- "Of course you can trust me! I'm STELLAR! My reputation speaks for itself: People love me, everybody wants to be me, my fangirls cut themselves in hopes of hastening the release of my upcoming albums! You... Are just Charlie. The secluded, spoiled Princess of Hell. Your parents hate you, your 'beloved' subjects think you're a joke, and anyone who holds out hope for you is either doped out and in serious fucking need of a reality check, or a filthy simp who needs to lay off the carpet. Ew, ew, ew! HOWEVER... I've seen your hilarious interview, and that (Stellar pulls Charlie face-to-face) FUCKING voice, those pipes of yours are truly somethin' special! (conjures a soul contract) This contract is your ticket to stardom, and I will help make you SHINE!"
- — Stellar attempting to manipulate Charlie into signing his contract.
Lord Stellar of Pride is a recurring antagonist in Hazbin Hotel: Journey to the Light.
He serves as a one-shot antagonist in Chapter 1, the secondary antagonist of Chapter 2, and a one-shot character in Chapter 5.
He was a controversial, larger-than-life, fastidious, power hungry Overlord, musician, and singer. The dictator of Hell's music industry, he was the owner of Stellar Records, with his empire holding the rights and licenses to nearly all music produced in Hell during his reign as an Overlord. In life, he was a failed musician who died from a drug overdose and sought to gain more fame than he ever achieved on Earth, mistreating everyone around him and tooting his own horn all along the way. He was also one of three Overlords (alongside Sock and Buskin) to be in Lilith's inner circle.
Stellar was regarded even within the inner circle of Overlords as one of Hell's most dangerous warlords, due to his lust for power, irredeemable narcissism, unhinged behavior and utterly insane plans that involve conquering all of Hell.

Chapter 1
In "A Day in the Afterlife", Stellar dramatically pulls up to a cafe in his limousine, tended to by his underlings as he approached Alastor, knowing that the Radio Demon frequents this particular shop. Stellar loudly introduces himself as he sits at Alastor's table, even pulling the Radio Demon's newspaper down so that he could focus on him. Stellar orders a latte before embellishing to Alastor about his status as the Pride Ring's top music producer who intends to expand his music across all mediums. After failing to bond with the Radio Demon over their hatred of Vox, Stellar has his employees bring out a contract which they present to Alastor, with Stellar proposing that his music will essentially take over his radio airwaves, with the Radio Demon only being given 20 minutes per day to do his broadcasts, while the rest will simply be Stellar's music. Stellar disrespects the medium of radio, but is insistent on his tracks being omnipresent and refusing to leave well enough alone. Despite Stellar disturbing him, Alastor calmly rejects his offer, which the Music Overlord scoffs at, before insisting that he sign the contract and makes it clear that he was not asking. Viewing Stellar's proposition as a threat to his status as an Overlord, Alastor summoned demonic tentacles to grab the Music Overlord, violently flinging him across the street. Alastor, preparing himself, cheerfully advised the nearby staff at the café to either leave or stay and watch "the show", just as Stellar uses his musical telekinesis to send a truck barreling towards his way.
Alastor evades all of Stellar's attempts to crush him with vehicles, so the Music Overlord summons his magic piano and begins playing, using magical telekinesis to create golems made of vehicles and parts from buildings. Alastor summons more tentacles to dispatch the golems before targeting Stellar, but he gracefully dodges all of the Radio Demon's attacks using his speed and flying abilities. After destroying all of Stellar's golems, the Radio Demon tapped his cane on the ground, summoning hundreds of his minions and tasking them with destroying the Music Overlord's instruments. Stellar was able to evade Alastor's minions for a while before breaking out his magical flute and placing the Radio Demon's underlings in a trance, forcing them to attack their leader. Before his own minions could him, Alastor tapped his cane on the ground again which produces an omnidirectional, magical shockwave that transformed his creations into abominations, bringing them back under his control and siccing them back on Stellar. The Music Overlord attempted to use his magic flute to hypnotize them, but finds that Alastor had somehow transformed it into a demonic snake, causing him to freak out. As the empowered abominations rush at Stellar, the Overlord screamed in their direction at such an intensity that the shockwave vaporized them.
Stellar taunted Alastor that he did not need his instruments as long as he could sing, and as long as he could sing, the Radio Demon would never defeat him. The Music Overlord and the Radio Demon then engaged in a battle of sheer power, with Alastor summoning shadow tentacles and Stellar projecting his ergokinetic musical notes. As their battle devastates their surroundings, Alastor casts a stream of dark magic at his opponent, who blocks the attack with a conjured sheet of music which he then uses to absorb Alastor's power, trapping his magic in a powerful energy ball which eventually explodes, knocking both Overlords back and wiping out almost the entire City block.
In the wake of the attack, Alastor feigns being injured and lied on the ground as Stellar laughs victoriously and stood over the seemingly defeated Radio Demon, holding up the contract from earlier and giving him the chance to accept his offer, or be obliterated. While Stellar was in the middle of gloating over his "victory", Alastor catches him off-guard and suddenly lunged up, grabbing him by the beak, and used his claws and sheer strength to graphically tear Stellar's jaws and tongue out, leaving him in extreme pain and terror and unable to sing. With Stellar crippled, Alastor summoned a demonic tentacle behind the terrified Music Overlord that impaled him through the chest and wrapped itself around his body. Alastor then grabbed Stellar's head and tore it out, before forcing the still-alive Overlord to watch as the Radio Demon's minions barbarically devoured his headless body. He then turned Stellar's head to face himself, eating his tongue before applauding the Music Overlord for his effort and bidding him farewell, before devouring the Music Overlord's face as he incoherently screamed for mercy. After rending the flesh from Stellar's head, Alastor then turned to the terrified onlookers, cheerfully proclaiming "That's all, folks!" before walking off into the night with his minions, humming happily.
