- "One second I'm convinced it'll get better, and the next I'm back in that pit of grief and loss. I lost Dad not a minute after we found each other. I try to move on... I've tried so many things. Reading new books, seeking new stars, talking to the few people I have left... But it's like a part of me is still stuck in that old life. But... There's good days... Dad told me to not let grief hold me back forever. And... I can't just mope around forever, can I? He wanted me to live my life, fall in love... ...I'd like to give all that a try."
- — Octavia.

The possibility of Stolas abandoning her for Blitzø looms over Octavia, occasionally driving her to take extreme measures.

Events of Hazbin Hotel: Journey to the Light
Chapter 5
In "A Complete Shitshow", Octavia is dragged along by Stella to attend a meeting that Lucifer is holding with all of Hell's nobility in response to Leviathan's attempted usurpation. In the hall of Castle Magne, Octavia spots Seviathan and, having heard about what happened in the Envy Ring, rushed over to the prince and hugged him tightly, relieved to see that he was alive.
In a tense encounter, Octavia and Hellsa engage in a heated exchange after Hellsa derides Stolas by the Goetia prince's back. Hellsa mocks Octavia's family situation, particularly her father beating on her mother, and Stolas potentially running off with Blitzø. Octavia stands up for her dad, leading to a confrontation where Octavia challenges Hellsa's bullying tactics, asserting that true power comes from caring for others, not just wealth and influence. The argument escalates, with Octavia maintaining her composure while Hellsa grows increasingly aggressive. Octavia smugly taunts Hellsa for being unable to intimidate her despite her wealth and power, provoking Hellsa into nearly attacking her. Seviathan intervenes, prompting Hellsa to leave, ultimately showing a camaraderie between Octavia and Seviathan.
In the Grand Hall, Octavia encounters Fin, who gives her a friendly warning her not to provoke Hellsa, and playfully praises her anger. Octavia dismisses his concerns and questions if he needs more steroids. Fin showcases his muscles to a disgusted Octavia, asserting that he doesn't rely on steroids for his physique. He criticizes Octavia's taste in music and hobbies, suggesting she embrace a different vibe. Octavia defends her music preferences, explaining how they provide solace. The conversation becomes disjointed as Fin briefly dozes off and misconstrues Octavia's words. Octavia's exasperation grows, and she walks away as Fin continues his antics.
After the gathering, Seviathan and Octavia engage in a conversation to reconnect. During their talk, Octavia confides in Seviathan about her past. She reveals that she was present alongside her mother when Leviathan unleashed a flood upon Hell. During this chaotic event, Stella retreated to the highest chamber of her palace, inadvertently leaving Octavia outside. Fortunately, Stolas arrived in the nick of time and shielded Octavia from harm's way, despite Stella's attempts to distance her from him.
In "Over the Moon in Ecstasy", Octavia discovers that Stolas is labeled a fugitive and that Stella and Andrealphus are moving into Stolas' mansion in his stead. She is very confused by this and tries to get answers out of Stella, but she bluntly dismisses Octavia, leaving the her frustrated.
In "A Dream Realized", Octavia wakes up to a rainy, somber morning and wanders throughout Stolas' palace, noticing how much it has changed since Stella took over; Stolas' plants have withered away, his book collection is being used for kindling, all of his pictures and portraits of himself and Octavia have been replaced with portraits of Stella and Andrealphus, and Stolas' observatory is being dismantled by imps on Stella's orders. Fed up with not having answers, Octavia confronts Stella after she returns from the spa with Andrealphus, begging her mother to tell her what is going on. Stella begins insidiously manipulating Octavia, declaring that Stolas only ever saw her as a precautionary heir and faked being happy with her so that he could abandon her when she came of age. Octavia is devastated by this news, screaming that Stolas always told her that he would never leave her, and everything would be okay. Octavia breaks down in tears, inconsolable as her worst fear has, in her mind, come true. Stella dismisses the heartbroken Octavia, who returns to her room, angrily throwing a framed picture of herself and Stolas against a wall before breaking down in tears on her bed.
Later that night, Octavia finds herself stargazing and crying, glaring at the star she and Stolas created together, wondering if the star meant nothing to him as well as their bond. Andrealphus exits the palace and approaches Octavia, seemingly comforting his niece and playing into her internal fears, claiming that, while Stolas may have "abandoned" her, he and Stella will still be there to guide her. A hurt and tearful Octavia angrily inquired why her own father considers her a burden, to which Andrealphus responds that Stolas made a countless amount of mistakes in his life, but that Octavia is not one of them and perhaps the only good thing he accomplished in his existence.
To take Octavia's mind off of Stolas, Andrealphus teleports himself and Octavia to Cocytus, the frozen lake and coldest location of Hell. Octavia begins shivering and suffering in the cold, until Andrealphus tells her to channel the cold and focus on the essence of her power she inherited from her mother's side. When Octavia listens to her uncle's instructions, she is no longer shivering nor cold, and feels amazing in the frozen climate. Andrealphus tells Octavia that Stolas hates her mother's side of the family so much that he has held back her potential, but promises to help her unlock her full potential. Octavia is very happy and pleased with herself until Andrealphus throws a snowball at her face, which saddens her at first, until her uncle throws another one. Smirking, Octavia creates and summons her own snowballs, hurling them at her uncle and creating a snow fort to protect herself. The two engage each other in a snowball fight, bonding over their abilities.
In "All's Fair in Wrath and War", Octavia stands alongside her mother as she is holding a public rally. As Stella spreads lies about Stolas and issues public statements about her recent laws regarding imps, Octavia is completely lost in thought and zones out of the entire rally. When they return home, Octavia recalls a childhood memory of Stolas and herself watching stars on a room in which he told her that he would always be with her, even in potential death. Refusing to believe Stolas would leave her, Octavia decides to do some investigating and find out the truth once and for all.
Octavia looks outside her window to see Corey and Peel speaking with Stella and Andrealphus, informing the two that Stolas is still missing. After two squires leave when Stella orders them to double their search, Octavia goes into her "ninja mode" and begins tailing the two angelic apples, sneaking out of the mansion and avoiding Stella's palace guards in the process. Corey and Peel somehow do not see Octavia, allowing her to eavesdrop on their conversation and discover that Stolas is on the run and being hunted by Hell's authorities. More pressingly, it is revealed through their conversation that Stella was the one who told Lucifer about Stolas' deal with I.M.P.
Octavia tries to stealthily make her way back to the mansion, only to be confronted by Bethesda, Andrealphus, and an angry Stella the second she enters the front door. Stella furiously demands to know why Octavia had left the palace, but Octavia is having none of Stella's lies and berates her mother for putting Stolas in danger and telling her that he had abandoned her, all in an attempt to turn her against him. Stella blames everything that has transpired on Stolas, and reveals to Octavia that she plans on marrying Bethesda and ruling over the Envy Ring with her, trying to sway Octavia with promises of power. This only hammers in to Octavia that Stella has only ever cared about power and influence. Octavia declares that she is leaving Stella to find and be with Stolas, but when she tries to leave, Stella grabs Octavia by the arm, refusing to let her go. When Octavia shoves Stella off of her to escape, Stella furiously hits Octavia in the face with enough force to send her to the ground, leaving her face bloodied and bruised. Scared for her life, Octavia runs back to her room - while Stella taunts her along the way- and has an emotional breakdown.
In "A Behemoth of Fun", Octavia is suffering following Stella announcing her engagement with Bethesda. She is mercilessly bullied at school and everyone in her household refuses to acknowledge her with the exception of reminding her to keep up appearances. Frustrated with her circumstances and fearing that she is losing most of the control in her life, Octavia cuts her hair short during an emotional breakdown. When Stella notices this the next morning, she is furious at Octavia, ordering her to wear hair extensions in public and telling her to not be seen by others. Conversely, Andrealphus compliments her new look in an extremely backhanded way, cheerfully saying that she looks like a "proper dyke".
Later that night, Charlie pays a visit to the Goetia mansion, where Stella requests the princess to take Octavia off of her hands temporarily while they rearrange the mansion, but specifically orders the princess to not take her to the Hazbin Hotel as she does not want Octavia's reputation to be ruined. As Octavia exits the mansion, Stelle whispers to her daughter, menacingly gripping her shoulder and threatening her if she does anything to make their family look bad, before leaving. After Stella leaves, a forlorn Octavia is greeted at the bottom of the front stairs. Upon seeing Charlie, Octavia breaks down in tears and hugs the princess, practically clinging onto her. Charlie reciprocates and brings Octavia to her limo, where discuss some of what has been happening.
Octavia refuses to discuss the full matters of her situation, but tells Charlie about all the pain she has been going through. Charlie decides to go against Stella's wishes and brings Octavia to the Hazbin Hotel, where Octavia reunites with Loona. When the patients of the hotel continue to bother Octavia, Charlie frightens them off and brings Octavia to her own personal, secluded penthouse, knowing that she needs space and quiet. Charlie tells Octavia that she will be there for her whenever she needs her, before leaving. An exhausted Octavia lays on her bed and, to soothe herself to sleep, begins reciting a poem about constellations and the Zodiac signs, coincidentally while her father, Stolas, is doing the same in his observatory.
In "Opposites Attract", Octavia wakes up on her first day in the Hazbin Hotel, only to find it is not much different than waking up at the palace; the hotel's occupants fights and arguments are heard throughout the halls along with the destruction of property. She tunes out the commotion using headphones and heads down to the hotel's kitchen for coffee, which is being hogged by Baxter. At Squish's advice Octavia threatens to punch Baxter unless he moves, which causes Baxter to panic and bolt. After Niffty serves Octavia breakfast, she is joined by Charlie, who makes sure that everything is going well for Octavia. When Octavia nonchalantly confesses that things are not going well, Charlie suggests making some friends while at the hotel, albeit with the right people. Octavia tells Charlie that she does not need to mother her. Charlie insists she isn't trying to and simply does not want Octavia to feel alone and wants the hotel to seem like a second home to her.
Octavia decides to takes Charlie's advice, only to find that she does not quite click with the hotel's other occupants. Baxter is annoying and loud, Niffty's energy is overwhelming, and Angel Dust makes things extremely awkward by expressing his desire to sleep with her father. Octavia is soon met with Hellsa Von Eldritch, who had recently checked into the hotel, and the two begin arguing with each other, with Hellsa ridiculing Via's haircut and her parents' marriage falling apart, among other things. They are interrupted when Crymini sticks up for Octavia, who makes fun of Hellsa's hair-tentacles. Hellsa is ready to crush Crymini, but Octavia stands together with Crymini, so Hellsa decides that they are not worth her time and fucks off. Octavia tries to thank Crymini for sticking up for her, but Crymini insists that she only did it to put Hellsa in her place, storming off before Octavia could say anything else.
Later, Crymini and Octavia have another interaction in the hotel's bathroom when the sinner notices Octavia giving her a once-over in the mirror. She compliments Octavia on her new look for going against people's expectations of a royal heir. Octavia tells Crymini that cutting her hair was more of an exercise in control but thanks the hyena sinner anyway. Crymini, opening up more to Octavia, suggests that they go splash some cash and go shopping, which Octavia accepts.
The two head out to a nearby mall, where they try on many outfits, mainly punk and alternative/goth fashion, and bond and have fun with each other. However, their interrupted by a clique of girls who bully Octavia at Hell School, who spot Via despite her attempts to hide and begin ridiculing her. Crymini comes to Octavia's aid, even though she did not have to, and lashes out at Octavia's bullies, even attacking them. The mall's security breaks up the scuffle and are ready to throw Crymini out, but Octavia orders them to release the delinquent sinner. After everything settles down, Octavia, on the verge of tears, thanks Crymini for standing up to her again. Crymini looks away from Octavia and calmly gives the Goetia the same excuse for before, which Octavia smiles at, understanding what the sinner means.
With the night still young, Crymini introduces Octavia to a foreign concept of hers; mindless fun. They spend the rest of their time at the mall pranking people, laughing hysterically at their reactions. They are eventually caught and chased out of the mall by their victims, laughing all along the way.
Upon making it back to the hotel in time before curfew, Crymini joins Octavia in her penthouse at the princesses' behest, and encourages Octavia to have a drink with her, having smuggled rum from Husk's bar. Octavia tries to abstain, being underage, but buckles at Crymini's insistence. They share a bottle together with Octavia drinking first. She is only able to drink a little before spiraling into a coughing fit from the strong drink. Crymini laughs and shows off by drinking half the bottle before she spirals into a coughing fit as well, which amuses Octavia. They continue bonding until after midnight, sharing their interests with each other. However, a violent thunderstorm rolls in, causing Crymini to begin panicking due to her astrophobia. Octavia, feeling bad for Crymini and seeing her state of fear, tells her that she could read her a story to calm her down. Crymini gets defensive, accusing Octavia of babying her, but Via insists that it will make her feel at ease. After laying next to her in bed, Octavia reads Crymini a story about the stars and constellations, which, as Octavia had expected, puts Crymini much at ease, her mind taken off the storm. Crymini soon falls asleep, cuddling next to Octavia, who smiles before falling asleep herself shortly after, leaning her head on Crymini's.
In "Bring On the Night", Octavia, Loona, and Crymini decide to attend Fin's birthday celebration at his opulent mansion within the Envy Ring. The occasion sees an assembly of Hell's youthful and privileged demons, prompted by the news of Stolas' ominous pronouncement about the impending apocalypse. In response, Fin seizes the opportunity to orchestrate an unparalleled festivity in the depths of Hell. Octavia, Loona, and Crymini arrive at the party, though Octavia is visibly nervous as she is quite new to such rambunctious gatherings. Loon and Crymini encourage her, promising to beat up any frat boy who tries to make a pass at her. The trio are quickly greeted by Fin, who assumes Loona and Crymini to be Octavia's bodyguards, before subsequently resuming his revelry in the mansion's backyard.
While Octavia, Loona, and Crymini engage in investigative pursuits within Fin's mansion, the festivity takes a tumultuous turn, spilling its chaos well beyond the boundaries of Fin's abode. Amidst the revelry, within the mansion's interior, Hellsa keenly observes Octavia, Crymini, and Loona's prying actions. Eager to thwart their objectives, she employs manipulation tactics upon the party attendees, urging them to confine Octavia, Loona, and Crymini within a closet for a game of "Seven Minutes in Hell".
Under the orders of Hellsa, the partygoers move to force the trio to participate in the game, leading to Octavia and Crymini being locked in the closet together. Meanwhile, Loona narrowly escapes this unfortunate fate and embarks on a solo expedition throughout the expanse of Fin's mansion. While Loona is on her journey, Octavia and Crymini take a second to know each other in the closet, asking about their respective lives, teasing each other and laughing despite their predicament.
By this point, the once-celebratory atmosphere of Fin's party descends into chaotic mayhem, resembling more of a riot than a festive gathering. The heart of this disorder centers around Fin himself, who now finds himself perched upon an improvised "birthday boy" throne, his senses dulled by a combination of intoxication and substance-induced euphoria. After getting what they want, Loona busts Octavia and Crymini out of the closet, and the trio are forced to practically fight their way through a sea of crazy teenagers and successfully escape in one piece.
In "Bloody Valentine", through a series of mischievous antics, Pentious successfully swipes Charlie's grimoire. However, his enthusiasm is short-lived as he realizes he lacks the knowledge to perform the summoning. Seeking assistance, Pentious abruptly enters Octavia's room and awakens her. He impolitely demands her aid in conjuring a love demon, which Octavia questions the necessity of resorting to a demon for experiencing love. In response, Pentious candidly unveils his dilemma—he requires the love demon's services to scout potential partners. Octavia reminds him of the unreliability of demons, especially regarding matters as profound as true love. Overwhelmed, Pentious breaks into theatrical sobs, entreating Octavia to consider his plight of facing a solitary existence. Unnerved by his display, Octavia pleads for him to cease the tears and implores him not to exploit a demon for matchmaking. With tearful persistence, Pentious exits the room, leaving behind a trail of curses and continued weeping.
