everything to protect him from Crimson's toxic influence, the more it angered the latter.
One day, the parents had a falling out with Moxxie witnessing it under the bed. Crimson hit his wife, causing her to leave him. Crimson took his son to an ocean with a terrified demon being handcuffed from behind and a bag being tied around his head. Crimson placed a concrete block, that was bound by the demon's tail, on the edge of the boat and encouraged Moxxie to push it off. A young Moxxie looks at the terrified demon, visibly reluctant to do it. But Crimson rolls his eyes in annoyance before shoving his son's head against the concrete block as a way to force him to do so.
Moxxie, with tears in his eyes, reluctantly pushed the concrete off the boat, dragging the demon along the way. As Moxxie stares at the ocean in frightened silence, Crimson menacingly taught him what happens to those that mess with him, as a couple of stuff (presumably belongings of Crimson's victims) floating on the ocean with Moxxie's mother's shoe rising to the surface, revealing that Crimson killed her for opposing him.
Years later, Moxxie fell in love with a mafia gangster, Chazwick Thurman, and they soon started dating. But one day, during a bank robbery, while Moxxie and Chaz were running through the exit, they quickly noticed that the bar door was slowly closing down and Moxxie quickly threw the money bag outside. Chaz got out, but Moxxie didn't make it in time and both his leg and tail were stuck. Moxxie desperately begged Chaz to help him, but Chaz quickly chose the money bag, much to the imp's horror. Chaz just gives Moxxie a remorseful expression, before running away, leaving Moxxie weeping in heartbreak and betrayal.
Moxxie was imprisoned, but the only thing running through his mind was his boyfriend's betrayal. In the prison cell, he met Blitzø, another inmate and arch-imp, who, without Moxxie's consent, started a friendly conversation and revealed that he had plans to escape by inquiring if the former could help him, to which Moxxie responded by smiling back.
After escaping from prison, he left his family and moved on from the past without looking back. At some point in his life, he met a fellow imp named Millie and would go on to forge a strong, undying bond with her, and the two would later go on to marry each other. Moxxie was then enlisted in a start-up assassination business known as the Immediate Murder Professionals, which is owned by Blitzø. It is unknown if Moxxie joined I.M.P before or after meeting Millie, or if they possibly met each other through I.M.P.
Events of Hazbin Hotel: Journey to the Light[]
Chapter 4[]
In "Assemble", Moxxie, Millie, and Loona are summoned to Lucifer's castle and, after Blitzø arrives, they all head inside the castle to find themselves surrounded by many of their past adversaries, including Verosika (along with her crew), Striker, Scorpius, Collin, Keenie, and Cletus. Although I.M.P immediately readies themselves for a fight, Lucifer enters the room and breaks the tension by announcing that he had called forth I.M.P's "past associates" to make their chances of killing the hotel crew greater, nothing each of their unique talents, as well as promising each member their own reward if they succeed in the mission (i.e allowing the cherubs back into Heaven once Lucifer takes over). The team assembles in an auditorium, where Lucifer gives them a rundown of all of the hotel crew members and their capabilities. After Lucifer's summary, Blitzø and his "new allies" get into a heated argument with Moxxie softly says he is certain that they are all going to die. Before leaving Lucifer's fortress, Moxxie takes notice of the King of Hell forcing Blitzø to sign a soul contract ensuring his compliance that, if broken, will result in Blitzø being magically erased from existence.
While loading the team's equipment and supplies into the team's minivan, Moxxie asks Blitzø if he thinks they can get out of the situation alive. Blitzø comforts Moxxie by saying that they are in this situation because of him and that Blitzø is supposedly the only one Lucifer wants to punish. Blitzø promises to keep Moxxie safe and tells Moxxie to run away with Millie and Loona if he were to die.
In "Connection", Moxxie was attempting to devise a plan to take down each of the hotel's members while they are tracking their targets. He suggested that, to kill Alastor, the team lead a ranged attack while Scorpius and Striker struck the Radio Demon from behind using their holy weaponry. During Moxxie's briefing, the team is taken aback when Loona boldly claimed that Alastor was not as powerful as the denizens of Hell believed, even daring Vortex that she would call him a "bitch" when they meet. Blitzø interrupts a moment between Loona and Vortex to smother the former and insist that he will protect Loona if anything bad happens, much to the hellhound's chagrin.
As night falls, I.M.P finds a proper resting spot and stops, with some of them setting up camp outside of their van. Striker challenges Moxxie to a shooting contest, mockingly stating that he knew Moxxie wouldn't stand a chance in a wrestling contest. The two imps have an elaborate shooting contest which ends more or less in a draw. Later, Moxxie was futilely attempting to start a fire using fire starters, only to be upstaged when Striker breathed fire onto the wood, which accidentally (or perhaps intentionally) resulted in Moxxie's arm being lit on fire after the flames caught him. After Moxxie fell asleep during the night, Scorpius attempted to devour him as vengeance for him and Blitzø previously stealing the Hellcat's axe. Luckily, Blitzø caught the Hellcat in the act after witnessing the attempted murder from I.M.P's van, quickly running out of the van and shooting Scorpius with a shotgun just before Moxxie could be devoured. Scorpius then attempted to kill Blitzø, but the imp, with the assistance of Striker, subdued the hellcat. With Scorpius subdued and the rest of the team woken up by the commotion, Striker offers the option of killing the Hellcat due to his liabilities. Despite the Hellcat just trying to kill him, Moxxie pragmatically said that Scorpius had to be kept alive as he was the strongest member of the team. Afterward, the team makes Scorpius sleep several meters away from the van and campfire for the rest of the night, and Moxxie falls asleep with Millie close beside him.
The next day, the rest of the team continue tracking the hotel crew, leading them to a traffic jam on a highway. As Blitzø is angrily screaming at the vehicles ahead to drive, Scorpius alerts the team that his "battle gland" is hardening, and Moxxie begins noticing people running away from the bridge. Sure enough, Sir Pentious, piloting a giant egg robot, emerged from under the bridge with an army of Egg Bois. Blitzø asks the snake to move aside so he and his associates could pass. Pentious claimed that no one could stop his takeover of the bridge and refused to budge even after Blitzø clarified that they were not interested in stopping him. Agitated, Blitzø and the rest of his team (sans Verosika) armed themselves and engaged Pentious and his small army in a lengthy battle. Moxxie fought through hoards of the Egg Bois while dual-wielding Glock pistols. Sir Pentious was defeated when Robo Fizz was deployed to assist I.M.P, taking down the robot and allowing Scorpius to destroy Pentious' machine with his axe.
In the aftermath of the battle, Scorpius attempted to kill Moxxie once again while seemingly no one was looking, only for Millie to intervene by smacking Scorpius on the top of his head with one of the severed legs of Sir Pentious' robot. As Moxxie cowered behind his wife, Millie incredulously asked Scorpius if that was any way to treat his friends, but the Hellcat angrily stated that Moxxie was no friend of his and that he had no friends regardless and didn't need them, which Millie reacts to sympathetically. Millie then asked Scorpius if she could be his friend, which confuses the Hellcat. Millie tells Scorpius that she sees some good in him and he should not be afraid of having friends or the affection of others. Scorpius was astonished to have his first friend, wordlessly handshaking Millie as Moxxie stared on in confusion.
In "When Worlds Collide", I.M.P receives a tip-off that one-half of the Happy Hotel (consisting of Fergus, Angel Dust, Husk, Baxter, and Crymini) are in the Lust Ring and promptly drive off to Lust for a confrontation. After Striker and Blitzø kill their way inside of the club, the team finally attacked the club's lounge, leading them into a confrontation with Angel Dust and Fergus. The two hotel members took cover as Moxxie and the others fired upon them. However, they fought back as Fergus converted his robotic arm into a laser rifle and fired upon the team, with Angel using all of his arms to wield an array of machine guns and unleash a hail of bullets upon the team, returning fire as well. As I.M.P ducked for cover and the battle escalated, Blitzø and Millie stealthily made their way to Fergus, both of them leaping onto him from behind and attempting to stab him with their knives, but Fergus caught both of them, hurling Blitzø through a pool table, and tossing Millie into Moxxie, knocking the latter into a wall.
In "Worker Relations", Blitzø is now more determined than ever to kill the hotel crew, since I.M.P has seemingly never fought targets who are capable of fighting back, although Moxxie attempts to remind him of the cannibal family. Unfortunately, Striker reveals to the team that he is low on holy bullets, having wasted them on killing the staff at the Lust club and on Sir Pentious' Egg Bois. He says that they will not be able to kill the hotel crew members without holy bullets, so the team heads off to Hell's criminal underground to resupply.
Striker leads I.M.P to Pentagram City's hidden, paranormal, black market underground, taking them to a group of criminals known as the Underground. Unfortunately for the team, the Underground is no longer selling holy weaponry, due to the rumors of there being angels in Hell. Improvising, Blitzø sends Moxxie to go in undercover and gain the group's trust so that he and the team could rob them blind. As I.M.P watches from the distance, Moxxie approaches the gang and made his request to join them. The Underground's crew members are doubtful of the imp's potential as a member, but Moxxie insists he has the skill to keep up with them. When one of the Underground's members attempts to attack Moxxie, he easily takes them down and keeps the crew at bay with dual pistols. The Underground's leader, Maulreese Jackjaw, appears from the darkness, calling his soldiers off. He expresses admiration for Moxxie, stating that he has more than earned the right to join their group, giving him his own Underground right arm patch.
Over the next few days, Moxxie begins to do supply jobs for the Underground, having officially joined their ranks. He finds that Maulreese, in terms of being a boss, is the exact opposite of what Blitzø is; supportive and competent. He gives Moxxie praise for completing supply jobs and takes Moxxie's advice into consideration, resulting in something of a father-son relationship between the two. Moxxie also begins to bond with the Underground crew members as he never did with I.M.P (other than his wife, Millie).