In the wake of the chaos, a barista walks out of the café with Stellar's order, just before the Music Overlord's flayed skull falls to their feet. Stellar, still undead, weakly and almost incoherently said that he would take the drink to go, causing the barista to scream.
Chapter 2
In "Aftermath", Stellar attends an event with the other Overlords of Hell called "Challenge Day", where any higher demon is able to be challenged for the souls of others. Stellar steals the spotlight with an ostentatious display; His entourage rolled out a carpet and showered him with attention and spotlights, grinding the entire event to a halt, much to the annoyance of some attendees. Amidst a musical performance and a grand entrance, Stellar grabbed attention by touching, shoving, and even tossing around fellow demons, ensuring all eyes remained on him while keeping the song flowing.
After the musical performance, Stellar went up to the penthouse alongside Carmilla Carmine, Sock and Buskin, and Missi Zilla. As they conversed, Stellar brought up the Vees' failed attempt to demolish the Hazbin Hotel, highlighting the opportunity created by their distraction in rebuilding their armies. However, Sock and Buskin along with Missi Zilla found humor in his ambitions and laughed, much to Stellar's anger. Buskin dismissed Stellar's aspirations as a mere fantasy, even in the face of a potential power vacuum. Incensed, Stellar launched into a narcissistic diatribe, boasting of his talents and belittling his fellow Overlords. Carmilla intervened, delivering a cutting rebuke to Stellar. With icy composure, Carmilla brutally dismantled Stellar's ego, asserting that his musical prowess was replaceable and that he was far from unique, using the power he gained to keep those with more talent than him from succeeding. Visibly shaken with a quivering lip, Stellar tries to maintain composure, bidding a terse farewell to Carmilla, deploying a red smoke pellet to cloak his exit.
Stellar leaves to the back alley and is picked up in his limo, where he hilarious breaks down crying over what Carmilla said, demanding a comically large bucket of ice cream to be waiting in his office when he gets back. Vengefully, Stellar swears to prove his superiority to Hell, the medallion on his necklace glowing.
In "The Safe Kind of High", within Stellar's domain in Pentagram City, he reigns supreme over the music industry from his opulent studio, Stellar Records, all of his denizens listening to his music on headphones as they go about their day and his songs blaring on sirens made in his image. Stellar enters his studio, where he holds sway over aspiring artists, either dismissing their brilliant ideas or meticulously shaping them until they align with his own vision. Only then are these artists allowed to sign soul contracts, leading to them toiling under Stellar's thumb for the rest of their existence, lining his pockets while finding themselves with almost nothing to show for in the end. The music Overlord cackles maniacally at the souls he claims, the power from his medallion circling him.
While holding auditions, Stellar enthusiastically enlists a sinner called Flick to his company, asking about his inspiration. However, when Flick admits to winging it and making up lyrics as he went along, Stellar's demeanor quickly darkens. He berates Flick for his approach, calling it bad songwriting and trash, even destroying Flick's script in a fit of rage. Stellar asserts his "divine" musical talent and demands only the highest standards, transforming into his Full Demon Form to emphasize his point. Flick hastily leaves as Stellar calms down, only to be interrupted by the arrival of guests, prompting Stellar to switch to a cheerful demeanor, albeit with a request for opium to keep up his hospitality.
Stellar is surprised to see several members of the Hazbin Hotel at his doorway, namely Charlie, Razzle and Dazzle, Vaggie, and Ren. He welcomes everyone to Stellar Records with grandiosity, addressing Charlie as "princess" and Vaggie with seductive Spanish charm, while dismissively referring to the rest as "riff raff". He introduces himself as Lord of this section of Pentagram City, boasting of his titles and claiming the role of the Greatest Musician in Hell. Stellar declares that they've been chosen by a higher power to be in his presence. Ren questions if he called himself God, to which Stellar responds with laughter, asserting his control over the music industry in Pride and justifying his self-proclaimed divine title. As they enter the recording studio, Stellar tells Charlie to come with him in his office while the rest are to stay put. Despite Vaggie's reluctance to leave Charlie alone with Stellar, the princess reassures Vaggie before leaving with Stellar.
Stellar and Charlie step into the elevator, where an awkward silence fills the air during the ride, Charlie darting his eyes while Stellar stands stiff as a board, leaning on his cane. Attempting to break the tension, Charlie compliments Stellar's inconsistent accent and asks what exactly it is. Stellar responds curtly, stating it's "whatever's the most fuckable," before the elevator reaches his office. Stellar treats Charlie to drinks and begins showing off all of his records and relations with other Overlords to the princess to impress her. He expresses admiration for various Overlords, including Sock and Buskin, Rosie, and Carmilla before shaming Charlie for keeping Alastor in her company. However, Stellar laments in an unhinged manner a decline in their opinion of him, attributing it to "unfair" accusations of him being a liar and narcissist. He blames modern societal trends and "zoomers" for the misunderstanding, claims not everything is about himself, and loudly asserts his dedication and capacity for benevolence, all while throttling his imp butler in anger.
Charlie awkwardly clears her throat as she approaches Stellar, expressing her purpose to retrieve the powerful diamond medallion around his neck. She explains its celestial origins as an object from the heavens, but Stellar doesn't seem to fully believe it. He claims to have had the medallion for decades and only recently decided to carry it around, dismissing it as merely his "good luck charm," citing all the positive events that have came his way since acquiring it. When Charlie requests it for an important task, Stellar proposes a deal: he'll surrender the medallion if she agrees to become his apprentice. When Charlie curiously asks what he would want with her musical talents, Stellar begins capitalizing and preying on Charlie's inner insecurities; He emphasizes how he is a beloved star, while Charlie is scorned by her subjects. He disparages what little support she gets from her friends, and highlights Lucifer's lack of support and Lilith's neglect. Despite exploiting her vulnerabilities, Stellar switches up and feverishly praises her singing voice as her only valuable quality before offering a soul contract, promising stardom in return.