Pentious succeeds in conjuring a "love demon", which in reality is a malevolent spirit which preys on the insecurities of others. After the demon escapes in the hotel and causes a blackout, everybody spreads through the hotel to find it. Squish, Crymini, and Octavia are navigating through the dark hotel with a flashlight, attempting to find Valentine. Octavia seems unfazed by the ghostly situation, claiming to find beauty in horror. Crymini mocks this perspective, stating that it is only because Octavia lacks true horror experience. Octavia admits her curiosity and desire to study even dangerous spirits, leading to Crymini warning Octavia against her logic. Octavia sees that Crymini is trying to keep her safe and promises to not get hurt. Squish interrupts, pointing out the urgency of a ghost being loose. He reveals futuristic guns designed to dissolve ectoplasmic cells with antimatter bolts. Octavia declines the offer of a gun from Crymini. Squish anticipates finding the ghost quickly due to Pentious' fearful reaction. Suddenly, Valentine appears in a ghost-like form, causing Squish to panic and shoot wildly from cover. Valentine attempts to target Octavia, but Crymini ferociously wards him away from her.
In "Heaven Meets Hell", Octavia and Crymini are hanging out at Stylish Occult, trying on different alternative-style outfits, engaging in playful banter at the other's expense. Abruptly, a squire arrives to inform Octavia that Stella has summonsed her to Andrealphus' palace. The playful atmosphere turns emotional as Octavia and Crymini share a heartfelt goodbye, with Octavia thanking Crymini for teaching her to have fun. Octavia assures Crymini they'll cross paths again, but uncertainty shadows her words due to her mother's strict disapproval of her association with a rebellious sinner like Crymini.
Octavia arrives to Cocytus, where she is shortly welcomed back by Andrealphus. Curious about her activities, Andrealphus inquires about her recent endeavors. In order to protect both the Hazbin Hotel's residents and herself, Octavia lies and claims she became acquainted with the Pentagram City library. Andrealphus playfully teases Octavia, saying she could have perused his personal collection rather than go to a public library to be around the "riff-raff". He tours Octavia through his palace, during which he showcases his personal legions and an ostentatious, self-indulgent assortment of ice sculptures, Octavia's palace quarters are also revealed to her.
In an unexpected revelation, Andrealphus discloses his plan for Octavia to assume Stolas' position and legions once she reaches 18, expressing his intention to mentor her due to her limited grasp of wielding the grimoire. However, Octavia sternly sees through his ulterior motives and rejects the notion of becoming a pawn in Andrealphus' scheme, refusing to be manipulated by the Goetia marquis. Andrealphus pretends to find amusement in Octavia's independence and raises the question of what could change her stance. Subsequently, he confines Octavia within her room by freezing the door shut, obstructing her from interfering in his machinations.
Octavia angrily pounds on the door to her room, screaming at Andrealphus or his minions to release her. Seeing that her current method is going nowhere, Octavia slides to the ground and sulks, hugging her knees. In the midst of Octavia's confinement, a sudden appearance startles her — Izzi appears in her room. Baffled by his presence, Octavia questions the manner of his entry. Sidestepping her question, Izzi assumes a facade of concern for her safety. Resolutely, Octavia asserts her faith in Stolas' eventual support, and even if he doesn't appear, she believes in her capability to outwit her mother and Andrealphus. Acknowledging her determination, Izzi underscores that, unlike anyone Octavia trusts or cares about, namely Stolas and Charlie, he is the only one who is there for her at that moment. This perspective provokes introspection in Octavia. As he prepares to depart, Izzi entrusts her with a flare, a signal to summon him in dire circumstances, seemingly cementing his commitment to her well-being. Contemplating the flare, Octavia's gaze shifts from it to Izzi, who mysteriously vanishes. She regards the flare thoughtfully before pocketing it, revealing a newfound openness to Izzi.
In "Extermination Day Part 2: Live Fully, Love Forever", Octavia's anxiety-fueled pacing continues within the confines of her cocooned room at Cocytus, until a sudden ring on her smartphone pierces the silence – with Blitzø on the line. Irritation mingles with apprehension as she reluctantly answers the call. Concern etches its way into Blitzø's voice as he inquires about Octavia's well-being amidst the ongoing Extermination. Reluctantly, she reveals her dire predicament of being trapped within the ominous palace of Andrealphus. A horrified Blitzø absorbs this unsettling new until their conversation is abruptly shattered as Andrealphus' minions burst in, wrenching Octavia from her room and causing her phone to tumble to the ground. Panic ensues, with Octavia's desperate struggle and cries echoing through the line, intensifying Blitzø's unease. Without hesitation, the imp reaches out to Stolas, urgently relaying Octavia's dire circumstances. Together, Stolas and Blitzø embark on a frantic race to liberate Octavia from her perilous ordeal.
Octavia found herself forcefully ushered into the heart of Andrealphus' grand palace, where her uncle and Stella awaited her arrival with cruel anticipation. Andrealphus' minions wasted no time, binding her tightly with sacred ropes, all while he tauntingly declared her fate as nothing more than bait to lure Stolas into a perilous trap. Octavia's fury drove her to resist; she spat in Andrealphus' face, causing him to recoil and move to strike her across the face.
Amidst Andrealphus' menacing stance, Stolas abruptly materialized within the foreboding confines of Andrealphus' palace. Stella, gripping Octavia firmly, brandished a knife as she assessed the situation. Recognizing the immense power that Stolas wielded, she nervously hurled a holy rope toward his feet, demanding his submission to its sacred restraint. In a fit of rage, Stolas vehemently ordered Stella to release the trembling Octavia, his anger so intense that it caused the very ice within the palace to fracture. Yet, Stella countered with a chilling ultimatum, vowing to end Octavia's life unless Stolas acquiesced to her demands. Reluctantly, Stolas yielded, allowing Andrealphus' servants to ensnare him in the consecrated bonds, rendering him powerless and vulnerable to their mercy.
Andrealphus and Stella relished every moment as they prolonged Stolas' suffering and subjected him to relentless humiliation, tormenting him while a distraught Octavia was forced to bear witness to the agonizing spectacle. Throughout this harrowing ordeal, Stella forcibly dragged Stolas closer to the horrified Octavia, compelling him to divulge a painful truth he had desperately tried to shield his beloved daughter from: his inescapable fate of meeting a tragic and untimely demise. Weakened and in profound anguish, Stolas tearfully confessed the grim reality to Octavia, who was left in utter horror and disbelief. Amidst the despair that enveloped them, a poignant moment of tenderness emerged. Stolas, though weakened and struggling, reassured Octavia that she was a far better daughter than he could have ever hoped for, expressing his deep pride in her for being so unlike Stella, the embodiment of darkness and cruelty.
Driven by her sadistic desires, Stella violently flung Stolas to the ground, her intention clear: to behead him and keep his severed head as a gruesome keepsake. However, her sinister plan met an abrupt and unexpected interruption as Blitzø, armed with the Carmine-Crafted rifle he had taken from Striker in his prior attempt on Stolas' life, unleashed a powerful shot that severed Stella's arm, revealing the successful infiltration of I.M.P into Andrealphus' palace. Fearing for his own safety, Andrealphus cravenly sought refuge behind Octavia as Blitzø aimed the rifle, but instead of taking a life, he chose to blast apart Stolas' restraints. In a last-ditch effort to eliminate Octavia, Andrealphus wielded a blessed knife, but Stolas, despite his grievous injuries, summoned his remaining strength. With a display of telekinesis, he arrested the motion of Andrealphus' wrist, allowing a furious Octavia to fend off her treacherous uncle. Drawing upon her powers, Octavia unleashed a force that sent Andrealphus hurtling into a wall, finally freeing herself from his menacing grasp.
Amidst the chaotic battle between I.M.P and Andrealphus' frigid minions, Stella's fury burning unabated over the loss of her hand, Octavia's heart raced with panic as she rushed to Stolas, who lay injured and frail. Despite his weakened state, Stolas mustered feeble reassurances to comfort his distraught daughter, assuring her that he would be all right. With utmost care and determination, Octavia supported her father, draping his arm over her shoulder, fully committed to carrying him to safety. Their journey out of the malevolent depths of Andrealphus' palace commenced, a slow and arduous process marked by each careful step they took. However, as they reached the palace courtyard, Octavia's heart sank as she spotted an imposing horde of Exorcists, their presence an insurmountable obstacle standing between them and escape from the immediate vicinity of the palace. Understanding the gravity of their predicament, Octavia gently lowered Stolas to the ground, a growing sense of entrapment weighing heavily upon her. In a desperate bid for aid, she retrieved the flare given to her by Izzi and, with trembling hands, ignited it, sending a brilliant signal soaring into the darkened sky. Izzi, Rum, and Striker caught sight of the illuminating flare, and a sinister grin crept across Izzi's face, twisted delight welling up within him as he realized that his "help" was now on the brink of arriving.
Octavia continued her determined efforts to carry the wounded Stolas away from the malevolent palace, her sole focus on putting as much distance as possible between them and the sinister Andrealphus. Yet, their desperate escape attempt came to a screeching halt when Andrealphus, wielding his icy power, conjured a colossal wall of ice around the palace's perimeter, imprisoning them within its frozen grasp. Descending before the trapped pair, Andrealphus reveled in their predicament, asserting with a malevolent grin that there was nowhere for them to flee. Stolas steeled himself, fully prepared to confront Andrealphus head-on. Octavia, consumed by fear for her father's life, attempted to reason with him, reminding him of the severity of his injuries and the improbability of defeating Andrealphus, especially when he unleashed his formidable Full Demon Form. However, Stolas remained resolute, whispering to Octavia to seek out Blitzø before he took a defiant stance against the menacing Andrealphus, fully prepared to engage in a battle where the odds were overwhelmingly stacked against him.
Stolas fought valiantly against the overwhelmingly powerful Andrealphus, coming close to gaining the upper hand before Stella intervened to support her brother. United and poised to end Stolas' life together, the siblings presented a formidable threat. However, Octavia stepped forward with unwavering determination, a fierce resolve shining in her eyes, steadfastly refusing to allow them to harm her father.
Andrealphus, unmoved by Octavia's defiant stance, coldly declared, "So be it," and unleashed a joint, devastating blast of ice magic aimed at Octavia and Stolas, with Stella eagerly participating in the assault. To everyone's astonishment, Octavia harnessed her own powers to summon a mystical glyph, forming a protective barrier that shielded her and Stolas from the deadly attack. Her hands ignited with azure flames, Octavia retaliated with explosive stardust, channeling her formidable powers toward Andrealphus and Stella. Stolas, standing proudly by his daughter's side, couldn't help but express his excitement and admiration for her remarkable abilities. Together, father and daughter engaged Stella and Andrealphus in a thrilling and intense battle, a confrontation that would ultimately determine the outcome of their harrowing ordeal.
Octavia, her heart hardened by the conflict, coldly employed her ice powers to immobilize Stella, disregarding her mother's desperate pleas for help. With a steely determination, she rejoined her father, both resolute in their intent to confront Andrealphus head-on. However, their unwavering resolve quickly met its match as Andrealphus proved to be a formidable adversary, swiftly overpowering them and sending them crashing to the ground. With a malevolent grin, he ensnared them within an icy prison, conjuring the freezing substance from beneath them.
As Andrealphus reveled in his taunting, his gloating was abruptly halted by Izzi, positioned at a distance, taking a shot with a blessing-tipped rifle that struck the demon in the abdomen, severely weakening him. Seizing the opportunity, Stolas and Octavia broke free from their icy bonds, and they were soon joined by the members of I.M.P, forming a united front against the now-vulnerable Andrealphus. Amidst the intense confrontation, Octavia spotted Izzi on the palace roof, saluting her before seemingly vanishing from the scene, leaving her with the impression that he had departed. With Stolas and the rest of the group standing resolute before him, Andrealphus, faced with no other recourse, tapped into his most potent powers. He unleashed an all-encompassing ice blast, freezing the surrounding space, encasing everything and everyone in a chilling stasis just as Stolas and the others moved in for the final attack.
As Andrealphus reveled in the frozen tableau with euphoric delight, he christened it his "winter wonderland," his malevolent grin belying the sadistic thoughts that danced through his mind, contemplating the myriad creative ways he could end the lives of Stolas, Octavia, and I.M.P before time resumed its course. Lost in his triumphant reverie, Andrealphus failed to notice the trap cunningly set by Stolas before entering the palace. Anticipating that Andrealphus might resort to using his time-stopping abilities in the face of adversity, Stolas had strategically placed gravity glyphs beneath the courtyard's snow-covered surface. Unbeknownst to Andrealphus, as he stepped onto one of these concealed glyphs, a crushing force of extreme gravity enveloped his legs. The excruciatingly intense gravitational field brutally snapped Andrealphus's legs in half, causing him to writhe in agonizing torment on the frozen ground, ensnared as a helpless victim of Stolas' ingenious trap.
Andrealphus, trapped and powerless, could only watch helplessly as time gradually returned to normalcy, a full-on breakdown consuming him as the opportunity to eliminate his enemies slipped away like sand through his fingers. Desperation fueled his fury, and he attempted to unleash a blizzard of vengeance. In the ensuing chaos, Blitzø, driven by the thirst for retribution, prepared to end Andrealphus while he lay incapacitated. However, Stolas intervened silently, lowering Blitzø's raised rifle. Stolas understood the gravity of the situation and refused to stoop to Andrealphus' level, despite the heinous acts committed against him and Octavia.
Andrealphus' unbridled rage surged to new heights, creating a furious blizzard. Stolas, with unwavering resolve, implored Andrealphus to stop, refusing to become a murderer and choosing a higher moral path. But Andrealphus, consumed by psychotic rage and incapable of admitting defeat, raised his hands, unleashing a prolonged and devastating blast of magical ice directly toward Stolas. Octavia stepped forward, taking on the responsibility of halting the onslaught. She summoned another glyph, her powers flaring to life. As Andrealphus continued to scream in a frenzy of rage, a chilling realization dawned on Stolas. The energy of his attack gathered into an incandescent ball against Octavia's glyph, a catastrophic force in the making. Panic-stricken, Stolas frantically pleaded with Andrealphus to cease his assault, knowing the impending disaster. But Andrealphus, blinded by his unrelenting fury, remained undeterred, persisting in his magical assault until the burgeoning ball of energy detonated in a massive shockwave, sending everyone hurtling backward in the devastating aftermath.
As the chaotic aftermath began to settle, Octavia, still groggy from the recent battle, gradually awakened and found herself near the imposing ice wall that Andrealphus had conjured around the palace. Octavia's gaze fell upon her injured mother, Stella, who had been propelled through the wall during the earlier tumultuous events. Stella reached out to Octavia, desperation and a glimmer of hope in her eyes, seeking help and perhaps a chance for reconciliation.
However, Octavia's heart had grown cold towards her mother due to the recent events and the years of mistreatment. Her icy resolve remained unshaken. She fixed a stern, unforgiving glare on Stella and employed her formidable ice powers to mend the breach in the wall, sealing Stella's fate on the outside. Without a word or a second thought, Octavia darkly turned away from her mother, leaving Stella to face the approaching Exterminators alone—an ultimate act of retribution for all the pain she had caused herself and her father.
In the midst of the somber ruins of their shared ordeal, Stolas and Octavia silently reunited, their eyes speaking volumes without the need for words. A heavy weight of sorrow hung between them, and it was Stolas who finally broke the silence, offering an awkward compliment about Octavia's new haircut, attempting to create some semblance of lightness to their grim situation. But the wounds that had festered for so long ran too deep for such casual banter. Overwhelmed by the flood of emotions that threatened to consume them both, Stolas extended his apologies to Octavia, his voice tinged with deep regret for allowing their lives to reach such a dire state. He acknowledged his failure to share the painful truth of his death prophecy with her, but his words were abruptly interrupted when Octavia rushed up to him, her arms enveloping him in a tight, desperate embrace. Tears streamed down her face as she clung to him, seeking solace in his presence despite the trials and betrayals they had endured. Stolas, taken aback and speechless by Octavia's unexpected display of affection, was deeply moved by the confirmation that she still loved him despite everything. Without hesitation, he embraced her in return, finding comfort in each other's arms amid the ruins of their home.