At the end of the week, Moxxie has officially gained the full trust of Maulreese and the Underground. Maulreese takes Moxxie to the Underground's stash of holy items, including handguns, rifles, knives, and even explosives. Maulreese explained how the items come from Exterminator weaponry that the Underground collected from the corpses of slain sinners after every annual Extermination. The Underground would then manufacture the Exterminators' equipment into various types of weapons and trinkets to sell on Hell's black market. Maulreese then reveals his aspirations of being "something like an Overlord", and that the Underground plans to take over Pentagram City using their large stockpile of holy weaponry and murder everyone that stood in their way, revealing his true, malevolent nature. Upon hearing this, Moxxie immediately shot Maulreese in the chest with a holy handgun he had taken from a display case. Moxxie, choking back tears after having grown a genuine friendship with Maulreese, said that, as extreme as his action was, he could not compromise his morals for the sake of the approval of his superior, all while Maulreese slowly died.
Hearing the commotion, members of the Underground barge into the room, discover Moxxie with their leader's corpse, and immediately fire upon the imp to avenge their fallen leader. Moxxie is nearly killed until Blitzø, Millie, Loona, Vortex, Scorpius, and Striker rescue Moxxie by killing his former teammates as Moxxie looked on in saddened silence. After the Underground is effectively erased, one severely injured gangster who Moxxie had befriended crawls out from the rubble, weakly asking Moxxie why betrayed them, while the imp looked away with tears in his eyes. The somber moment is interrupted when Scorpius decapitates the demon and casually ate his head as it was on fire.
Afterward, I.M.P steals as much holy weaponry as they can from the Underground's stockpile, loading the ill-gotten gains into their specialized van. Blitzø is ecstatic over the team's success until he notices Moxxie sulking outside of the van, clearly distraught after having betrayed and killed people he had grown close to. After some thought, Blitzø approaches Moxxie, puts his hand on his shoulder, and can only bring himself to congratulate Moxxie on his job. While not much, Moxxie warmly smiles at Blitzø, thanking him for his words, and returns to the van, putting his Underground patch in his weapon bag.
In "Suppression of Lust", I.M.P has a party to celebrate their acquirement of the angelic weapons. Moxxie gets heavily intoxicated while doing so.
In "Moxxie's Bad Day", I.M.P tracks down Fergus, Angel Dust, and Cherri Bomb, attacking them while they are hiding in an abandoned motel while trying to make it back to the Hazbin Hotel. Initially leading a long-range attack, the team is forced out of hiding and into splitting up after Cherri launched a rocket at them from her bazooka. To the surprise of I.M.P, the battle escalates as the last remnants of the Underground ambush both teams, seeking revenge against Moxxie for betraying them. For a brief moment, half of the Happy Hotel crew and I.M.P team up to fight back against the Underground, before it once again turns into a full-on battle. Fergus takes advantage of the situation and leaves I.M.P and the Underground to kill each other, and Cherri, along with Angel, follow suit, sneaking away as I.M.P focuses on the vengeful enemy team. Before they leave, however, Cherri launches another rocket at I.M.P, which knocks out Blitzø and injures half of the team. Moxxie was then captured alive by the Underground.
The Underground brought Moxxie to their new hideout and tied the imp upside down, torturing him for his betrayal. Although Moxxie tries to express his regret and the fact that he genuinely became friends with their erased leader, Maulreese, the members are too bitter to accept any apology. Before they could fatally stab Moxxie with an angelic knife, Blitzø arrives and snipes the assailant, and begins fighting all the Underground members at the camp. Blitzø quickly shoots Moxxie's rope, releasing him, and continues fighting off the straggling Underground members.
As Blitzø is engaging the last thug who was torturing Moxxie, his injuries sustained during his previous bout with the hotel crew begin to catch up to him enough for him to fall to the ground while fighting the thug. The assailant then pulls out a baseball bat and unleashes a savage attack, beating Blitzø to near unconsciousness. As he continues his vicious battering, he smugly comments how the Underground practically ruled the Pride Ring's criminal underworld and that Maulreese was ten times the leader Blitzø ever was or would be. Before he could deal the killing blow in Maulreese's honor, the last remaining Underground member is shot from behind and erased by Moxxie, who grabbed Blitzø's holy sniper rifle while the two were fighting. Moxxie, despite having his own injuries, helps Blitzø get to his feet as they try to get to Bombproof, who Blitzø stole from Striker on his way to save Moxxie. However, Bombproof has abandoned him and returned to his owner, so Blitzø and Moxxie are forced to operate a handcar to return to their team.
In "The Deep End", I.M.P, who are all still nursing their wounds, are informed by Lucifer that nearly all of the Happy Hotel crew (excluding Charlie and Alastor) are heading to The Deep End, a nightclub located in the Envy Ring that is owned by the Prince of Envy, Seviathan Von Eldritch. Blitzø tries to inform Lucifer that they need to heal their wounds, but the King of Hell gives them no relief and orders them to go to The Deep End impenitently.
After using Elevator 666 to travel to Envy, I.M.P hitches a ride in a submarine which begins taking them to The Deep End nightclub. As Loona tends to Vortex's wounds, leading to a tender moment between them, Blitzø gets in between them and breaks them up. Moxxie, who is resting his head on Millie's lap, laments that he does not think I.M.P could survive another fight with the hotel crew, much less Alastor. Blitzø chastises Verosika for doing nothing to help the team during their battles, and the pop star responds by saying that she does not even know why she was enlisted for this mission. Blitzø says that Lucifer wanted to punish him and in doing so is punishing practically everyone he knows. When Vortex inquires if the team is essentially just pawned in Lucifer's game, Blitzø, more determined than ever, stands up and says that they are not and they are going to prove to Lucifer the skills and worth of I.M.P.
The squad finally arrives at The Deep End, which is having its Mammal's Night. Before entering, Blitzø told the cherubs and Scorpius to stay in the submarine since the formers were angels and the latter would draw too much attention. Scorpius suggested that he could disguise himself using fake glasses, a hat, and a tie, much to Millie's amusement, but Blitzø shuts his idea down as the team heads into The Deep End. Upon entering, the team scanned the area, only to notice that the hotel crew had not yet arrived, so Striker suggested that they have fun while waiting for their targets, ordering a waitress to bring them some drinks. Moxxie, annoyed, told him that they were on a mission, but Striker and Verosika told the imp to relax a bit. As the hours passed the rest of the team entertained themselves and have a fun time, with Striker and Robo Fizz dazzling the club-goers with their skills, Verosika singing on-stage, and Loona, Vortex, Loo Loo, Millie, and Moxxie dancing to the disco. Meanwhile, Blitzø found himself alone, sulking in the shadows of the club while his companions enjoyed themselves. Moxxie and Millie went outside the club to have some alone time, while Blitzø silently stalked them from the club's balcony.
After several hours, Angel Dust, Fergus, Cherri Bomb, Vaggie, Husk, and Niffty arrived at the club and sat down to discuss their plan of breaking into the Von Eldritch family castle. During the discussion, Fergus and Striker took notice of each other with the former activating his arm cannon and the latter drawing his dual revolvers, and the fight began. Moxxie and Millie returned inside the club to aid their allies as the club's patrons ran out of the establishment as the fight escalated. Blitzø, hearing the commotion, quickly ran to the team's submarines and told Scorpius that it was "show time". The Hellcat excitedly grabbed his axe and joined the fray inside of the club, his axe causing mass destruction. During the battle, Scorpius manages to beat down Fergus and body-slammed him through several floors of the club until they both landed on the main floor. Cherri Bomb saves Fergus from being erased by stunning the Hellcat with her grenades. I.M.P has the advantage and the hotel crew becomes overwhelmed, retreating back to Baxter's secondary spaceship he lent to them. I.M.P pursued the crew using their submarine.
Robo Fizz uses his limbs and strength to launch Blitzø, Striker, Millie, and Moxxie up on the crew's ship, and the four imps engaged Fergus, Angel Dust, and Vaggie respectively in a physical fight. During the skirmish, Moxxie manages to stab Angel Dust in the thigh using a holy knife and fires at the spider with his sniper rifle as Angel took cover. Fergus ran to his injured friend and angrily returned fire at Moxxie with his arm cannon. One of Fergus' blasts manages to hit Moxxie directly in the shoulder, knocking his rifle out of his hands and sending him plummeting off the side of the ship and into the ocean below. Millie frantically abandoned her fight with Vaggie to save her fallen husband, and Blitzø reluctantly abandons the hotel crew as well to go find Moxxie. Millie desperately searched for Moxxie underwater, but could not find him and began drowning. Blitzø tried to get her back to the surface but began running out of air as well. As the two imps passed out from lack of oxygen, Scorpius and Vortex swam to grab them, returning them to the submarine just before they could perish.
Blitzø and Millie wake up in the submarine, surrounded by the crew, and the latter immediately asked her teammates where Moxxie was. As Loona was visibly dismayed, Vortex regrettably informed the two that Moxxie "didn't make it" and that he perished. As Blitzø lay in stunned silence, Millie went into a state of paranoid denial, tearfully insisting that her husband was alive and that there had to be something they could do to save him, but the team did not have a solution. Millie then broke down in uncontrollable tears as Blitzø silently mourned the loss of his friend. Hours later, when Millie was mourning the loss of her husband, crying uncontrollably, Scorpius entered the room and, seeing no other way to comfort his friend, simply sat next to her and stroked her head, which seemed to slightly relax her as she tearfully leaned against him for support and continued mourning her husband.
In the Chapter 4 finale, "It's Never Too Late", it is revealed that Moxxie survived the gunshot directed to his shoulder, returned to the Pride ring and infiltrated Lucifer's castle, and destroyed the soul contract that was forcefully signed by Blitzø using a holy rifle, before quickly exiting the castle before Lucifer or his minions could locate the source of the bullet, leaving Blitzø's existence saved thanks to Moxxie destroying the soul contract.
