Prince Seviathan Von Eldritch of Envy is a major character in Hazbin Hotel: Journey to the Light.
He serves as a pictured background character in Chapter 1 and Chapter 2, a mentioned character in Chapter 3, the deuteragonist of Chapter 4, and a supporting character in Chapter 5.
He is the "playboy" prince of the Envy Ring and a member of the Von Eldritch family, one of the most affluent, prestigious, and elite families in Hell. He is the son of the King and Queen of Envy, Leviathan and Bethesda Von Eldritch, and the twin older ex-brother of the Princess of Envy, Hellsa Von Eldritch. He is also a childhood friend and the ex-boyfriend of Charlie Magne, the Princess of Hell.
Sporting a charismatic exterior concealed beneath a facade of a confident and self-assured "dudebro" persona, Seviathan's life trajectory has been fundamentally shaped by the imposing weight of his family's expectations. From the moment of his birth, he was thrust into a role, groomed solely to fulfill the grand ambition of uniting with Charlie Magne. This union was intended to pave the way for the Eldritch family's ascent, enabling them to topple the established Magne family's dominion over Hell. However, this ambition wasn't merely aspirational; it was enforced through dire means. Leviathan, his father, wielded threats of violence, even death, against Seviathan if he were to falter in courting the princess. Harsh punishments awaited him for every perceived misstep or failure, leaving him trapped within a cycle of torment.
After two millennia spent living under the oppressive shadow of his father, Seviathan's inner rebellion eventually ignited. He orchestrated a pivotal rebellion against Leviathan, ultimately contributing to the downfall of his oppressive father. This courageous act came at a cost: he was cast out from his family, subjected to excommunication, and forcefully exiled from Envy by Bethesda, marking a decisive break from the life he had known. However, after more or less reconciling with Hellsa, a reinvigorated Seviathan returned to Envy to reclaim his birthright as king of the oceanic ring.