On the balcony overlooking the courtyard, Striker stirred and regained consciousness, bearing witness to the emotional reunion between Stolas and Octavia. The fragile moment hung in the air, but it was abruptly shattered by an abrupt and sinister presence: Izzi mysteriously reappeared on the balcony. In a swift and chilling motion, Izzi drew a blessing-tipped rifle, its ominous barrel pointed directly at Stolas. Before anyone in the courtyard, including Stolas and Octavia, could react, a fatal shot rang out from Izzi's weapon, striking Stolas in the neck. He collapsed into Octavia's trembling arms, her screams of horror and despair echoing through the courtyard. A chilling grin spread across Izzi's face, his satisfaction palpable, with Octavia none the wiser to his murderous deed. Izzi smoothly discarded the rifle, letting it fall into Striker's hands, casting the blame upon the bewildered assassin. Confusion and rage surged within the group, but Izzi exploited his invisibility, vanishing from sight before anyone could respond. Blitzø, seething with anger and vengeance, tracked the trajectory of the deadly bullet and spotted Striker, holding the rifle. Fueled by a desire for retribution, Blitzø took aim at Striker, determined to make him pay for Stolas' murder. In the ensuing chaos, Striker narrowly evaded Blitzø's retaliatory shot, escaping with a graze to his arm as he fled the scene.
Desperation filled the air as Octavia, Moxxie, and Millie tirelessly attempted to stem Stolas' bleeding, their efforts proving futile in the face of the inevitable. Stolas, weakened and fading, found a bitter sweetness in the moment, having known that this day would eventually arrive. Blitzø, tormented by grief and hopelessness, clung to the belief that there must be a way to save Stolas. He pleaded with his friend, desperately searching for any sign of hope. However, Stolas, in his final moments, embraced the solemn reality of his destiny. Summoning his grimoire, Stolas retrieved an Asmodean Crystal, entrusting it to Blitzø with a heavy heart. He instructed Blitzø to take Octavia and escape Hell, especially if the looming apocalypse became a grim reality. Octavia, overwhelmed with fear and sadness, clung to her father, begging him to hold on to life, the thought of being left alone with Blitzø haunting her. Blitzø, visibly pained by Octavia's words, shared in her sorrow as they witnessed Stolas slipping away. In his last breaths, Stolas comforted Octavia, urging her to seize life to the fullest, to build friendships, and to find love. He assured her that even in death, he would continue to watch over her. With a final surrender to his injuries, Stolas passed away in Octavia's arms, his foretold prophecy reaching its somber conclusion.
Octavia's world crumbled around her as she desperately shook Stolas, her anguished pleas for his return falling on deaf ears. Her emotions consumed her, and her heartbreak found voice in her piercing screams, their echoes haunting the air. Blitzø, tears streaming down his face, tried to guide Octavia to a safer place, but her grief transformed into an uncontrollable rage. A tempestuous display of Octavia's powers erupted, manifesting as a swirling ring of blue fire and stardust that enveloped her and Stolas. In her inconsolable fury, she directed her blame squarely at Blitzø, holding him responsible for her father's death and the shattering of her life. She swears to make the imp suffer, her world now bereft of immediate family and seemingly beyond repair. In the midst of her overwhelming emotions, Octavia's powers inadvertently teleported her and Stolas' lifeless body to an unknown destination, leaving Blitzø in profound anguish and despair.
In "Land of the Dead", Octavia, overcome with emotion, finds herself adrift in the mass vacuum of space on a meteorite, facing a distant star. Tenderly placing Stolas' lifeless form on the celestial rock, she struggles to contain her feelings, unleashing her anger by striking the ground. A tumultuous wave of emotions washes over Octavia as she screams her frustrations at Stolas' lifeless body, asking him why he did the things he did that led to his death. As her fury softens, she acknowledges his unhappiness with Stella, and redirects her blame towards Blitzø, convinced that their predicament traces back to his seduction of Stolas and the pact they made. Fueled by resolve, Octavia clutches Stolas' grimoire and commands it to transport her to the Underworld, the grimoire's fiery teleportation engulfing her.
In the unforgiving depths of the Pride Ring's underground black market, Octavia found herself besieged by a horde of menacing demons, their taunts and threats echoing in the dimly lit underworld. Desperate to escape unharmed, she maneuvered through the shadows, attempting to evade their grasp. However, her path intersected with a gang of battle-worn sinners wearing their scars like a badge of honor. Their leader, wielding a switchblade, calmly demanded any valuables Octavia possessed. Concealing the grimoire, Octavia untruthfully claimed she had nothing of value. Disappointed, the leader deemed Octavia herself as a valuable commodity. Octavia attempted to flee as they tried to seize her for ransom, only to be trapped in a desolate alley. She implored them to let her go, her emotions escalating, triggering her latent powers. In a surge of fury and desperation, Octavia harnessed her abilities, freezing some gang members into solid blocks of ice while unleashing hellfire upon the leader, reducing them to ashes. The sheer display of power sent shockwaves through the environment, causing the remaining gang members to scatter in terror as Octavia's unleashed forces decimated the environment around her.
In the aftermath of her unleashed powers, Octavia knelt on the floor, gasping for breath, horror gripping her features as she grappled with the reality of her actions—realizing she had taken the afterlife of a sinner. Suddenly, a plume of blue fire erupted from the ashes of the fallen gang leader, and Death materialized from the flames with his usual bombastic flair, thanking Octavia for the arrival of "new souls." Stunned by Death's appearance and struggling to compose herself, Octavia attempted to explain, but Death offered backhanded praise, insinuating her trajectory toward becoming a killer. Surprised but undeterred of Death's appearance as she intended to seek his council, Octavia informed him of Stolas' demise. Death feigned sorrow for Stolas, expressing disappointment over not being able to torment the Goetia further regarding his thanatophobia. Undeterred, Octavia beseeched Death to aid her in reviving Stolas. Death began to convey something to Octavia, but halted abruptly, agreeing to assist her in this desperate endeavor.
Death disclosed to Octavia the intricate steps necessary to revive Stolas. She needed to journey across the Universe, procure a celestial chalice, and venture into the deathless realms of space to gather the tears of those in a state of gruesome suffering but not yet departed.
Days turned into a perilous odyssey for Octavia as she faced dangers that progressively desensitized her. After enduring numerous trials, she succeeded in obtaining the required supplies and utilized Death's rune to reach the Grim Reaper's fortress in the Underworld. Presenting the chalice and the tears of the not-yet-departed, Death was elated, utilizing the contents to sweeten his drink from the river of suffering. Octavia, bewildered, pressed him about Stolas. Dismissing her concerns, Death casually claimed there was nothing they could do and attempted to usher her away. Refusing to accept defeat, Octavia erupted in anger, demanding Death to uphold his end of the deal. In response, Death callously revealed that once someone was erased, even the Grim Reaper couldn't resurrect them, as there was nothing left to revive. Octavia questioned why Death had appeared when she killed the sinner from the black market, only for Death to admit that he had deceived her, mentioning the sinner's soul being his to give was a fabrication to provide false hope. Tears of anger and frustration welled up in Octavia's eyes as she confronted Death, questioning why he had manipulated her into undertaking these menial tasks. The Grim Reaper callously revealed that he was "thirsty", and exploited her vulnerability since gathering the ingredients for his beverage would be massively inconvenient. Pleased with Octavia's agony, Death's maniacal laughter echoed through the air, pushing Octavia to unleash a colossal ball of hellfire and stardust at him. As the fiery projectile hurtled towards Death, she was transported out of the Underworld, the Grim Reaper's cackling echoing through the air.
Pushed to her breaking point, Octavia stood tall, clutching her father's grimoire tightly as she journeyed back to the Pride Ring. Her determination fueled her steps, and after a wearying travel, she arrived at the towering fortress of Izzi and the Insurgency. She halted, resolute, prepared to face Izzi and make a decision about the deal he had proposed earlier - a choice that would shape her fate and her quest for reviving her father, Stolas.
In "Eclipse of the Heart", inhaling deeply, Octavia courageously strides towards the headquarters of the Insurgency, raising her hands as the base's soldiers target her. She vocalizes her desire to meet Izzi, but instead, Striker emerges and challenges Octavia. The arrogant assassin denies her access to see Izzi, insinuating a preference for ending her life, brandishing a knife near her face when Octavia throws a sarcastic remark at him. He mentions his unfinished vendetta against Stolas but declares that killing Stolas' daughter would suffice. Octavia locks eyes with Striker, her clenched fists ablaze, daring him to make a move.
Just before a clash could erupt between Striker and Octavia, Izzi and Rum suddenly appear. Izzi loudly calls off the soldiers before warmly greeting Octavia, expressing his honor at her presence. Izzi then immediately chastises Striker for causing trouble for Octavia and urges him to go to some "cowboy crap", which he reluctantly does. Octavia, with a hint of nervousness, retrieves Stolas' grimoire and presents it to Izzi, accepting his proposition for a better Hell. Izzi grins and does not hesitate to take the grimoire, assuring Octavia made the right decision. He commands his soldiers to refocus on their duties and invites Octavia into his manor, allowing her to join their cause in reforming Hell.
Izzi guides Octavia through his rustic, fortified mansion, proudly displaying his angelic weapons and the macabre mementos he has amassed from his victims, including the taxidermied forms of Hellhounds, all the while nostalgically boasting about his hunting prowess days in the Australian outback. He expresses eagerness for her to team him in wielding the grimoire, though Octavia admits her limited proficiency with the Goetic tome. Octavia playfully jokes with Izzi, recalling her struggles with teleportation attempts as an example, including her failure to travel to the stars and the Underworld, finding some humor in her inexperience. Unbothered, Izzi embraces the challenge, envisioning a shared learning experience.
During Izzi and Octavia's tour, Izzi makes introductions to the Insurgency's weapon designers, Sir Pentious, Loopty Goopty, and Lyle Lipton. Octavia and Sir Pentious exchange wide-eyed glances, recognizing each other from the hotel with Octavia keenly aware that Pentious is serving as a mole for the hotel crew. Once Izzi departs, Octavia lingers, and Pentious quietly implores her not to reveal his true allegiance to Izzi. Octavia looks around to confirm Izzi's absence and whispers a reassuring promise with a subtle smile, assuring Pentious that she won't expose him.
Upon introducing Octavia to her own room, Izzi maintains a façade of ignorance regarding Stolas' demise, reassuring Octavia of her father's safety. However, Octavia breaks the news emotionally, disclosing that Stolas met his end days ago. Izzi feigns sympathy, assuring Octavia to not beat herself up over joining his cause too late, subtly positioning himself as a misunderstood hero and Octavia as ignorant. As he departs, he assures Octavia that their mission to "save" Hell will prevent others from enduring the anguish of losing a father.
At nightfall, Octavia roams the rustic corridors of Izzi's mansion, immersed in music playing through her earbuds. As she strolls through the halls, she encounters Insurgency soldiers nonchalantly transporting bloodied corpses throughout the premises, the bodies of those the Insurgency offered to the Exorcists. While passing by Izzi's room, Octavia overhears Izzi gleefully bragging about killing Stolas and laughing about Octavia's obliviousness, though his words are muffled by Octavia's music. Intrigued, Octavia removes her earbuds and peeks into the room to witness Izzi and Rum goofing off, laughing uncontrollably, and reveling in their victory. Octavia continues venturing the fortress as, Izzi tosses the grimoire up in the air as if it were a toy, much to Rum's amusement.
Later, in the depths of the night, Octavia sits in the mansion's courtyard and begins practicing using her extraordinary stardust abilities. Realizing its potential, she forms the stardust into animated projections of cherished memories of her and Stolas. Vivid scenes play out, showcasing their shared experiences—their visit to the observatory, building snowmen, and most profoundly, creating their own star together. The memories illuminate the darkness, serving as a reminder of the bond she once held dear. Octavia's nostalgic joy gradually transforms into bitter tears. Octavia mourns Stolas, through song, as the stardust changes to reflect her state of mind.
In song, Octavia goes through a whirlwind of emotions, initially mourning Stolas before questioning his words of comfort and promises, wondering if they were bluffs. As her sorrow intensifies, Octavia questions whether Blitzø held a greater place in Stolas' heart than she did and why he chose to entrust her to the imp's care. As her singing intensifies, the stardust projections, mirroring her emotional turmoil, twist and warp, illustrating a heart-wrenching scene of Izzi taking a baby Octavia from Stolas' arms as he dissolves into nothingness, symbolizing her allegiance to Izzi and moving on from her father. The stardust then flies into the air, creating a mesmerizing, spectacular explosion in the sky.
Fighting tears, Octavia accepts Stolas' advice to not let his death rule her life; Despite the clear pain of his loss, she resolves to find strength within herself, ultimately stating that he'll only be a distant memory as she ages. As a call-back to Stolas' lullaby, she acknowledges that she will be okay without him, eventually.
In "Let's Go Out With a Bang", Octavia grapples with a deep internal conflict upon waking up. As the Insurgency readies for their impending assault, Octavia discreetly visits Sir Pentious at his work station. She urgently advises him to escape the clutches of the Insurgency and return to the safety of the hotel, fearing for his well-being. Despite her heartfelt warning, Pentious remains resolute in his commitment.
As Octavia paces nervously in her room, calming herself by creating miniature stardust displays in her hands, Izzi approaches Octavia, declaring that their moment has arrived. He guides her through the Insurgency's stronghold, enthusiastically sharing his grand designs for Hell. Octavia, overwhelmed by the chaos and her longing for normalcy, expresses her simple desire for things to return to their former state. In response, Izzi, displeased with Octavia's emotional vulnerability, sternly instructs her to get her head on straight. He insists that it falls upon them to shape a "new normal" for the inhabitants of Hell.
Hours later, Izzi and Octavia stand at the pinnacle of the Insurgency's base, united by a vision for a new era in Hell. They present the grimoire before them, entwining their hands over the ancient book. Izzi calls forth black voids that stretch across the vast expanse of Hell, intending to utilize these cosmic voids to wipe out all of Hell's residents and devastate its infrastructure. As Octavia witnesses the catastrophic consequences of this spell, panic takes hold, and she desperately attempts to halt the destructive incantation. Izzi vehemently rebukes her resistance, gripping her hand tightly and insisting that this is the only path to rewrite Hell. Driven by a deep desire to end the cycle of death and suffering, Octavia bravely opposes Izzi. He responds by forcefully striking her down, sending her sprawling to the ground. Seizing the moment, Rum and Striker swiftly intervene, with the latter immobilizing Octavia using blessed ropes, rendering her powerless.
Left to his own devices, Izzi revels in the devastating power of the black hole spell, taking perverse pleasure in the chaos unleashed upon Hell by the spatial anomalies. Octavia, consumed by a mixture of rage and horror, implores Izzi to recognize the innocence of the lives he's snuffing out. Her desperate pleas fall on deaf ears as Izzi responds with a cruel laugh, callously asserting that in Hell, true innocence is a rare commodity. He forcefully seizes Octavia by the collar, his voice dripping with cruelty, and explains that even if innocents were to perish, their deaths would become mere footnotes in the annals of time. After violently hurling Octavia to the ground, he issued a warning to her, suggesting that she better comply with his wishes, as they are in for an extended period of solitude together.
A formidable team, including Blitzø, Loona, Angel Dust, Vaggie, Crymini, and Squish, infiltrates the Insurgency's stronghold, determined to halt Izzi's nefarious plans and rescue Octavia. Blitzø reaches the rooftop first and confronts Izzi with his flintlock pistol aimed at the sinner. Octavia's eyes widen, deeply affected by Blitzø's valiant return for her. Desperate and cornered, Izzi grabs Octavia and presses a blessed gun against her head, demanding that Blitzø leave or witness her death. An explosion suddenly rocks the ground behind Izzi, sending both him and Octavia tumbling. Cherri and Angel burst through the newly created hole, engaging Izzi in a fierce battle. While Izzi is preoccupied, Blitzø rushes to Octavia, attempting to free her from the ropes. He recognizes the distinct knot pattern as Striker's handiwork, his eyes widening. Striker himself appears, kicking Blitzø away from Octavia and engaging him in combat.