Shortly after Leviathan's demise, Moxxie suddenly makes an appearance after Scorpius (who was believed to be killed after Leviathan threw him several hundreds of miles away from the battle) returned to the team, much to Blitzø's and Millie's shock, but were driven to tears and hugged him in relief. Millie, barely composing herself hugged him tight, telling him to never leave her again, which he assured her that he wouldn't. During the heartwarming reunion, Fergus approaches them and awkwardly apologizes for nearly killing Moxxie and set the imp on his shoulders to give him some relief. Following this, Blitzø was about to taunt Striker, but mysteriously vanished without a trace.
Blitzø was about to wish the Happy Hotel crew a farewell, but Fergus recommended that I.M.P stick with the hotel crew, since they betrayed Lucifer and both teams will almost certainly be in dire trouble when Hell's higher-ups discover that they killed a King of Hell. With this in mind, Blitzø begrudgingly agrees that I.M.P will join the hotel crew in exchange for protection, much to Charlie's elevation. Both I.M.P (along with Cletus, Keenie, and Collin) and The Happy Hotel crew walk off to the Hazbin Hotel, while I.M.P's adversaries go their separate ways and Seviathan starts his new life of happiness and freedom and rebuilding all of his father's damages.
Chapter 5[]
After a full month of dodging Hell's authorities, I.M.P links back up to the hotel crew, unable to continue their business as Stolas has gone into hiding. I.M.P begins to bond with the hotel's patients and staff, with Moxxie becoming friends with Angel Dust after they share their pain over both of their fathers being domineering mafia dons who forced them to be criminals, and Angel expressing commiseration upon hearing Moxxie's father, Crimson, had murdered his wife and Moxxie's mother because they had disagreements on how to raise their son.
In "Down at the Ranch", Moxxie, Millie, and Blitzø, travel to the Wrath Ring to check on the status of Millie's family. Upon arriving at the May family's ranch, they discover that they have been taken; victims of the many mass imp kidnappings that have been occurring in the wake of Leviathan's death. Moxxie, in his sage wisdom, concludes that Beelzebub is behind their disappearance, and an absolutely enraged Millie says that she will save her family and brutally kill the King of Gluttony for what he has done. Before they could leave the ranch, the three imps find themselves under attack by the local government of Wrath. To the surprise of everyone, Blitzø's former pet horse, Spindle, comes to his rescue and whisks Blitzø to safety, though Moxxie and Millie are abandoned in the process and overpowered by the soldiers, who throw burlap sacks on their head before tossing them into the back of a truck and driving to Azazel's Fortress.
Moxxie and Millie are then recruited by Azazel himself, who sets them both up to be killed by forcing them to be his soldiers in an ongoing war against the Uprising, an army of imps and Hellhounds who seek to take Azazel's throne. The following day, M&M are forced into a battle between Azazel's army and the Uprising. Refusing to let herself and Moxxie be used as shields, Millie takes charge and begins massacring the Uprising alongside Scorpius, emboldening Moxxie to fight alongside her. During the battle, Moxxie is saved by Scorpius before he could be overwhelmed by five Hellhounds. Moxxie repays Scorpius by sniping another sniper who had tried to take out Scorpius. The battle ends in a victory for Azazel's army, though the imp king is less than pleased when his soldiers report Moxxie and Millie's efficiency. Still refusing to admit their capabilities, Azazel assaults Moxxie for his defiance and assigns the imp as his personal manservant to emasculate him, and assigns Millie to crush any resistance for the foreseeable future, refusing to free them until the Uprising is completely destroyed. Moxxie devises a dangerous idea to play both sides in the war between Azazel and the Uprising so that he can eventually escape with Millie.
In "All's Fair in Wrath and War", Moxxie bitterly continues his forced servitude of Azazel, though the imp king only uses this to emasculate and bully Moxxie endlessly. Moxxie worries for Millie's well-being, who is forced to fight all of Azazel's battles on a daily basis, returning to the castle with more scars and injuries on a daily basis. When she is not fighting, Millie is forced to do dangerous hard labor in the mines and volcanoes of Wrath with Azazel's other slaves. Eventually, Millie returns from battle and can hardly get to her feet from her injuries, stumbling to her hands and knees as Moxxie runs to her aide. Millie tries to tell Moxxie that she is alright and a good night's rest is all that she needs, but Moxxie reminds her that she hasn't slept in days between the constant warfare and slave labor. He determinedly tells Millie that he has a way out of their situation just before Azazel's guards separate them.
As night falls and Azazel is busy watching a lengthy sports game, Moxxie stealthily makes his way out of the fortress and heads off to find the Uprising's base. When he nears closer to the base, he falls into a trap, being snared by a rope and strung up in a tree, altering the hidden members of the Uprising who come from the woodworks with guns and various weapons trained on Moxxie. Moxxie makes it clear that despite his service to Azazel, he has sought them out to help them defeat Azazel. The Uprising's leader, Abaddon, approaches Moxxie, putting a knife to the imp's throat and making him swear that he will not double-cross the Uprising. A flustered Moxxie tries to get into the legal ramifications of their deal, but Diablo has none of it, and Moxxie swears allegiance to the Uprising. Abaddon cuts Moxxie from the rope and slits his own hand with a knife before handing it to Moxxie, making him swear a blood oath to dethrone Azazel.
Moxxie - with his brief membership of the Underground and relationship with Maulreese Jackjaw fresh in his mind - cautiously asks Abaddon if he has any ulterior, unscrupulous goals in mind after overthrowing Azazel. In response, Abaddon gives a passionate speech about how every member of the Uprising has been wronged or enslaved at one point by Azazel; their homes destroyed, loved ones murdered or enslaved, and Wrath becoming a constant warzone. He says that nothing will bring them more joy than bringing Azazel to justice by murdering him and "restoring" the Wrath Ring. After the rousing speech, Moxxie nonchalantly asks Abaddon if he has any blood diseases, but after a stern, silent glare from Abaddon, Moxxie completes the blood oath, slowly and painfully slitting his hand before shaking hands with Abaddon.
In "Double Agent, Double Pain", Moxxie works along with the Uprising in secret, sneaking out in the dead of night to rat out information about Azazel's strategies and tactics which allow them to progressively push back his forces. Over time, he earns the respect of Abaddon and the Uprising, who shares rum with Moxxie one night.
Moxxie returns to Azazel's fortress, worrying for Millie's wellbeing before Azazel storms into his castle, apoplectic over the Uprising's recent victories. However, Azazel declares that he has a plan, stating that he believes the Uprising sent a "rat" into the castle that became sloppy, pointing out a trail his scouts had found that began at Azazel's fortress. He believes that the trail will lead to the Uprising's base and will launch an assault the next day, and he wants Moxxie to come along in case he needs a shield. Moxxie is understandably rattled by this but pretends to act apathetic to lower Azazel's suspicions.
At nightfall, Moxxie sneaks out of the castle and attempts to cover his tracks, only to be ambushed by Azazel and his minions, who use a club to knock him out. When Moxxie wakes up, it is dawn, he is surrounded by Azazel, his army, and Millie (who has a noose around her neck with his hands bound), and they are all in front of the Uprising's base. Azazel tells Moxxie that he had a sneaking suspicion that Moxxie was the rat when his guards noticed Moxxie's absence at night, causing Moxxie to curse himself for getting complacent. Azazel, in a sadistic mood, throws Moxxie his confiscated guns and decides to have the imp once and for all prove his worth by killing all of the Uprising's armed forces, instructing him to leave any liberated slaves alive so they can be put back to more hard labor. When Moxxie takes aim but cannot bring himself to pull the trigger, Azazel gives him motivation by grabbing Millie by her noose and suspending her in the air, painfully and slowly choking her to death. During this, Scorpius seemingly moves to stop Azazel, but reluctantly bows his head. Given no choice, Moxxie storms through the Uprising's base, massacring all of the unsuspecting soldiers with reluctance as Azazel watched with sadistic satisfaction.
After Moxxie had single-handedly wiped out most of the Uprising's guns, Azazel's men set their base ablaze and have any rescued slaves recaptured. Azazel and his men drag an injured Abaddon from his home, to which he is mockingly greeted by Azazel. Abaddon sees Moxxie with Azazel's army and curses the imp in a fit of complete hatred and betrayal. He dishes out extremely harsh words to Moxxie which drive the imp to tears, indirectly confirming that Moxxie was the rat. Azazel mercilessly executes Abaddon by decapitating him and attaching his head to his belt as a trophy.
Azazel then turns his attention to Moxxie, socking him in the face for his betrayal and pinning the imp to the ground with his hooves, breaking Moxxie's ribs while doing so. Millie tries to defend her husband but is put in a chokehold by Azazel's goons. Azazel makes the decision to put Moxxie in a fight to the death against Scorpius as a punishment, before ordering his men to throw Moxxie to the dungeons until the death tournament begins. A battered and broken Moxxie reaches for Millie just before he falls unconscious.
In "See The Fire in Your Eyes", a day after his utterly failed escape attempt, a still-battered Moxxie is taken from Azazel's fortress and thrown into a massive colosseum for his battle against Scorpius. Azazel himself stands by his throne with Millie by his side, who is standing on a short drop with a noose around her head. After Scorpius enters the colosseum, Azazel declares that the two are to fight to the death at the threat of Millie being hung should they both fail to comply. Moxxie is given his weapons as Scorpius conjures his fire axe, and the battle begins.
Initially, Moxxie, despite his injuries, used his speed to outmatch Scorpius, though it is clear that Scorpius is holding back immensely, and even then, Moxxie's attacks are not doing much lasting harm to him. Azazel notices Scorpius' hesitation and angrily shouts at the warrior to quit holding back, suspending Millie by her noose to motivate him. With this, Scorpius begins battily Moxxie more ferociously, nearly cleaving him several times and successfully cutting many of his firearms in half, rendering them useless. A desperate and bloodied Moxxie refuses to stand down, attempting to climb on Scorpius and stab him with a knife, but the Hellcat catches him and hurls him into a boulder, knocking him out.
