The Pride Ring, or simply Pride, is the highest ring in Hell and the primary location of Hazbin Hotel: Journey to the Light.
The largest and most diverse ring of Hell, Pride is home to all of Hell's sinners. These condemned souls are restricted to this particular realm, devoid of the freedom to journey across Hell's various other rings unless granted explicit permission from a sovereign authority. In contrast, Hellborn demons enjoy unhindered passage in and out of Pride. Furthermore, it is within this circle that the yearly Extermination event transpires—a drastic measure aimed at addressing the predicament of Hell's burgeoning population.
Description[]
In contrast to the distinctive themes characterizing the remaining circles of Hell, Pride stands apart by lacking a unifying motif. Most of its cities bear a striking resemblance to the gritty urban sprawls that dot Earth. This likeness exists to provide a sense of familiarity for the sinners who reside there. The region is meticulously arranged into an array of cities and towns, while the periphery boasts an arid expanse reminiscent of a desert terrain. When night falls, the heavens above adopt a deep crimson hue, while daytime unveils a pale red, almost pinkish tint to the sky.
Pride is the largest and most diverse of Hell. It is divided into nine different sections referred to by its denizens as the "Nine Circles" with each "circle" coming with their own quirks and lore.
Owing to the inherent indulgence in sin within its populace, Pride's society is characterized by an exceedingly tumultuous and crime-infested environment. Consequently, it ranks among the most dysfunctional of Hell's rings, a distinction it shares only with the Wrath Ring. Despite this prevailing disorder, Pride manages to sustain rudimentary public amenities, as evidenced by institutions like the Pentagram City Police Department and the presence of a fire department in Imp City. Predominantly, the governance of Pride's cities and inhabitants is overseen by a potent coalition of sinners and demons, collectively identified as the Overlords. Among these Overlords, certain figures hold considerable sway, effectively dominating specific aspects of the ring's functioning. A prime illustration of this is Vox, who exercises near-total control over the realm of television and technology within Pride. Notably, several regions fall under the rule of elevated demons of noble lineage, such as the governance of the imp population by the former ruler Stolas.
Owing to the incessant influx of sinners that materialize within the circle at a constant rate, Pride finds itself plagued by an issue of overpopulation. As a response to this challenge, the concept of an annual event called Extermination Day was conceived. During this occasion, the Exterminators descended upon the ring with the intent of eliminating every sinner within their sight. This morbid undertaking served as a temporary solution to alleviate the overpopulation predicament, albeit only until the cycle repeats with the next Extermination.
The motif of eyes recurs prominently within the Pride Ring, manifesting on diverse elements such as windows, edifices, illuminations, and various other static structures. These ocular symbols, however, possess a hidden function—they serve as enchanted surveillance apparatuses. Lucifer and Carmilla Carmine employ these mystical devices to maintain constant vigilance over the ring and its inhabitants, granting them continuous oversight.

Trivia[]
- Pride is slightly larger than the other rings of Hell.
- As can be seen from Katie Killjoy's reporting and HuniBun podcasts, the Pride Ring is divided into Nine Circles-lesser kingdoms usually ruled by the Noble King of Goetia. Only the Pentagram (first circle of Pride) has no Goetia king and is ruled entirely by the Overlords, it is also the location of Castle Magne and the Hazbin Hotel.
- According to Corey, Pride usually has a population of around 50.7 billion by the time of the yearly Extermination.
- The rationale behind the striking resemblance of the Pride Ring to conventional human civilizations lies in the process wherein sinners, upon their rebirth within Pride, gradually began reconstructing the environments they had grown accustomed to during their lifetimes. This led to the establishment of familiar locales such as bars, drug stores, and strip clubs, mirroring the aspects of their former lives.
- Sinners make up 99,5% of the population, Hellborns are 0,5%.
- Heaven can be seen in Pride's skies in the form of a moon-like object with a halo around it.
- Although Pride apparently suffers from overpopulation issues, it has never been shown or mentioned how this actually affects life within the ring, if at all.
- All of the eyes scattered throughout Pride are actually surveillance used by Lucifer to keep tabs and gather information on sinners and Overlords.
- Although Pride is Lucifer's personal domain, he is noted by many to not be a very politically active ruler. Rather than directly governing Pride, Lucifer has largely delegated substantial authority over Pride to figures like Lilith, Ars Goetia, and the Overlords. These entities function as agents to sustain the established power dynamics. In the meanwhile, Lucifer finds his amusement by organizing gatherings and indulging in spontaneous activities within his castle or the realm of Lu Lu World.
- There is no grass in Pride.
- The Pride Ring is the second hottest ring in Hell (behind the Wrath Ring), with nigh-endless humid and sweltering temperatures. Because of this, most of its denizens reek and sweat constantly.