As Loona, Vaggie, Squish, and Crymini arrive on the scene, Izzi reverts to holding Octavia hostage, while Angel tends to the gravely wounded Cherri. Taunting his adversaries, Izzi's attention is momentarily diverted when he notices the Egg Boizs descending onto the rooftop via parachutes. Tragically, the base's mounted turrets eliminate all but one of the Egg Boizs. Izzi ruthlessly shoots the remaining Egg Boiz, who had been holding the pendant Izzi used to protect himself from the cold in Cocytus. The pendant tumbles into the midst of everyone, inadvertently triggering a hidden camera installed by Sir Pentious. Octavia and Blitzø watch in sheer horror as the holographic footage reveals Izzi's responsibility for her father's death. The shock of this revelation leaves Octavia momentarily catatonic, struggling to process the magnitude of the truth, while Izzi is hilariously baffled by the presence of a camera in the first place.
Seizing the opportunity presented by Izzi's distraction, Octavia's inner fury takes control, her eyes aglow with an intense crimson light. With a swift and forceful motion, she places her hands on Izzi's arm that's gripping her neck, freezing it solid and shattering it. Despite the searing pain, Izzi manages to pull the trigger of his blessed gun, the bullet grazing Octavia's head but failing to halt her assault. Overwhelmed by her rage, Octavia unleashes all of her powers and assumes her Full Demon Form, closely resembling Stolas' Full Demon Form, albeit with a purple and black color scheme.
As the sky darkens and stars appear to fall from the heavens due to Octavia's unbridled wrath, she projects torrents of flames and explosive stardust toward Izzi. Desperately clinging to the grimoire, Izzi attempts to counter Octavia's relentless onslaught, but his limited understanding of the book hinders his efforts. Octavia employs her talons to viciously strike Izzi, knocking the grimoire from his grasp and nearly sending him over the rooftop with her explosive stardust.
Amidst the chaotic battle, a moment of darkness descends as Octavia, lost in her rage and demonic state, inadvertently targets the hotel crew and I.M.P, her unchecked fury and grief endangering even those she had no intention of harming. Just as Octavia's focus begins to turn toward Blitzø, Charlie descends to the rooftop and bravely approaches Octavia, attempting to calm her down. Charlie's efforts soon receive support from Blitzø, Crymini, and Loona, who work together to restrain Octavia and gently soothe her tumultuous emotions. Through their collective efforts, they gradually manage to pacify her.
As Octavia's overwhelming emotions subside, she reverts to her normal state, tears streaming down her face as she grapples with the inner turmoil. Octavia, emotionally shattered, gazes up at Charlie and poses a heartfelt question, "Is there anyone I can trust?" In a touching and empathetic moment, Charlie just kneels beside Octavia, embracing her and holding close. Crymini also kneels down, enveloping Octavia in a tight hug, while Loona strokes Octavia's head. Blitzø watches the scene with a clear sense of reverence, deeply moved by the display of compassion and solidarity.
The tender moment is abruptly shattered as Blitzø spots a battered and vengeful Izzi, aiming his blessed gun at Octavia, ready to deliver a fatal shot. Without hesitation, Blitzø throws himself in front of Octavia, taking the bullet to his shoulder and collapsing in agony. Enraged, Izzi attempts to aim at Octavia once more, but his move is thwarted by Cherri. Cherri, Angel, Charlie, Blitzø, and Octavia unite their fury, launching a collective onslaught against Izzi. They deliver an unrelenting and visceral assault, with Blitzø, Cherri, and Angel subjecting him to a brutal beating, while Octavia and Charlie blast him with hellfire. They exact their revenge on him for the pain, suffering, and chaos he has caused to them and all of Hell. As Izzi lies trembling, battered, and defeated on the ground, Charlie seizes the grimoire and closes it, dispersing the black holes across the seven rings.
Refusing to accept defeat, Izzi resorts to a desperate act, triggering explosions throughout the base's property. Panic sets in as the team realizes they must escape the impending disaster and quickly begins to flee. However, Octavia, driven by her determination for retribution, charges at Izzi with fiery fists. In a dire moment, Izzi prepares to shoot Octavia with his blessed gun, but before he can, Striker intervenes, blasting off Izzi's arm in retaliation for all the mockery he and Rum had subjected him to. A sinister grin adorns Striker's face as he swiftly makes his escape. Octavia, consumed by her thirst for revenge, is halted by Cherri Bomb, who dramatically swoops in from a cable to catch Octavia. Octavia questions Cherri as to why she stopped her, to which Cherri asserts that although Izzi had ruined her own life, she won't let him ruin Octavia's. With a wink and a promise, Cherri encourages Octavia to seek safety and takes charge of the situation. Octavia is then escorted away by Crymini and Loona, with the former playfully advising Octavia not to inadvertently destroy Hell the next time they get together.
In the aftermath, Octavia finds herself sitting with Crymini and Loona, bonding with them and engaging in humorous banter. Crymini and Loona soon leave while Octavia opts to stay, gazing up at the star that she and Stolas had created, holding the grimoire close, knowing it is her responsibility know. Beside her, Blitzø, his injuries bandaged and his body battered, hesitantly takes a seat. He quickly greets Octavia, who briefly glances at him before returning her gaze to the star. Octavia eventually responds with a quick greeting, and together, they continue to stare at the celestial creation, struggling to find the right words to express their feelings.
Octavia breaks the silence by thanking Blitzø for coming back to rescue her, acknowledging that it was "pretty cool" of him, despite their complicated history. Fighting back tears, Blitzø admits the immense guilt and regret he feels for the pain he unwittingly brought upon Octavia and Stolas. He assures Octavia that he truly loved Stolas and was not using him, offering a heartfelt apology to Octavia while not expecting forgiveness.
Octavia, her own emotions held in check, lightens the moment with a touch of humor, remarking that she didn't know Blitzø could be so sentimental. She goes on to share that Stolas was genuinely happy when he was with Blitzø, which he had not been for decades, suggesting that perhaps Stolas was right to love him. Octavia expresses her gratitude to Blitzø for making her father feel valued before his passing. With tears in their eyes, Octavia and Blitzø share a tender smile as they watch the star together, finding solace in the shared memory of Stolas.
Later, Octavia, Crymini, Loona, Blitzø, Millie, Moxxie, and Lux come together to honor Stolas with the proper send-off he had always wished for. Retrieving Stolas' body, Octavia summons hellfire in her hands and prepares to carefully cremate her father's remains. As she gazes at him one last time, her breath shudders and her vision blurs with tears. In a gesture of support, Blitzø, Loona, and Crymini place their hands on Octavia's shoulders, lending her strength. With a heartfelt farewell, Octavia ignites the flames that consume Stolas' body. Lux then takes charge of the next part of the ceremony, telekinetically lifting Stolas' body. Lux then ascends to the heavens, soaring through the cosmos, and gracefully scatters Stolas' ashes among the stars as his body was cremated, allowing him to join the stars as he had always wished. In this celestial gesture, they ensure that a part of Stolas now resides among the very stars he had helped create, offering a beautiful and fitting farewell to the Goetia prince.
Personality
Octavia is reclusive, cynical, dramatic and melancholic when in a bad mood, which unfortunately for her happens more often than not. According to Charlie and Stolas, she was not always like this and used to be very playful, inspirational, and a positive demon to be around, but her later years have not been kind to her. Worn down by years of her parents' constant fighting and fears of her father leaving her, she has grown to be of few words and has a dry, sarcastic sense of humor. She is very intelligent and a bookwork, and is seldom found without her head in a book. While she often cloaks her genuine emotions and vulnerability behind a reserved and gothic vail, she has the capacity to be remarkably amiable, extroverted, and even playful and goofy when her spirits are high.
Her interests lean on the gothic, morbid, and macabre side, such as collecting taxidermy of Hell's demonic wildlife (even talking to said taxidermy as if they were living creatures, like her father does with his grimoire), reading controversial literature, and listening to and writing depressing songs. Additionally, she is an astrology nerd, like her father, and has a fondness for collecting and studying gemstones and crystals.
Her often-sour mood tends to deter her from others, with few exceptions such as Seviathan, Loona, Crymini, and Charlie. She deviates from most teenagers in that she disdains topics such as celebrity gossip and has ridiculed Hellsa and Bee-lzebub for their spoiled and materialistic ways. She also calls out the hypocrisy of royal gatherings help by Hell's nobility, and called out Loo Loo Land for being a corporate rip-off of Lucifer's Lu Lu World. Octavia's preferences have subjected her to ridicule and derision from a clique of students at Hell School. She perceives them as lacking understanding and brands them as "ignorant." This contributes to her strong inclination toward privacy, driven by a fear that she won't be comprehended or accepted by most people.
She appears to be stoic towards her mother and father's domestic disputes, casually stepping over a plant that her mother nearly hit her with, and seemingly treating their squabbles with minor annoyance. In reality, she worries deeply about the state of her family out of fear that Stolas will leave her for Blitzø and that she will be left alone. She also worries that her father only views her as an obligation and that he thinks he must stay miserable for her sake. She believes that Stolas hates Stella more than he loves her, which is not true at all.
In contrast to her haughty mother, Octavia displays a lack of concern for royal protocols, social standing, and others' status. She opts for decidedly casual attire, a source of significant displeasure for her mother. She has also formed a friendship with Loona and Crymini, the former a Hellhound and the latter a delinquent sinner, and openly shares her taxidermy collection, unapologetically defying traditional expectations for a Goetia.
Despite seeming moody most of the time, Octavia can be very friendly, expressive, caring, and even a little goofy when she is in a good mood. She is polite towards even strangers, lighting Loona's cigarette for her during their first encounter. She used to very upbeat and outgoing when she was younger, and it can still show through her attitude in the present. Additionally, she is a caring and sensitive person despite her creepy interests and cynical attitude; she loves and cares about her father, but expresses frustration with how difficult his dealings with Blitzø have made their family life, which lead to her putting up a wall of feigned indifference as a coping mechanism. She also comforted Seviathan over his family's mistreatment of him, sympathizing with him as she knew what it was like to have a dysfunctional family. Later, she comforted Crymini over her astrophobia and read a book to soothe her to sleep during a thunderstorm. She deeply appreciates anyone who is willing to understand, listen to or comfort her, and when she finds someone she trusts and thinks she can call a friend, she gets extremely close and attached to them.
Octavia has demonstrated her capacity for a darker, vengeful aspect multiple times. Following Stella's unsuccessful assassination attempt on Stolas, Octavia chose not to respond to her mother's plea for assistance, leaving a helpless Stella to die at the hands of the Exterminators as retribution for the harm she inflicted upon both herself and Stolas. Shortly after, the midst of her sorrow and fury over Stolas' demise, Octavia vowed to make Blitzø suffer for his interference in her family, holding him responsible for Stolas' death.
Appearance
Octavia is an adolescent avian demon, with a slender and somewhat disheveled appearance; Her eyes feature pink irises with white pupils, accentuated by light purple eyeshadow, and she sports long, elegant eyelashes that are accompanied by two teardrop-like streaks beneath each eye. A blend of her parents' traits, Octavia inherits her father's mask-like white facial markings and pairs them with her mother's expressive eyes and tousled feathered hair.
Her casual attire includes a black beanie adorned with a pale yellow tiara motif atop her head. A thick pink choker adorns her neck, while a lengthy, feathery black shawl drapes across her shoulders. Octavia dons a long-sleeved pink dress adorned with delicate pale yellow stars, combined with black leggings and elevated by black heeled boots.
Transitioning into sleepwear, she opts for an oversized black nightshirt featuring a prominent pink star centered on its front.
In her full demon form, Octavia appears older and far more menacing, cloaked in a flowing "coat" of large, shadowy feathers. Her coat shimmers with a celestial pattern of stars. Her beak is sharper and more pronounced, while the feathers atop her head form an angular, crown-like structure adorned with floating stars. Her eyes burn with large, intense, flame-like energy that cascades to the side like glowing tears. In this form, she possesses enormous, swirling, peacock-like tail feathers, intricately patterned with the swirling hues of a blue and pink galaxy.
Powers and Abilities
Natural Powers
- Demonic Transformation: As depicted in "Let's Go Out with a Bang," Octavia possesses the ability to undergo a drastic transformation into a colossal and monstrous demon form when consumed by intense anger. In this state, her demon form bears a striking resemblance to her father's own full demon form, featuring jet-black feathers, an emanation of stardust and royal purple flames, expansive wings, and two pairs of radiant purple eyes. In contrast to Stolas, Octavia exhibits a notable lack of self-control when in her Full Demon Form, often succumbing to pure demonic rage. This is evident in her indiscriminate targeting and attempts to harm members of both I.M.P and the Hazbin gang, including those she had previously befriended, such as Squish.
Unique Powers
- Demonic Power: As a Goetic demon, Octavia has access to otherworldly powers unattainable to most demons. Though, due to her young age, she remained seemingly powerless for most of her life. However, thanks to Andrealphus, she was able to tap into her potential, unlocking a vast array of arcane magic. However, as a drawback, most of her powers have yet to surface, are controlled by her emotions, and tend to happen spontaneously.
- Chronokinesis: Octavia is seemingly capable of distorting, slowing or even stopping the flow of time itself, though this only happens when she is particularly enraged. This ability is presumably from her mother's side and passed on from Andrealphus, though he has never taught her how to properly wield this power.
- Cold Resistance: Octavia's cryokinesis grants her immunity to the cold, with not even the temperature of Cocytus affecting her, despite the frozen lake being of such low temperature that Andrealphus ambiguously bragged that Stolas could not survive in it for long.
- Cryokinesis: Having inherited the ability from Andrealphus and possibly Stella, Octavia can conjure snow, ice and winter weather. She can create mini-blizzards and freeze entire rooms through her outbursts, though this only occurs when she is especially distressed or enraged. While being mentored by Andrealphus, she and her uncle engaged each other in a snowball fight, with Octavia summoning the balls of snow using telekinesis and bending the snow around them to create a snow fort. Later, she froze Izzi's arm solid and shattered it. Andrealphus claimed that Octavia would be capable of doing almost anything with her powers once she honed them, including creating sentient creatures.
- Explosive Stardust Manipulation: Octavia possesses the capability to control stardust, mineral grains, and particles of cosmic materials that resemble cloud-like galaxies. During her brief battle against Andrealphus, Octavia conjured unstable, combustible stardust that knocked her uncle back by several meters. Octavia wields the ability to generate stardust from her hands, signifying her powers' active role in its production. Perhaps most remarkable, Octavia can shape stardust into fully animated constructs, exemplified when she fashioned stardust replicas of both herself and Stolas imbuing them with the ability to reenact beloved childhood memories. In a poignant display near the conclusion of "I Will Be Okay," Octavia showcased her power by propelling stardust into the atmosphere, resulting in a grand celestial spectacle akin to fireworks, complete with a multitude of meteors gracefully descending from the heavens.
- Flight: Octavia inherited her father's ability to fly, allowing her to ascend through the air and even travel through space without the use of wings.
- Ice Storm Creation: Octavia can summon ice storms through merely strong emotions.
- Multiple Arms: In her Full Demon Form, Octavia can spawn multiple arms that have the appearance of outer space within them.
- Pyrokinesis: Octavia can conjure and manipulate pink, azure, and purple hellfire. She conjured a tiny flame at her fingertip to light Loona's cigarette, and later engulfed her fists in flames when approached by Izzi. In her full demon form, fire continuously flows from her eyes, resembling tears.
- Reality Warping: As Octavia underwent her Full Demon Form transformation, the sky reacted by adopting an eerie greenish-black hue. This atmospheric anomaly reverted to its usual state once Octavia regained her composure.