Charlie is on the verge of signing the soul contract, feeling validated by the recognition of her musical abilities. However, she begins to see through Stellar's manipulation and gracefully declines the contract, insisting on obtaining the Medallion instead. Stellar reacts to the revelation that the medallion he possesses isn't merely a decorative accessory but a powerful celestial object. Looking intently at the Medallion, he chuckles ominously, recognizing the newfound potential it holds. His eyes gleam with red light as he contemplates the possibilities, envisioning how this newfound power could elevate his influence and enable him to assert control over everything. Charlie tries to calm Stellar down, but he humorously recants his previous statement about it not always being about him, declaring that, in fact, everything revolves around him. He asserts his dominance, stating that every aspect of his labels will be centered around him. He claims to be the face, voice, and essence of the music industry, emphasizing that without him, nothing can function effectively. He exploits the powers of the medallion, overwhelming even Charlie as he ensnares her in magic. However, knowing something was wrong, Vaggie, Razzle, Dazzle, and Ren fight their way to Stellar's office, where Vaggie hurls at spear at Stellar while Razzle and Dazzle drag Charlie out of harm's way. Charlie and company pull a daring and comedic escape, having to run through Stellar's massive studio while his goons give chase.
In "Stellar's Star-Studded Mid-Chapter Concert", Stellar publicly announces to the seven rings his upcoming concert, titled "Stellar's Star-Studded Concert," baiting souls in with the promise of a free event. However, behind the scenes, Stellar has a sinister plan; He plots to harness the power of the Medallion to enslave the entire population of not just the Pride Ring, but all of Hell. Using the medallion's powers, he aims to enhance his hypnotic singing ability, intending to sing until every soul in Hell becomes his enslaved fan who will no choice but to worship and praise him for all eternity.
On the night of the concert, millions of souls pour into the stadium, though most are not actually there for Stellar's concert and just want to party and get drunk at a free event. Backstage, Stellar meticulously oversees operations, ensuring the event is broadcasted to every corner of Hell with the assistance of his minions, all complicit in his scheme. With the Medallion adorning his neck, he barks orders at his staff, demanding perfection in his concert preparations and making them iron his concert outfit, hoping to look good when he becomes "Music God Emperor of Hell". Upon the arrival of his security detail, Stellar commands them to prevent Charlie and her companions from infiltrating the stadium, utilizing the Medallion's magic to bolster the team's abilities.
As anticipated, Charlie, Vaggie, Alastor, Husk, Niffty, and Mimzy crash the concert in an attempt to retrieve the medallion. However, shortly after their arrival, a yap-storm begins brewing when Mimzy strays off and indulges in the limelight, going over to where the press is and accepting interviews. While soaking in the spotlight and engaging in an overly-long, yapping musical number, she accidentally exposes Stellar's nefarious plot to the press, defying Charlie's orders to keep quiet in fear of Stellar's retaliation. In response, law enforcement officers run through the stadium, going backstage to apprehend Stellar, but the Overlord effortlessly annihilates them with the medallion's power. Mimzy shows little reaction to getting the police killed and continues babbling as normal, not even worried about the fate of her hotel companions.
Stellar makes a grand entrance as the concert begins, intending to conduct the concert normally until the final song, where he plans to execute his enslavement scheme. Amidst a spectacular musical performance, Charlie and her companions confront Stellar's enslaved security forces. Alastor, Husk, and Niffty remain behind to hold off the security while Charlie and Vaggie press forward. Alastor, Husk, and especially Niffty slaughter Stellar's forces, all set to the backdrop of the Overlord's bombastic musical performance.
Charlie and Vaggie make it onstage to confront Stellar, their anger barely contained as Stellar seethes internally, whispering into his earpiece and quietly promising to kill his entire staff and "fuck [their] corpses" once the concert is over. Maintaining his composure, Stellar talks to the crowd and seamlessly integrates Charlie and Vaggie's interruption into the performance, deceiving the audience into believing it's all part of the show.
Stellar exploits the medallion's power and takes control of Charlie and Vaggie's bodies as they charge at him, stopping them in place. As Charlie and Vaggie struggle to move, Stellar introduces them to the crowd as his backup singers and dancers, with Charlie being his new apprentice, forcing them to bow. Charlie and Vaggie try to tell the cheering crowd Stellar's plan, but he prevents them from talking. Stellar bombastically sings away, forcing Charlie and Vaggie to provide choreography. Throughout the bombastic musical number, Charlie and Vaggie try to escape his control, but the aura capturing them causes them agonizing pain when they try to resist. Helplessly trapped, Charlie and Vaggie reluctantly play their roles as Stellar's manipulated performers, while he continues his extravagant performance as the audience remains oblivious of the sinister reality.
As Alastor, Husk, and Niffty continue their ruthless onslaught against Stellar's staff, Niffty, chasing a terrified guard all the way to the peak of the stadium, where the spotlights are, becomes distracted by the spotlight section. Seizing a spotlight's wire, Niffty swings down to the stage, screaming like a maniac as she swings over Stellar, using the spotlight to comically knock Stellar into a light display, sending him flying and breaking his control over Charlie and Vaggie. Panting heavily, the duo recovers as the audience cheers, believing it to be part of the spectacle.