Azazel laughs in satisfaction, and despite Moxxie being borderline defenseless and clearly beaten, he orders Scorpius to kill the imp. Scorpius approaches the unconscious Moxxie with his fire axe as Millie practically begs Scorpius to spare Moxxie. Scorpius raises his axe above Moxxie, but then remembers the last conversation he had with his father before he was murdered by Azazel. Realizing in that moment of suspense that he would rather die a warrior's end than continue being Azazel's slave and carrying out his atrocities, Scorpius suddenly turned around and roared ferociously as he hurled his axe at Azazel, who just barely dives out of the axe's path as it explosively destroys Azazel's throne. With the imp king briefly incapacitated, Millie frees herself by using her legs to climb on the rope around her neck and snap it using her teeth, before leaping into battle alongside Scorpius as Azazel's forces charged at them.
Together, Scorpius and Millie kick a whole lotta ass and slaughter droves of Azazel's henchmen, cackling maniacally together at the catharsis of the situation. To make things better, the cavalry arrives when Blitzø (gallantly riding Spindle into battle) and the soldiers of the Hellhound resistance crash the party and push Azazel's army back. Azazel himself finally gets involved in the battle, revealing his giant bat wings and leaping from his balcony, plunging his fire spear into the ground with enough force to produce a shockwave. Just as the Hellhound army rush at him, Azazel uses his strength and spear to split the earth around them apart, causing dozens of fighters to fall into the fiery chasm while others barely make it to safety.
Moxxie groggily wakes up to see Azazel ready to impale him with his spear, but just as the imp king goes to deal the killing blow, Scorpius stops the spear with his axe, declaring that Azazel will no longer harm his "friends". Azazel mocks Scorpius for believing in friendship and risking his life to save a woman, before engaging his former slave in a vicious fight. Azazel initially dominates the fight and declares Scorpius to be just as weak as his father, but Millie joins the battle and fights alongside Scorpius. During the two-on-one, Scorpius throws Millie at Azazel when he takes flight, allowing her to crawl to his back and clip Azazel's wings off using a knife, causing him to plunge violently to the ground. Even with Millie's assistance, Azazel still handily fends off both of them and knocks Millie to the sidelines.
Surrounded by fire and bloodshed, Azazel and Scorpius continue their battle. Azazel proves superior to Scorpius in nearly every way and is able to disarm him of his axe by punching it out of his hand. With Scorpius axeless, Azazel begins slicing the warrior across his chest and legs. Scorpius tries to fight back, but Azazel easily knocks him to the ground and impales him in the chest with his spear, pinning him to the ground before mercilessly pounding his face bare-handed. While getting the life beat out of him, Scorpius recalls a memory where Azazel beat him within an inch of his life when he was made his lieutenant. Remembering this painful memory, Scorpius musters up his last bit of strength, lunging up and catching one of Azazel's punches with his teeth before using his jaws to tear the imp king's right hand off, causing Azazel a tremendous amount of pain.
While Azazel is writhing in pain, a tearful and screaming Mille leaps from behind Azazel and plunges Scorpius' axe into the imp king's shoulder. She hacks Azazel countless times with the axe while screaming like a bloodthirsty maniac with her eyes literally turning bright red, letting all of her rage out for the suffering Azazel has put her, Moxxie, and Scorpius through. Despite being positively covered in deep wounds, Azazel remains defiant to the very end and stops one of Millie's attacks with his spear with enough force to nearly disarm her of the axe. However, Millie's wrath is too much for Azazel to handle as she uses the axe to cut his left arm off, catching his spear as it was falling and stabbing him in the groin with it, effectively castrating him. Millie then lets out one final battle cry as she decapitates Azazel with Scorpius' axe, killing him once and for all.
Following Azazel's death, Millie runs to Moxxie's aid, who assures her that he is okay. Millie carries Moxxie over to Scorpius, seeing that he is mortally wounded as Azazel's spear had pierced his heart. Millie tearfully begs Scorpius to hang on, but he tells her that the war against Azazel has finally been won, thus he can finally rest. He passes his holy axe down to Millie, declaring that she has proved herself a warrior worthy of being its new owner. Scorpius then passes peacefully, surrounded by his only friends, as Millie breaks down crying on Moxxie's shoulder.
Hours later, Moxxie and Millie ride in the back of a carriage being driven by Blitzø and Spindle, the former of which declare they are finally going to rescue Millie's family. He tries to join the two in the back but shockingly decides that they deserve some time alone. While in the back of the carriage, Moxxie and Millie, both battered and injured, sit down and hold hands after the tumultuous time they had just had. After a romantic moment of watching the volatile Wrath countryside together, Millie drops massively impactful news on Moxxie; she is pregnant, and the babies are his. Moxxie is emotionally overwhelmed by this news, barely even comprehending what Millie is saying, but after absorbing it, he breaks down crying happy tears into his hands before Millie embraces him. The two imps tearfully and happily hug each other tightly as the sun sets behind them.
In "Just Desserts", Moxxie, Millie, and Blitzø arrive to the Gluttony Ring and begin making their way to Beelzebub's Hive, on a mission to rescue Millie's family from the King of Gluttony. Moxxie notices Millie sharpening Scorpius' axe, obviously itching to kill Beelzebub for endangering her family. Worried for her and their unborn children, Moxxie suggests that Millie take a beat seat while he and Blitzø save her family. Millie insists that she can still fight, even while pregnant, and that Moxxie knows this and witnessed it, but he does not want them to endanger their children. This argument is cut short when all three imps are ambushed by Beelzebub's swarm and captured, and Moxxie is knocked out during his attempt to fight back.
When Moxxie wakes up, he finds himself and several other unnamed imps in the prison transport of a Hellhorse-drawn wagon, with Millie and Blitzø nowhere to be seen. Moxxie is taken to Beelzebub's Hive, where he finds a horrifying sight; millions of starving imps being led in chains and imprisoned in filthy cages and stables, being horribly mistreated and tortured by Beelzebub's minions as they await being consumed by the King of Gluttony. Moxxie and a column of imps are imprisoned in a muddy cage, with Mr. P supervising them and doing headcounts for any escapees. Mr. P tells Moxxie and the imps that where they are currently is where all imps should rightfully be. Moxxie bitterly retorts to the mosquito demon that he knew who the true scum of Hell's society was, and that he was staring at it. Mr. P nonsensically retorts that he was staring at it as well, to Moxxie's complete confusion.
As night falls, Moxxie and the imprisoned imps try to sleep in the pouring rain with nothing but mud to lay on, the sound of helpless screaming and crying keeping him awake as Beelzebub's henchmen select imps to be eaten by Beelzebub. Moxxie also tosses and turns over what had happened to Blitzø and Millie. Moxxie witnesses an imp being tortured by Mr. P and Beelzebub's henchmen, who are publically interrogating him over the whereabouts of imp refugees, pouring a pail of flesh-eating parasites on the imp to coerce him into spilling the beans. When the imp cracks and tells Mr. P the whereabouts of the other imps as the parasites begin gnawing his flesh away, Mr. P emotionlessly thanks him for his cooperation, but continues with the torture regardless. Moxxie and the other prisoners watch on in complete horror, helpless to stop the imp's pain as the parasites strip him of his flesh.
The next day, Moxxie is led by an insect demon throughout the prison for the daily headcount, but when he and the demon are in an isolated location, he fights back against the insect, crawling onto its back and grabbing it by the antenna, where he discovers that he can control the insect like a marionette by manipulating its antenna. As the insect struggles to resist Moxxie's control, the imp forces the insect to the weapon confiscation room and forces the insect to give him all of his weaponry. Manipulating the insect's antenna with one hand and using his other hand to press a handgun to the insect's head, Moxxie threatens to kill the insect (whose name is Humbug) if he does not keep quiet and let him do all the talking.
With Moxxie hiding within Humbug's massive scopal hairs, the imp physically manipulates Humbug, making him walk about into the prison guards and awkwardly communicating with the prison's other guards as Humbug is clearly terrified for his life. By interrogating Humbug, Moxxie finds Millie's cage and frees her and the other imps. Poking out of Humbug's hairs, Moxxie tells Millie to get out of the prison while she still can before continuing on. Unable to leave until her family is safe, Millie goes against Moxxie's advice and leads the other imps, freeing Blitzo and eventually finding her family.
Moxxie, sickened by the deaths of all the imps, orders Humbug to lead him up to Beelzebub's Hive so that he can kill the King of Gluttony. While the two were scaling the King of Gluttony's hive, Moxxie finds Sir Pentious suspended in a giant web, beckoning Humbug to free him. Moxxie lets himself known to Pentious, recognizing him from when he previously attacked I.M.P, and asks the supervillain why he should free him. Pentious plays into Moxxie's good nature and and rhetorically asks him if he would let him die a horrible death. Moxxie rolls his eyes and ultimately decides to free Pentious from the webs. Upon being freed, Pentious lets out a maniacal cackle that inadvertently ends up alerting Beelzebub's guards to his freedom. Moxxie stares at Pentious incredulously as the serpent awkwardly slithers out of the hive and escapes.
With the element of surprise out the window, Moxxie lets Humbug go alive and arms himself with dual pistols, an assault rifle, and a sniper rifle, furiously fighting his way through Beelzebub's Hive, facing resistance from the King of Gluttony's swarm all the way up and gunning all of them down through his sheer skill and determination. While this is happening, Millie frees Blitzø and finally finds her family, freeing them and leading a full-scale prison riot and revolution against Beelzebub's minions, freeing all of the imps and fighting back against their oppressors. During the riot, Millie and her sister, Sallie May, kill Mr. P using teamwork. Millie, Sallie, and Blitzø then fight their way up to Beelzebub's Hive to get to Moxxie.