- Stellar Manipulation: In her youth, Stolas and Octavia created a star together. While she was singing in grief from Stolas' death, Octavia used her stardust abilities to shoot explosive stardust far into outer space, where they combusted into shooting stars. In the throes of anger upon uncovering Izzi's hand in Stolas' demise and his manipulative actions, Octavia's rage was causing stars to be ripped from the sky. Though, this celestial descent ceased and reverted to normalcy when Charlie, Loona, and Crymini successfully pacified her.
- Platform Creation: Using stars, Octavia can platforms for herself. This allows her to ride on them through the air, or have them appear below her feet as she takes a step, allowing her to ascend as if walking a flight of stairs.
- Telekinesis: Octavia can use telekinesis to summon objects to her, freeze projectiles in place, or use them offensive against living beings. During her snowball fight with Andrealphus, she stopped multiple snowballs which Andrealphus telekinetically sent her way (seemingly overpowering his own telekinetic control on them), and while being hunted by The Insurgency, she accidentally stopped a holy bullet from hitting her by freezing it with telekinesis when it inches from her chest. Anything under Octavia's telekinetic control emits a purple aura with a star-like pattern.
- Teleportation: Octavia can teleport herself and other people by enveloping herself and others in pink fire.
- Thermal Resistance: Even as a toddler, Octavia could effortlessly withstand the below freezing temperatures and radiation of outer space and was not even bothered by it.
External Powers
- Cosmic Manipulation: Using her father's grimoire, Octavia can manipulate stars, planets, and cosmic matter to her liking, as well as summon spatial anomalies such as black holes.
- Portal Creation: Octavia can create portals to various locations with the use of the grimoire, including other realms such as the mortal plane.
Abilities
- Flexibility: Octavia can turn her head 180° without injuring herself.
- Musical Talents: Octavia can play an acoustic guitar and is fairly gifted at singing emo-style songs with high belting. As shown during "I Will Be Okay", she is also a very skilled, mezzo-soprano type singer.
- Stealth Mastery: Octavia has a habit of going into her "ninja mode", wrapping her hair around her face and sneaking past people mostly unobserved. Using her ninja mode, she has managed to sneak past or eavesdrop on I.M.P (with the exception of Loona), the Goetia royal guards, and Corey and Peel.
Relationships
Family
Stolas
Stolas was Octavia's father. While she was embarrassed by him at times and very much disagreed with some of his decisions, Octavia loved her father dearly. She was especially close to him as a child, with them doing many things together, such as going to Loo Loo Land and Stolas' observatory to watch meteor shows up close. During Octavia's youth, she and Stolas even created a star together that served as a symbol of their daughter-father relationship. Octavia was very much a daddy's girl and had inherited some of her father's odd quirks, such as her tendency of talking to her taxidermy collection much like how Stolas talks to his grimoire.
As time passed and Octavia matured, the once-strong connection between her and Stolas faced numerous challenges stemming from their divergent interests. Stolas struggled to comprehend Octavia's evolving passions, as her new hobbies blend with her existing ones in ways that elude his understanding. Simultaneously, Octavia's growing apart from Stolas was influenced by the persistent discord between him and Stella. Their constant disagreements sow distance between Octavia and her father, as the familial tension takes its toll.
Growing up, Stolas' efforts to maintain an illusion of normalcy between himself and Stella left Octavia genuinely perplexed and adrift. The conflicting emotions surrounding her parents' strained relationship have led Octavia to a place of genuine confusion. She grapples with the question of why such deep-seated resentment exists between them, struggling to comprehend their mutual animosity.
Octavia carried a weight of concern that she burdens her father. She harbored a fear that Stolas regarded her as an obligation, a responsibility that shackled him to a life of discontent. This apprehension had roots in her childhood, where the fear of losing her father had been a constant shadow. Now, as she enters her teenage years and witnessed Stolas forming a connection with Blitzø, her anxiety about losing her father has only intensified.
Despite the turmoil surrounding their relationship, Octavia genuinely cared for Stolas and recognized that he does, at times, seek her well-being. Amidst the complexities, there are moments of mutual bonding between Octavia and Stolas. They find common ground and shared experiences that strengthen their connection.
Together, they engaged in activities that foster a sense of togetherness, like spa outings and trips to Styilish Occult that allowed them to unwind and connect on a personal level. Furthermore, Stolas would also assume the role of mentor, imparting his knowledge and expertise by teaching Octavia how to harness the powers of the grimoire. These moments of camaraderie and shared exploration serve to bridge the gap between them, offering Octavia glimpses of her father's genuine care and desire to offer her the best he can.
Unbeknownst to Octavia, Stolas had his share of secrets from her. Stolas was committed to shielding her from a grim prophecy foretelling his untimely demise. He took every conceivable measure to ensure she remained ignorant of this unsettling truth, not wanting her to worry herself about him.
Upon Stolas' arrival to rescue Octavia from Andrealphus and Stella, her initial relief and joy turned to sheer horror as it became evident that he had fallen into Stella and Andrealphus' trap. Octavia was forced to witness Stella and Andrealphus torture and humiliate Stolas, who then compelled him to reveal a prophesied fate of his own demise to Octavia. Stolas reluctantly divulged this grim secret he had tried to shield from his daughter, causing her profound horror and sorrow. Realizing that these might be his last words to Octavia, he expressed his deep admiration and affection for her. Stolas acknowledged Octavia as a daughter far exceeding his expectations, praising her for being a radiant light in his life and praising her for being so unlike her mother.
After I.M.P provided Octavia and Stolas a chance to escape, Octavia focused on aiding her injured father and persuading him to avoid a confrontation with Andrealphus. As Stolas came under attack by Stella and Andrealphus, Octavia bravely took a stand against them, refusing to let them harm her father any further. This time, she showcased her ice powers, astonishing Stolas with her abilities despite his injuries and weariness. His genuine excitement and geeky admiration for Octavia's remarkable powers brought a radiant smile to her face. With a newfound sense of determination and unity, the father-daughter duo engaged in battle against Stella and Andrealphus, standing together to protect each other and face the adversaries before them.
Following the tumultuous battle with Andrealphus, Stolas and Octavia finally found a moment to converse since Stolas' self-exile from Hell, seeking solace in the midst of chaos. Stolas, attempting to lighten the mood, complimented Octavia's new haircut in an awkward gesture, but Octavia, still grappling with the recent events, didn't find it very amusing. Stolas then tried to apologize for keeping his prophesied demise a secret, but Octavia, overwhelmed with relief at seeing her father alive, rushed to him and embraced him tightly, reaffirming that she still loved him despite everything that had happened.
Sadly, the tender reunion was abruptly shattered by a fatal gunshot from Izzi, marking the end of Stolas' life. In those fleeting final moments, Stolas sought to comfort Octavia, offering heartfelt words of wisdom. He encouraged her not to let his death dictate her life, urging her to embrace every aspect of life, forge meaningful relationships, and find love. As Stolas passed away, Octavia, consumed by grief and anger, felt her powers surge, vengefully threatening to make Blitzø suffer for interfering with her family, holding him responsible for her father's tragic fate.
Devastated by her father's passing, Octavia desperately sought a means to bring Stolas back to life, turning to Death himself for guidance. She embarked on a relentless quest, spanning the vastness of the Universe, in search of the specific resources Death claimed were necessary for Stolas' resurrection. This journey showcased the depths of her determination and the lengths she was willing to go to in her grief.
However, Death proved to be disingenuous, manipulating Octavia in a cruel and heartless ruse. He toyed with her emotions, ultimately revealing that erased souls like Stolas could never be revived, shattering Octavia's hopes and leaving her grappling with the harsh reality of loss and the impossibility of bringing her beloved father back.
After joining the Insurgency, Octavia continued grappling with accepting Stolas was gone. Octavia used her stardust abilities to create animated projections of her cherished memories with Stolas, reliving special moments together. These memories served as a reminder of their once-close connection, bringing both joy and sorrow. Octavia expressed her grief through song and stardust, experiencing a whirlwind of emotions. She questioned the sincerity of Stolas' comforting words and if Blitzø meant more to him than she did. Her grief turned to anger over Stolas' decision to leave her in Blitzø's care. Ultimately, Octavia claimed that she was right to doubt Stolas, and found strength within herself, honoring Stolas' advice to not let his death define her life. Despite the pain of his loss, she resolves to grow and move forward, feeling that she'll ultimately outlive the memory of her father.
Once Octavia uncovered the evidence implicating Izzi in Stolas' downfall, she erupted in fury, launching a relentless assault on Izzi and unleashing her Full Demon Form. In the aftermath, all of her reserves toward Stolas diminished, and all that was left twas a broken child who missed her father.
Despite Stolas' death, Octavia honored his final wish by giving him a proper send-off. She showed a mix of grief and determination as she prepared to cremate her father's remains, showing her love and reverence for him. With the support of Blitzø, Loona, and Crymini, she used her pyrokinesis to cremate his remains, watching as Lux spread his ashes across the stars.
Stella
Stella was Octavia's mother. Octavia and Stella seem to have been distant with each other through most of their lives, and her interactions with Stella are a stark contrast to that of Stolas, with Octavia calling Stella by her honorifics or simply "ma'am". Stella is shown to be sinister and manipulative towards Octavia, preying into Octavia's fears and telling her that Stolas only views her as simply an heir and will abandon the both of them when she comes of age, all so she can make Octavia hate Stolas and remain on her side.
During her fits of rage, Stella has nearly injured Octavia several times (such as when Octavia was nearly hit by one of Stolas' plants when Stella hurled it). Because of this, Stolas would only do something that could upset Stella as far away from Octavia as possible so their daughter would not get caught up in or even injured in the crossfire of their scuffles.
Following the revocation of Stolas' royal status, Stella embarked on a manipulation campaign aimed at driving a wedge between Octavia and her father, acting under Bethesda's guidance. This ploy initially bore fruit, as Octavia began to distance herself from Stolas due to Stella's influence. However, Octavia's perspective shifted drastically when she unearthed Stella's sinister plot to orchestrate Stolas' demise as punishment for his unfaithfulness.
The revelation of Stella's intent to have Stolas killed ignited Octavia's fury, causing her to confront her mother directly. During the confrontation, Octavia not only disowned Stella but also made the decision to leave the palace in order to escape her mother's grip, telling Stella that she would only know Octavia's name. Stella, unwilling to relinquish control, resorted to violence against Octavia and adamantly refused to let her leave. She instilled fear in Octavia, declaring that she would remain imprisoned until she turned 18 and Stolas met his demise.
Stella's manipulation didn't stop there; she continued to exert dominance over Octavia's life. Octavia was coerced into wearing regal attire, regardless of her discomfort. In a temporary arrangement with Charlie and her establishment, Stella implied the potential for harm if Octavia attempted to escape, serving as a constant reminder of her mother's power.
Andrealphus
Andrealphus is Octavia's uncle. She was somewhat close to him and even viewed him as a secondary father-figure. After Stolas was driven away from Hell, Andrealphus began to cozy up to Octavia and mentoring her, revealing that she had inherited cryokinetic abilities from Stella's side of the family, and claiming that Stolas had attempted to hide this from her to suppress her full potential. After taking her to Cocytus and helping her unlock these abilities, Octavia and her uncle indulged in a playful snowball fight, bonding over their cryokinetic abilities.
In "Heaven Meets Hell", Octavia becomes privy to Andrealphus' plot to overthrow and kill Stolas, and disowns him as her uncle, refusing to be a pawn in his game. In response, Andrealphus taunted Octavia for having a mind of her own, unlike Stella, and locked her in her room at Cocytus to use her as bait for Stolas.
Allies
Seviathan Von Eldritch
Seviathan is one of Octavia's only friends. Their bond dates back to the time when Seviathan was still partnered with Charlie, and Octavia used to be under their care when she was babysat on behalf of Stolas and Stella. During those moments, Seviathan would occasionally join Charlie in looking after Octavia, fostering a close connection. Octavia holds Seviathan as a dear friend, since he is one of the few constants in her life.
Their friendship was nurtured through shared experiences, such as watching horror movies together, gazing at the stars, and engaging in imaginative play. These shared activities created a unique and enduring bond between Seviathan and Octavia, laying the foundation for a close friendship that would stand the test of time.
In the present day, their friendship remains strong as they continue to connect over their shared morbid interests and viewpoints. They find common ground in discussing topics like the unabashed imitation of Loo Loo Land and enjoy poking fun at figures such as Hellsa, Beelze, and other royals in Hell, exposing their superficial inclinations and double standards.
Their camaraderie is evident in their regular activities. Seviathan's Sinstagram account showcases their frequent trips to Hell's cinema, where they eagerly catch the latest horror films. This shared interest in cinema illustrates their continued closeness and mutual enjoyment of experiences that have characterized their friendship over time.
Octavia extends her care and support to Seviathan, cognizant of the challenges he faces within his own family dynamic and the burdens imposed by parental expectations. With an understanding of his struggles, she serves as a source of comfort, reminding him of his inherent value and untapped potential. Through her words, she assures him that he will always have her by his side, ready to offer companionship and encouragement.
While their friendship is built on compassion, Octavia also plays a role in reining in Seviathan's less admirable behaviors. She doesn't shy away from addressing his moments of arrogance or self-importance, offering a reality check when needed. These candid conversations are driven by her desire to see him flourish as his best self. In doing so, Octavia maintains a balance that nurtures his growth and wellbeing.
Their relationship is characterized by a dynamic mix of genuine care and mutual respect, where Octavia's guidance and Seviathan's openness create a foundation for a friendship that benefits them both.
Charlie Magne
Octavia and Charlie share a deep and enduring friendship that has its roots in Octavia's childhood. Charlie's role as Octavia's babysitter, entrusted by both Stolas and Stella, laid the foundation for a strong and lasting bond between them. Over the years, their connection has only grown stronger.
For Charlie, Octavia is much more than a friend – she sees her as a sister and holds a protective and caring attitude towards her. Charlie's empathy for Octavia's family situation and the challenges she faces is evident in her sympathetic demeanor. Always ready to offer assistance and comfort, Charlie has even gone so far as to provide Octavia with her phone number, ensuring that she has a direct line of support whenever she needs it.
Octavia, in turn, values Charlie's presence and support in her life. However, she recognizes that Charlie has a tendency to "mother" her, which at times can come across as overly protective or overbearing. Despite this, Octavia appreciates the genuine care and concern that Charlie offers, understanding the depth of their connection and the intention behind Charlie's actions.
In some ways, Charlie is a far better mother figure to Octavia than the Octavia's actual mother, Stella.
When Octavia unleashed her Full Demon Form, driven by unbridled demonic fury and unwittingly attacking even those she considered friends, Charlie emerged as one of the few demons capable of breaking through to her and pacifying her, alongside Loona and Crymini.
Crymini
Octavia was grateful of Crymini for standing up to Hellsa to defend her, though the sinner coldly rebuked Octavia. However, the two met again in the hotel's bathroom and Crymini complimented Octavia for going against social norms by cutting her hair. The two then went shopping at the mall together to try on punk and alternative-style outfits, and when was harassed by a clique of upper-class girls who bully her at school, Crymini violently defended Octavia, leading to her nearly getting kicked out of the mall of the businesses' security, though Octavia used her authority to prevent this from happening. Octavia was very grateful to Crymini and the two continued to have fun at the mall by pranking people at Crymini's advice, leading to them being chased out by their prank victims while laughing hysterically.
Later, that same night, Octavia helped Crymini through her fear of thunderstorms by staying close to her and reading the delinquent a bedtime story, leading to the two cuddling and falling asleep with each other.
Loona
Initially strangers, Octavia and Loona forged a sisterly bond over time. In a significant incident where Octavia found herself inadvertently stranded on Earth with Stolas' grimoire, Loona, displaying an uncharacteristically warm side, located Octavia during an emotional breakdown at an observatory. Loona not only offered comfort but also conveyed Stolas' concern for his daughter, who had journeyed to Earth to find her. Grateful for the support, Octavia expressed her thanks with a hug before returning to her father.