Background[]
Seviathan is the so-called first born to the King and Queen of Envy, Leviathan and Bethesda Von Eldritch. His conception was all part of a plot set up by his father to raise him to marry Lucifer Magne's daughter, Charlie Magne, which would grant Seviathan, and by extension his father, power over all of Hell and allow Leviathan to get even closer to Charlie's family, massacre them all, and take over Hell itself while using Seviathan as a puppet ruler. In reality, Seviathan was only one in hundreds, or possibly thousands, of children that Leviathan and Bethesda conceived in secret for years after Hell was formed, though all who came from their eggs were brutally killed and thrown aside by Leviathan shortly after, who sacrificed his own children to appease Azathoth. However, following Charlie's birth, the King of Envy decided to spare his last two remaining children, that being Seviathan and his future twin sister, Hellsa, in hopes that they would both be of use to him one day.
Throughout his childhood, Leviathan and Bethesda raised their children to believe virtues such as compassion, mercy, and friendship to be weaknesses, and that their family's supremacy was the most important thing in the Universe. Seviathan was spoiled and practically decorated as a child, with his parents giving him the best of everything as far as material possessions go. The only hand-me-down Seviathan ever received from them were the old family hatred against those with both a lower and higher social status than them - in the latter's case, the Magne family. This appeared to have worked, as Seviathan was elitist, selfish, and inconsiderate at a young age. Seviathan and Hellsa were very competitive siblings who shared a fierce sibling rivalry, attempting to one-up each other and constantly jousting for the approval of their apathetic parents, who would both remain unimpressed despite both of their efforts. Seviathan and his sister also lived under a very strict set of rules in their household; they were not allowed to interact with the lower class in any way, could not go anywhere their parents did not want them to, were prohibited from venturing beyond Hell-antis unless it was for family business trips, and all of their friends would have to be approved by their parents.
At some point shortly before he met Charlie, Leviathan showed his son the corpses of his siblings, which her hidden in the depths of the Von Eldritch castle, as a warning to the prince that he would suffer the same fate as his siblings should he fail to please his father. This event left a permanent mark on Seviathan's psyche.
Shortly after, Seviathan and Hellsa were set up to meet the Princess of the Hell, Charlotte Magne, for the first time in a playdate. At first, Seviathan was not interested at all in meeting Charlie, believing that she was going to be stuck-up and pompous like most royal demons in Hell. However, upon finally meeting the Princess of Hell, Seviathan was taken by surprise, as she was very friendly and easygoing with him. While getting to know Charlie, he finally discovered what love and friendship was, which he did not even know the concept of, due to living with his utterly loveless family. The Prince of Envy and the Princess of Hell quickly befriended each other and remained close friends throughout their childhoods, blossoming a close, and eventually, loving friendship with each other.
As a result of Charlie's influence, Seviathan began to soften up, becoming more considerate towards others, which his family began to take notice of. The prince's family had been watching his son and Charlie with a close eye, and they began fearing that the prince had forgotten his mission and was becoming too close to the princess. To remind Seviathan, Leviathan began subjecting his son to extreme mental and physical abuse to remind him of his supposed purpose in life, and encouraged Bethesda and Hellsa to treat Seviathan even more harshly. Whenever Leviathan would spot "weakness" in his son, he would punish him using extremely cruel and inhumane methods, at one point even locking him inside of a water-filled chamber full of starving piranhas for a full day to punish him for failing to propose to Charlie.
Whenever Seviathan was being greatly bothered by members of his family, he would sneak out of the castle without permission and go to a hidden trench miles away from his castle to relax and admire the hidden beauty of the Envy Ring. The trench eventually became something of a "safe place" for him. During this time, the Prince of Envy began contemplating running away from his home, but would never go through with it as he knew his family would eventually find him and a dire punishment would be awaiting him.
In one notable event in Seviathan's childhood, he and Charlie stumbled upon an injured dog-fish hybrid creature whose leg had been bitten off by an unseen predator. Charlie quickly tended to the pup's wound and encouraged Seviathan to keep it at his castle and nurse it back to health. The prince was hesitant when offered to take care of the dog, fearing his family would discover its existence, but eventually agreed to nurse it after Charlie insisted. Later that day, Seviathan snuck into his room with the pup, and over the course of a week, took great care to keep the dog a secret from anyone in the castle. As the pup recovered, its needs and appetite increased, to the point where the prince gave up half of his meals to feed it. Despite initially seeing the pup as an annoyance that Charlie burdened upon him, he grew slightly close to it after it had cuddled with him and kept him company during the nights.
Seviathan's happiness would not last forever, as his sister, Hellsa, discovered the pup's existence while snooping around his room, and promptly informed their father of its presence. When Seviathan returned home from school, Leviathan was waiting for him in his room, holding the pup in hand, inquiring what his son was doing with the pup. The prince attempted to cover for himself by lying to his father, claiming the pup wandered into his room. Suspecting his son was not being honest, Leviathan tested his son by injuring the dog using his claws, causing it great pain, which got a facial reaction out of the prince. Now knowing the truth, Leviathan indignantly inquired why the prince would "burden" himself by caring for a "weak" creature. When Seviathan attempted to explain the situation, Leviathan scolded his son by telling the prince that he should have left the dog to die, as it is not their responsibility to care for lesser beings, before handing his unsettled son the pup and ordering him to kill it. Claiming it was a "lesson", Leviathan told the prince that he must know when to remove weak things from their world, before menacingly asking his son if he was weak. The young prince, knowing he would be killed if he did not execute the animal on the spot, broke down in tears after looking at the pup he had taken care of one last time. The prince looked away as he reluctantly strangled the pup to death, all while his father looked on with sadistic satisfaction.
As a result of his father's constant abuse and threats, Seviathan became a very self-absorbed and toxic individual as Leviathan had systematically destroyed his positive traits, which ended up backfiring for Leviathan in the long run. He had also began trying to drive Charlie away from him, knowing that she would be giving Leviathan what he wanted if she got too close to Seviathan.
Shortly after graduating Hell School, in which they attended prom as the king and queen, Charlie ended her relationship with Seviathan for his toxic behavior. According to Charlie, Seviathan "whined" to his father after the break-up, prompting Leviathan to begin harassing Charlie in an attempt to coerce the princess into getting back together with Seviathan, although Charlie always refused to, leaving the prince and his father deeply embittered towards the Magne family.

In "The Deadly Ground", after the eight year timeskip, Charlie shares stories about Seviathan to Angel Dust, Fergus, Vaggie, Cherri Bomb, Manco, and the seven angel children to pass time while traveling in Baxter's ship to the green planet. The crew laugh over how petty and "dumb" Seviathan is, especially after Charlie recounts how the prince complained to his dad after Charlie broke up with him. Fergus, while sharpening a knife shifted from his robotic arm, asks Charlie if he is allowed to teach Seviathan a lesson for being a "prissy, spoiled pussy". Charlie takes this as a joke, although she does tell Fergus not to kill him. Fergus seemingly says he won't, but continues sharpening his blade while Charlie isn't looking. Charlie then says that, looking back, the only good thing about Seviathan was that, if she never broke up with him, she wouldn't have fell in love with Vaggie, prompting Vaggie to lovingly embrace Charlie.