Vaggie, regaining her footing, seizes the opportunity to snatch the medallion from the dazed Stellar. However, their victory is short-lived as more of Stellar's enhanced guards swarm the stage, preventing their escape. With Vaggie unexpectedly finding herself on stage, she spontaneously begins singing "Livin' La Vida Loca" into the mic, momentarily confusing Stellar's men and leaving Charlie awestruck and in love. As Vaggie's confidence and singing prowess captivate the audience, Stellar awakens in a furious rage over being upstaged.
As Vaggie skillfully evades Stellar's security guards with graceful ease, she continues her song with growing confidence, fueled by the additional accompaniment of the orchestra and the enthusiastic cheers of the audience. Unintentionally utilizing the medallion's power to protect herself during the performance, Vaggie seamlessly incorporates these moments into her choreography, all while the crowd remains oblivious to the true danger posed by the guards.
However, Stellar intervenes, seizing Vaggie's hand to wield the medallion alongside her. With a spiteful flourish, he joins in Spanish singing with Vaggie, turning the duet into an awkward struggle on her part. Despite their ongoing conflict over the medallion, Stellar and Vaggie manage to keep singing as they continually snatch the medallion from each other, their "dance" resembling a bizarre game of hot potato to the crowd. At one point, Stellar holds Vaggie close while "dancing" with her, whispering a taunt to her that that crowd is cheering for him and not her, despite all the praise she was getting from the crowd a minute earlier. In the song's final verse, Stellar briefly gains control of the medallion while dipping Vaggie, only for her to retaliate with a headbutt during his final note as he raises her back up.
As the situation reaches a critical point, Stellar announces his intention to perform his final song, harnessing the surging power of the Medallion. Charlie rushes forward in a desperate attempt to intervene, but Stellar utilizes the medallion's magic to overpower her, bringing her to her knees. In a swift and ruthless move, he knocks Vaggie unconscious, slamming her into a nearby wall, provoking intense anger from Charlie. Stellar takes the time to ruthlessly taunt Charlie as she stirs with anger, emphasizing the similarities between their experiences of being unheard and unappreciated and believing she would join him for that. He expresses his intention to exploit the crystal's power to force everyone in Hell to appreciate him, envisioning a future where he reigns supreme over adoring fans who serve his every whim. Stellar concludes by ominously singling out Charlie as the first to succumb to his control and serve his desires.
As Stellar initiates his hypnotic song, Charlie unexpectedly counters with her own singing, prompting the medallion to embrace her as well. A tug-of-war ensues as the medallion oscillates between them, drawn by their shared singing power. Despite their equal determination, they reach a stalemate, with the medallion hovering between them, eluding their grasp. In a fit of anger, Stellar, in song, questions why the crystal would choose someone like Charlie, whom he deems worthless and unloved. This doubt causes Charlie to waver, allowing the medallion to gradually gravitate towards Stellar. As it does, its influence begins to sway some members of the audience.
During the intense confrontation, Charlie recalls a childhood lesson from her mother, Lilith, about embracing confidence and embracing flaws to one day sing as beautifully as her mother. Drawing upon this wisdom, Charlie undergoes a realization, empowering her. With determination, she rises to her feet embarks on a slow-motion stride towards Stellar in a serene manner. Her voice filling the stadium, she sings all of her flaws and shortcomings out to the audience, to which Stellar mocks her by telling her no one cares about her trauma-dumping. Charlie is completely undeterred, continuing to sing about embracing imperfections and disregarding the opinions of detractors, particularly those like Stellar who delight in crushing dreams and stifling potential.
As Charlie's self-assuredness grows, the Medallion begins to gravitate towards her, much to Stellar's bewildered fury. Stellar screams in confused fury and begins hurling blasts of magic at Charlie, but she doesn't even flinch as she continues her walk and song. Stellar suffers a full-on breakdown and screams profanities, no melody to his meltdown at all as Charlie has stolen the show.
Ultimately, it is Stellar's own inability to confront or even acknowledge his flaws and insecurities that seals his defeat. Charlie takes possession of the Medallion, its omnidirectional energy engulfs the stadium upon contact with her, targeting Stellar and propelling the vain Overlord out of the venue and bringing an end to his scheme.
Chapter 5
In "A Complete Shitshow", a month after Leviathan's attempt to flood the seven rings, Stellar is overseeing the finalized renovations of his building, Stellar Records. After harshly berating and hurrying his staff, he is satisfied with the final result, boasting that nothing will be able to damage the new building, just as several armored vehicles barrel through the entrance. An army of demons, all dressed in angelic armor, emerge and begin attempting to kill Stellar. Insisting that he is too precious to fight "plebeians", Stellar has his staff fight on his behalf, though they are quickly dispatched, forcing Stellar to defend himself.
After the group's commander, Izzi, shows himself, Stellar halfheartedly attempts to kill him, not taking him seriously, though Izzi avoids Stellar's attacks with difficulty all while signaling his soldiers to attack Stellar's blindspots with their weaponry. Despite their grenades and weapons stunning him, Stellar manages to strike Izzi with one of his magical musical notes, sending him crashing into a wall. Stellar, in his arrogance, ridiculed Izzi for believing that a "nobody" like him could defeat an Overlord. While praising himself and preparing to deal the killing blow, Stellar is suddenly shot through the head with an angelic bullet by Striker from behind, causing him to fall to the ground, erased. His staff were soon tortured and murdered by Izzi himself.
Personality
- "I am a star! I am STELLAR! A goddamn legend! A fucking God among mortals! My music reaches and speaks to the soul of all whose eardrums are graced with it! I could make the angels of Heaven cry their fucking eyes out with jealousy! It's true, fucking all of it! What song describes that? FUCKING NOTHING! My genius is too damn great to compare with! You see my dilemma, babe?"
- — Stellar to Charlie while struggling to write a song.