Moxxie, covered in the multi-colored blood of Beelzebub's minions, makes it into the Sin's throne room and confronts the King of Gluttony. Moxxie makes his determination to kill Beelzebub clear, saying that the imp has oppressed and killed demons of his kind for far too long. Beelzebub, cocky and in control, rhetorically asks Moxxie if he knows how many imps have died at his hands trying to play the hero, finishing Moxxie's sentences for him to brag about how many times he has heard those words from his victims. Properly intimidated, Moxxie fires at Beelzebub before desperately seeking cover, trying to use stealth against the King of Gluttony. Beelzebub does not even move to dodge Moxxie's bullets, which do not harm him in the slightest, and is ecstatic for their "game" of hide-and-seek, climbing on the walls and using stealth against Moxxie instead. In complete and utter terror, as Beelzebub has every advantage against him, Moxxie has no choice but to cower behind anything he can as Beelzebub teases and torments him, savoring the imp's terror. Beelzebub appears at random, using his claws to destroy Moxxie's weapons one-by-one before disappearing back into the darkness, slowly stripping the imp of all his defenses.
Moxxie's objective goes from trying to kill Beelzebub to simply buying time so that his friends and all the captured imps can escape the Hive, accepting that he will be killed but refusing his death to be for nothing. Moxxie is eventually armed with nothing but a knife, and when he tries fruitlessly to kill the King of Gluttony, Beelzebub pins Moxxie against the wall and takes his time torturing the imp, permanently blinding him in his left eye by spitting acid into it.
The blinded and pained Moxxie spots his sniper rifle several feet away and is forced to desperately and weakly crawl towards the rifle as Beelzebub gets closer and closer to him, taunting the imp all along the way. After Beelzebub snares Moxxie to the ground in his webs, Millie, Sallie May, and Blitzø burst into the throne room to save Moxxie. Beelzebub toys with the three imps effortlessly, trapping Sallie May against a wall by spitting his webs onto her, lighting Blitzø's arm on fire, and wrestling Millie off of him and brutally slamming her onto the ground, knocking her unconscious. Seeing his wife (and unborn children) in grave danger, Moxxie furiously tries cut his way out of Beelzebub's webs, but the King of Gluttony pins the grounded Moxxie with his boot and forces him and Sallie May to watch as he dangles Millie by the leg over his jaws, eager to devour her. Moxxie desperately pleads with Beelzebub to spare Mille, as she is pregnant. Upon hearing this, Beelzebub pauses before cackling and deviously thanking Moxxie for gifting him with a "combo pack", before going to devour Millie and her unborn children before Moxxie's eyes.
At that moment, Sir Pentious bursts into the throne room, armed with a futuristic cannon that has angelic markings on it and aiming it at Beelzebub. Beelzebub is completely unfazed by Sir Pentious and asks him if he feels like a big shot. Three of Beelzebub's insectoid minions flank Pentious and disarm him as Beelzebub remarks Pentious as a "loser" who merely plays with tin toys. Pentious retorts that he may be a loser, but he'll at least be known as the loser that "rekt" the King of Gluttony. As Beelzebub laughs this threat off, the three insectoid demons at Pentious' side suddenly pull out large, angelic energy cannons and use them to blast Beelzebub, sending the King of Gluttony violently flying out of his Hive, freeing Millie from his grasp in the process. As Moxxie lays puzzled as to why Beelzebub's own men would turn against their king, the three insect demons turn out to be manipulated by three Egg Bois, the same way Moxxie had manipulated Humbug earlier. As Pentious and the Egg Bois celebrate, Moxxie urgently checks on Millie, who, while battered, turns out okay. Millie notices that the battered Moxxie has been permanently blinded and tries to make him feel better by saying that he'll be an even better shot with a dead eye and look even more attractive with an eye patch, which brings a smile to Moxxie's face.
Meanwhile, Beelzebub violently falls to the grounds of his prison, gravely injured and temporarily left powerless by the effects the angelic energy cannons. The injured King of Gluttony weakly gets back to his feet, giggling maniacally and saying that Pentious should have killed him when he had the chance. As Moxxie, Sallie May, Millie, and Blitzø exit the Hive, Beelzebub cackles and confronts them, complimenting their "trick" while noting that it was useless in the end. However, the King of Gluttony's savage lunacy turns to terror as thousands of the imps he had starved, tortured, and imprisoned begin to surround their captor and long-time oppressor with ravenous, drooling grins on their faces. Still powerless from the angelic energy cannon, Beelzebub tries to flee in terror, but the imps immediately leap upon him, brutally tearing him apart and mauling him to death as Moxxie watches in horrified spectacle and Blitzø comically commentates on the off-screen brutality, eventually getting a little disturbed himself but still admiring the gory beauty.
Personality[]
- "You've got a good heart, honey. Just a fuzzy head."
- — Millie to Moxxie after they completed their job.
Among the demons in I.M.P, Moxxie seems to be the one that is the most on-track and pragmatic when it comes to their actual work, trying his best to keep everybody else in line and get their jobs done right, as well as attempting to offer Blitzø advice on how to run a successful business. He is rather easily annoyed by the antics of his peers, and serves as the I.M.P's weapon specialist; as such, holds a vast knowledge of weapons and often brings a variety of them along during jobs. Out of all the employees at I.M.P, Moxxie puts up with the most abuse, mostly from both Blitzø and Loona, and his advice is frequently ignored by Blitzø, despite being the only employee who takes their profession very seriously. Moxxie is also rather insecure about himself as he is considered to be physically weak, as well as Striker gives him a hard time, as he believes physical strength is what makes a person strong.
Moxxie is very reserved and is reluctant to share information about his personal life, no matter how much it is demanded.
Moxxie appears to have a profound love for music; he can sing and play the guitar with skill, has a framed music award, his alarm clock has a musical note on it, and his bedroom and living room wallpaper has musical notes on them. In addition, he frequently comes up with songs to express his love for his wife, Millie. He also seems to be a fan of the hit musical The Phantom of the Opera, having a framed sheet with a domino mask and a rose pictured on it above his nightstand, wondering what sex with Michael Crawford (the actor who originated the role of The Phantom) would be like, and at one point suffered from a hallucination that heavily referenced the play. He also dressed as the Phantom for Halloween in a post on his Voxtagram account.
Despite being a hitman, Moxxie is, by far, the most moral member of I.M.P. Pure of heart, he desires to establish a limit on the number of people they kill at a time, and would rather have even unrepentant murderers, cannibals, and the worst scum of humanity get a fair trial than having them be killed. He is also the only member of I.M.P who objects to killing children, as shown when he became distraught when he believed they had killed an innocent child (although he did change his mind as the child in question turned out to be a prick), and still had reservations over killing Martha's cannibalistic children. He also is uncomfortable with the idea of killing targets who have seemingly happy families, worried that he could destroy a perfectly good family by pulling off the hit. That said, he does show a slightly sadistic side every now and then as he gets turned on by his wife's carnage and brutality, as he sings of how he loves the sound of Millie's victims' screaming in "Oh, Millie".
Appearance[]
Moxxie is an imp with red skin and three, white freckles on each of his cheeks. He sports white, pointy hair which leads up to his curvy black-and-white-striped horns. His eyes have yellow sclera with black, vertical pupils. As an imp, he sports a long, red, thin tail with a quadrilateral barb at the end. He has lanky, digitigrade legs ending in what appears to be exposed red hooves.
Moxxie's primary attire consists of a navy-black coat with red buttons and white cuffs, a white undershirt that has a black turtleneck, black pants, a red bowtie, and fingerless gloves. The undersides of his coat have 16 pockets on each side capable of storing a large number of items. He occasionally wears sunglasses while on the clock.
Powers and Abilities[]
Natural Powers[]
- Enhanced Durability: Moxxie is unusually tough and can tank extreme punishment without dying, as he repeatedly ends up injured at varying levels of intensity, from concussions to being completely crushed. Miraculously, he manages to survive and shake off all of these punishments, albeit incredibly angry, or at least annoyed, that it happened at all.
- Thermal Resistance: Like all imps, Moxxie is capable of being lit completely on fire and suffering no injuries whatsoever, nor is he hindered from the effects of being lit aflame. When Striker seemingly accidentally lit Moxxie's arm on fire while breathing flames onto a pile of sticks, Moxxie was only concerned about his suit being ruined, instead of being harmed by the flames.
Unique Powers[]
- Hammerspace: Moxxie apparently has the ability to make anything he wears hold a lot more inside than what should be physically possible. He carries an entire armory of weapons and various equipment - from heavy firearms, flamethrowers, gas masks, and telescopes - inside of his coat, pulling them out one after the other despite how the combined size and weight for all of them once present is bigger than his entire body. During his trip to Loo Loo Land, the fanny pack Moxxie was carrying around was capable of holding pill bottles full of antacids, ibuprofen, and a bunch of morphine syringes that were bigger overall than the bag even without the aforementioned bottles.
- Enhanced Agility: Moxxie has shown a considerable amount of agility, being able to execute quick movements with his legs and his tail.
Abilities[]
- Expert Marksman: Moxxie, as a weapons specialist, is a world-class marksman skilled with long and short-ranged weaponry, and is easily the deadliest with a gun amongst his peers. He was capable of calculating a shot, in mid-fall, to cut the string of a sandbag and have it land on someone wrestling with his wife, all without touching a hair on Millie's head. While fighting paranormal agents with his peers, he used multiple firearms consistently shoot numerous agents in the head and did not miss any shots. While having a shooting contest with Striker, Moxxie accurately shot multiple swinging bags and used a submachine gun to shoot a heart with "M&M" in it while dangling upside down. He later demonstrated that he could duel-wield pistols while battling the Egg Bois during Sir Pentious' ambush on I.M.P.