Alone. Rinse and repeat. It was nearly impossible to impress my father. He was never impressed by his children. I spoke out of turn, if I didn't toe the line, well... Let's just say he is not a very forgiving being. He always said I would only have his favor if I eloped with Charlie. And I believed him. Every single word he said. He craved power. All I ever wanted was a 'well done'. Like the rest of his family, Seviathan hides behind a façade of power, confidence, and dominance, appearing as the type of demon the denizens of Hell aspire to be like. His public image is that of a rich, young, "chad" playboy or jerk jock who surrounds himself with expensive cars and models, spends the majority of his time partying at prestigious nightclubs, and is swooned over by millions of female demons, even coming equipped with an entourage of demonic sirens who sing entire songs devoted to how he's more "perfect" than everyone else. Never short of snappy one-liners, he boasts his family's influence, wealth, and power and is very sarcastic and passively rude towards others, throwing at time childishly cocky or elitist remarks at most people's sentiments, only ever restraining himself when speaking to his parents.
Contrary to his outward appearance, Seviathan employs his confident facade as a shield to conceal a profound struggle with depression. Operating under the mask of a "dumb jerk chad," he strategically navigates a persona that contrasts with his genuine emotional state. While the world perceives him as a seemingly brash and confident figure, his true nature belies this image. He possesses a high level of intelligence that's obscured by his assumed persona, and he carries within him a tragic narrative shaped by centuries of both physical and psychological abuse inflicted upon him by his own family. This history of mistreatment has left him as a poignant and misguided individual, fractured by the weight of his past.The charismatic and somewhat dismissive demeanor he displays serves to uphold his family's outward reputation and to meet the expectations of his overbearing father. This charade is rooted in his desire to prevent the horrifying fate that awaits him should he falter in executing his father's ambitions. While charismatic, somewhat rude, and laid-back, he has a very "done with everything" attitude, and is clearly depressed and unmotivated. Deep within, he harbors a longing for genuine affection, a sentiment he carefully guards due to its taboo nature in the Hellish society.
When not at parties or gatherings, Seviathan tends to keep to himself in his palaces and maintain his exotic fish collection, listen to audiobooks and watch bad Hell Idol auditions on Voxtube.
Mostly as a result of his public persona, Seviathan is quite a ladies' man, having dated numerous female royals and supermodels in order to keep up appearances (which has gotten him into many controversies and scandals), though most of these relationships were very shallow and without love. He is considered to be very attractive among Hell's society, with Charlie, Verosika, Angel Dust, and Asmodeus commenting on his good looks.
He was deeply insecure over himself and incredibly desperate to win his father's good graces, showing extreme anxiety at the thought of being discarded like his thousands of siblings. He has the tendency to deflect or react irritably if others attempt to reach out to him or express sympathy towards him, as shown by him threatening Fergus and Charlie on the occasions they attempted to convince him on leaving the Envy Ring to escape his family.
Before his encounter with Charlie, Seviathan indeed bore the marks of ignorance, shallowness, arrogance, and conceit, attributes woven into his character by the toxic influence of his family. Raised within a framework that devalued virtues and upheld a dogma of dominance, he was ingrained with the belief that his family's supremacy should invariably prevail, even at the cost of eradicating any obstacle obstructing their ascent to power over Hell. It became clear that Seviathan's motivations for seeking Charlie's hand were less because of his belief that his family should hold power over all the seven rings, and more because he was deeply afraid of what Leviathan would do if he failed to follow through with his father's demands. After a number of feeble attempts at proposing to Charlie, Seviathan began to crack under the enormous pressure that Leviathan was putting on him. He was uncertain of his ability to fulfil his life's mission and was terrified that he would suffer the same fate as his thousands of siblings for his failure; the stress took a heavy toll on Seviathan's mental health, leading him to become desperate, toxic, abusive, and reckless as he began to vent his stress and anger onto others, and eventually Charlie herself, which resulted in the princess ending their relationship. However, Seviathan later claimed that he intentionally drove Charlie away from him to protect her and out of fear that if she became too attached to him, she would marry him and thus inadvertently give Leviathan exactly what he wanted.
Fueled by the encouragement of Charlie and the camaraderie he found within the Hazbin Hotel's ranks, Seviathan's internal struggle culminated in a pivotal transformation. The facade he had worn for so long became untenable, prompting a profound shift. With unwavering support from Charlie and the hotel's members, he gradually shed his disingenuous persona. Despite his snide, cynical, and snarky attitude, Seviathan does occasionally display a genuinely friendly side towards other like-minded demons. Although he passionately hates most of Hell's snotty royals, he enjoys the company of Octavia and his roommate at Hell School, Cal, and they seem to be his only genuine friends, along with Charlie, and he developed an affective legam with the sea life of Envy, at the point that they helped him in defeating Leviathan once they recognize Seviathan as their only true ruler.
Appearance[]
Seviathan's default form is that of a young demon with dark, bluish gray, scaly skin, and dark green hair with a greenish-white streak. His eyes are a dull red color, and he has bright green irises with slit pupils. Whenever he uses his ability to communicate with and manipulate sea life, his irises fill with concentric circles of yellow. His mouth is filled with bright green-colored sharp teeth. Much like the rest of his family, he has several hidden bright green eyes and mouths all across his body (the eyes most prominently seen on his hat), all of which open whenever he is emotional.
His primary attire consists of a green coat with bright green trimmings, green pinstriped pants, and a green hat that is covered with eyes and has a brim trimmed with teeth. His suit is accompanied by a bright green ascot and undershirt, as well as dark green, fingerless gloves.
Seviathan's casual clothing consists of a light blue, floral print shirt and slacks. He sleeps in a dark green, sleeveless shirt, light blue boxer shorts, and white socks.
In his aquatic form which he uses to travel underwater, Seviathan gains fins on the side of his head which resemble ears, a long, dark green tail with light green caudal fins, syndactyly hands, and organic flippers.