Stellar was the worst kind of celebrity musician; He exuded vanity, charisma, petulance, theatrics, sarcasm, and relentless boasting. As an Overlord with a god-like complex, he harbored an insatiable obsession with fame, fortune, and the unwarranted adulation of his fans. Draped in ostentatious attire, he subscribed to the notion that his wealth and celebrity status entitled him to unchecked behavior, whether it involved mistreating those in his orbit or indulging in substance abuse. His ambition knew no bounds, as he sought to lay claim to the entirety of the music realm in Hell, displaying a readiness to resort to murder when met with resistance or contract refusals. He is abusive and cold, frequently resorting to insults and tearing down dreams. What makes him truly dangerous is his inability to feel emotions. He craves the affection of others, and revels in soaking in their love because he lacks any of his own.
Despite his outward bravado, he harbors a profound fear of inadequacy and rejection, which fuels his need to tear other people down. A consummate perfectionist, he subjected his subordinates and contracted artists to relentless criticism and micromanagement, molding their creative output until it mirrored his vision. Narcissism coursed through his veins, with an unshakable belief in his deity-like status, a disdainful perspective on others, and even audacious claims about his own allure.
Despite his self-serving and often reprehensible machinations, Stellar's flamboyance and overwhelming narcissism transform him into a villain with a broad comedic appeal. Despite his generally insufferable attitude, he proves to be thoroughly entertaining to watch and is delightfully petty and hammy.
Despite his rash temper, Stellar can be emotionally abusive and manipulative, as shown when he preyed on Charlie's self-esteem issues, promising to make her a beloved star if she signed a soul contract.
Stellar's darker side revealed a sadistic streak, finding perverse pleasure in the screams of his victims, which he disturbingly likened to his favorite "music" or his personal "symphony." His behavior, however, betrayed a hypocritical nature. While he readily criticized the works of others, he displayed little tolerance for criticism directed at himself, dismissing his detractors as "uncultured swines." In moments of encountering what he deemed "bad music," his reactions were both violent and coarse. An incident where he initially praised a song only to later berate its creator for composing it on a whim exemplified his capricious and volatile disposition. Furthermore, Stellar's troubling tendencies extended to predatory behavior. He unabashedly preyed upon his devoted fans, not only for financial gain and bolstering his ego but also for sexual gratification whenever he grew bored.
Stellar could be seen as potentially the most dangerous Overlord in the annals of Hell, harboring clandestine aspirations not limited to the Pride Ring but all seven rings. Upon an unexpected revelation from Charlie regarding the true capabilities of the seemingly ordinary Medallion of Virtue, initially dismissed as a mere ornament, Stellar seizes it for himself. His clandestine agenda involves harnessing the medallion's formidable power to hypnotize the entire realm, transforming its inhabitants into his devoted "fanboys, fangirls, and playthings." In a rare moment of introspection, Stellar felt betrayed by Charlie, anticipating that she would comprehend the shared "struggle" of their underappreciated musical talents, before attempting to mind control Charlie merely to gauge the medallion's potency.
Stellar exhibits abusive behavior towards his subordinates, frequently berating them over minor issues, physically mistreating his imp devotees by kicking and stepping on them, and forcefully slamming one imp against a wall using his staff. He openly declares his pleasure in mistreating those under his command, asserting that it is essential for them to understand their subservient position, aligning with his belief in upholding Hell's principles of tyranny. In general, he treats everyone with disdain solely due to his status as a prominent rock star. He shamelessly exploited his talented songwriters and mercilessly pushed his musical apprentices to their limits, all in pursuit of financial gain. His actions left a trail of burnout and exhaustion among those who worked closely with him. Additionally, it was evident that Stellar struggled with substance abuse, particularly favoring cocaine. This dependency on drugs likely contributed to his sporadic and violent outbursts, providing some insight into the erratic nature of his behavior.
He was extremely arrogant and didn't think highly of many Overlords, or anyone for that matter. He thought that his music is the best in all of Hell, and disparaged other people's music as "bubblegum music", finding any holes he can to tear into other people's art to build himself up. He wa also complacent when engaging other demons in battle, as he believed that he had won against Alastor during their battle, not even bothering to make sure the Radio Demon was completely weakened, which Alastor exploited by crippling and defeating Stellar once his guard was down. He later underestimated Izzi's tactics and brush him off as weak, which ended up costing him his afterlife when he dropped his guard and indirectly allowed Striker to snipe him through the head from behind with a Blessing-Tipped rifle.
Appearance
Stellar has the appearance of a parrot demon with distinctive features. He has a white face, crimson eyes, and a crown of dark red hair adorning his head. His body was adorned in a striking coat of crimson feathers, and his arms bore long wings adorned with a captivating red and white pattern.
His flamboyant fashion sense was impossible to ignore. He sported golden shades reminiscent of wings, a regal dark-purple suit with a high collar, accentuated by black trimmings and a prominent golden star at its center. Underneath, he donned a pristine white undershirt. Completing his ensemble were long, sleek black gloves and polished black boots.
A truly extravagant touch to his ensemble was his gaudy golden cane, adorned with a profusion of multicolored jewels, each fashioned in the shape of musical notes. This cane, a testament to his opulent tastes, accompanied him nearly everywhere he went.
Powers and Abilities
Natural Powers
- Demonic Transformation: Stellar could voluntarily transform into his powerful Full Demon Form, as well as effortlessly revert back to his original form.
- Immortality: As a sinner, Stellar had already experienced death and couldn't be killed again unless a with divine power or angelic weaponry. That was until Striker used his angelic rifle to shot the Overlord in the head, thus erasing him.
- Nigh-Invulnerability: Stellar, as both a sinner and Overlord was extremely durable and resilient, allowing him to survive his own explosions, and head-on attacks from Overlords with barely a scratch.