- Master Tactician: Moxxie is very intelligent when it comes to strategy and is the primary strategist of I.M.P. He knows how to effectively use his and I.M.P's resources; while explaining to I.M.P his plan to kill Alastor, Moxxie made the astute suggestion that he and the rest of the team lead a ranged attack on the Radio Demon, while Scorpius and Striker attacked Alastor's blind spots while he was distracted since they were the only ones on the team at that moment who were armed with holy weaponry.
- Musical Talents: Moxxie is a rather gifted singer and is capable of playing the guitar with skill.
- Natural Weaponry: Moxxie possesses a prehensile tail that he can use to grab small objects as well as a dangle from surfaces. He also possesses sharp teeth also useful as weapons.
- Songwriting: Moxxie is capable of composing songs, having written "Oh, Millie" and "I Love You" in honor of his wife.
- Stealth Mastery: Moxxie is a stealth expert capable of infiltrating and escaping even the most heavily guarded of places without being caught. After faking his own death, he was able to sneak into Castle Magne in order to destroy the soul contract Lucifer had forced Blitzø to sign. Later, he snuck out of Azazel's Fortress numerous times in order to sabotage the King of Wrath by aiding the Uprising.
- Weapon Mastery: Moxxie has the vast skill and extensive knowledge of weaponry including, but not limited to, firearms, flamethrowers, and knives, with his preferred weapons being a Glock pistol and a scoped rifle. He can also use a serrating knife quite easily when he doesn't have ammo for his firearms or he can't access them.
Weapons[]
- Blessed Handgun: Moxxie acquired a handgun of angelic properties towards the end of his membership of the Underground, having used the pistol to kill Maulreese Jackjaw.
- Carmine Crafted Blessing-Tipped Rifle: Moxxie briefly used Striker's own blessing-tipped sniper rifle against him to hold him at gunpoint, although the rifle was knocked out of his hands unintentionally by Loona.
- Colt M1911A1 Pistols: Moxxie uses two identical Glock pistols, sometimes fitted with suppressors, as his primary weapons to fight his opponents or hunt his targets.
- Crossbow: Moxxie often employs a crossbow when in stealth or long-range situations.
- Flamethrower: Moxxie owns a flamethrower that he can use to immolate I.M.P's victims.
- Gas Grenades: Moxxie occasionally employs small canisters that release irritating or lethal fumes. The fumes cause severe coughing and difficulty breathing, followed by death shortly after.
- Hunting Knife: Moxxie very rarely uses a serrated hunting knife in combat situations as a last resort.
- LWRC SMG46: Moxxie's preferred machine gun, most often while engaging in combat.
- M1921 Thompson Machine Gun: Moxxie carries a Thompson machine gun as one of his many available weapons on the job. He used this weapon against Angel Dust and Fergus during I.M.P's attempt to kill them.
- Marlin Model 1898 Shotgun: Moxxie used this shotgun to hold Ralphie and his children at gun-point, although he did not use it to kill them.
- Remington 887 Shotgun: Moxxie was given this weapon by Blitzø to kill several D.H.O.R.K. agents.
- Revolvers: Moxxie carries around three revolvers, one beige, one dark, and one gold, when on the job. While fighting D.H.O.R.K.S and the Egg Bois with I.M.P, Moxxie dual-wielded two golden revolvers against their assailants.
- Sniper Rifle: Moxxie's secondary weapon is a scoped sniper rifle which allows him to kill his targets from a long range.
Equipment[]
- Binoculars: Moxxie employs binoculars to spy on his targets and their activities from a far distance.
- Gas Mask: Moxxie owns a gas mask used to protect his face and eyes from the intense heat of his flamethrower as well as to protect himself from the fumes of his gas grenades.
Relationships[]
Family[]
Millie[]
- "Of all the imps in Hell, it's for her that I fell. Oh, Millie~"
- — Moxxie about Millie in "Oh, Millie".
Millie is Moxxie's wife and co-worker. The two have a very healthy, loving, and positive relationship, enough to rival Lucifer Magne and Lilith themselves. They spend much of their time dating, and cooking dinner together, and Moxxie frequently writes love songs on a whim to serenade his wife. Moxxie also adores and practically fawns over Millie’s sadistic tendencies, singing about how much he gets turned on by her brutality and the screams of her victims. Moxxie is also very faithful and loyal to Millie, turning down advances from the succubi due to being a married man. Millie deeply reciprocates Moxxie's feelings, as she is very protective of her husband, not even hesitating to kill a giant fish monster that attempted to devour Moxxie, and brutally attack Striker to save him from being strangled to death. The two tend to become highly passionate when in the heat of battle, as shown by their passionate making out with each other while fighting the C.H.E.R.U.B at the opera house.
During I.M.P's mission to kill the hotel crew, Millie was very supportive of her husband as she knew the mission was taking an emotional toll on him as he did not think they were going to survive. Millie could be seen comforting Moxxie after he was captured and tortured by the remaining members of the Underground, and letting him rest his head on her lap. When I.M.P were partying at The Deep End, Moxxie and Millie could be seen enjoying their time together and even having an impromptu date. When Moxxie was fatally shot by Fergus and fell into the ocean of Envy during I.M.P's third attempt to kill the hotel crew, Millie immediately abandoned her fight with Vaggie in an attempt to rescue him, diving into the vast ocean with no hesitation to search for her fallen husband. She was unable to locate her husband and nearly drowned while saving him, having to be rescued by Blitzø, Vortex, and Scorpius. When Vortex informed Millie of her husband's fate, she went into a state of panicked denial, screaming that there had to be something done to save him while crying uncontrollably. Upon accepting Moxxie's fate and that there was nothing they could have done to save him, Millie screamed at the team that they couldn't leave his body down in the ocean before being given a comforting hug by Scorpius as she cried into his shoulder. She remained inconsolable afterward, mourning the death of her husband and swearing to kill the hotel crew for what they did to Moxxie, as well as promising to kill Lucifer himself for being the one truly responsible for his death.
Allies[]
Blitzø[]
Blitzø is Moxxie's boss whom Moxxie frequently attempts to advise on how to run a business, and is often played up as the straight man to Blitzø's antics. Blitzø frequently treats Moxxie with very little respect, only briefly acknowledging his presence whenever it suits his needs, before skipping to what he would rather focus on, which frustrates Moxxie. Moxxie's personal view of their relationship being strictly employer-employee often puts him at odds with Blitzø's view of the company being a family. Understandably, Moxxie hates it whenever Blitzø stalks him and his wife after work hours. Regardless, there have been multiple hints of positivity in Moxxie's relationship with Blitzø. Moxxie is willing to stick his neck out for Blitzø, as he came to his boss' defense when Eddie was roasting him, and briefly smiled when Blitzø brought him and the others in a group hug. Blitzø is capable of returning the affection every now and then, only to often immediately deny his helpfulness afterward. At one point, Blitzø rescued and defended Moxxie from Striker during his attempt to assassinate Stolas. At one point while the two were captured, Blitzø confessed to Moxxie that the only reason he is hard on him most of the time is because he knows how capable Moxxie is at his job, and only wants him to stop worrying about what others are going to think about said job because he is good at it and Blitzø wants him to take pride in his work.
Loona[]
Loona is Moxxie's co-worker. While they are still considered allies regardless due to their loyalties, Loona is a frequent source of anger and frustration for Moxxie, with him becoming annoyed or angry with her due to her toxic, unprofessional attitude. At one point, he referred to her as a "homeless meth addict that Blitzø leaves in charge of the phones", to which Loona responded by flipping him the bird.
When Moxxie was seemingly killed during I.M.P's mission to kill the hotel crew, Loona could be seen frowning deeply as Vortex informed Blitzø and Millie of his fate, implying that, for all their past squabbles and arguments, a part of Loona did not want him to die.
Vaggie[]
TBA
Angel Dust[]
Shortly after I.M.P joined the hotel crew until the situation with Lucifer blew over, Angel and Moxxie managed to form a friendship with each other, despite Moxxie nearly killing Angel numerous times. Sharing drinks with each other, they grew a strong dynamic with each of them balancing out each other's problems. They were able to bond over their mutual daddy issues and how they both came from crime families. When Moxxie lamented how difficult the mob life was, Angel, knowing that feeling all too well, said that although the mob life was difficult, it was also rewarding, in a sense.
Scorpius[]
Moxxie is very fearful of Scorpius for his past deeds and reputation. When he and Blitzø were captured and briefly employed by Scorpius, Moxxie tried his best to not arouse the hellcat's ire, unlike Blitzø, respectfully addressing him as "Your Lordship", "Lord of Wrath" or similar titles. Moxxie also initially objected to stealing Scorpius' legendary fire axe when Blitzø suggested it. Regardless of Moxxie's politeness, Scorpius still desired his brutal death for stealing his axe.
During the briefing in Lucifer's auditorium to explain to I.M.P and their "allies" the capabilities of the Happy Hotel's crew members, Scorpius showed Moxxie a badly drawn image of him decapitating the imp as a non-verbal death threat, which made Moxxie gulp in fear and slumps down in his seat to avoid Scorpius' sight line. Once on the mission to kill the Happy Hotel crew, Scorpius attempted to kill and devour Moxxie twice while on the mission, only to be stopped by Blitzø and Striker, and Millie respectively. When Striker opted to kill Scorpius for being a liability, Moxxie surprisingly objected to killing the hellcat, although this was mostly out of pragmatism as Scorpius was the strongest among the team. Scorpius' tumultuous relationship with Moxxie seemingly softened after the hellcat befriended Millie, who convinced Scorpius to not kill his "friends".