As the son of one of Hell's most powerful and infamous figures, Seviathan possesses an abnormal amount of demonic power that places him far above sinners in terms of power, although below the higher-tier demons, such as the strongest Overlords or his father.

- Amphibiousness: Seviathan is able to metabolize oxygen from water, allowing him to travel and reside underwater for an indefinite amount of time without needing to surface for air, although he is certainly more than capable of breathing on land.
- Aquatic Adaptation: Seviathan, when in his aquatic form, can quickly adapt to all underwater pressures and temperatures, allowing him to survive in the coldest, deepest, and darkest depths of the ocean deep.
- Enhanced Swimming: In his aquatic form, Seviathan is capable of swimming at great speeds far beyond what a human even in their peak could be capable of, and possesses greater maneuverability thanks to his tail.
- Demonic Transformation: Seviathan, like the rest of his family, is capable of shifting into a more aquatic form when needing to swim underwater, and effortlessly shift back into his default form once out of water or on a surface. Seviathan also has the ability to transform into his Full Demon Form when sufficiently enraged, as well as easily shift back to his normal form.
- Immortality: As a Hellborn demon, Seviathan possesses a potentially endless lifespan, having lived for 2,000+ years. Although, like Charlie, he has yet to stop aging as he is still considered young by demon standards.
- Nigh-Invulnerability: Seviathan is resilient and impervious to most forms of harm or injury. Only angelic weaponry or immensely powerful primordial entities can erase him for good.
- Regeneration: Seviathan possesses the ability to almost instantly regenerate to any kind of injury, excluding damage caused by holy weaponry or divine power.

- Marine Telepathy: Seviathan has a powerful telepathic connection with Hell's sea life allowing him to summon and control millions, if not billions of oceanic creatures all at once. He can influence and control demonic sea creatures into intricate formations and is capable of understanding their feelings and communicating with them, potentially creating and strengthening friendships. There seems to be no limit to the amount of sea life Seviathan can command and summon, nor does there appear to be a limit to the range of his telepathy, as demonstrated when Seviathan summoned millions of sea creatures across Envy to attack and slowly overwhelm his father, Leviathan. Whenever Seviathan uses this ability, his irises fill with concentric, yellow circles. This is assumed to be Seviathan's most powerful ability.

- Charisma: Seviathan's royal standing, striking appearance, and chillaxed demeanor harmoniously blend to create an aura of undeniable charisma and charm. His presence is magnetic, capturing attention effortlessly. This charismatic quality is not merely superficial; it extends to the depth of his interpersonal relationships. He was able to remain friends with Octavia since she was a toddler because he isn't just an annoying, sniveling dweeb, and Charlie continued to love Seviathan even after they broke up.
- Ocular Illumination: Seviathan's eyes glow a bright red color when in dark settings, which allows him to see in the darker environment of the ocean deep, as his eyes reflect all available light, giving them a distinct sheen in darkness. His fear of his father began when Leviathan showed Seviathan the corpses of his slaughtered siblings as a psychological tactic to show the prince the fate of those who disappointed him. Because of this, Seviathan never protested against his father and went along with his scheme to kill the Magne family and take over Hell. However, Seviathan eventually overcame this fear, gaining the courage to attack and rebel against Leviathan, thus proving that he was always stronger than his father.