- Regeneration: Stellar could regenerate from ungodly amounts of punishment, with nothing short of divine power and holy weaponry being capable of doing lasting or afterlife-threatening damage to him. Case in point, he was eventually able to recover from being decapitated by Alastor, in addition to his body being devoured by the Radio Demon's minions, though he was traumatized by the experience.
Unique Powers
- Demonic Power: As an Overlord, Stellar wielded an overwhelming reservoir of demonic power, endowing him with supremacy over lesser demons and allowing him to battle demons like Alastor to a near-stalemate - forcing the Radio Demon to use his wits to defeat the Music Overlord. His abilities revolved primarily around musical notes and melodies, enabling him to unleash devastating, explosive forces through the manipulation of his unstable musical notes.
- Animakinesis: As an Overlord, Stellar can take ownership of anyone's soul, mainly through making deals. This binds his clients to his will, allowing him to summon them, and in extreme instances, torture them spiritually, causing them unbearable, debilitating agony, or outright erase their existence - no matter how far away they are from him - in order to force them to do what he wants. As an Overlord, he owns over a thousand, if not millions, of souls.
- Clothing Manipulation: Stellar had the uncanny ability to change his outfits in an extremely fast manner befitting different eras and genres of music (i.e transforming into a cowboy getup while playing western music).
- Ergokinesis: Stellar could fire heat beams of red, orange and yellow energy from his eyes, and shoot explosive spheres and projectiles that could explode or injure demons and pulverize vehicles.

- Fragokinesis: Stellar made his own pyrotechnics during his musical numbers. His larger musical blasts had also been shown capable of destroying and leveling entire buildings.
- Hypnotism: Stellar could use his musical voice and magical instruments to place lower demons under a trance-like state where they are compelled to sing and dance along to his tunes, as well as assist him in his plans.
- Musical Telekinesis: Stellar could levitate any object of his choosing using his magical instruments or even by simply singing or scatting, flinging them at his opponents or even creating sentient golems by piling said objects onto each other.
- Object Materialization: Stellar could spawn his musical instruments and magical contracts out of thin air.
- Pyrokinesis: Stellar could produce and conjure powerful balls of hellfire capable of burning sinners alive, as well as conjure fire balls and cause explosions of fire and smoke.
- Reality Warping: Stellar could model the colors and the theme of a room or a structure, primarily modeling after a musical theme or a song.
- Sonic Scream: Stellar could produce high-frequency shockwaves through his powerful voice. Even while merely singing, his voice proved powerful enough to shatter glass, including the glasses of one unfortunate sinner, blinding him. His sonic scream was highly useful in combat situations against numerous attackers, which was shown during his battle with Alastor, where Stellar used his sonic scream to outright make the Radio Demon's doll minions explode from the intensity.
- Shockwave Generation: Stellar could produce shockwaves of various intensity by plucking or strumming his magical guitar, from simply rumbling the ground to outright sending other people or even cars jumping and flying back.
- Symphokinesis: By manipulating energy, Stellar could conjure blocks of energy in the shape of musical notes, or sheet music, of various sizes, and use them to either attack his enemies, shield himself from offensive attacks, or even fly by jumping on top of them and manipulating their direction. He can create rows of sheet music to surround himself, protecting him from virtually any offensive attack from any direction. His smaller musical notes are incendiary in nature, being able to disintegrate or melt virtually anything they come in contact with, while his larger musical notes were far more robust, but very unstable, exploding violently once they hit a target or surface. Whenever Stellar's notes explodes, or he uses them to block an offensive attack, the notes produce a sound resembling the note that it was made in the image of.

- Bilingualism: Stellar can speak English as well as Spanish, as shown in his duet with Vaggie in "Livin' La Vida Loca".
- Musical Talent: Stellar was a masterfully skilled singer, conductor and songwriter, and could play various instruments like guitars, keyboards, pianos, or saxophones. He was also noted to be a concert-level, world class singer.
- Influence: As an Overlord, Stellar possessed dominion over the lower classes of Hell and was considered part of the middle echelon of Hell's social ladder. He was also the owner of a large company in the Pride Ring that owned almost all music and theme songs of Hell, and he himself was an active and popular singer and one of the most influential songwriters in Pride.
Weaknesses
- Arrogance: Stellar arrogantly proclaimed his victory over Alastor, when he believed he defeated him, completely unbothered to check if he is truly weakened and/or injured, which became his downfall after the Radio Demon took advantage of it. He also greatly underestimated Izzi's tactics and because of his lower rank in Hell's hierarchy and didn't take him seriously. After he struck him, he quickly let his guard down, which finally led to Striker seizing the opportunity by shooting the Parrot Demon in the head with an angelic bullet.
- Divine Intervention: Like any other demons, divine power or angelic weaponry could permanently injure Stellar, nullify his regeneration, and potentially erase his soul. That's exactly what happened to him after he received a shot in the head by Striker with an angelic bullet.
- Drug Addiction: Stellar was addicted to cocaine and other recreational drugs, which often caused him to react irrationally and make decisions with an unclear head.
Relationships
Allies
Sock and Buskin
Stellar formed a close alliance and friendship with the theater Overlords known as Sock and Buskin. Their bond was forged through a shared passion for music and the dramatic arts. Over time, Stellar became an invaluable collaborator, offering his expertise and support to Sock and Buskin in the production of their plays and musicals. Together, they created unforgettable theatrical experiences that showcased their combined talents and artistic synergy.
Valentino
Stellar was a frequent visitor at the infamous Porn Studios, where he not only indulged in the company of Valentino's workers but also engaged in candid conversations with the Overlord himself. Their meetings were marked by drinks and engaged banter, often directing ridicule at the expense of Vox.