Enemies[]
Striker[]
Striker is perhaps Moxxie's most notable adversary. Their interactions were antagonistic from the start, with Striker going out of his way to humiliate and upstage Moxxie every chance he could, from goading him into trying to slay a giant hog for dinner so he could show Moxxie up after, to singing a song about how much Moxxie sucks after he got licked in the Pain Games. Their rivalry came to a head when Moxxie discovered Striker's plan to assassinate Stolas using a sniper rifle of holy properties. Striker attempted to murder Moxxie to silence him, although he was saved by his wife, Millie.
Although Striker overpowered Millie, he opted not to kill her or her husband as he figured he would have more leverage against Blitzø. Moxxie later confronted Striker again with Blitzø to back him up, and the two would have succeeded in killing Striker had it not been for Loona's late arrival.
When Striker was enlisted to help I.M.P in their mission to kill the Happy Hotel crew, it was demonstrated that not much had changed between Striker and Moxxie, with Striker mocking Moxxie's concern for his teammates and criticizing his battle strategies. At one point, Striker challenged Moxxie to a shooting contest, where they discovered that they were more or less evenly matched. Striker also continued to upstage Moxxie, breathing fire on a pile of wood Moxxie was futilely attempting to light, which indirectly (perhaps intentionally) caught Moxxie's arm on fire.

Maulreese Jackjaw[]
When Moxxie was sent by Blitzø to infiltrate the Underground so that I.M.P could steal their array of angelic weapons, Maulreese Jackjaw, the leader of the Underground, was the only member of the group who saw potential in Moxxie, giving him a job cleaning weapons and maintain supplies after Moxxie had impressed him. Over the course of a week, Moxxie would develop a genuine friendship with Maulreese and the Underground despite his intentions regarding their weapons, even growing a father-son relationship with Maulreese (which Moxxie possibly desired, due to never having much of a father in his life). He deeply appreciated how Maulreese bothered to listen to his advice and congratulate him on a job well done, something Blitzø almost never did.
When Maulreese revealed to Moxxie that he had been planning on taking over Pentagram City and using the Underground's weapons to massacre anyone who stood in their path, Moxxie tearfully shot Maulreese in the heart using a blessed handgun he took from one of their stockpiles. Moxxie apologized to a dying Maulreese, saying he was not willing to compromise his morals just to impress his superiors. Even after discovering Maulreese's true intentions, Moxxie was devastated after killing him, and even more when the rest of I.M.P proceeded to slaughter the rest of the Underground, who Moxxie had befriended, and was left temporarily forlorn following the event until Blitzø unexpectedly congratulated him on his job.

Chapter 4[]
- "Fergus: Go crawl back up Satan's asshole!
Moxxie: (twitching) You dare say the Devil's name in vain?!
Fergus: I met your god and he can suck my dick!
Moxxie: She will have your head on a stick, you- you charlatan!!" - — Moxxie and Fergus arguing during I.M.P's first attempt to kill the hotel crew.
- "Maulreese: There's somethin' special about you, son. I'm glad to have you aboard.
Moxxie: Thank you, sir.
Maulreese: 'Sir'? (chuckles) Nah, call me Maulreese.
Moxxie: (eyes widen) O- Okay... (smiles warmly) Thank you, Maulreese." - — Maulreese praising Moxxie.
Chapter 5[]
- "Angel Dust: You got daddy issues, too?! (laughs) Welcome to tha club, pal! My pa used to beat me and my brotha black and blue! I drowned my first schmuck and got my first revolver when I was seven years old, but, hey, that's nepotism for ya.
Moxxie: What is the point of this? Are you trying to remind me of my childhood trauma?
Angel Dust: You wanna talk about trauma?! When I was 24, my pa put a revolver to my head and said 'if yer a f--, I'll paint the walls with yer brains!' So, naturally, I went out to tha nearest bordello and fucked the first guy I saw. (bursts out laughing before noticing Moxxie looking away with a frown) ...I guess the point is, I know how ya feel. I'm here for ya, y'know? What else did he do to ya?
Moxxie: Well... He beat me, and um... (fighting back tears) He... My mother...
Angel Dust: Really? Jesus, fuck... My pa was and still is a massive piece of greasy shit, but... He loved our ma. Congrats on gettin' tha fuck outta there. And, hey, you turned out alright! Bet yer pa said some bullshit 'bout you bein' nothin' without the mob, but you got away from him, got yerself a good job, a wife, yer happy 'n shit. Way I see it, that makes you better than me. And for yer sake, I hope yer pa fuckin' dies. ...Want me to kill 'im?
Moxxie: W- WHAT?!
Angel Dust: Hey! I may look like a polished, fine china doll, but I don't break easy! Just gotta get Chuck's blessing, dress myself up like a pretty dame, head down to Greed, maybe suck his dick, wait 'till he falls asleep, aaaaaand-
Moxxie: NO! ...Look, I appreciate it, sir, but that... That won't be necessary. I just want to leave that part of my life behind and... (looks at Millie, Loona, and Blitzø from afar) Appreciate what I have now.
Angel Dust: Eh, fine. But, hey, (he pats Moxxie on the back) me 'n you is trauma brothas now. You got no say in it.
Moxxie: ....Oookaaay?" - — Angel and Moxxie bonding over their pasts.
- "Azazel: From this point on, you're my manservant. If you know what's good for you, you'll do everything I want without any bitchin' or moanin'. You got that?
Moxxie: With all due respect, (suddenly shouting) I AM NOT YOUR MENIAL, SIR! Was us decimating an entire army not enough to satisfy you?! Why, if I had any sense, I'd say that you're just an insecure bully who pushes everybody around to make yourself feel stronger!
Azazel: (sarcastically) Oh, no! I- I- I'm a BULLY?!?! (on his knees) OH, MY STARS! THE MANLET THINKS I'M A BULLY!!! (he bursts into laughter before smacking Moxxie with enough force to send him flying into a wall)
Millie: MOX!!! (she rushes over to him, kneeling beside him and holding his head) Speak to me, sweetie! Are you alright?!
Moxxie: (slurring his words with small, screeching demonic birds flying in circles over his head) Das such a bootiful sound! (looks at Mille, still stunned) Are I'm am in Heaven..? (he falls unconscious)" - — Moxxie confronts Azazel and suffers for it.
- "Moxxie: (he jolts back up and looks over to Millie, still very dazed) Don't you not worry, Willie! (Azazel's soldiers begin dragging him away from Millie) I'll get us on outta here, and we'll save your precious, beautiful pets from Bezzleboog- uh, Beetlebug!
Millie: Oh! (tearing up) I LOVE YA, MOX!!! Even when you're speakin' in tongues!
Moxxie: I love you too, Billie!" - — Moxxie and Millie while being separated from each other.
- "Moxxie: Just to be clear... You don't have any sinister, ulterior motives once you get you want, right...?
Abaddon: (sighs) ...Everyone you see before you has been utterly fucked by Azazel.
Moxxie: UGH!
Abaddon: Wait, what?
Moxxie: When Azazel said he loved to rape and pillage, I thought he meant the thievery of any undamaged goods, 'cuz rape doesn't always mean-
Abaddon: What, NO! He didn't rape us! Not that way!!!
Moxxie: (sighs in relief) Oh, thank badness...
Abaddon: But he did destroy our homes. Forced us into battle, our loved ones worked to death or forced into his ranks, our worlds turned upside down... He murdered my parents in front of me (shows Moxxie his skull necklace) and forced me to wear their flayed skulls as a trinket. I used to see it as a curse... But, now it drives me to end his tyranny once and for all! I liberated my fellow soldiers, and now we, together, fight to the death with wrath and valor against the imp king! If goin' down in a blaze of glory means bringin' that cousin-fuckin' yokel down with us... (raises his spear) THEN! SO! BE IT! (the Uprising cheers as Moxxie darts his eyes awkwardly; Abaddon uses a knife to slits his palm before giving the knife to Moxxie and extending his hand to the imp) Join us, brother.
Moxxie: ...Okay, just to be clear, you don't have any blood diseases, correct? Sepsis is very common in the ring of Wrath and my great uncle died from sickle cell disease, and- and... (Abaddon glares at him intensely) ...Fine, with the unsanitary forging of a newfound partnership! (Moxxie begins nervously slitting his palm at an extremely slow pace, making a high-pitched squealing noise the entire time as Abaddon and the Uprising wait awkwardly for him to finish; after a full minute, Moxxie finishes cutting his palm and falls to his knees, panting and holding his hand with tears in his eyes)
Abaddon: ...Y'know, usually we slit our hands pretty fast? Just to get it over and done with. We don't torture ourselves.
Moxxie: OH, REALLY?!" - — Moxxie making a deal with Abaddon.
- "Azazel: I think your wife's perfume has gotten to your head. (he violently punches Moxxie, nearly caving the imp's face in) What did I say about pullin' anythin' funny?! (continues savagely beating Moxxie) DO YOU SEE ME LAUGHIN'?!
Millie: MOX, NOO!!!! (she tries to stop Azazel but is restrained by dozens of men)
Azazel: (to Moxxie) You ain't a real man, you fuckin' pussywhipped femboy! (he begins strangling Moxxie, who desperately gasps for air and claws at Azazel's arms) I would LOVE to kill ya right now, you pathetic, fuckin' rat... (he releases Moxxie, who gasps for air) But that would be a waste.
Moxxie: (coughing and spitting blood, but manages a defiant grin) Yeah... yeah, I do.
Azazel: (he stares down at Moxxie) What?
Moxxie: (strained laughter) About... you laughing... you're an ugly son of a bitch when you're enjoying yourself, Azazel.
Azazel: (pauses, visibly irritated) What the hell are you blabbering about, huh? Your brain ain't 'harmonizin', is it?
Moxxie: Nah... (Moxxie coughs blood) Just thinking that you must really be starved for attention if this is how you show your affection. (laughs) If you wanted to date me, you should've asked, big guy... (Moxxie laughs wheezily)
Azazel: (enraged) W- What bullshit are you sayin', boy?!