The connection between Octavia and Loona deepened, with Loona assuming a protective big sister role. This was evident when Loona pet herself between Octavia and Villa, growling at the latter for attempting to style Octavia's hair without consent. Octavia came to regard Loona as one of the few individuals she could confide in during moments of uncertainty. Loona harbors a subtle dislike for when Octavia seeks advice from her, as she doesn't perceive herself as a supplier of sound advice. Despite Loona's reservations, Octavia insists otherwise, maintaining that Loona's perspective is valuable.
When Octavia unleashed her Full Demon Form, indiscriminately attacking members of I.M.P and the Hazbin gang, Loona, alongside Charlie and Crymini, were one of the few demons able to communicate with Octavia and ultimately pacify her.
Sir Pentious
Sir Pentious and Octavia share an unexpected, odd bond of friendship, starting from Octavia's brief stay at the Hazbin Hotel. Desperate for "suitors", Sir Pentious sought Octavia's assistance in utilizing Charlie's grimoire to summon a love demon. Octavia attempted to dissuade Pentious from the notion, expressing her concerns about relying on a demon for love guidance. Witnessing Pentious' dramatic emotional reaction, Octavia endeavored to console him and propose more secure alternatives. Despite her efforts, a disheartened Pentious abruptly left the room.
Following Octavia's recruitment into the Insurgency, a tense encounter unfolded between her and Pentious when Izzi introduced them. Izzi, unaware of Pentious acting as a mole for the hotel crew. After Izzi left, Pentious, anxious, quietly implored Octavia not to expose his dual allegiance to Izzi. In spite of Pentious' actions aimed at undermining the Insurgency, Octavia offered her word not to betray him to Izzi, accompanied by a comforting smile.
Later, Octavia, fearing the consequences of the Insurgency's upcoming assault on Hell, went out of her way to warn Pentious to leave the Insurgency base and return to the hotel, concerned for his safety. Though Pentious appreciated her care, he stayed behind at the Insurgency's base to continue being a mole for the hotel, resulting in his death.
Blitzø
Octavia initially harbed a strong aversion towards Blitzø, since he is indirectly destroying her view of her family, labeling the imp as a "weird red dickhead." Concerns have surfaced within her, fearing that Blitzø could potentially destroy her relationship with her father, going to the extent of worrying that he might lure her father away. She grapples with the unsettling notion that Stolas may hold Blitzø in higher regard than her.
When Stolas passed away, Octavia found herself engulfed in a whirlwind of grief and fury. She directed all the blame towards Blitzø, despite his lack of direct involvement in Stolas' demise. Octavia believed that Blitzø's actions, particularly his seduction and manipulation of Stolas, ultimately led to the tragic outcome. Despite Blitzø apologizing profusely and pleading for Octavia to hear him out, she remained resolute in seeking vengeance against him for intruding into her family matters. Octavia was profoundly hurt and disturbed when, in his dying moments, Stolas entrusted Blitzø with her care, imploring her father not to leave her with Blitzø.
Although Octavia harbored strong feelings of animosity towards him and held him responsible for Stolas' demise, Blitzø demonstrated his hidden heart of gold nature by attempting to rescue her from Izzi's influence. In a poignant display of selflessness, he took a holy bullet intended for Octavia, showcasing a genuine willingness to sacrifice himself for the person Stolas had entrusted him to protect after his passing.
In the aftermath of the confrontation with the Insurgency, Blitzø and Octavia tentatively sat together while stargazing, struggling to articulate their feelings. Octavia, breaking the silence, thanked Blitzø for helping her, acknowledging the complexity of their history. Blitzø, expressing deep remorse, admitted his unintentional role in causing pain to Octavia and Stolas, sincerely apologizing without expecting forgiveness. Octavia, balancing the emotions, injected humor at discovering a sentimental side in Blitzø. She shared that Stolas found genuine happiness with Blitzø, expressing gratitude for bringing value to her father's life before his passing. Tearfully, they shared a tender moment, finding solace in the shared memory of Stolas.
Cherri Bomb
Octavia and Cherri Bomb shared a singular but impactful interaction when Cherri intervened to save Octavia from Izzi's exploding mansion. Cherri, disregarding Octavia's potential self-endangerment for revenge, rescued her with a determined stance against letting Izzi ruin Octavia's life. Cherri's reassurance that she would make Izzi pay and her directive for Octavia to seek safety left Octavia both touched and surprised.
Enemies
Izzi
Octavia is aware of the terrible things Izzi has done to Hell's denizens, and initially regarded him as a monster. However, when Izzi personally confronted Octavia at the Hazbin Hotel, she was taken aback by how much he understood her, though she still kept her defenses up. Izzi offered Octavia a way to save her father, Stolas, by killing Lucifer and overthrowing the king of Hell. Though Octavia harshly refused Izzi's offer, she seemed to consider his deal and even seemed grateful at how interested he was in her, as not many people in her life give her the time of day to know her.
Overall, Octavia's thoughts on Izzi are mixed, as although she knows of his crimes, she feels oddly safe and understood around him.
When Octavia found herself imprisoned in Cocytus, Izzi extended a helping hand despite her initial confrontational demeanor. Octavia's defensiveness gradually waned as Izzi reminded her that he had been the sole support for her, unlike Stolas. He provided her with a signal flare for assistance. Octavia later utilized this flare during a confrontation with Andrealphus, and Izzi promptly came to her aid. However, he cunningly exploited Octavia's trust, feigning departure and seizing the opportunity to fatally harm Stolas during their reunion, revealing his act of salvation as a manipulative ploy.
After careful consideration and hesitation, Octavia ultimately accepted Izzi's offer to join him and the Insurgency when pushed to her breaking point after a cruel trick from Death, reluctantly giving the anarchist Stolas' grimoire. Octavia expressed gratitude towards Izzi for standing up to Striker on her behalf. During Izzi's tour of his mansion, Octavia even engaged in lighthearted banter with him, demonstrating her appreciation for his support and playfully discussing her limited experience with her father's grimoire.
Yet, beneath the surface, Octavia's loyalty to Izzi seems somewhat tenuous. She had made a promise to Sir Pentious not to disclose his role as a mole for the hotel crew to Izzi, despite Pentious actively working against Izzi and the Insurgency as a whole.
Cracks started to show in their partnership as Octavia's longing for normalcy clashed with Izzi's ruthless determination to reshape Hell at any cost. Their differences escalate into conflict when Octavia opposes Izzi's plan to wipe out Hell's inhabitants using black hole spells. Refusing to let Izzi use the grimoire for his own self-serving intentions, Octavia pled for Izzi to recognize the souls he is destroying, but Izzi demonstrated a blatant disregard towards these lives. Driven by a deep desire to end the cycle of death and suffering, Octavia tried to take the grimoire away fro Izzi, but he punched her away, having his underlings restrain her.
Octavia's discovery of Izzi's responsibility for her father's death launched Octavia into a fury, leading to a confrontation between the two fueled by Octavia's rage and grief. Octavia brutally attacked Izzi after transforming into her Full Demon Form. Even as the Insurgency's base was self-destructing, Octavia was determined to make Izzi pay, showing a willingness to die as long as he faced justice. However, Cherri Bomb intervened, saving Octavia to prevent her from succumbing to her desire for vengeance, allowing the Goetia to let go of her hatred for Izzi, for own good.
Death
After unintentionally killing a soul, Octavia indirectly summoned Death, who made a spectacular entrance and mockingly thanked her for providing new souls, suggesting that she was on a path to becoming a killer and therefore, a servant of Death.
Despite Death's dismissive attitude, Octavia sought his help from the Grim Reaper to revive Stolas, who had been assassinated by Izzi. Death pretended to show sympathy and proceeded to dump a complex, perilous quest on Octavia, sending her across the Universe to gather rare and dangerous items. Despite clear tension and a level of distrust, the two bounced off each other fairly well with their mutually snarky attitudes.
After completing this harrowing journey, Octavia returned to the Underworld, only to learn that Death never intended to help her. The Grim Reaper maliciously revealed that once a soul is erased, it cannot be revived. He admitted that he deceived her, having exploited her desperation just to satisfy his own whims, using the items she collected to create a cocktail sauce. This betrayal enraged Octavia, and she attacked him with a barrage of hellfire and stardust, but Death transported her away, leaving her humiliated and defeated while laughing at her misery.
Others
Hellsa Von Eldritch
Despite their families being affiliated, Octavia and Hellsa do not like each other at all. She personally dislikes Hellsa as she thinks the Princess of Envy is shallow and spoiled, though her distaste for the envious princess is likely the result of Hellsa ridiculing Octavia for her family's inferior status in comparison to the Von Eldritch. She also mocks Octavia's interests and is rather dehumanizing towards Octavia, even going as far as to call her an "it" while talking to Seviathan. Despite her annoyance, Octavia prefers to simply ignore Hellsa and deny her any attention, which sets the Princess of Envy off even more.
Quotes
Chapter 4
- "I know what it's like to feel like your world is going to fall apart at any moment. To have a home that doesn't feel like home. The pressure of feeling you've failed your parents. It's... Awful. A better future doesn't occur overnight, but it won't be like this forever. Your family might not see it, but you have a spark in you. Don't let them snuff out your light. You are worthy of love, and you'll never be truly alone. Don't forget that. I know I do, sometimes."
- — Octavia to Seviathan.
Chapter 5
- "Octavia: S- Sev...? (she runs over to him) Sev!
Seviathan: (he sees her and laughs lightly) Star! (she hugs him tightly and begins sobbing) Woah! Are you... (he reciprocates her hug) Star...
Hellsa: (walking by) Sev, look out! You have a depressed trapdoor spider on you. (snickers)
Seviathan: (to Hellsa) Hellsa, I saw some horny princes who need a little reach-around! Go find them!
Hellsa: Orphan!
Seviathan: Daddy's Whore! (to Octavia) What's wrong...?
Octavia: Oh- (she lets go of him and wipes her tears away) I'm so sorry. It's just... I heard what happened in Envy and I... (sniffles) I thought I lost you.
Seviathan: You don't need to... (sighs) ...I'm happy you're safe, too." - — Seviathan and Octavia reunite.
- "Seviathan: You look good, Tavi. You're looking taller, that's... That's cool! What's up?
Octavia: Heh, thank you! It’s really good to see you again. I’ve been... Decent. Though there’s always room for improvement, I suppose. What about you?
Seviathan: Well, considering my whole life has been turned upside down, my mom and sister want me dead, and every higher demon is calling me a kingslayer, I've been doing swell and dandy. (he laughs)
Octavia: Sev... You don't think... Your mother-
Seviathan: Hey, don't even worry about Bethesda. She's not gonna get near me, okay?
Octavia: I just don't want anything horrible to happen to you. You're one of the only friends I've had, and I've known you for so long-
Seviathan: Yo, Via. I'll be fine, 'kay? Things are still stressful with the family, but hey! It's not like it's ever not stressful with them, know what I mean, bro? I can handle it.
Octavia: Yeah... That’s true. It’s always drama, drama, drama for them. My mother wants me to... Be out socializing with people, I guess. I don’t know. I really don’t care much for the socializing, but I’m here anyways, I suppose.
Seviathan: Yeah, that seems to be a constant. I'm not that much of a people person, either. I'd rather be home reading my books or doing something that actually matters instead of... (motions to the gathering) Whatever the heaven this is.
Octavia: Right? It’s so boring. I mean, I get it, I’m part of the royalty, it’s ‘protocol’, but... Just, why do we need all these formal gatherings? I don’t get the purpose, other than for my parents to show off.
Seviathan: Well, that's the thing. In my experience, every well-to-do demon is just a snobbish, little socialite. They want everyone to see how perfect the ruling family is, when in reality, we're all a bunch of pathetic assholes.
Octavia: Exactly! You get it. I hate having to pretend that everything is so perfect when it’s really not. It just pisses me off" - — Octavia and Seviathan.
- "Hellsa: (to her clique as Octavia passes by) Here it comes. Don't look and maybe it'll go away. (she cackles) She's mad her life's falling apart. Get this, her cringefail dad cheated on her mother with a fucking peon! (she and her clique laugh loudly) If my dad did that, the only sensible thing would be to kill myself out of second-hand embarrassment!
Octavia: (she stops in her tracks, facing Hellsa) I would appreciate it if you didn’t call my dad such things, Hellsa.
Hellsa: (groans) Why are you even defending him? Is he a freak like you? Are you just trying to cling on to what little morsel of love he has for you before he runs off with the imp? (cackles cruelly) When was the last time he said he loved you, sweetie?
Octavia: Just an hour ago, actually. Maybe one day you'll hear those words from your father. (grins smugly) Oh, wait...
Hellsa: (her eye twitches and she snaps her cigarette in half) Wanna run that by me again, you little fucking freak?!
Octavia: You enjoy provoking people, don't you? Now you know how terrible it feels. (she tries to walk away, but Hellsa steps in her way, shoving her to the floor with her hair-tentacles; after an intense staredown, Octavia slowly gets back to her feet) I’m going to ask you nicely, one time. Back off, or suffer the consequences of your actions. It’s your choice.
Hellsa: You aren't gonna try shit, nowhere girl. I could buy you and your whole family if I wanted, so how about you apologize for interrupting my conversation with my adorers?
Octavia: You think everyone and everything can be bought or sold. (scoffs) You are a sad excuse of a living being. You try to bully and intimidate the younger generation out of your own pathetic insecurity, and it’s sad, truly. People like you should be overthrown by a more worthy authority, someone who genuinely cares and gives a fuck about other people, rather than just money and power. ...Are you really still going to pursue this?
Hellsa: Caring for people?! Pff! Bitch, I'm the apex predator of society! The cream of the crop! My own, personal rules apply, not the rules of fucking poor people! You don't see the powerful lions being nice to the poor, little helpless gazelles, do you?
Octavia: (she gives Hellsa a daring, almost smug smile) What if I told you lions are an endangered species these days? And that gazelles can kick a lion’s ass if they wanted to?
Hellsa: (gets directly in Octavia's face) Is that a threat?
Octavia: Oh, you’d like it to be, wouldn’t you? Unlike you, I don’t feel the need to prove myself through senseless violence. (grins and crosses her arms) Isn't it amusing...? All the power you have, and yet I am still unphased by you. What a waste.
Hellsa: (her tentacles go into a frenzy and green teeth appear from different parts of her body) You don't know how long I've wanted to do this, you little cun-
Seviathan: Hellsa. (walks up beside Octavia) You heard her. Fuck off.
Hellsa: ...Fine. I'm not gonna waste my breath on you dipshits. You two deserve each other. (she chuckles, flipping her hair over her shoulder and flicking her cigarette at Octavia before walking away, her head held high)" - — Octavia and Hellsa's intense confrontation at the royal gathering.
- "Fin: (runs up to Octavia in the Grand Hall) Yo, Starlight. You don't wanna mess with my girlfriend... That's not a threat, btdubs, you just REALLY don't wanna make her angry. It ain't pretty... But it is pretty hot.
Octavia: (she rolls her eyes) I can handle myself, thank you very much. Do you need anything? Maybe some more steroids? You alright?
Fin: Naw I don't need steroids, bro. (Rum suddenly rips his tuxedo off and begins flexing in front of Octavia, causing her to recoil and shield her eyes in disgust) It takes more than steroids to get these bad bois! Don't look at me like I'm the weirdo! You're the one with her head always in books! Listening to that cringe goth shit, talking to those dead things. You need a vibe check? Listen to some Roshell Fryday once in a while. That shit is LIT!
Octavia: (rolls her eyes again) I like my music because it's dope and makes me feel understood, alright? The songwriters understand what it’s like to feel like you’re not normal, different from everyone else. It gives me hope. And if you’re going to judge me for my hobbies and what I enjoy then why are you even talking to me, anyway?
Fin: (snoring loudly before "waking up") W- What? You say somethin'?