Leviathan Von Eldritch[]
Leviathan was Seviathan's father and archenemy. Leviathan and Seviathan shared a close father-son relationship, although Leviathan was very cold, stoic, and commanding towards his son. He groomed Seviathan throughout the prince's entire childhood so he could eventually become the Prince of Hell, giving Seviathan limited free will, depriving him of love, and setting borderline unrealistic expectations for him to follow. From the moment he was born, Seviathan was deemed of little worth by his father, who only restrained himself from killing the infant prince due to seeing potential in using his son as a pawn. Growing up, Seviathan was put down or talked down to by Leviathan, and was forbidden from forming friendships without pragmatic reasons or venturing beyond their castle in Hell-antis unless it was to maintain their family's public image. Seviathan was one of the very few people that Leviathan revealed his murder of his own children towards, showing his son the corpses of his brothers and sisters at a young age to remind his son of the fate he would receive should he fail to please his father and complete the mission and purpose for which he was born.
Growing up under his father's wing, Seviathan learned most of what he knew from Leviathan, who was more of an apathetic, toxic mentor than a father. He held both great respect and fear of his father, always trying to impress him, but at times too afraid to even speak to him out of fear of saying anything that would upset the King of Envy. Even when on his own, Seviathan was careful to not do anything that would tarnish his family's image, such as associating with the lower class. When Leviathan congratulated Seviathan when he used his inherited telepathic abilities to command numerous fish into formations, the prince was moved to tears by his father's praise. However, while Seviathan desperately sought his father's attention and approval, he seemed to be disappointed when he succeeded in getting it; One of the only times Leviathan had expressed pridefulness with his son was the occasion where he forced Seviathan to kill an injured pup that the prince attempted to nurse back to health in secret. Throughout his upbringing, Leviathan would frequently abuse and outright torture Seviathan, both verbally and physically, at one point locking the prince in a water chamber filled with starving piranhas for a full day. Although Seviathan developed a deep fear of his father as a result, he convinced himself that the mistreatment would stop if he eventually regained his father's respect. Leviathan remarked Seviathan as the Von Eldritch family's greatest disappointment when he attempted to convince his father to peacefully settle his grudge against Lucifer. While Seviathan is very boastful around other demons, he is far more restrained and outright timid while speaking to his father, like a dog bound to obey his master at the drop of a hat.
During an arranged marriage between Charlie and Seviathan, when Seviathan finally refused to marry the princess after his father asked if he takes the princess of Hell as his wife and fearlessly admitted to his father that he doesn't want to marry her, this enraged the King of Envy and attempted to strangle the Prince of Envy while cursing him for costing him Lucifer's throne for the last time, although Charlie saved Seviathan in time. During the Happy Hotel crew's and I.M.P's battle against Leviathan, when the united team were too injured and exhausted and Leviathan attempting to blast an lighting attack to end all of them, Seviathan stroke a bolt of green energy to save the united team, all while furiously and hatefully glaring at his father as Leviathan turns around, showing that any fear and terror he had of his father has been nullified. Seviathan stood tall, while seemingly accepting his death with Leviathan's final words to his son being that with bitter hate and disappointment, while calling himself a "fool" and giving Seviathan homophobic slurs for believing the prince could accomplish marrying Charlie, before attempting to correct his "mistake" by trying to finish his spawn once and for all, though Charlie saved Seviathan again from such gruesome fate. When Charlie was defeated at the hands of Leviathan, Seviathan telepathically communicated with sea creatures of Envy, calling them out for help, which within mere seconds, millions of sea creatures of Envy came to the rescue and began attacking and overwhelming the sea serpent, much to Leviathan's rage as they refused to obey them and view Seviathan their true king, which gave Millie and Niffty the opportunity to slay Leviathan once and for all.
It is heavily implied that Seviathan is desperate for any kind of parental love. He was obviously deprived of love and abused by his parents and hated them, and whenever he finds an older male figure who cares for him, he often gets very attached to them and seeks their praise, as shown with Fergus and Behemoth.
After Leviathan's death, Seviathan expressed utter happiness for his father's death, his new-found freedom, and gratefulness to the sea creatures of Envy for their loyalty and times when they comforted them during his hard times throughout his childhood and deciding to rebuild his family's name and assess all damages caused by his father.
Bethesda Von Eldritch[]

Bethesda: You shouldn't complain. You'll be the prince of Hell, and your father shall ascend to his place as king. Is that not what you always wanted?
Seviathan: You mean what you and dad always wanted.
Bethesda: (firmly) We never got to choose." - — A conversation Seviathan shared with Bethesda before he had met Charlie.
Bethesda is Seviathan's mother and the Queen of the Envy Ring. Due to mainly being raised by his father, Seviathan has a restricted and, ultimately, loveless relationship with his mother. Much like Leviathan, Bethesda possesses no respect for Seviathan's autonomy or personal choices and is constantly overriding them for the sake of their family's image or power, including his consent when it comes to his romantic relationships. Bethesda is also somewhat intimidating towards Seviathan, her mood turning on a dime from tender and motherly to stern and stringent. During a conversation with Charlie, Seviathan confessed to the princess that he feels like he does not even know his mother as a person.
Following Leviathan's demise, Bethesda, enraged as her and Leviathan's plot to usurp Lucifer and Lilith's throne had been dashed, disowned Seviathan as her son and prevented him from taking his rightful place as King of Envy. Despite this, Seviathan was barely affected by essentially being excommunicated from his family, since he outright hated his mother and sister. When Octavia expressed her concern for Seviathan over his mother would likely seek vengeance against him for betraying his family, Seviathan assured her he could handle anything his mother would throw at him.
Hellsa Von Eldritch[]