Enemies
Vox
Stellar and Vox intensely disliked each other, each jockeying for the position of the Pride Ring's true Overlord of music. Stellar perceived Vox's taste in music to be "garbage", disparaging dubstep, and electronic music in general, as "fake/bubblegum music".
Charlie Magne
Stellar's interest in Charlie piqued when the princess and the Hazbin gang tried to convince him to part with a Medallion of Virtue, a jewel the Overlord casually adorned on his staff. Fixating on Charlie, Stellar treated her friends like common trash and proposed a deal: he would give the medallion over if Charlie agreed to be his next apprentice. Enamored by the princess's singing talents, Stellar, targeting Charlie's self-esteem issues, highlighted Lucifer and Lilith's disapproval of her dreams, and the disdain and mockery she receives from her subjects, in addition to disparaging what little support she gets from others. Offering a contract for her to become his student, Stellar promised to transform her into a universally beloved star under his wing.
Upon Charlie's rejection of Stellar's proposition, the latter concocted a scheme to harness the Medallion of Virtue for an empowerment boost. His plan involved hypnotizing the entire realm of Hell into adoring him during a concert, exploiting the medallion's potent capabilities, which he discovered through the dismayed princess. In a state of inebriation and madness fueled by newfound power, Stellar's downfall came when Charlie embraced her imperfections and untapped potential. This self-realization enabled her to triumph over Stellar, seizing the Medallion from the power-hungry Overlord.

Succubus: (while fidgeting nervously) S- S- Some fucking asshole drove by and splashed mud all over this dress, a- a- and I didn't have time to-

- "Stellar Assistant: M'lord, do you wish to respond to those desperate bitches who submitted all those audition tapes?
Stellar: (he groans; whispering) Fucking NOW?! (he motions to Flick) I'm fucking talking to this fool! (normally, groaning) Fine... (he smiles at Flick) Wait here, little one... (Flick awkwardly and uncomfortably waits; Stellar hangs up the phone and picks up another one) YOU AIN'T WORKIN' IN MY FUCKIN' TOWN AGAIN, YOU FUCKING STUPID, FUCKIN' CLIT-EATING, TALENTLESS WHORE-" - — Stellar reviewing auditions.
- "Stellar: Mmm, I love it, I love it, I love it! (he kisses the script) Mwah! (he giggles in an almost aroused manner) Welcome to my company, bud! What's your inspiration?
Flick: Oh, I just kinda winged. Made it up as I went along, you know?
Stellar: (his expression almost instantly darkens as he lowers his glasses) ...Say what now?
Flick: I just... Made it up as I went along, y'know? (he laughs nervously as Stellar fumes) It actually kinda comes from the heart, 'cuz that one lyric...
Stellar: STUFF A COCK IN IT!! You can't just fucking make up lyrics as you go along!! For fuck's safe, what made that little piece of dogshit you fucking dare to call a brain think I would fucking ENTERTAIN accepting a strain that you pulled like shit outta your ass?! That's bad songwriting, motherfucker! (he tears up the script and tossed on the floor) This is fucking trash!!! HOT FUCKING GARBAGE!!! (he spits on it, causing it to catch on fire)
Flick: But- But you just said-
Stellar: FUCK OFF!!! (he goes into his Full Demon Form) The music I create comes from my very soul! When I sing, I FEEL the fucking words! When I play, I HEAR the goddamn music! My craft is DIVINE! (stammers) I AM DIVINE! My music is fucking life itself given sound! I AM THE GREATEST FUCKING MUSICIAN IN HELL, AND YOU WANT ME TO PRODUCE THIS DREK?! GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY SIGHT, YOU UNCULTURED SHITSTAIN!!! (Flick quickly runs out the building, leaving Stellar to transform back to normal and straighten his glasses) Humph, some people...
Assistant: (enter the room) Sire, your guests have arrived.
Stellar: (cheerful) Oh, goody gumdrops! I need to be at my most hospitable! Someone bring me some opium!" - — Stellar firing a worker he had just hired.
- "I LOVE competition in the industry, mate! Out of respect, I did try to make their dyin' screams as melodic as possible. It's so much fun to hear the succulent music of the competish'!"
- — Stellar after annihilating a record company's building.
- "Stellar: Welcome to Stellar Records! (to Charlie) Welcome, welcome princess! (to Vaggie) Encantada de conocerte, mi encantadora! (to the wider hotel crew) And helloooo, riff raff! I would assume an introduction is absolutely not necessary, but assuming you undesirables are a little slow, I am Lord Stellar! The Ruler of Records, the Monarch of Melodies, the Greatest Musician in all of Hell!!! And I'm delighted to inform you that you have all been chosen by a higher power to grace my abode!
Ren: (to Vaggie) Did he just call himself God?
Stellar: (he laughs) I see it has not escaped your notice that I refer to myself as the Almighty. Allow me to spell it out for you; I alone control the entire music industry in Pride, baby! I have the right to call myself God when I rule like one." - — Stellar greeting the hotel crew.
- "Charlie: By the way I, uh, love your accent-..sss... What is it?
Stellar: Whatever's the most fuckable, darling." - — Charlie and Stellar while in an elevator.
- "Ah, the Overlords, they love me! Sock and Buskin, what darlings! Rosie, a true, one of a kind lady of class! Carmilla, the head of the table! Every time I lay my eyes on her, some new lyrics pop into my head... and they're just as hot as she is, baby! And, uh... of course, Alastor. (he sighs, leaning into Charlie) It's not you, Charlotte. It's the company you keep. (he pats her cheek, much to her surprise) But you see, Charlotte, in recent times, my fellow Overlords' opinion of me has gone to shit. (he laughs) They think that I'm... a liar! A narcissist! Some kind of coke-addicted has-been! All because of some zoomer shitstain twats too busy cancelling people or jerking themselves off to the latest plastic doll to do something with their meaningless existence! Shit, it's not ALWAYS about me! I'm dedicated! I CAN BE BENEVOLENT!!! (he says this while throttling his imp butler)"
- — Stellar venting to Charlie.