Octavia: ...Forget it. (she sighs) Clearly you’re just another one of those shallow jerk jocks. I deal with plenty of them at school so don't talk to me if you’re just going to mock what I like and care about. And put a damn shirt on, for Azathoth's sake...
Fin: No wonder no one wants to be around you, dude! All you do is whine, whine, whine? Want my advice?
Octavia: No.
Fin: You should try to act like the cool girls, y'know? Like, throw a party, snort some coke, get freakay!
Octavia: (she rolls her eyes and pinches her nose bridge) There are more important things to worry about than all of that nonsense. Go waste your life in the human world, if you want, but leave me out of it.
Fin: Way ahead of you, babe! I've been to the human world hundreds of times and, big shock, humans are way more funner than you. Well, it's a shithole and I don't vibe with all the pollution 'n shit, I mean, one time I walked over to two babes and all I had to do was THIS (Fin starts flexing again, disgusting Octavia). (chuckles) It's funny how all the babes squeal when I do that. I was in the middle of a blonde and brunette sandwich. Hey are you into chicks? (Octavia is just standing there with an unamused face, softly banging her head in the wall) Lemme let you in on Fin's Guide to Rizz! All you gotta do is be like, (leans on a wall and crosses his ankle) 'Hey, baby. You wanna get outta here?' Most of the time it works, it's usually just like, (he gives his fingers a snap). Just a (he snap of the fingers), and it's like, (snaps fingers in a circle; while he does this, Octavia covers her face with her beanie and walks away) Y'know what I'm saying- Oh, okay." - — Fin and Octavia at the royal gathering.
- "Octavia: I was at my mother's palace when the flood happened. She barricaded herself in the highest boudoir and... Forgot about me.
Seviathan: Stella Goetia forgetting her own daughter exists? Color me shocked.
Octavia: But... Dad was right there for me in an instant... I didn't even have to call for him. I thought after he and Mum divorced, he would just... Run off with that imp... But he was right there.
Seviathan: He can be a pain in the ass sometimes, but, well, you still have a father who loves you. ...I'm glad you got to have that." - — Seviathan and Octavia.
- "Octavia: Mum...
Stella: Ugh, what the fuck is it this time?! (she looks up to see Octavia) Oh... Octavia. Young lady, didn't we have a talk about interrupting me when I'm executing my duties?
Octavia: (hangs her head) Apologies, ma'am.
Stella: Humph. Spit out your question and be on your way.
Octavia: Why... Why is this all happening? Dad is gone, you've taken over his duties. It just seems like... Our world's been turned upside down. I'm always left standing in the dark... Just please help me understand.
Stella: Stol-ass this! Stol-ass that! Is that miserable excuse of a man all that occupies your mind?! (Stella pauses and looks over Octavia's shoulder to see Bethesda staring at her from another room; with this in mind, she eases up) Oh, darling... I had hoped this day would never come, but, of course, I expected as much from that embarrassment you call a father.
Octavia: What is that supposed to mean?!
Stella: From the moment we were arranged, he always said that all our child would ever be to him was an 'egg', and the second it came of age, he would leave all of us behind, and well... (Octavia's eyes widen) Oh, you'll figure it out. You're a smart woman.
Octavia: But... That- that- That's not true! He said he loved me! That he would never even entertain the thought of leaving me!
Stella: Oh, he told you that too? (snickers) And yet, here we are! Now that you're of age, he's broken our family, our household! Left us for a scum-sucking lowborn!
Octavia: (shakes her head vigorously, desperately fighting back tears) No, no, no! YOU'RE FUCKING LYING!!! He said everything would be ok! (voice breaking) HE SAID HE WOULD NEVER LEAVE ME! (she breaks and begins crying into her hands, slumping to the floor) It all meant nothing to him...? He always seemed so happy... You were happy together!
Stella: (with a smug smile) I only pretended to make you happy, and he, well, it was a mask, Octavia. All those silly carnival trips, all those empty proclamations of love, they were about as meaningful as his dignity. I spent 17 years telling you he would disappear one day and never come back, so don't pretend to act surprised! (Octavia continues to cry into her knees, heartbroken, as Stella sneers down at her) I'm the only one you can trust, and he will get what he deserves for embarrassing me. (chuckles dryly) Honestly, disappearing was the most dignified thing he could have done. (Octavia raises her head, tears still streaming down her cheeks) Ugh! Darling, your makeup is running. Pick yourself up, return to your room, and don't come back until you look presentable. (Octavia quickly leaves the room with a broken expression)" - — Octavia being manipulated by Stella.
- "Andrealphus: (he and Octavia teleport to Cocytus in the middle of a blizzard) Welcome to Cocytus, dear, the frozen lake of Hell. My very own dominion, gifted to me by Solomon himself. Feel free to partake in the splendor of my splendorous kingdom!
Octavia: (she looks around at Cocytus, which is just a bland, snow-covered, barren wasteland) Wow, it's... Beautiful, in a strange, twisted way, I suppose. I haven't been here since my father and I's viewing of the winter solstice five years ago. (she begins shivering and wraps her arms around herself)
Andrealphus: Do you feel cold, darling?
Octavia Y- Yes, I feel very, very cold. It feels like my bones are freezing up... (Octavia huddles up a little to try and keep herself warm, but it doesn’t seem to help a whole lot)
Andrealphus: Oh, you poor thing, your father really has been holding you back, huh? You see, Via... You have the power to manipulate winter weather. You inherited such abilities from myself and your mother, but your drab father didn't want you to find out. Focus on that measure of our essence within you. Channel it, and you will be capable of incredible things...
Octavia: (her eyes are filled with wonder and amazement) I... Alright, I'll try... (she stares out into the distance of the frozen lake, and tries to focus on channeling whatever cryokinetic abilites she might have; she takes a breath in, and tries to clear her mind as Andrealphus watches behind her in interest with crossed arms; after a few seconds, Octavia's eyes begin to glow blue, the snow falling around her comes to a stand-still and a layer of ice builds under her feet) I... (she looks at her hands, which have a layer of frost over them; she clenches her fist and closes her eyes, before opening both, a large, bright, star-like snowflake materializing on his palm) I- I did it! I... I'm not freezing anymore... It feels amazing out here!
Andrealphus: (he claps and squawks with joy) Marvelous, child! Simply marvelous!!! Now, even Cocytus will feel like Wrath to us. ...Y'know, just without the plebs. Not even Stolas can survive the temperatures of my domain for very long. (Andrealphus uses his ice powers to create a tiara and removes Octavia's beanie, placing the ice tiara on her head) Soon, you will be able to create anything with your magic. (Andrealphus uses ice and snow to create a magical image of Octavia using her powers) The sky and stars will be the limit, the limit at the mercy of your imagination! And Stolas says I'm the bad guy... (Andrealphus laughs snottily)
Octavia: (glowing with pride) This is so... Dope! I didn’t know I was capable of this much! ...He really has been hiding all of this from me, hasn’t he?
Andrealphus: Indeed. He's so ashamed of your mother's side of the family that his hatred overshadows any love he might have for your potential. He held you back to keep himself up. SAD, really!
Octavia: (she looks down sadly for a second, before grinning confidently) Well, I'm glad he can't suppress my potential any longer, I'm ready to learn all kinds of things if you'll teach me. (Octavia's eyes continue to glow blue) So, what are you going to teach me next? The world's my oyster now, isn't it?
Andrealphus: (he laughs) Eager, aren't we? Very well. (Andrealphus uses his powers to create two ice demons) These are the glaciesdaemonium. The legion of which I- erm- WE rule over. Their loyalty is unbreakable and they have no free will, of course. It's VERY advanced magic, but I'm sure you could pull off something.
Octavia: (Octavia looks at the ice demons with obvious interest) These are absolutely incredible... I’ve never been able to imagine my powers could be so versatile. Can you control them yourself?
Andrealphus: Oh, yes! That's one of my favorite pastimes! (Andrealphus turns to the ice demons) Dance for me, slaves! (they begin tap-dancing, Andrealphus squawks with laughter and claps) Now, fight to the death. (the ice demons begin brutally attacking each other until one of them is dead, all while Andrealphus laughs with sadistic glee)
Octavia: (she watches in awe as the ice demons dance and then fight, she looks at Andrealphus with shock and confusion) Your powers really are incredible. And also… A little terrifying
Andrealphus: Give it no mind, darling. The power you hold over life and death is intoxicating. They're only mindless slaves. (Andrealphus creates more ice demons from scratch) They're basically toys I can replace if they're broken. Isn't that amazing?!
Octavia: Honestly... It really is. But I just don’t know if I can stomach watching them die over... and over... again. I guess that sort of thing comes with the territory, though?
Andrealphus: (he frowns) Shit, Stolas really has taken the demon out of you...
Octavia: Oh, don’t misunderstand. I'm not averse to a little bit of bloodshed. It’s just this (Octavia gestures to the shattered pile of the dead ice demon) This seems a little sadistic, even for demons. (she gives a soft shrug) You aren’t like that, are you?
Andrealphus: (he shakes his head) Oh, no, no, no, not at all. While I may be superior to these creatures in practically every way, there's really no need to cause unnecessary harm. I am not one for violence, nor do I enjoy torturing the lesser beings. I see no reason to cause pain and suffering when there are other options. (he gains a serious expression) But, that does not mean I cannot be just as sadistic and cruel as any of my kin. It’s a method of control, and if my legions were to grow too out of control then they would rebel and hurt me in a way that’s much worse than having them destroy each other a little bit. Besides, they feeling nothing...
Octavia: (she ponders what he says) ...You're right. Forgive me for- (she is suddenly hit in the face with a snowball by Andrealphus; she falls into the snow and slowly wipes the snow from her face) Why did you do that...?
Andrealphus: (he laughs, levitating several snowballs around himself) Just trying to relieve this dreadful tension! Care for a friendly sport between uncle and niece? (Andrealphus uses his powers to send the snowballs in Octavia's direction)
Octavia: (her eyes glow blue, and she uses her powers to stop the snowfalls in their track, grinning competitively) Oh, you're so ON! (she summons snow of her own, giggling) You started this, you know! (she and Andrealphus engage in a snowball fight, with Octavia using her powers to build a snow fort to protect herself; Andrealphus continues laughing snottily while Octavia giggles as they bond over their abilities and continue their snowball war)" - — Andrealphus mentors Octavia on her ice powers and bonds with her.
- "Octavia: Daddy... Would you ever abandon me?
Stolas: Darling, I would never! Why would you even mention such a frivolous notion?
Octavia: Well, I just... Can't stop thinking about that dream I had, and you always say that our dreams can be visions of the future...
Stolas: (laughs softly) Not always, dear! You... You are my favorite star, my very reason to keep living. I will be there to read you to sleep and chase the monsters away. Even when I join the stars and it seems as though I've left you, I will still look down on you, forever. Never let that escape your thoughts, my little owlette." - — Stolas to a young Octavia while they were watching the stars.
- "Andrealphus: Aaand the runaway has returned! (to Stella) I told you she'd be back, sister dearest!
Stella: Where have you been, young lady?!
Octavia: You lied to me.
Stella: I did what?! Start making sense and speak up!
Octavia: You fucking lied to me! You told Lucifer about dad's deal, didn't you?!
Stella: He knew the rules and laws! What irresponsible fuckwit hands our ancestral grimoire to an outfit of lowborns for a pity-fuck?! He deserves whatever comes his way!
Octavia: I don't care! He's my father, and you're trying to get him killed! You don't give a fuck about me, do you?! You just want to destroy everything that brings him happiness!
Andrealphus:(with a mocking puddy-dog frown) Aw! (grins smugly) Breaks one's heart, doesn't it?
Stella: (with an irritated sigh) I don't have time for all this drama. He brought this madness onto us. (she puts her hands on a disgusted Octavia's shoulders) But I'm going to right all of his wrongs. (motions to Bethesda) Lady Bethesda is going to be your stepmother.
Octavia: W... WHAT?!
Andrealphus: (gasps loudly) What a twist!!!
Stella: Once Stolas is out of the picture, I will wed Bethesda and we will rule together. You will be the new Princess of Envy and retain your position as our heir! Does that not appeal to you?
Octavia: (she shoves Stella off of her) YOU'RE A FUCKING HYPOCRITE! All you've ever cared about is status and influence!
Andrealphus: (to Octavia; laughing) What took you so long to realize?!
Stella: YOU DARE TO ACCUSE YOUR MOTHER?!
Octavia: YOU'RE NOT MY MOTHER!!! (the room falls silent as Stella glares at Octavia angrily) ...You destroyed our home and tried to destroy our lives! (she goes to leave the house)
Stella: Where do you think you're going?!
Octavia: Finding him. I'm not going to stay here and be jailed by you. You will never see me again, and you'll only know my name. Not like you've ever cared to notice me, anyway.
Stella: NO!!! NO!!! (she grabs Octavia by her wrist)
Octavia: LET GO OF ME! (she shoves Stella off of her)
Stella: GAH! OH, YOU- (she violently punches Octavia, knocking her to the ground) FUCKING BRAT!!!
Octavia: (stunned, she struggles to get back up, wiping her face to see blood on her hands through blurry vision) H- H- How could you...
Stella: YOU DO NOT ASSAULT YOUR OWN MOTHER! Have you completely lost your fucking dignity?! (Andrealphus grins evilly and uses his powers to freeze the front door shut) When you turn 18, you can go live in the fucking slums for all I care, but until that happens and your whore of a father is dead, you live under MY roof and MY laws! DO YOU UNDERSTAND?! (Octavia begins hyperventilating before running upstairs to her room) THERE YOU GO!! YOU REALLY ARE HIS DAUGHTER!!! YOU'RE JUST LIKE HIM, RUNNING AWAY INSTEAD OF FACING ME LIKE A MAN! (punches a wall) FUCK YOU!!!" - — Octavia confronts Stella on her lies.
- "Corey: Princess Octavia! (Corey bows) I am at your service!
Octavia: (Octavia cringes) ...H- Hi. Please, there's no need for bowing or any of the honorifics. Just call me "Octavia", or "Via", or whatever." - — Octavia is greeted by Corey.
- "Octavia: (she is listening to music until she looks up to see Squish speaking to her, his words drowned out by her headphones; she rolls her eyes) Fine. (pauses her music and sighs; in a completely flat, deadpan tone) What.
Squish: ...I-
Octavia: Do you just want to make fun of me or something. Are you that king cockroach that Niffty's been trying to kill.
Squish: (with his hands on his hips) Well excuuuuuuse me, Princess!
Octavia: (she widens her eyes and scowls) Did you just call me 'princess'? (tears well in her eyes) Did you just- Did you just call me 'PRINCESS'!! (she breaks down in tears and throws her book at Squish, barely missing him) DON'T EVER CALL ME THAT!!! (she cries into her hands)
Squish: HOLY SHIT! (he hides behind a drawer, peeking out seconds later to see Octavia crying; feeling sympathy, he comes out of hiding) So, uhhhh... what was that about?
Octavia: (takes a deep breath) ...I get called names like 'princess' every day by ignorant people at school. It's so annoying and you were not the first one to call me that. (looks away from Squish) I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have yelled at you. It's just... pent up aggression and all.
Squish: (after a pause, he sits next to Octavia and wraps his arm around her, offering her support as Octavia's eyes widen in surprise) I'm... I'm sorry about that. This hotel is supposed to be the place to get away from coke-addicted trust fund babies! (Octavia laughs and sniffles) I guess I need to work on my people skills...
Octavia: (she laughs again) We both do... (she scoops Squish up in her arms, hugging him) Thank you. I wish more people were as compassionate and understanding as you.
Squish: Woah-! (eyes widen as Octavia scoops him up; he awkwardly pats her hands, the awkwardness melting away) Just... being a friend." - — Squish and Octavia.
- "Izzi: G'day, love...
Octavia: H- How did you get in here?! (produces pink fire in his fists) Who the fuck are you?!