Hellsa is Seviathan's younger, twin ex-sister. Despite being siblings, Seviathan and Hellsa, for the longest time, had a vitriolic relationship with each other. During their respective childhoods, they shared a fierce sibling rivalry and would constantly joust for the approval of their parents, though their parents would always remain apathetic and distant, rendering most of these squabbles moot. Hellsa, due to her spiteful nature, would go out of her way to destroy the things that brought her brother happiness, ranging from pettily destroying a sandcastle the Prince of Envy had created, to informing her father of a pup Seviathan was secretly caring for, knowing the pup would likely be killed by their father. Their tentative relationship only grew worse after the prince began dating Charlie, Hellsa's biggest rival, and her brother partially costed her the status of Hell School prom queen.
In the present, Seviathan and Hellsa seldom find themselves in the other's presence, mostly spending time away from each other, with it being clear that Seviathan's relationship with Charlie damaged their relationship more than it already was. Hellsa continually questioned her brother's competence on earning Charlie's hand, and does appear to revel in Seviathan's misery and pain, expressing visible pleasure in watching the prince get punished for his missteps. Seviathan himself is shown to indulge in mocking Hellsa, sometimes refusing to even acknowledge Hellsa as his sister, and calling her an "attention whore" or a "spiteful bitch". Overall, Seviathan and Hellsa basically hate each other, and often focus on their own lives and hobbies. In general, they do not care about each other at all, treating themselves as mere acquaintances at best or rivals at worst, rather than brother and sister.
During an argument with Hellsa, Seviathan confessed that he hated Hellsa so much that he wished death upon her, and believed that she and their parents deserved to die for how cruelly they treated him.
However, Seviathan and Hellsa were able to eventually make peace with each other once the truth about their family history was unveiled to Hellsa. Upon Hellsa discovering that fates of Leviathan and Bethesda's past children, Seviathan apologized to Hellsa for being too afraid and angry to tell her the truth, and acknowledged that she was just as much a victims as he was. For his genuine remorse for how he treated her, Hellsa stopped Bethesda from killing Seviathan and fought her mother alongside him. Following this, Hellsa apologized for everything she did with Seviathan.
Despite burying the hatchet, Hellsa and Seviathan agreed to see each other as friends at best and ditch the "brother and sister thing", since that was unsalvageable.

Cal[]
Cal was Seviathan's roommate in Hell School, and a fellow royal. Cal was, along with Charlie, the Prince of Envy's only true friend growing up. Although Seviathan had his own inner circle, they were mostly comprised of royals with whom he had little consideration for, excluding Cal, who taught the Prince of Envy how to let loose and have fun. At one point, Seviathan showed Cal his favorite spot in the Envy Ring, a deep ocean trench far away from Hell-antis that contained bioluminescent waves and sea creatures. There, they continued to bond, and the prince eventually warmed up to Cal's playfulness and rambunctious nature, even nervously asking Cal if he could stay a little longer when Cal had to leave early, before blushing with embarrassment and telling Cal he could leave. Seviathan, even in the present, still holds his memories of Cal close to him, reminiscing on their time together while ocean-gazing.
It is heavily implied that Seviathan had romantic feelings for Cal, as he began nervously stammering and blushing when Cal playfully pinned him against a wall and rough-housed with him in his bed, and when he asked Cal to stay with him longer when they visited Seviathan's favorite place in the Envy Ring. It is possible that Seviathan was secretly in love with Cal until they both graduated from Hell School and returned to their kingdoms, with Cal seemingly unaware of Seviathan's feelings for him.
Charlie Magne[]
Charlie is Seviathan's ex-girlfriend. Seviathan and Charlie were once close childhood friends and thus have spent most of their lives together. Charlie was the only positive influence in Seviathan's life, and the one who showed and taught him compassion and love. As such, she was the only demon in the prince's life who made feel safe and comfortable. The two started officially dating during their years at Hell School, and they attended prom as the king and queen. As Seviathan grew increasingly toxic and controlling of her as he began to break under the pressure his father had put on him, Charlie broke up.
In reality, Charlie was devastated and driven to tears over having to end their long friendship, believing that he had changed. In the present, it is implied that Charlie and Seviathan seldom see each other because of their falling out, although Charlie clearly still cares about him, as she requested that Fergus does not kill him, since Seviathan was still a close friend to her during her youth regardless of their falling out.
Octavia[]
Seviathan is surprisingly very good friends with Goetia heiress, Octavia. He used to babysit her with Charlie, so they have known each other for most of Octavia's life and are still very good friends to the present day.
He also regularly goes to watch horror movies at the cinema with her, as shown on his Sinstagram account. She is one of Hell's few young royals who he gets along with well and enjoys being in the company of. They both bond over their dry senses of humor and morbid tastes, as well as pointing out the hypocrisy of Hell's noble gatherings.
While they are friends, Octavia is still not afraid to call out the prince for some of his snotty behavior.
Vaggie[]
Seviathan and Vaggie initially had a hostile relationship with each other. Vaggie was very mistrusting of the Prince of Envy and hated him and his family, expressing scorn towards him for being seemingly willing to force Charlie into an arranged marriage when she did not want to marry him, although she was unaware that he did not want to marry Charlie either and only saw her as a friend. When the two met each other at Hell-antis, Seviathan enjoyed mocking Vaggie for her low-class status and temperament and appeared to be genuinely spiteful towards her for her lack of respect.
During Charlie and Vaggie's dinner with the Von Eldritch family, Seviathan and his father insidiously attempted to convince Charlie to get back with him by reminding the princess of her time with the Prince of Envy and how he could afford to buy Charlie extravagant gifts and take her to luxurious places, something which Vaggie is unable to do, which upset Vaggie greatly. Although, considering Leviathan was the one who initiated the conversation, it is likely that the prince only went along with it as to not upset his father. After the dinner, Seviathan and Vaggie got into a heated argument where she told the prince that Charlie never wanted to marry him, although the prince admitted that he did not blame Charlie for leaving him. Later, Vaggie threatened Seviathan with her demonic spear when he came to the Hazbin Hotel, to which Seviathan mockingly responded that she should not threaten people more powerful than herself.
When Seviathan refused to marry Charlie during the Green Wedding, Vaggie was astonished by the prince's decision as she believed that he was just as guilty as his father in forcing Charlie in such a situation. This opened her eyes to the side of Seviathan not many others are aware of. After Leviathan's defeat and death, Vaggie warmly praised Seviathan for standing up to his father.

