Snapper is a recurring character in Hazbin Hotel: Journey to the Light.
They are a monster that was created from Baxter and Niffty's spliced DNA, and serves as their mutual pet. Shortly after their creation in the hotel's basement, Snapper went on a rampage throughout the hotel at a time where Katie Killjoy and Tom Trench were doing a surprise report on the establishment, forcing many members of the crew to keep the monster in the basement. Baxter, Sir Pentious and Niffty were able to tame the horrifying monster, with the hotel crew even keeping them as a pet at Niffty's behest.

During its embryonic stage, Snapper exhibited signs of affection towards Niffty, who would excitedly sit by its tank, sharing stories and songs, essentially taking on the role of a mother in Snapper's eyes. Niffty joyfully embraced this designation. Impressively, even in its early embryo stage, Snapper displayed a level of intelligence. It expressed displeasure when Baxter reprimanded Niffty right in front of its tank for treating Snapper as an equal or offspring, since Snapper was little more than a "pet project" to him.
Upon Snapper's birth, it immediately displayed aggression, even going so far as to attack Baxter, its creator, as vengeance for him denying it any equality. Much like how Snapper seemed to have inherited Baxter's superintelligence, Baxter attributed Snapper's aggression to it inheriting Niffty's lethal and murder-happy nature. Furthermore, Snapper exhibited remarkable intelligence for a creature of its kind, an attribute inherited from Baxter, which filled the anglerfish with a confused, twisted sense of pride, and eventually led to Baxter respecting Snapper as an equal rather than a monster. Snapper's rampage through the hotel posed a significant threat to its improving reputation until Niffty managed to calm the beast by singing a special song, just as she did during its embryonic stage.
Just like Baxter, Snapper harbors a sensitivity regarding its intelligence, reacting with anger when underestimated. However, the key distinction lies in Snapper's formidable strength and power, which far surpasses Baxter's comparatively feeble capabilities. Consequently, Snapper has the potential to unleash havoc should it feel slighted or disrespected.
Following Niffty's calming influence, it appears that Snapper's more amiable disposition has gained the upper hand. Now, Snapper serves as a valuable ally to the other characters. This newfound friendliness is evident when it eagerly assists Niffty in her culinary endeavors, using its atomic breath to help her in a playful manner. In a heartwarming moment, Snapper even sported a childlike grin when Niffty kissed on its nose. Furthermore, it engaged in playful interactions with Manco, Megara, Simon, and Arthur, who regarded Snapper as nothing short of an oversized, endearing dog-like companion.

Snapper is a large monster, bearing a resemblance to a kaiju, with a body reminiscent of a caterpillar. Its head takes on the appearance of an anglerfish, featuring two pairs of eyes, one side fiery red, the other a vibrant blue, along with menacingly sharp teeth and spiky fins in place of conventional ears. A menacing array of spikes adorns the length of Snapper's spines. Its underbelly boasts a series of arthropod-like legs. This unique amalgamation of features is a result of Snapper's creation through the splicing of Baxter and Niffty's DNA, incorporating the anglerfish-like aspects from Baxter and the insect-like traits from Niffty.

- Atomic Breath: Snapper wields the ability to unleash immensely potent blue energy blasts from its gaping maw. These blasts pack such destructive force that they came perilously close to leveling the entire Hazbin Hotel. Snapper can also control the power of its atomic breath, as it used this power to heat up Niffty's dishes without causing any environmental damage.
- Compressibility: Much like Niffty, Snapper possesses the extraordinary ability to compress its entire body, enabling it to endure the most intense crushing forces and effortlessly slither out from beneath or through tight spaces that would ordinarily be physically impossible for a creature of its size to navigate.
- Electrokinesis: Snapper possesses an electric aura and coursing currents of electricity within its veins, capable of causing light to flicker in its anger. Moreover, its atomic breath is accompanied by a buzzing, electrifying energy, adding an extra layer of menace to its already formidable abilities.

Niffty is one-half of the component used to birth Snapper. Their relationship evolved from a maternal bond during its embryonic stage, where she read Snapper stories and sang it bedtime songs, to a calming influence that mitigated its aggression after birth. Despite Snapper's inherited intelligence and lethal tendencies, Niffty's nurturing led to Snapper becoming a valuable and friendly ally, assisting her and interacting playfully with others.
Niffty is the only person in the hotel capable of reigning Snapper in, and as shown in the War in Hell, she often rides it into battle.

Snapper has a barely cordial relationship with Baxter, though the two are capable of respecting each other as geniuses. Initially, Baxter saw Snapper as merely a "pet project" and even went as far as to reprimanded Niffty for treating it as an equal. Upon birth, Snapper displayed aggression towards Baxter, attacking him in vengeance for denying it equality.
Despite the aggression, Snapper's intelligence, inherited from Baxter, led Baxter to respect Snapper as an equal rather than a monster. This respect was tinged with a twisted sense of pride in Snapper's remarkable intelligence and formidable strength.
Baxter and Snapper often create things in Baxter's lab together, with Snapper correcting some errors that Baxter would typically elect to overlook.