- "Stellar: Delighted to have you all here! My fans are, after all, the lifeblood of every fucking thing I do! They provide me with an ego boost and high almost as great as coke! When they scream my name, I feel like a king! When they buy my albums, I can pay for whatever substances I wish! And when I'm bored, well, I can always find other uses for my loyal fans... (Stellar snickers)
Charlie: Isn't it just a little... SUPER creepy to prey on your fans?
Stellar: (temporarily loses his smirk, before gaining it again) Look, sweetheart, the way I think about it is this: I can either make these lonely, insecure, gullible fucking losers feel like garbage or I can grant their fantasies and give them the illusion of feeling special. Do I take advantage of their young, impressionable naivete? Absolutely. Do they enjoy it? Yes! Do I enjoy it? FUCK YES!!!" - — Stellar about his fangirls.
- "Ah, so you're telling me that what I have in my hands isn't just a shiny piece of neckwear, one of many, but is actually a celestial object of untapped power? (He laughs sinisterly, looking at the medallion) That makes things a tad more interesting... (His eyes shine red as the medallion's power swirls around his body) With this, I could truly rule everything..."
- — Stellar discovering the Medallion of Virtue's power during his conversation with Charlie.
- "So, that thing I said about it not always being about me? (he does a Betty Boop face; falsetto voice) Oopsie! I was wrong! (demonic)IT'S ALWAYS ABOUT ME!!! EVERY FUCKING THING (normal) will be about me! The lowly artist wants a chance to shine? They'll have to go to me. You want to hear an artist on my label? I'm the face of the label. The voice of the label. The heart and very soul of the label! From now on, without me, nothing functions!"
- — Stellar.
- "(whispering) You hear them cheer for me? Did you hear them cheer for you? Exactly, they love me you fucking cuntsucker."
- — Stellar taunting Vaggie during their musical number.
- "Oh, no, no, no, sweetie. (He cackles) I figured you of all demons would understand me! You know how it feels for no one to listen to you! For your unparalleled musical talents to go unappreciated! Well, with this bedazzled beauty, EVERYONE will finally appreciate me! Hell will become my personal stadium of little robotic fanboys, fangirls, and playthings, forced to appreciate my perfect music and serve my every whim. Starting with... YOU."
- — Stellar to Charlie while taking the Medallion of Virtue back from her.
- "(Stellar laughs cockily) Really? Trauma-dumping? No one cares, sweetie! [...] Is this some fucking stupid attempt to validate yourself? Because I assure you- (He notices the medallion floating towards Charlie as she sings passionately) What...? ...No. FUCK NO!!! (He hurls a red magic bolt at Charlie, but she doesn't even flinch) WHAT THE FUCK!!! [...] STOP! GET AWAY FROM THAT! (Stellar goes into a full breakdown as Charlie sings unflinchingly) YOU'RE WORTHLESS! I AM STELLAR! THE GREATEST MUSICIAN TO EVER LIVE! Do you think this pathetic display will make anyone love you?! [...] YOU RANCID, BLONDE, CARPET-EATING WENCH! STUPID, SPOTLIGHT-HOGGING C***!!! GOD-FUCKING-DAMMIT! THAT'S MY MOTHERFUCKING MEDALLION, YOU TALENTLESS, UNLOVED, UNWANTED WHORE!!!"
- — Stellar's breakdown.
Chapter 5
- "Imp: ...Are you on drugs?
Stellar: Drugs?! FUCK no! Why would you say that? How uncultured! (he says this while hurriedly snorting the last couple of lines of cocaine off his desk before anyone notices)" - — Stellar during a deal.
- "How else are the riff-raff going to know their place? This realm was founded on tyranny and I shall uphold that tradition! The very air they breath in my presence is a privilege and I shall withhold even that if they cannot please their ruler! They are here to serve me, and anything less is unacceptable! I am their ruler! I am their GOD!"
- — Stellar's views on his servants.
- "Rich?! I am WEALTHY! My wealth is immeasurable, and the only thing I've accumulated that can almost be measured is the jealousy in my rivals' hearts! (snotty laugh)"
- — Stellar to Izzi.

Trivia
- His name means "exceptionally good; outstanding", befitting his arrogant personality.
- His original name was "Sonato", which was a play on the word "sonata".
- His theme song would be "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen.
- He was modeled after the Song parrot, fitting for his motif as a rock star.
- He could speak French and Spanish.
- Stellar spoke with a very inconsistent, on and off accent. He often switched between a British, American, Jamaican, Australian, Italian, Spanish and French accent on a whim. At one point, Charlie even asks him what his accent is, to which he replies "whatever's the most fuckable".
- Stellar's inconsistent accent seemed indicative of his manipulative personality. When he wanted to be charming, he used the sultry Spanish, French, or friendly Jamaican accent, but when he didn't give a shit, he used his (presumably) natural American accent.
- He has heterochromia, as his left eye color is gold while the right is crimson.
- His speech pattern and many of his mannerisms were inspired by David Bowie.
- He puts cocaine in his coffee.
- In "Challenge Day", it is confirmed that no one within the Overlord circle liked Stellar, due to the politics and controversies he inserts himself into as well as his generally annoying, headlining attitude. Carmilla asserts that everyone merely tolerated him, while Sock called him a "hubristic jerk wad".
- Due to his particular hate for dubstep, Stellar was locked in a rivalry with the technological Overlord Vox, who is the owner of a company that distributes electronic music.
- Stellar's screams of terror were very high-pitched, almost sounding like a tweeting bird.