Seviathan: I've wanted to explore the ocean beyond what I've seen for centuries. I've been traveling here since I was a kid. Whenever my family was being a pain in the ass, I'd just go here. It just... Makes me think that what I'm going through can't be the end of the world (he motions to the waves) when all this is going on.
Cal: So, it's like your safe space?
Seviathan: (flatly) Yeah.
Cal: I think I know what you mean. It's like the trench is saying (deep voice) 'Hey there, Sev. You do your thing. I'm just gonna exist here and be incredibly sexy'. (he laughs)
Seviathan: (he hides a laugh, shaking his head) You are unique, Cal.
Cal: How so?
Seviathan: You're not like the other royals who always have their heads up their asses. You're... Fun?
Cal: Yeah. I don't really do the 'galas' and 'caviar' thing. Not my style.
Seviathan: Huh... I envy you.

Seviathan: Wait! (Cal stops swimming away and looks at Seviathan) Do you want to... (he blushes) Stay a little longer...? If- If you want to. (after an awkward pause, he looks down and shakes his head)
Cal: (he contemplates before shrugging) Sure, wh-
Seviathan: Actually, it's- it's fine. Just... Go.
Cal: O- Okay... See ya tomorrow. (he swims off, leaving Seviathan to sulk over the trench's edge)" - — A flashback of Cal and Seviathan at the prince's favorite spot in Envy.
- "Charlie: Sev, I don't want to go over there. What if Hellsa and your awful father is there?
Seviathan: (growls) That's my father you're talking about! You'll do well to respect his name!
Charlie: He treats you like shit, Sev!
Seviathan: Shut up! You don't know shit about my father!
Charlie: We're not going over the same things all the time! I can't keep doing this anymore!

Charlie: That's the problem right there; you're always telling me what to do! It wasn't always like this! If you won't stop listening to your father, I'm gone! (she starts walking out the door)
Seviathan: Wait! Dammit! (he grabs her by the arm, stopping her) You can't do this to me! Don't you understand?! I HAVE to marry you!
Charlie: You don't have to do SHIT! (Charlie goes into her Full Demon Form, creating an aura of flames which sends Seviathan flying into a wall; after realizing what she did, she turns back to normal) Oh... Oh, my Satan... Sev! (she reaches for him) You okay?! I'm so-
Seviathan: (he smacks her hand away) FUCK OFF, CHARLIE! (he slowly goes into his Full Demon Form, seething as he places his hand on a cut on his head) Get the hell out of here.
Charlie: I didn't mean to-
Seviathan: LEAVE!
Charlie: (she goes to the door as tears stream down her eyes) I didn't want it to end like this... You changed... (she exits the room, covering her face)
Seviathan: (after several seconds he falls to his knees with a look of sadness and utter fear) Shit... What the fuck did I just do..." - — Seviathan and Charlie in a flashback, depicting their separation.
- "Fergus: I think you have a serious case of daddy issues.
Seviathan: Let me guess, Charlie told you?
Fergus: (chuckles) You're really shut off from Hell, aren't you? Everyone knows it. The way you squirm when he stares at you in a public setting, those claw marks that appear on your face every so often. Everyone knows the Leviathan is a mean son of a bitch. Especially to his children.
Seviathan: (his expression darkens) You are treading on thin fucking ice. You think just because you gawk at me in public, that means you know my entire life story?
Fergus: Well, when you hang around Charlie for the better part of a year, you learn to read people.
Seviathan: What within Hell are you trying to pull?
Fergus: I just want to level with you. I know what it's like to be controlled by someone. To go against everything you stood and fought for. It's fucked up. I just... I don't want that to happen to anyone else. It destroys every part of you.
Seviathan: I don't need your fucking sympathy...
Fergus: Your father's turning you into something you're not.
Seviathan: I... Why are you doing this? I thought you didn't care.
Fergus: I never said that.
Seviathan: The last time I stood up to my father, he beat the shit out of me with fucking tentacles. Got any ideas now? The punishment for insubordination in my family is... Not pleasant.
Fergus: Don't you worry. We can get you out of this. (he point to Angel Dust) You see my friend over there? We got him away from some big, purple bastard. We can help you get away too.
Seviathan: No, you can't... You'll have all the forces of Envy upon you in seconds.
Fergus: Well, that's why we're fortunate enough to have the Princess of Hell on our side. I know this is a lot to dump on you. Just think about it, eh?" - — Seviathan and Fergus' conversation.