Moxxie: (he hisses out a laugh before staring at Azazel with determination)...You're not gonna break me, Azazel. I've been through worse, and I'm not gonna bow down to your pathetic power games. And neither is Millie... Keep hitting me, if that makes your dick hard. But remember, every blow is just another reminder that I'll always be stronger than your sick mind will ever be!
Azazel: (Azazel stares down at Moxxie with fiery eyes and adjusts his cowboy hat) You got some fire in you, boy... Lemme tell ya, y'might be mostly useless, but all's I gotta do is put a revolver to your wife's head, a little motivation, and just like that, the blood starts flyin'. (laughs) ...But you still crossed me. So, tomorrow, you and Scorpius are gonna fight to the death so you can earn your masculinity, or die tryin'. I know how much she means to both of you yellow-bellied pansies, so if I don't get a body she'll end up just another head to add to the pikes outside my castle. Hope ya heal fast, boy. Then again, y'all might have an easy target, considerin' how much of a f-- Scorpius has turned into. (he spits on the horribly injured Moxxie and stomps on Scorpius' tail before chuckling cruelly and walking away as Millie falls to her knees beside Moxxie, crying)" - — Azazel to Moxxie.
- "Blitzø: (Moxxie and Millie sit side by side in the tented back of a carriage, which is being driven by Blitzø with Spindle on the reigns, trotting down a bumpy road. The two lovebirds are bruised and exhausted from their recent ordeal. Blitzø shouts back at them with a grin.) Alright, M&M! Next stop, rescuing your fucking family, Mils! Now, hang tight! (He looks back, seeing the two comforting each other and holding each other close from the ordeal and Scorpius' death. They don't even acknowledge what Blitzø whatsoever. His expression softens - perhaps from loneliness, perhaps from pity. He almost considers joining them in the back, but changes his mind. He looks forward, kicking his feet.) Or, hey! Maaaaybe you two could use some time alone back there... (He huffs and looks forward on the lonesome road ahead.)
Moxxie: (In the carriage, he and Millie sit in comfortable silence, holding hands and leaning against each other, physically and emotionally worn out but visibly relieved.) Never thought I’d say this, but after everything... this ring almost feels... peaceful, for the first time. I think Scorpius would have loved to see it.
Millie: (With a tired smile, gazing onto the countryside.) He did, Mox. He did. [...] Ah can't lie. All this peace and quiet... There's a certain beauty to it... (She looks over to Moxxie, her eyes glowing softly, with love.) Mox... There's a lil' somethin' ah've been wantin' to say...
Moxxie: (He looks over at her, his blackened eyes widening.) Sure. You can tell me anything.
Millie: (She takes a breath, then looks up at him, taking his hand and slowly putting it on her abdomin. Moxxie's eyes widen and he shifts back in surprise, realizing what's happening. Millie leans in, putting her forehead against is.) Ah'm pregnant, Moxxie. And... the babies are yours.
Moxxie: (Moxxie’s eyes widen in shock. He's processing her words. He blinks. Then blinks again. He shakes his head, clearly overwhelmed.) Wait... (Tears of joy fill his eyes.) I’m... You’re...
Millie: (She giggles, tears welling in her eyes as well.) Ah swear to Satan, honey!
Moxxie: (He covers his mouth, a waterfall of tears on his face.) You're-... You're actually...
Millie: (A waterfall coming from her eyes, too. She uses her finger to trace a pentagram over her chest, like how a human would cross their heart while making a promise.) Mark mah heart and let flames fly.
Moxxie: We’re... Oh, my stars... (He brings his hands to his face, his shoulders shaking as he cries in joy. He's BAWLING. And that's okay.)
Millie: (She sniffles.) Oh, Mox... (She puts her hands on his shoulders, pulling him as close as possible.) It’s really happenin’, sweetie pie. We’re gonna be parents!!
Moxxie: (After a few seconds, looks up at her, tears streaming down his cheeks, and a wide, joyful smile breaking through. He's choking up.) Mils... I- I can’t even... This is... (He takes Millie's hands, smiling tearfully.) It's the best thing I’ve ever heard.
Millie: Ah know. ...Ah know. (She wraps her arms around his neck, looking deep into his eyes.) Ah'm sorry I made ya crah...
Moxxie: (He chuckles and blushes, rubbing the back of his head.) At this rate, I fear I won't have any tears to spare for all the diaper changing...
Millie: (She giggles.) Oh, kiss me, you silly man!!! (She practically pounces on Moxxie with enough force to rattle the wagon slightly. They both laugh and wrap each other in a tight, tearful embrace, kissing with unbridled passion. They stay like that, holding each other as the sun dips lower behind them, casting a warm, golden glow over their faces...]
Blitzø: (Shouting back.) HEY, MOXXIE, STOP FUCKIN' BOUNCING BACK THERE!!! I KNOW YOU TWO HAVEN'T FUCKED IN WEEKS, BUT THIS SATANDAMN ROAD IS ALREADY BUMPY AS CHERNABOG COCK!!!!" - — Millie reveals her pregnancy to Moxxie.
- "Beelzebub: (giggles) Well, you've made it this far, haven't you? Quit shaking in your hooves and hit me with your best shot! Let's find out what bravery and heroics get you. You and I both know this little stunt is meaningless. (Moxxie begins sweating, gripping his rifle shakily) ...No? (he groans) Fine. How could the Runt of I.M.P possibly hope to defeat a Ringleader, anyway? (he makes a dismissive shooing gesture, speaking in a bored, detached tone) Ok, start running, begging, cowering, all that jazz. Let's get this over with. I have PLENTY of imps to slaughter once I'm through playing with you.
Moxxie: (while beginning to panic, he looks out a hole in the Hive to see the thousands of imps he freed from Beelzebub escaping or fighting against their slavers; refusing to let them be killed or recaptured, he glares hatefully at the Ringleader, aiming his rifle at him with determination) No. ...I know I don't have a chance in Heaven of killing you, but if dying here means those imps have a chance to live their lives for even just one more day... then so be it.
Beelzebub: (he looks at Moxxie with a raised eyebrow before giggling) How inspiring. Now you get to die a man." - — Beelzebub challenging Moxxie.
- "Crimson: Hahaha! I had a feelin' that dumb broad was just a beard! What kinda pathetic freak are ya, Mox?! Datin' some drug-addicted whore like Angel Dust!
Moxxie: W-Whuh? ...Crim, we're not... (Moxxie's eyes widen) You... do know that bisexual men can have platonic male friends, right?
Henroin: That's the biggest piece of bullshit I've ever heard.
Crimson: EXACTLY! (to Moxxie) You think I'm stupid! You seriously think gays like you are capable of befriendin' another guy and not wantin' to get in his pants?!
Angel Dust: Ay, Mr. Fuhgeddaboudit, me and Mox is like brothas. Trauma brothas, ta be exact.
Henroin: (Henroin uses one of his scorpion legs to stomp on Angel's foot, impaling it) What trauma, Anthony? Havin' to wear a suit instead of a frilly pink dress? Havin' a meltdown while decidin' which fedora goes with yer eyes? Having to frantically remove all that fuckin' makeup when I came over for a visit?! (Henroin removes his leg from Angel's foot; he leans in and blows cigar smoke in Moxxie's face) You must be a special kinda stupid to try and get close to Anthony, sonny. (Henroin laughs) Eh, who am I kiddin'? You two deserve each other. Yer both disgraces to the mafia. Me 'n' Crim run a mafia, not a gay pride parade.
Angel Dust: (snickers) Wait a minute... (Angel bursts out laughing) Youz thinks we're lovers?! (Angel and Moxxie share a look before mutually bursting into laughter)
Moxxie: Classic!
Angel Dust: (to Moxxie) Oh, brotha! They's, they's thinks we's-! (Angel and Moxxie go down on the floor from laughing) Oh, shit! That's fuckin' rich!" - — Henroin and Crimson confront Angel Dust and Moxxie.

Vortex: (he shares a sad look with Loona) We tried. We really did, but... He didn't make it. (Millie gasps softly as Blitzø has a look of shock) There wasn't anything we could do. I'm sorry...
Millie: No. (choking back tears) No, no, no, no, no. He ain't dead. He ain't dead. He AIN'T dead! There has to be SOMETHIN' we can do! (Vortex sadly shakes his head; Millie holds her head as tears stream down her face) This ain't- Why did this- This ain't happening, okay? He's still...
Vortex: (he reaches to Millie) I'm sorry it had to be this-
Millie: (she hisses and swipes his hand away) STOP! Just, everybody stop. He's alive... I know he's alive, just stop... (she hangs her head, crying for several seconds before rising) We can't leave 'im down there. We have to go back! (she tries walking to the submarine's driving panel only for Scorpius to hold her back) We have to- Stop! (she starts futilely thrashing around) We can't just leave 'im down there! - "We gather here to honor the life of a good friend... A- A good husband, a good man... Moxxie. He was the best of us. I just want to say I'm sorry. (voice breaking) I took him for granted and was shitty to him. (as Blitzø wells up with tears, Verosika stares intently at him) I had someone I considered my best friend in the seven rings, my life partner. Always put up with my dreams and other bullshit. And one day, he, uh... Just left me. Up until this point, I spent my life looking for that next person, that next friend who would put up with my bullshit. (he looks at the photo of himself enlisting Moxxie) It took me a long time... To realize that next friend was with me all along."

Fergus: Did Lucifer put you and your crew up to this?!
Blitzø: Who fuckin' cares?
Fergus: (after a long and grueling fight, Fergus manages to pin Blitzø against a wall) I DIDN'T KILL YOUR FRIEND! LUCIFER DID! HE KILLED HIM! ...You know you can't win this, that it won't end well for any of us. I'm sorry it had to come to this, but it doesn't have to end with us killing each other. You'll just be giving him what he wants. You can break the cycle." - — Blitzø and Fergus during their fight.
