King Seraphiel of Heaven is a mentioned character in Hazbin Hotel: Journey to the Light.
He is the grand vizier of God and one of His most trusted and loyal servants, the King of Heaven's angelic population, and the patriarch and Head Seraphim of the Seraphim family. He is one of the most influential beings in Heaven, only second to God Himself. He is also the composer of God's choir (being Lucifer's replacement), which consists of his beloved daughters.
Personality[]
Very little is known about Seraphiel's personality. However, those who have met him, such as Asherah and his daughters, speak of him as a warm, familial, and loving angel who cannot stop talking about his beloved daughters.
He is deeply compassionate, generous, and benevolent, as he, along with Sera, showed kindness towards Adina into their home and treated her like family after her own family was wiped out in the War in Heaven, showing that he is quite charitable as well.

From what can be gathered from his appearances on Heaven's gates, Seraphiel likely has multiple eyes.

Natural Powers[]
- Angelic Power: As the King of Heaven, the king of angels, and one of the closest angels to God, Seraphiel is blessed with an immense amount of angelic power. This power renders him equal to all of the members of the Morningstar family and the most powerful being in Heaven, after God.
- Angelic Transformation: Seraphiel, like all angels, can effortlessly switch between a more humanoid angelic form, and a Lovecraftian, almost alien-like Full Angel Form.
- Fire Immunity: Seraphiel is immune to standard and holy flames, as well as hellfire. In his Full Angel Form, he becomes entirely engulfed in holy fire.
- Flight: Seraphiel likely possesses six wings that allow him to fly and hover through the air.
- Immortality: Seraphiel is immortal and has an infinitely long lifespan.
- Pyrokinesis: Like all seraphim, Seraphiel can generate holy flames, allowing him to perform divine destructions. He can make it rain fire, and can summon meteorites capable of annihilating virtually anything they strike.

- Clairvoyance: Seraphiel can see through any of the eyes atop the gates of Heaven of his choosing.
- Teleportation: Seraphiel can teleport anywhere he wants, disappearing and reappearing in a flash of bright light.

Serenity[]
Serenity is Seraphiel's youngest daughter. He loves Serenity as he does all his daughters and they appear to be very close, with Serenity very much takes after her father, sharing his upbeat attitude and longing of adventure. He wants Serenity to succeed in uniting Heaven and Hell and wants her to understand that she is still essential to Heaven despite her lower rank, referring to her as the "sun of Heaven".
Quotes[]
Chapter 5[]
- "Sera: Father, shouldn't you be attending to your duties?
Seraphiel: Hmm? Do you not want to meet your sisters?
Sera: You're a salient figure in our society, one rank behind the Heavenly Father. It seems rather capricious.
Seraphiel: (chuckles with an eyebrow raised) Someone's been fraternizing with Nostradamus. Ease your mind, dear, all my chores for the day have been completed. Besides, I don't set aside my family to make room for my duties, I set aside my duties to make room for my family. (he taps his cane, causing the cloud below him and Sera to begin flying towards the Seraphim castle in Seraphim Square; the scene cuts to him and Sera entering a room filled with floating stars and several baby cribs)
Sera: They are sleeping... We shouldn't disturb them.
Seraphiel: Oh, they won't even notice! (he flies over to the baby cribs, laughing as Sera slowly approaches the cribs; he holds up two babies) Serella and Serena! Twins. (he chuckles, setting them down gently and holding up another baby) Seraphina! (the baby wakes up, crying and flying around rabidly, engulfing herself in flames) WO-HO! (he chases Seraphina around the room) Maybe you were right, Sera! (Sera facepalms as Seraphiel catches Seraphina, setting her back in her crib before tapping on a passing star, which begins to play music, soothing the baby down as her flame dissipate; whispering) Something tells me she'll have a passion for fashion! (he giggles, holds up another baby) Serendipity! You can rest easy, Sera, 'cuz if anything is out of place, she'll be the first to notice. (he laughs and sets Serendipity down) And the last born... (he holds up a newborn Serenity as Sera tilts her head) Serenity. (he goes to set her down)
Sera: Can I... Please hold her, father?
Seraphiel: (he faces Sera) Of course you shall. (he hands Serenity over to Sera, who cradles Serenity and stares at her) What's this? (he puts his hand to his head and begins humming) Ah! She will be the first face saints will see when they enter through the pearly gates. And what's this...? I sense she will try to make Heaven and Hell equally blessed and sacred for all. (he claps his hands and giggles) Oooh, goodie!!
Sera: Hell...? Father, why should we be concerned for what transpires in Hell? It's not in our position to look out for little demons.
Seraphiel: Just because it's not our prerogative, does that mean we should kick up our feet in our crystal towers and do nothing?
Sera: With all due respect, I believe that we have more important things to do beyond giving demons the benefit of the doubt.
Seraphiel: There is some truth to that. But, sometimes, should we see a way to make life and afterlife more fulfilling to others, we should act. We may never know if there are any sinners and Hellborn willing to repent. That's for them to decide. (he approaches Sera and Serenity as Serenity coos and snuggles up to Sera) Serenity will do things that will test you. She may even drive you crazy! (chuckles) But... She will always have the best intentions. Take care of your sisters, Sera. Never let anything happen to them." - — Seraphiel showing Sera her newborn sisters in a flashback.