Seviathan: 'Happy'...? (scoffs sadly) You know that isn't how this works. Not with him." - — Charlie and Seviathan.

- "Offscreen Royal Demon: FUCK YOU, DAD-KILLER!
Seviathan: (does finger-guns to the demon) A-thank you!" - — Seviathan arriving to Hell's royal gathering,
- "Stolas: Oh! Prince Seviathan! Such an honor to see you once more! (he bows) Or should I say King Seviathan?
Seviathan: (laugh lightly) Well, if it isn't the Great Horny Owl! And, eh... Not yet. Mother's... Not making it easy.
Stolas: Oh... Well, it's still a pleasure to see you out and about in lieu of recent events! How is your sister doing?
Seviathan: About the same.
Stolas: ...A spoiled, vindictive sea bitch?
Seviathan: Eeyup.
Stolas: Well, some things never do change. (as Seviathan attempts to walk away, Stolas puts his hand on his shoulder) Seviathan... I know this has been a tumultuous time for you. But I'm very proud of the man you've become.
Seviathan: (chuckles) You sure about that?
Stolas: (laughs) Of course! I've watched you grow. You and Charlie used to care for my little Via. You two would stargaze with her on our palace roof, reading stories until she fell asleep in your laps. And despite everything your father put you through, you've remained kind.
Seviathan: I'm... I'm not as 'kind' as you think I am. If it wasn't for Charlie, I would have become a monster, no different from Father, Mother, or Hellsa. If you're gonna laud someone, praise her" - — Stolas and Seviathan at the gathering of Hell's nobles.
- "Octavia: S- Sev...? (she runs over to him) Sev!
Seviathan: (he sees her and laughs lightly) Star! (she hugs him tightly and begins sobbing) Woah! Are you... (he reciprocates her hug) Star...
Hellsa: (walking by) Sev, look out! You have a depressed trapdoor spider on you. (snickers)
Seviathan: (to Hellsa) Hellsa, I saw some horny princes who need a little reach-around! Go find them!
Hellsa: Orphan!
Seviathan: Daddy's Whore! (to Octavia) What's wrong...?
Octavia: Oh- (she lets go of him and wipes her tears away) I'm so sorry. It's just... I heard what happened in Envy and I... (sniffles) I thought I lost you.
Seviathan: You don't need to... (sighs) ...I'm happy you're safe, too." - — Seviathan and Octavia reunite.

Seviathan: Well, that's the thing. In my experience, every well-to-do demon is just a snobbish, little socialite. They want everyone to see how perfect the ruling class is, when in reality, we're all a bunch of pathetic assholes.
Octavia: Exactly! You get it. I hate having to pretend that everything is so perfect when it’s really not. It just pisses me off" - — Seviathan and Octavia

Behemoth: (Behemoth's eyes widen) You mean you're... Oh, Sev... That's... Dope! (Behemoth laughs and pats Seviathan on the back, causing Seviathan to fall forward into the rail) Fuck yeah! Good for you, dude! I'm... Proud of you! Don't worry, I can hook you up with plenty of dudes!

Bethesda: (chuckles and summons a tentacle that strangles Seviathan) Yes. Yes, you are." - — Seviathan reveal the truth to Hellsa and apologies to her.
- "Sometimes I wonder what they would have been like if they were allowed to live. I know life is life: some people live, some people die, having the throne is dope, and having a thousand siblings would be an utter nightmare, but... It crosses my mind now and then."

- Seviathan's name is a portmanteau of the name Sebastian, and to his father's name, only with an "S" replacing the "L".
- Leviathan gave Seviathan a name very similar to his own as he desired to raise his son into essentially a carbon copy of himself.
- Bethesda wanted Seviathan's name to be "Harold".
- His theme songs would be "Beyond the Sea" by Bobby Darin, "House of Pain" by Faster Pussycat, or "I'm Still Standing" by Elton John.
- The series' authors do not consider Seviathan or Hellsa to be truly evil. Rather, they are merely victims of Leviathan and Bethesda's influence, both of whom are considered by the authors to be the roots of evil in the Von Eldritch family.