Izzi: (tips his hat) Name's Izzi. Not a friend... But not an enemy either. Ya have quite a reputation among the denizens of Hell. 'The 36th's Daughter', 'Spoiled Brat Born with a Silver Spoon in 'er Mouth'. Most of my mates see ya as just another stuck-uppity demon who ain't good fer nothin' but target practice... (vanishes into the shadows, reappearing behind Octavia) But I know ya better'n that. I can see straight through ya. (chuckles) Ain't that right, darlin'?
Octavia: (she seems tense while also intrigued) W-What do you want with me?
Izzi: Ta help ya, love. (he strokes Octavia's hair as she recoils and shudders) Yer so much better than all the others. I can help ya break free from that gilded bird cage yer family's kept ya in... I'll protect ya.
Octavia: (smacks Izzi's hand away) You tried to kidnap me and kill my friends! You're a satandamn monster who uses freedom to justify killing anyone you please! The fact that you stand there and call yourself a hero... Makes me want to throw up.
Izzi: (groans playfully, putting his hands up) Yer smart as a whip, ya know that? Ya got me, love. I'm the 'ead of the Insurgency. I got no qualms with bein' called a monster, either, and mind you, love, I neva claimed to be a hero. But I know what I'm doin'. And whether you like it or not, joinin' me is the only way to save yer father...
Octavia: Dad...? What do you know of my father?! (her eyes flash with pink fire) SPEAK!!!
Izzi: I'm 'fraid yer daddy's gotten on Luci's bad side. Rumor is he wants to kill your father over some doomsday prophecy, or sum shit.
Octavia: (her eyes widen) Are you telling the truth...?
Izzi: You think a bloke like me would be so inclined to lie about somethin' so significant? Yer daddy's pushed his luck this time, I'm 'fraid.
Octavia: (she goes pale) This is... This is terrible. What else is going on in Hell that I don’t know about?! Why does everything have to be so shitty?! (she cries into her hands) Who is to be trusted? Who can I believe...?
Izzi: (he makes Octavia face him) Me, love. Lucifer has ruled fer far too long. His tyranny must end. And the only bloke who can make that happen... Is you. Ya know what I want? No more hierarchy. No more Overlords. No more kings, And, most importantly... No more Lucifer. (he touches Octavia's chin in a comforting manner) Join me, O... And not even a feather on yer daddy's head will be harmed...
Octavia: (she seems to consider it for a second before glaring at Izzi and smacking his hand away) Your vague promises mean nothing to me, you fucking maniac! I... I can save my father myself!
Izzi: (raises his eyebrow in amusement) Ya sure 'bout that, mate?
Octavia: I- I... I want your help... But your methods are too extreme! So much blood has been shed already... I don't need you to tell me how to keep my own father safe! Now... Get the FUCK away from me!
Izzi: (shrugs and sighs) I geddit, darlin'. A lot to process, right? Yer still a kid... 17 years old, feelin' like the weight of Hell is on yer shoulders... (Octavia's expression softens) ...I can't imagine it. Just take a deep breath, and think it over, love. I know you'll come back ta me. (he heads over to the window of the room) The Insurgency's door is always open, Via. I believe in ya to make the right choice... Take care. (he winks at Octavia before leaping out of the window into the night)" - — Izzi tries to propose a deal to Octavia.
- "Crymini: (As she and Octavia are walking to the mall, Crymini's hair stands as she sees a Pentagram City Police Officer surveying the area) Fuck, it's one of those oinkers...
Octavia: (She takes note of the officer, sighing) Mini, I know you don't like them, but just... Show a little restraint this time? Hasn't there been enough trouble already?
Crymini: (Crymini huffs and crosses her arms like a child) Fine, whatever, fuck you...
Octavia: (She smiles a little, looking relieved) Thank you...
PCPD Officer: (He looks at Octavia and Crymini as they pass him) Make sure you young ladies get where you're going safely.
Crymini: Fuck you, pig.
Octavia: Mini, what the fuuuck?" - — Crymini and Octavia passing a PCPD officer.
- "Squish: Pentious said it might've went in the basement... (Crymini opens the door to the hotel's basement; the basement is practically painted in complete darkness, the stairs leading to a black void; Squish's pupils shrink and he lets out the loudest gasp) Oh, HELL NO!!! (he tries to turn back, but Crymini picks him up by the back of the neck)
Crymini: Fuck do you think you're fucki' going?
Squish: (he struggles) WE ARE NOT FUCKING GOING DOWN THERE!
Crymini: You know a fuckin' ghost is loose, right? Plus, the goddamn power's off, we gotta get to the breaker.
Squish: W- W- WELL, THEN WE'LL GO AFTER THE GHOST TOMORROW! I don't care! I don't give a shit what it is, I am NOT going down there! FUCK THAT SHIT!!! I don't give a FUCK about the power! We'll sit in total fucking darkness until sunrise, and THEN we'll go to the dark, creepy-ass basement!
Octavia: (she sighs) Probably... a good idea to not go down there...
Crymini: (she sighs, dropping Squish; under her breath) Fine, fuckin' pussies...
Squish: (he crawls over to Octavia) Via.. you may be dark... but you have a heart of light...
Octavia: (looking at Squish like he's crazy) ...The fuck does that mean?
Squish: I- I don't fucking know. I don't fuckin' know where I was going with that." - — Squish, Crymini and Octavia ghostbusting.
- "Squish: (he, Crymini and Octavia are walking through the hotel in the dark, using a flashlight to illuminate their surroundings) I don't like this one bit, guys! Why the hell did we split up in the first damn place?!
Crymini: 'Cuz the hotel is fucking massive, dumbass. (as the trio walk down the long hall, Crymini looks over at Octavia) You okay?
Octavia: Oh, of course. I'm fine, really. This... ghostbusting doesn’t have the same affect on me as it does others... I’ve always seen the beauty in horror.
Crymini: (she giggles uncontrollably) The 'beauty in horror'? Pfffff... (she snorts) Like you've ever actually experienced a genuine horror, kid.
Octavia: ...You do make a valid point. Maybe I don't know much about true fear... But, I like to think that if I were to come face to face with a spirit that would be capable of actually putting my life in genuine danger... I’d just be more fascinated than afraid. I’d be interested to study this subject, even if it’s something that could potentially harm me.
Crymini: Ugh! Octi, that's the dumbest fuckin' logic I have ever heard! You fucking think you'd be fucking interested to study the thing that's actively putting your life in fuckin' danger? Get off the horror movies for once and get a fucking reality check before you get hurt!
Octavia: (she smiles slightly) ...You’re really sweet, Mini. But, I won’t get hurt, I promise. I’ll be fine, honest. (Crymini and Octavia share a look, with Crymini blushing deeply)
Squish: HELLLOOOO?! There's a fucking ghost loose in the hotel!
Crymini: The fuck do you want us to fucking do? We've been looking for the damn thing for ten fuckin' hours now.
Squish: I'm glad you asked! (cut; Squish presents futuristic-looking guns to Octavia and Crymini) We're gonna use these guns. They emit a bolt of concentrated antimatter which can dissolve ectoplasmic cells. And, uh... don't tell Baxter I stole these from his secret stockpile.
Crymini: I mean... (she picks up a gun, looking at it) I'm down for using guns 'n' shit, but how the fuck do you know this fucking crap even works?
Squish: Baxter tested them on me. Believe me, they work.
Crymini: You're not a ghost. You're a dumbass.
Squish: Well, it hurt, and I didn't feel normal again for a couple months! So it's gotta do something! (while loading the gun with ammunition, Squish sees Crymini offering a gun to Octavia) Mini, what are you doing?! You can't give a plasma pistol to a minor!
Crymini: Why not? It ain't illegal here. You gonna fuckin' report me or something?
Octavia: Uh... (she gently pushes Crymini's hand away) No thanks, Mini.
Squish: Alright, guys, we may not know what this ghost looks like, but Pentious screamed like it was terrifying, so we should find it pretty fast. I'm the most level-headed person here, so- (Valentine suddenly bursts into the hallway in a wispy, ghost-like form, flying around erratically) WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?! OH MY FUCKING GOD!!!! OH MY GOD!!!! (Squish blasts his plasma gun wildly while taking cover under a table)" - — Squish, Crymini and Octavia ghostbusting 2 electric BOOgaloo!!!!
- "Blitzø: Come on, sweetie... (Blitzø tries to touch Octavia's shoulder) It's not safe here-
Octavia: DON'T YOU FUCKING COME NEAR ME!!! (Octavia's magical aura knocks Blitzø back; she produces large spikes of ice to prevent Blitzø from approaching her and Stolas' corpse) You ruined my fucking life! YOU KILLED HIM!
Blitzø: No! Via, please-
Octavia: (Octavia sniffles and laughs) Don't you understand anything, do you? ..If you hadn't manipulated him at his most vulnerable, he would still be alive! My family is DEAD! You destroyed my home! You ruined my fucking life!! THAT'S ALL YOU FUCKING DO! (Octavia tries to say more, but her breath hitches as she pulls Stolas' corpse close)
Blitzø: (desperately) No, Octavia, PLEASE LISTEN TO ME!!! I- I never wanted any of this! It wasn't supposed to end like this! Just- Just come with me, please! (Blitzø hangs his head) I- I need this...
Octavia: (Octavia's eyes turn bright red) ...No. What you need is to run. Stay the fuck away from me, for your own good. Have fun with that fucking crystal, while you still can. I swear to Azathoth, I WILL MAKE YOU SUFFER FOR WHAT YOU DID TO US!!! ...WHAT YOU DID TO ME!!!" - — Octavia swears revenge against Blitzø following Stolas' death.
- "Charlie: And, Via... (she motions to Alastor, whose grin deepens at seeing Octavia) This is Alastor. (she chuckles nervously) Y'know, (awkwardly) the Radio Demon~?
Crymini: (to Octavia) Yeah, Al got roped into babysitting or some fucking bullshit. I guess he's gonna make sure we're safe...
Octavia: Well, now I feel unsafe.
Alastor: (butting in between Octavia and Crymini) ALASTOR! (he forcefully shakes Via's hand, causing Crymini to growl lowly) Pleasure to meet the acquaintance of a (he politely bows) Goetic heiress!
Octavia: (she cringes when Alastor bows to her before looking at her hand, squinting) Is that... someone's... fucking blood?
Alastor: (hurriedly) It's technically my blood, I'm in possession of it. (normally) Now, (he wraps his one arm around Crymini and the other around Octavia; Crymini snarls while Octavia is cringing) I know you ladies may think you're of the age where you can engage in whatever rabble-rousing you take pleasure in, and, personally, I'd agree wholeheartedly! Buuut, Charlie insisted on my chaperoning. So, you can blame this all on her.
Crymini: (to Charlie) Yeah, leave us with the fuckin' cannibal, Overlord, dog-killer. (she crosses her arms) Good one, Char.
Charlie: (with a reassuring smile) You two have nothing to worry about. I ordered Al to only lay a finger on someone if it's to scare off any creeps... (she suddenly snaps to Alastor, looking scary as fuck and speaking in a corrupted, threatening, and protective tone) RIGHT, Al?
Alastor: Haha, indeed!! And everybody knows I would never break the rules, darling! (he sneers at Crymini) Besides... (he condescendingly pets Crymini) I only kill strays. (he and Mic laugh heartily together)" - — Charlie tasks Alastor with looking after Crymini and Octavia / Octavia meeting Alastor.
- "Valentino: (he exits a store beside one Crymini and Octavia were checking out, running into them; both of them look up at him with widened eyes; he looks down at them, a sharp grin creeping on his face) ...What are you doin' out here, alll alone in the big, scary city, hmmm~?
Crymini: (as Octavia looks like she's going into fight-or-flight mode, Crymini protectively puts herself in between the Overlord and Via) We know your game, you fuckin' shitsack. (flips him off) Go fuckin' deepthroat a cactus.
Valentino: Awwww, whaaat? Am I not your type? (he laughs, taking a drag on his cigarette and puffing a heart-shaped cloud at Octavia and Crymini) How cute. Your pet Hellhound is pretty feisty, I see, and that makes you all the more appealing to me~....
Crymini: PET FUCKIN' HELLHOUND?!?!
Octavia: (she begins glaring daggers at Valentino and steps in front of Crymini) She is not a pet, nor a Hellhound. She's my friend, and you'll do well to fuck off and leave us both alone. (she clenches her fists, which become consumed in purple fire; even Crymini seems surprised at what's happening)
Valentino: (he seems more amused, chuckling for about five seconds straight) Ah... A Goetia heireece runaway with daddy issues and her fiery mutt. (his eyes begin glowing pink as his grin deepens) I know there's an audience for you two somewhere... Tell me, what's your names?
Octavia: Like Heaven I'll tell you anything about us. And I'm not a runaway, dickhead.
Crymini: (her eyes turn full red and she stands beside Octavia) She said fuck off! Are you fuckin' deaf AND blind?!
Valentino: (to Crymini) I see your little birdie didn't bother domesticating you, what with you speaking when the high-class are talking. (to Octavia) It's alright, we all have our kinks. (he chuckles, titling his head in amusement as he suddenly grabs Crymini by the chin, leaning in) But since you're clearlyso desperate for my attention, here's a fun fact; fiery ones like you often give the best head. Such spunk is wasted when you're barely scraping by... Maybe after we... file your teeth or somethin', you could work wonders on your pillow princess here.
Octavia: (she grabs Val's wrist, her eyes glowing with anger) Leave. Her. Alone.
Valentino: (he recoils in surprise, then scowls in anger, raising his other hand as if to strike Octavia) You fucking-!!
Alastor: Valentino... (he materializes in between Valentino and the two, a broad grin on his face) Fancy running into you, but I think we've all just about had enough of your charm, hmmm?
Valentino: (he groans) Oh, fuck me, it's the Radio Demon... You part of this frilly girls' night out?
Alastor: Actually, Charlie, the princess of Hell mind you, put me in charge of chaperoning these two and preventing any and all 'creeps' looking to dampen their evening fun. That goes for creepy crawlies and deviant filth. Sound familiar...?
Valentino: (he sneers at Alastor, before turning to Octavia and Crymini, composing himself) Ladies, what do you say to removing this third wheel? Not everyone has to be a turbo virgin like him.
Alastor: (shaking his head and checking his nails) Mmm-mmm. I think these two ladies have said all they have to say to you.
Valentino: (he sneers, fixing his coat) Whatever the fuck you say, old man. (to Octavia and Crymini) My offer still stands, ladies. You know where to find me if you change your minds~ Vee Tower, can't miss it. (he blows out a large cloud of smoke that swirls around him; he teleports away through it, his laughs echoing)
Alastor: (long pause; cheerfully) ...Anyhoo, how was Stylish Occult?!
Crymini: (her left ear twitches and her tail flicks) Don’t think you’re off the fuckin' hook, radio fuck. You let him harass us for your own amusement and then swooped in and play the big hero, didn’t you?
Alastor: (with a large grin) Guilty as charged, my dear. I always enjoyed a touch of theatrics. (he and Mic laugh together, before his voice softening slightly) Though, I must admit... even I have limits. That pesky bug stepping any further would have surely spoiled our evening. And yours.
Octavia: (tilting her head) 'Our' evening...? (tentatively) So... you actually wanted to help us? Like, really helped us?
Alastor: (with a proud, mysterious grin and slight bow) Interpret my actions as you will. But, I do detest seeing the innocent or naïve tangled in the web of someone like him. (he leans on his cane) Now, you two continue your rabble-rousing! My advice? Commit vandalism! And the secret ingredient all the great nights-out; ARSON! Forget this ever happened. (he backs away, vanishing in the shadows) And I'll keep a close eye...
Crymini: (grumbling, crossing her arms, clearly not having it with Alastor's theatrics; she and Octavia continue walking down the streets of Pentagram City together) Fuckin' asshole Overlords.
Octavia: I still don’t trust that guy. But... that was pretty cool of him, I guess?
Crymini: (her look softens a bit) ...Yeah. I guess it was." - — Valentino harasses Crymini and Octavia after running into them on their night out.
